In November 2005 it was announced through various news outlets that Kenji Aoki and Hideki Takahashi, two backstage company men from All Japan, has handed in their resignation to the company and in turn decided to start up a promotion of their own. This was officially labeled a "performance company", meaning that it would hold poruoresu shows in the near future. Aoki and Takahashi quickly announced the participation of Toshiaki Kawada, who had just completely split with All Japan earlier, and said that their quest was to bring back Baba-san's "Oudou" style, something that Mutoh had moved away from according to them. The All Japan backstage circuit was also one giant mess as both Aoki and Takahashi had left to form King's Road and Watanabe had joined in on the resignation to go back to New Japan. That meant Mutoh was scrambling for replacements while also dealing with loss of talent.

Loss of talent as in King's Road, or Aoki and Takahashi, attracted several current and future All Japan main performers. Kazushi Miyamoto, who the before mentioned promotion had been building for alot of years, was now transferring to King's Road, citing that he grew up with the Baba style of Oudou and not in the Mutoh world. "The Last Child Of Oudou", as he was dubbed, was the first official regular with King's Road and it would only go downhill for All Japan from there. Despite announced earlier Kawada's name had not been fully set in stone for the KR but the publicity given from simply mentioning his probable participation and the fact that the two men wanted to revive real Oudou was enough to already give King's Road a cult following. And justly afterwards Aoki announced the plans of running for Tokyo Nippon Budokan, the old holy ground for Giant Baba.

The final blow came when it was reported that Genichiro Tenryu, a legendary man in Japan and known as "Mr. Puroresu", was subsequently announced for the roster of King's Road and given the main event on the first event against Kazushi Miyamoto. Things were looking up for the tag team of Kenji and Hideki and looking grim for Keiji Mutoh. But the worst was yet to come, in this both cheerful and tragic situation. It had been rumored for several weeks that Taiyo Kea, a member of Roughly Obsess & Destroy, was also set to leave All Japan. Coupled with Jamal leaving for World Wrestling Entertainment RO&D seemed to be a stable set to fall apart. And that it did, as Kea announced that he was following Miyamoto over to King's Road and taking Shota Takanishi, a young prospect in the AJPW dojo and said to be Mutoh's favorite, with him. Hideki Takahashi quickly announced the plans to debut him at the first show of KR.

Then the participants of "HAATAGE", the approproately named first event, came rolling in. Daisuke Ikeda, Yuki Ishikawa, Tarzan Goto, the mysterious Blue Justice, Tomohiko Hashimoto and Riki Sensyu of DDT fame, Shiro Koshinaka, Takao Omori and last but not least Yuto Aijima. With that they had already designated an ace and already had a trueborn; namely Kazushi Miyamoto acting as the young ace and Shota Takanishi as a trueborn should they manage to debut him at "HAATAGE", which is rather likely.

~ So, as of January 2006, All Japan had lost the following talents to King's Road; Taiyo Kea, Shota Takanishi and Kazushi Miyamoto. Miyamoto is currently regarded as the ace of King's Road while Shota Takanishi will soon become the first, and hopefully not only, trueborn of King's Road. All three men are now considered regulars with the promotion.

~ Genichiro Tenryu and Toshiaki Kawada are both former Triple Crown champions and both are also former Champion's Carnival winners. Tenryu is also one of very few men to have beat both Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki in their respective promotions, and he is also a former IWGP Heavyweight champion.

~ King's Road promoters Kenji Aoki and Hideki Takahashi also claim to revive the Oudou style of wrestling that made All Japan popular in it's heyday. This style has been perfected by the likes of Giant Baba, Jumbo Tsuruta, Kenta Kobashi, Mitsuharu Misawa, Toshiaki Kawada, Genichiro Tenryu and Akira Taue.

This should be interesting. King's Road had a lot of hype behind it, but they failed to really capitalise with anything truly outstanding. It was a solid idea, but the fact that Kawada quickly pulled out of the idea, and things generally working against them, it never really took off. Plus Miyamoto just wasn't that big a name player.

