Oddly enough, I expected some kind of "How much wood would Edward Woodward...etc." tongue twister out of this.

I was strangely saddened by his death despite the fact that has career has never really impacted personally on my life's enjoyment. (No, I've never watched the Wicker Man but my dad has always said it was pretty good...)

My Dad always used to tell me that joke, since before I can remember. I don't think at any point I thought to say "Dad, I'm six, how do you expect me to know who Edward Woodward is?".

Strangely I ended up watching Hot Fuzz last night which had an elderly Edward Woodward in it. Touching. :crying:
