Pride vs. UFC Need a few testers.

So yeah, if anyones up for testing the data and helping me out on this, let me know and I'll wing you the data. Ideally someone with good MMA knowledge (Biggz, MPH, Fitzy maybe?), ideally of the 2000/2001 time period. For those not sure when that is, it's just after the Pride Openweight GP and just before the Wanderlei/Sakuraba first fight. It's also just before the UFC implemented NSAC weight classes used today. Their champions are Couture, Ortiz and Miletich.
Oh yeah, the reason I'm not doing it publically is the thing that happened with DOMMA, where there was a bit of bitching about it not being finished (on another forum) and I can't be bothered with a PM box full of stuff everytime I log in.
Any help is much appreciated :)

My MMA knowledge is getting better by the day, and I have watched all the Prides up to about 2004 now, as well as all the UFC's so if you need some play testers I am in.

Had a quick look while I had lunch, but I havent played past the first day and all have done is look at fighter stats so far, here are the things I have come accros
Pride
Daijiro Matsui should probably be with Pride
Sakuraba's kicks are better than non-existent
Gilbert Yvel's striking skills need to be better IMO
Coleman's wrestling probably need to be upped, the guy had some serious game at the time.
Goodridge, Wanderlei, Kerr, Coleman, Gilbert Yvel, Herring and Mezger all need to have their experience levels upped.
UFC
Jeff Monson needs his submissions upped, while his stand up was rudimentary at this point (his boxing did eventually improve) the guy is a former high level Abu Dhabi competitor and probably needs a boost in that area.
Jens Pulvers stats need pushing up, his sprawl and brawl are legendary, and the guy at the time was an awesome fighter in the new UFC lightweight division
Ortiz's clinch skill need upping, granted he's not Randy, but his clinch was decent and then he often used it to take his opponents down.
Evan Tanner may need his skills upping a bit (more of an observation)
Josh Barnett's skills may be a little on the low side, remember that just one year later the guy defeated Randy for the belt (despite this being the steroids controversy I still think its notable.
Rizzo's wrestling skills may need tweaking, while his takedown's were still fairly rudimentary, his ability to stop the take down against Randy in their epic 5 round match was was awesome and lead to him been able to keep the match standing a lot more than it may have.
Carlos Newton's stats feel a bit low, he stood toe to toe with some of the best around this time and more than held his own against the likes of Matt Hughes, his matches were also really exciting so maybe that needs looking at.
Gan McGee's skills may need an upwards tweak, not saying he was stellar, but the guy was far from terrible.
Matt Hughes, Yuki Kondo, Rizzo, Newton and possibley others need their experience level checking (some of them are "green" when they shouldn't be) (Y)
Japan
Sakurai's stats need tweaking up a rank in some cases. He was one of the best int he world in 2001.
Caol Uno's stats similarly may need tweaking, but his excitemtn rating definatley could do with some movement, the guy was one of the most exciting competitors in 2000/2001 and he's still not too bad if his matches in 2008/9 are anything to go by.
TK's ground skills could do with upping a bit, his guard was legendary.
Uno, Sinae Kikuta and T Kato all need their experience looking at agan
USA
Trigg's wrestling could maybe do with upping, that's never been his problem :)
Aaron Riley, Dennis Hallman, Don Frye, Ken Shamrock, Yves Edwards, Dave Menne and probably more need their experience levels beefing up a bit
Other
Royce Gracie probably shouldn't be "green"
Semmy Schilt's striking should be improved, the guy was and is a pretty awesome K-1 Kickboxer, its always been the other parts of MMA he has struggled with.
Again Schilt and Andrei Semenov probably shouldn't be considered "green"
Still brilliant work dude, I will continue this later and start simming and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for that Rich, some awesome feedback and exactly what I'm looking for. Yvel is already changed for the next one, I'll get on the rest later. Is that a spectator game? Also, just keep a heads up for the stats for some guys like Sakurai. They have a fight or two then go up massively.
Oh, and unless someone who I think's got a really good MMA base of knowledge wants in, that'll do for testers right now. :)

PRIDE made an offer for Matt Hughes and I have no way of counter negotiating because of Hughes' contract status. Something will need to be done about that because I have a feeling it will come up a lot.

Few more notes:
Ikuhisa Minowa needs his submissions, excitement (Fight of the night?), charisma and experience looked at, the guy is awesome with his leg locks.
Joe Scarola, while lacking heart, has some sick Jiu jistu, maybe raise his submissions a bit?
Mike Van Arsdale may need his wrestling up a bit, he is old and wont improve much, but was always great with the wrestling, its just everything else that let him down
Oleg Taktarov- exp
Shonie Carter may need an upping in his stand up stats, he was always decent, just inconsistent, lacked a solid cardio and was not always the most strategic.
Paulo Filho's stats may be a little low, but if its going to be like you talked about Sakurai, I can see them rising nicely.
Akihiro Gono - exp
Drew Fickett- exp
Murilo Rua's stats are a little low as well
Really enjoying it though (Y)

I don't know if this can be fixed or improved, but in terms of playability, the mad rush by each promotion early on to snap up workers and put them on exclusive contracts is disappointing. I feel the need to sign up several workers in advance so that I can use them later, and it limits the ability for journeymen to act accordingly. Unfortunate, but i'm not sure what could be done.

Why don't you just sign up guys on standard contracts? it would give them the chance to fight elsewhere while still being attached to your promotion.
I am a year in now, and its all good so far, the only main hinderence I am finding is the experience levels needed to be fixed, but obviously thats been done or is in the process of being.
I am really going to put this out there but.... Are Fedor's stats just too good? The guy came in to the game world, then joined Pride fought 5 times in a year, dominated each fight and now has probably 90% of the categories at the highest level o_O