I am curious to see how you would go about booking it.

JANUARY 2, 2006

~ A press conference for King's Road was held today as Kenji Aoki and Hideki Takahashi, along with Genichiro Tenryu and Kazushi Miyamoto, concerning the upcoming debut show of KR, namely "HAATAGE". Along with general promotion and publicity for show Aoki announced the rest of the matches and Shota Takanishi's very first opponent in a professional wrestling contest. This showed to be the veteran Yuki Ishikawa. Riki Sensyu and Tomohiko Hashimoto, collectively announced as Team DDT, was set to take on Shiro Koshinaka and Takao Omori. The mysterious Blue Justice and Tarzan Goto was also set to lock horns. Finally Kazushi Miyamoto had some choice words for his opponent Genichiro Tenryu, saying that it was an honor for him to take on such a legend. But as he was "The Last Child Of Oudou" he promised to channel the spirit of Baba-san and defeat Tenryu.

Tenryu then decided to defend himself but not before mentioning that it was great honor to him to be involved with King's Road and the revival of the Oudou style. Tenryu said that he was excited to be working with so many old friends and so many young talents and he was hoping to made new acquaintances and also honor Baba-san's legacy by putting on the best performance of his life. And that was why he was going to walk out victorous at "HAATAGE". With all due respect to Miyamoto, as Tenryu said, he was looking forward to facing him but he thought that his cockiness would get the best of him. The subject of Gaijins was also touched upon by the press but both Aoki and Takahashi refused to say any names despite mentioning that they are interested in bringing in Gaijin wrestlers and have a few in mind, at the moment. Then they pointed out that Taiyo Kea was already a respected and talented Gaijin wrestler, playing to his Samoan heritage.

Finally the date for the second King's Road event was set to take place on the last day of February, namely February 28th. The shows name has been set as "EXCITE", which some say is a shot at All Japan who usually runs the "Excite Series" as a tour on this month. Matches should be announced during next month but already promised to be appear is, other then the regulars, are Takao Omori, Daisuke Ikeda and Yuki Ishikawa. After these press announcements a small scale photoshoot was done, with individual pictures for every talent that was present and then a group photo.

KING'S ROAD HATAAGE 15/01/06

Kazushi Miyamoto shocked everyone, in the main event, as he went toe-to-toe with "Mr. Puroresu" Genichiro Tenryu. He used a vast array of moves that were connected to the Oudou legends of past and present, as he paid homage to them by utilizing Misawa's elbow, Kawada's Stretch Plum and Mutoh's Shining Wizard. But despite being in control for several minutes and trying to work Tenryu's arms so that most of his power offense would be taking out of the game, "The Last Child Of Oudou" fell to one of the fathers of Oudou as Tenryu began with a Guh Punch and chop combo before nailing a standing Lariat, and after a failed pin attempt, but Miyamoto away with an awesome Powerbomb. Kazushi extended a hand after the bout and Tenryu returned it, sending HATAAGE to end in a respectful manner. What was not as much respectful as it was surprising was the Blue Justice and Tarzan Goto match. This bout showed to be one big ruse as Blue Justice revealed himself to be the returning Gran Naniwa, who was flanked by Kendo Kashin, while Tarzan Goto was none other then Yutaka Yoshie hiding under a cloak. It seemed weird at first as Goto was flanked by Taiyo Kea but after the reveal nobody suspected much. The match was also seemingly non-existant as it descended into a giant brawl, reminiscent of a Bruiser Brody match. Eventually both Gran Naniwa and Yutaka Yoshie got counted out after each respectively had fought the other and the men that had flanked them. This certainly left room for the main event as everyone had now been used in some form or another, having the crowd to deal with a clean slate of Kazushi Miyamoto and Genichiro Tenryu locking up.

