ECW on Sci Fi
Tuesday 20th June 2006
This week
“Crank it Up” from Brand New Sin starts us off as the 7 foot monster enters the ring to a chorus off boos after he viciously attacked the ECW Champion last week.
Big Show laughs at the reaction from the crowd and challenges any of them to do something about it, many of them motion that they would but of course Show just laughs even harder. Show says that he didn’t come over to ECW to be a fun giant, he can over to ECW to be an extreme monster and last week he started by going after the ECW Champion. He says that he will be the ECW Champion and there’s nothing that anyone can do about it. Cue
Rob Van Dam, the ECW Champion making his way out to the ring. Van Dam lays the ECW Title down on the mat and motions for Big Show to try and take it from him but before Show can move
Paul Heyman comes running out to separate both men. Heyman says that they can forget about a one on one match tonight because they are both already booked in a six man main event. Heyman suggests that they go away and prepare for their match and he announces that two former ECW cruiserweights make their return tonight to the land of extreme and they will be facing each other in singles action right about ... now!

First out is the
‘Insane Luchadore’ Super Crazy and he makes his way to the ring. His opponent for this evening is a surprise, purely because they’ve been tag team partners for the past few months, to the ring comes
Psicosis. As you can expect, both men use aerial offence for much of the match and Psicosis gets the victory after a legdrop from the top rope. After the match, Crazy is helped to his feet by Psicosis but instead of shaking hands, Psichosis levels his former partner with a sharp right hand and stands over him as ECW goes to its first break.

When ECW returns
“The Test That Stumped Them All” from Dream Theater plays and you guessed it,
Test makes his entrance in ECW for the first time. But he’s not come alone, with him is a brunette that we haven’t seen before, they both get in the ring and she grabs the microphone from ringside. The woman immediately introduces herself simply as
Sherry and announces that Test is her new client; she says that he is in ECW to be champion and will destroy anyone who gets in his way. She then puts out an open challenge for right now to anyone in ECW to come out and face Test.

Test stands in the middle of the ring to find out who is going to
“take the test”, and the answer quickly comes out to the ring in the form of
Balls Mahoney, he slides into the ring and Test quickly hammers away at him. Test dominates Balls for most of the match as Sherry shouts out encouragement from the outside. Test puts Balls out of his misery with the testdrive. After the match Sherry climbs into the ring and raises her clients hand as we go to our second break.

After the commercial,
Justin Credible is already standing in the middle of the ring as the remix of
“Medal” plays and
Kurt Angle makes his way down to the squared circle. Angle gets in the ring and Credible tries to gain the advantage but instead he gets suplexed from one corner to the next, Kurt dominates Justin with hard right hands and even more suplexes. Angle pulls his straps down and locks on the ankle lock to which Justin Credible taps out almost immediately. Angle doesn’t celebrate his victory, he just slides out of the ring and walks to the back, his job done.

When Kurt Angle disappears through the curtain, a video is played, this one shows images of alcohol, tobacco and drugs. We hear a male voice being played over the video. The man puts down drinking, smoking and drug taking, saying that wrestling is his drug of choice and that he is coming to ECW to make an example of these bad habits. We then see the man in question and he introduces himself as
CM Punk and he says that he doesn’t need drugs to further his career, because he is straight edge.

After the final break, a man is shown inside the ring, with jet black hair and a black full length coat. He is carrying a singapore cane and says that he is
The Predator. He says that
The Sandman likes to cane people and so does he, and he goes on to call out Sandman who wastes no time in making an appearance. Predator doesn’t move a muscle, he stands in the ring and watches Sandman make his usual entrance through the crowd. Both men face off with their singapore canes and Sandman offers Predator the first shot, but when Predator hits him, Sandman just looks at him with a sick smile and then unleashes with a fury of cane shots that send Predator out of the ring and out of ECW.

Up next is the ECW main event,
Danny Doring & Roadkill come out first before being joined by
Big Show. Their opponents then make their way to the ring with
Tommy Dreamer being first, closely followed by
Sabu and then the ECW Champion,
Rob Van Dam. The match revolves around Van Dam trying to get involved while Big Show dissects Sabu and Dreamer. Eventually RVD gets his hands on Show but Doring and Roadkill distract him for long enough to allow Big Show to chokeslam the champion and get the pinfall. After the bell rings, Big Show gets the ECW Championship and raises it above his head while Van Dam is still out of the canvas as the show goes off the air.
