I had said in the New Year's Resolutions thread that I wanted to try this where you watch one movie a day for the whole year. Well as usual I forgot and even though I have watched movies this year I wont be counting them and will be starting now. Can I make up the 20 movies I'm already behind? We shall see! Anyone else who wants to do this too feel free to use this thread to keep track.

I think I will make it, I usually watch one or two movies when I get home from work unless I go out with friends. I also watch movies during night shifts. I'm already ahead of shedule and I should be ashamed. Here's what I've seen so far this year:

10. Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992)

11. The Screaming Skull (1958)

I'll try and do this again, but unlike last year, I'm already behind as well. Went about 8 days without watching a film when our uni course was busy doing essays, script reports and pitching for films. I recon I'll be able to make it up, but not sure if I'll hit 365 -- hit about 300 last year. My problem can be that when I'm in uni from like 10 - 7 doing film stuff, it's not relaxing to go home and watch a film, and sometimes it's nice to just do something completely unrelated to film.

1. This is Spinal Tap

2. American Hustle

3. 12 Years A Slave

4. The Mummy

5. The Angels' Share

6. La Haine

7. The Apartment

8. Nosferatu

9. Wolf of Wall Street

10. Ace in the Hole

11. Goldmember

12. The Idiots

13. Italian for Beginners

Weirdly, I've re-watched 3 films already this year (The Mummy, La Haine, The Apartment) whereas I think I re-watched about 5 films over the whole of last year.

Yeah, I feel similar to Liam. I do struggle to sit around for two hours and watch a film. The only film I've watched this year is In The Loop, which I've seen countless times before. I only put it on for something to get me to sleep.

My problem as well is the nature of the films I've got. Too many epics, too many foriegn films, too much hard work on a tired mind.