The only tag match on the card was also somewhat unspectacular as the team of Shiro Koshinaka and Takao Omori gathered a dominant victory over Team DDT. Both Koshinaka and Omori had spoken to the press before the match and said that they did not respect the "antics" and "showman style" of neither Sensyu or Hashimoto, clearly taking a shot at the Dramatic Dream Team promotion, and promoting the Oudou style that King's Road was founded on. In the bout Sensyu and Hashimoto had to show their guts and will but eventually Sensyu fell prey to a Diving Hip Attack after Tomohiko had been flattened by a Superkick outside but depite the seemingly easy win, Koshinaka and Omori still had fought for it. The highlight for the opposing team came with a sequence of switch-arounds as Hashimoto managed smack Omori with a high kick before Sensyu came running forward with a Lariat that almost got them the victory. But it was not to be as the bigger and more experienced team scored the pinfall. Daisuke Ikeda and Yuto Aijima went for a fairly unexciting bout before that, with Daisuke Ikeda connecting with the Dai-Chan Bomber after a slip-up from Aijima where he fumbled with an armlock. And despite Aijime showing great technical presence, something that Ikeda has also done many times, the two seemed to awkward in the ring. In the opening contest Yuki Ishikawa managed to make Shota Takanishi tap out to the Ocotpus Hold but not before Shota really showed that he had the heart and talent to become a succesful star. Despite being a junior heavyweight he still managed to pay homage to the Oudou style by using vicious elbows and a lariat here and there while still maintaining a fast pace and taking down Ishikawa a few times with dropkicks. But eventually the experience got the better of the rookie, as it had done many times in the match, and Shota quickly tapped out to the Octoopus Hold.

"HATAAGE"

1. Yuki Ishikawa (9:58 > Octopus Hold) Shota Takanishi
2. Daisuke Ikeda (11:02 > Dai-Chan Bomber) Yuto Aijima
3. Shiro Koshinaka [W] & Takao Omori (11:41 > Diving Hip Attack) Riki Sensyu [L] & Tomohiko Hashimoto
4. Gran Naniwa (4:19 > Double Count Out) Yutaka Yoshie
5. Genichiro Tenryu (15:41 > Powerbomb) Kazushi Miyamoto

So this will be the style of writing for the smaller shows. When I get to the bigger shows and stuff the matches will be written out in a more detailed manner. Also, thanks to go Ganon Dun for giving more alot of the necessary information to do this diary and also for generally being a helpful chap. I hope you enjoy this show and I hope you will enjoy this diary.

JANUARY 19, 2006

~ Reporters encountered Kazushi Miyamoto, the young ace of King's Road, today leaving a cafe. They asked him about his thoughts on the promotion and how the HATAAGE event had went. Miyamoto was polie in answering, saying that it was an honor and a priviledge to have wrestled Tenryu-san in a prime state. Miyamoto said that he had gotten a whole new look on King's Road and himself after the HATAAGE event had ended, as he saw everyone was very passionate about making it work. Miyamoto was also excited over the next event, aptly named EXCITE, as he said that he was looking forward to facing another great wrestler and also a friend of Tenryu's. Miyamoto revealed that himself and Shiro Koshinaka were going to lock up in the EXCITE main event and that he would promise to give it his all, and he hoped te same from Koshinaka. Miyamoto also spoke about Osamu Kido and his arrival in King's Road. Kido would be taking care of event booking and being part of the backstage crew, even helping out with matches. Miyamoto said that he was astonished, although a nit anxious, to be around all these legendary wrestlers but it made him feel that King's Road might really become something big in the future. Finally, Miyamoto hinted that an appearance in the ring from Kido might be possible but he would say anything more ragarding the subject.

As the interview ended Kazushi Miyamoto made his farewells with the reporters, who thanked him for his time, and Kazushi also announced a few matches for the EXCITE event, excluding the already mentioned match involving himself and Shiro Koshinaka. Enither Genichiro Tenryu or Toshiaki Kawada, who was said to be involved in the project, were present on the card where King's Road will be returning to Korauken Hall after a very succesful first event, with almost a full sell-out.

