Missed a few films this year that I'd have liked to have seen, especially The Selfish Giant. Only big film I didn't see was Captain Phillips, but I missed a few of the Oscar nominated docs & foreign language films too.

Okay, so, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is a joint South Africa/UK production - in SA it was released in 2013 and UK in 2014 - which is it eligible for?

Les Mis was last year, too.

Are we counting premiers that are separate to their actual release? Les Mis's premier was 5 Dec 12, but its actual release wasn't until 11 January 2013.
