Is anyone on here on (or used to fairly recently) Tesco Mobile? Basically, I had a text this morning if I wanted to switch to a "top up £15 a month and we'll triple it" (or double it for £10 a month) thing.

From what I understand by looking at the website, it seems like I can say add £10 tomorrow (22nd of Nov), and I'll then get £10 free credit until the 21st of Dec. I think it's safe to presume that if I don't use £5 of the free credit by then, it'll be gone, but I presume I'll keep the £10 (or however much I've eaten into) at the end of December? Also, from what I gather, this doesn't mean that I HAVE to top-up £10+ each month just to be able to use my phone, it means that for the free airtime I have to top-up each month.

Any help would be appreciated, as this is tempting, but I don't want to sign up if I have to fork out £10 a month, each month as I don't really use my phone that much (although I am using about £10 a month at the moment). I may also actually use the internet Facebook mobile then if I do go for it. :shifty:

Here is the website and whatnot: http://www.tesco.com...nt.aspx?page=26

You will keep the tenner you're topping up, yeah. It's a really good deal, and I was on it until I moved onto contract.

Since it's been brought up, are you supposed to be able to top these up anywhere with a Paypoint or can you only do it in a Tesco store? Because I used to work for Woolies and now work for WH Smith and people keep handing them to me like we're supposed to be able to top them up and neither have never done. I don't want to come across as a cock by saying "um, you can actually only top up Tesco Mobile in... Tesco" if that's not the case. :P

EDIT: And nice graphic on that site: "Unlimited calls and texts, £30 a month. Yes we did say unlimited. Subject to a fair use limit of £500."

Spoke to Baddar on MSN who confirmed it whatever for me, and went for it about 9/10 last night, and got the confirmation text earlier today. Now to top-up, still got £2 left. <_<

As far as I'm aware there are other places that do top-up Tesco phones, just where I don't know. I know you can do it from HSBC cash-points and possibly others too, but as for stores I don't know.

Do you have to top up £10 every month to get it doubled? Or is it doubled even if you top up two months later?

Say on average I use £10 a month, and I topped up tomorrow. I would get my £10 I paid for, but Tesco would add another £10 on top which is only valid for the next month. So say I use all that up in the month, for the end of December, I'd still have my £10 I originally paid for, which will then run out at the end of January. I top up in January, and get the free £10 again etc.

You could top-up each month, but then I'd have £20 on my phone at the end of December, plus another set of £10 free credit from that new top-up. Then at the end of January £30 on my phone and another batch of £10 free etc.

I like what I have at Orange. If I top up £10 i get 300 free texts and free internet. that's usually enough to see me through to the next month.