FEBRUARY 11, 2006

~ A major press conference was held today, set up by Kenji Aoki, Hideki Takahashi and King's Road, to promote their second show EXCITE. Everyone actively involved in the event were present, meaning that Takao Omori, Shiro Koshinaka and Team DDT who had some fire going between them concerning Omori and Koshinaka's comments about Tomoshiko Hashimoto's and Riki Sensyu's employment with Dramatic Dream Team. Takao Omori was first to speak his mind and he made mention that he was going to defend the spirit of Oudou and Baba-san against threats from the outside, namely threats that tried to corrupt the Oudou style that he himself, Shiro Koshinaka and so many others held dear. After Omori had finished his tirade Taiyo Kea, who was one of the most talked about jumps concerning the minor exodus that had occurred in All Japan upon King's Road inception, talked about coming to King's Road and saying that he had the same feelings within him as "The Last Child Of Oudou" Kazushi Miyamoto; Kea had been brought up on the Giant Baba vision of the King's Road style and had been so honored as to both meet Baba-san in person and in private. Kea made notice that had it not been for Giant Baba he would not have stood and been where he was today. Before sitting down again Kea went over to his designated opponent, Yuto Aijima, and shook his hand in respect while the journalists and reporters were shooting away.

After Takahashi had answered a few questions about the appearance and promised involvement from Toshiaki Kawada, where he also mentioned that Genichiro Tenryu might find his way back to King's Road in the near future and announcing the third King's Road event to take place in March, the press conference was cut short as a fight slowly began brewing between Team DDT and the partnership of Omori and Koshinaka. Security was quickly on hand as Hashimoto suddenly had Omori in a vicious armbreaker while Sensyu swiftly felled Koshinaka with a Lariat. The reporters were told to quickly back away as all four men were escorted from the building as Aoki called the conference to a hurried close. Afterwards, a journalist caught up with Kendo Kashin who mentioned that his scheduled appearance was merely out of favor to Kenji Aoki and that he would be moving on to other ventures after EXCITE.

KING'S ROAD EXCITE 28/02/06

Kazushi Miyamoto was once again on the losing side of the effort but he impressed all the way again, showing that he deserved to be the ace of King's Road. Against Shiro Koshinaka Miyamoto paid homage to Giant Baba, making use of his famous Coconut Crush, which had him very close to a pinfall victory over Shiro Koshinaka. But it would be as Miyamoto made a fatal mistake, and the veteran instincts of Koshinaka had the better of him in the end. After finishing a sequence of stiff chops Miyamoto spun around, hailing the crowd, thinking that he had the bout won when Koshinaka shot out of the corner with a european uppercut. He continued in a flurry, nailing two German suplexes and then a Dragon suplex but despite the catastrophic development Miyamoto managed to kick out, in amazement to the crowd, and land a takedown lariat. But although he seemed to regain his momentum, Miyamoto eventually fell to a Death Valley Bomb after being too overzealous with a German suplex of his own. In the end though, both men shook hands as a sign of respect and Koshinaka raised Miyamoto's hand and pointed towards him, showing the respect he had for the King's Road ace. A technical encounter preceeded the main event as Yuki Ishikawa and Kendo Kashin literally locked up. A vast array of different and intricate submission maneuvers were used until it broiled down into a kicking contest. Ishikawa got the better of Kashin but his momentum did not last long as he fell prey to a Dragon screw. Kashin then initiated a flurry of quick holds, almost making Ishikawa tap to a Figure Four Leglock. Seeing as this not enough he flew himself and Ishikawa over to the corner to lock on an Avalanche Jujigatame, having the crowd suddenly rise to their feet. But through an amazing feet of strength Ishikawa, by the help of the ropes managed to lift Kashin up and slam him down hard before quickly flying against Kashin with a deadly Enzuiguri as only he could do and then wrapping Kendo up in the Octopus Hold, making him tap out. But before this Daisuke Ikeda and Yutaka Yoshie came toe-to-toe, in a contest of who could hit the hardest while also being the most swift. At least that felt true in Ikeda's case as throughout the match he did everything he could to avoid the deadly Backhand Blow of Yoshie's. Armbreakers, blocks, palm strikes, chops, everything in the arsenal was used to take Yoshie arm strength out and counter his finishing maneveur. It seemed as if the tactic worked as Ikeda had Yoshie stalled in the middle of the ring, via several elbows to the back and kicks to the head, and Daisuke went for his trademark Dai-Chan Bomber but Yoshie was suddenly up and spinning, landing his spinning version of the Backhand Blow right on Ikeda's cheek, almost knocking him out cold. This resulted in the three count for Yoshie who had his first win in King's Road.

