WCW Headquarters
2 days before Starcade 97

Ted Turner is sat at a desk in his office when the door knocks.

Turner: Come in Eric.

Bischoff enters the office.

Bischoff: You wanted to see me Ted.

Turner: Yes, I did. Now take a seat Eric.

Turner points towards a chair opposite him. Eric Bischoff slowly makes his way to the chair and takes a seat.

Turner: I've been thinking Eric. 1997 was a successful year in WCW. Our shares went up, our arenas were sold out all the time, merchandise was selling better than the WWF's. This was all due to one main storyline. That storyline Eric was the nWo. The nWo made for great viewing and for good ratings. Soon it will be a new year in WCW. The WCW 1998 era. Now of late this whole WCW Vs nWo angle has been starting to go stale. We'll want to end this huge storyline while it's still in it's prime. That's why at Starcade it's going to Larry Zybysco Vs you Eric Bischoff in a winner takes all match. Eric I think the nWo angle should finish that's why at Starcade I want you to lose your match to Larry Zybysco and for the nWo to be disbanded.

Bischoff: But Ted I can still work wonders with the storyline between WCW and nWo.

Turner: We've done all we can Eric. This storyline has gone on now for almost a year. We don't want the fans getting sick of it.

Bischoff: I hear what your saying but give me a chance to get up some new nWo angles.

Turner: No Eric, the decision is final. At Starcade you will lose to Zybysco, then the nWo will be over and we can think of new creative storylines and angles for the new fresh year of 1998.

Bischoff: Ok, but i'm not happy about this.

Turner: Listen, of late the WWF has been catching up on us. They have rising stars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kane, Rocky Maivia and Jeff Jarrett that are really making an impact there. But we have good young stars in the making also don't you forget. Chris Jericho, Raven, Perry Saturn, Rey Mysterio JR, Chris Benoit, Booker T, Buff Bagwell and many more. The year of 1998 is a time for these stars to shine in WCW. They're going to need your creative help with that.

Bischoff: I've been checking the ratings of late. WWF is currently in the lead. Looks like 1998 is going to be a long hard year ahead of us.

Turner: We cannot be too concerned on the ratings war. Let's just get our company going and forget about how well we're doing against the WWF in the ratings.

Bischoff: The roster needs abit of re shuffering. I'll get to that later on.

Turner: Good. That will be all now go prepare yourself for your match in two days against larry Zybysco.

Bischoff: Yes Ted Turner.

Eric Bischoff gets to his feet and shakes Teds hand before leaving his office.

Bischoff: Good. I best be going. I got Thunder to plan.