The Oudou Pride match went as expected; the bad blood between Team DDT and Takao Omori broiled over and after fighting in and out of the ring with Tomohiko Hashimoto, Riki Sensyu decided to get involved. Throughout the bout Hashimoto and Omori had been spouting hateful comments at each other while exchinging blows and moves, and eventually Sensyu had had enough of the Dramatic Dream Team bashing and found his way out to the ring. This resulted in Omori receiving the disqualification victory but also a beatdown by Team DDT as he fell to a running Lariat from Sensyu and a then suffered an XCT from Hashimoto. Bad blood was also flowing the match preceeding the Oudou Pride encounter, although it only flew in Yuto Aijima's veins. He showed pitbull tenacity against the debuting Taiyo Kea and decided that he would not give up. But after using seemingly every move in his book, "The Hawaiin Tornado" felled Aijima with a SUN Kea Kick, disposing of his opponent. This is not to say that Kea was lucky; he had perfectly timed everything as Aijima had severely worn himself out after trying to pin Kea. And once again Shota Takanishi showed he had the heart as, just as showing he can brawl with the best, he showed that he could fly with the best. But nonetheless Gran Naniwa was in superb shape for his return, and despite Shota having a nice series of offensive moves involving a dropkick, a moonsault, another dropkick and a flying legdrop, Naniwa was able to scurry out a victory with a quick combination of a frankensteiner, a senton and then a Driver de Naniwa.

I have to admit that my Japanese wrestling education is based largely on Tajiri and Kaientai in the WWE along with the odd six-man tag match featuring AmDrag, Bison Smith, KENTA, Ibushi and a few others... So I'm not stepping into this diary with a whole lot of knowledge but I am enjoying what you have written.

The write-ups are comfortable to read, which is good but don't drag like I imagine they would if they were written blow-for-blow in a proper Puro styling. The roster cards that pop up when clicked on are handy as they giving me faces to put to the names.

I would ask you to bring in some foreign guys or something, but I get the impression this is a regional Japanese fed so I would assume there won't be any gaijins for a long time. Anyway... keep up the good work. I'll try to check in more often.

I have ventured into Puro Wrestling a couple of times and I have enjoyed it (with its various six-man tag matches and great junior heavyweight wrestling), though I can't see myself becoming a Puro Expert. Now when I checked into this, I was expecting it to be good but not excellent as it has been. You hit the nail on the head when it comes to the event hype and hit the nail twice as hard with your match reports. As FlatDoughnut said, the style is comfortable to read and it doesn't drag on as if its not written blow-to-blow. The meetings with the wrestlers outside of different places so they can do an interview is something I wait for as the first one you did with Kazushi Miyamoto was ace as it has a sense of realism.

All I can say now is that you should keep it up and I can't wait to see what you do with the big shows.

MARCH 3, 2006

~ Through the Pro Wrestling ZERO1-MAX website, the wrestling public has now learned that the King's Road promotion and Shinjiro Otani, promoter of ZERO1-MAX, has agreed on a working relationship. Kenji Aoki and Hideki Takahashi were seen visiting the ZERO1 offices yesterday and today it has become common knowledge what the meeting was about. The two companies already shared some talent both making use of Takao Omori, who is a ZERO1 regular, and Yutaka Yoshie who is a freelancer currently but working for both King's Road and ZERO1. ZERO1-MAX is known for the great Gaijin talent pool but it is not known at this time whether King's Road will make use of this or just making sure that they have secured Omori as someone they will be able to continue to use. Speaking of Omori, a picture of him and Kazushi Miyamoto shaking hands has popped up the newly opened, and flourishing, King's Road website. Otani has spoken to a few reporters regarding this situation also, and said that he is excited to be working with a promotion of King's Road status because despite only having a few shows under it's belt, it has been the center of talk in the puroresu world for two months now. This is most definetely resolve in prosperous time for KR as ZERO1-MAX has had a great start to 2006, producing some entertaining and overall enjoyable events so far, especially with their latest "ZERO6" tour.

The King's Road website also brought an anouncement regarding the upcoming third event of KR, namly the "三" show, naming the main event which will see Kazushi Miyamoto against Takao Omori. This might explain the picture between the two, showing that King's Road builds their matches on respect rather then bad blood and hate between two performers. Shota Takanishi's involvement was also announced as he is set to go against Yuto Aijima. Takanishi has shown great promise over the last two shows, showing solid skills and a good all-round game. But he seems to be going in another direction then the Junior Heavyweight state he seemed slated for first as Shota has commented about this upcoming bout on his livedoor blog, saying that he is reinventing himself with a more hard-hitting and technical approach.

MARCH 11, 2006

~ A co-promoted press conference was held today, near Tokyo Korauken Hall, as both Shinjiro Otani, Kenji Aoki, Hideki Takanishi and alot of other talents were present. Kazushi Miyamoto once again reminded the press that he held a great deal of respect for someone of Takao Omori's stature but that did not mean that he would be awe struck be his presence because Miyamoto knew that he could do just as well. Omori also had choice word to announce to the press but the major subject of his speech was not directed towards his opponent at "三" but towards Team DDT. He told them that he had found two opponents to fight them in a tag team match that would show them why nobody took either the DDT promotion or Riki Sensyu and Tomohiko Hashimoto seriously. Sensyu managed to withhold Hashimoto but both promised furious vengeance against Omori as they would stand up agains their, unknown, foes in another "OUDOU PRIDE" match. Omori only smiled at this, dropping a hint and saying that Sensyu and Hashimoto would face the biggest and the brightest that he had to offer, which left everyone wondering.

Daisuke Ikeda and Yuki Ishikawa would also exchange words as it was announced that those two would be on opposite sides of the ring at "三". Both are BattlArts veterans, and Ikeda also holds a position of power in the FUTEN promotion which is a spin-off of BattlArts. The two men warned the other to look out as their battle was going to lethal and dangerous. Taiyo Kea was also announced to go up against Gran Naniwa while Shiro Koshinaka was also noted to be in action. But his opponent was apparently kept a secret until the very end when Genichiro Tenryu suddenly showed up, unannounced, at the press conference. The press was somewhat bewildered at what to do as "Mr. Puroresu" simply walked up to the stage and then pointed at Shiro Koshinaka. He then said that he had been impressed with Miyamoto at the first show and wanted to return because of him but then announced that the final nail in the coffin for the Heisei Ishingun stable had not been hammered down yet. Therefore he had some back to fight Shiro Koshinaka. The press conference ended with yet another blast as Koshinaka dived against Tenryu while Team DDT attakced Takao Omori who, perhaps surprisingly, was helped by his opponent Kazushi Miyamoto. For the second time in a row security had to escort all six men away, to hinder a fight to break out again.

I'm quite enjoying this. I don't get to read many a diary on here because I don't have the time or the concept doesn't interest me but you've hooked me in. I like the roster you've assembled and of course the write up style is nice and easy to read. I'm looking forward to see who you bring over the course of the next 5-10 shows or so. I wish there were puro diaries on here as it's something different to get into. I don't remember ever hearing if this company but that's probably because I've only been into puro for the last three years or so and only watching either stuff from the early 90's or current product.

Tenryu versus Shiro Koshinaka? You think you might be pushing that a little far for a "regional" Japanese promotion. >_>

The third card is looking pretty slick, and I have to say I'm rather enjoying the news posts that you are throwing up as they seem to be presented in the same manner as anything that I have read from any Japanese wrestling

Taiyo Kea is a beast. Total hero.

Also, what with the "working relationship" with ZERO-1, might we see some gaijin action? *cough*Motor City Machine Guns*cough* (Y)

What sense would it make to book the MCMG in King's Road? I have faith that SRN won't go down that route, though I'd love to see other, more fitting gaijin eventually.

Great diary, anyway, that evokes fond memories of reading diaries like this on Strong Style Symphony. I'm marginally surprised that Koshinaka vs. Tenryu isn't the main event, and I kind of hope you don't fall for the same trap the King's Road people did by marginalizing their own ace by just having him lose repeatedly and never actually build up to anything.

KING'S ROAD 三 19/03/06

三 ended in somewhat confusion fashion as after a very competitive match between Kazushi Miyamoto and Takao Omori, Y2P-160kg made his second appaerance of the night to attack Miyamoto, with Omori simply looking on in laughter. The match beforehand saw a very heated battle between the two with Miyamoto eager to scrap up a victory against the former AWA World Heavyweight champion. The finish almost came along after both Miyamoto and Omori went for an Axe Bomber, a move that Omori has perfected over the years but to which Kazushi surprised and both men felled each other. But this seemingly resulted in the attack from Y2P-160kg, another ZERO1 regular. Another hotly contested contest was that between Genichiro Tenryu and Shiro Koshinaka. Tenryu had said to the press before the show that he intended to finally rid the world of all traces of Heisei Ishingun. And that he did. But not without bumps and bruises. After a grueling bout between the two hated enemies, Tenryu managed to connect with three subsequent Guh Punches, backing Koshinaka up in the corner before chopping him directly in the throat. Tenryu has earlier taken two Hip Attacks and survived so he mustered his last strength to execute the 53-Sai before taking the victory with a successful three count. As expected Daisuke Ikeda and Yuki Ishikawa was going to be a concentrated dose of punishment for both men. After over twenty minutes of kicking, slapping, punching, maiming and grinding Ikeda finally rose to the occasion and won after a Death Valley Bomb. Ishikawa had taken the lead in the early goings with a lot of excellent submission holds, trying to incapacitate the legs of Daisuke. But it was not to be as Ikeda worked through it all and managed a DVB, although both men had to be seen too by EMT’s after the match.

Taiyo Kea also impressed with another victory as he took Naniwa to the limit and after nailing Naniwa with an astonishing Avalanche Backdrop Suplex he made his victory concrete after hitting the TKO. Naniwa was seemingly off his game tonight as his offense did take much effect on the Hawaiian Tornado, perhaps because of the reason stated to the press before the bout. Naniwa had mentioned that after 三 he would be moving on to greener pastures. With his leave saw new debutees as the ZERO1 appointed mystery team was revealed as being Y2P-160kg of the P-Force Men and young blue chipper Yoshihito Sasaki. They kept the Oudou Pride intact as, despite Team DDT being able to abstract positive use of Sasaki’s greenness in the ring, the young man put Sensyu away after a German Suplex Hold while 160kg kept Sensyu to the mat outside with a Press Slam. Finally, to open the show, Yuto Aijima ended his losing ways by racking up a victory against Shota Takanishi, King’s Road first trueborn. Aijima was poised to strike a dominant victory and did so after swiftly nearly decapitating Takanishi with a Flying Lariat. But after Aijima had left the squared circle Shota seemed very aggravated and frustrated over his losing ways here in King’s Road and firstly neglected to be helped from the ring and secondly shouted at a lot of the fans on his way out.
