  1. Actually, there were safeties in 3 straight. Pats/Giants, Ravens/49ers and Broncos/Seahawks all had a safety. That would have been 4 straight.
  2. Amazing game. Awesome comeback. Poor Chiefs though. That was heartbreaking.
  3. About the game tonight, I've never seen such a huge momentum swing in a game of that magnitude with the offensive powerhouses involved, especially given the team up 24 points on the receiving end of the original momentum is quite possibly the best offensive group ever. The numbers Peyton Manning and the Bronco's team have put up this year are legendary and I doubt they will fall under the top 5 scoring teams (most points in the regular season) of all-time before the season is done. I just don't see how that team blows a 24 point lead when they are facing a crippled defense that lost their 2 best players for the season. That game shouldn't have gone to over-time.
  4. I've been watching the show every week with my room mate and we went to watch the show this week and found out they took a break and honestly, I wasn't disappointed. The show isn't hooking me. I will probably continue to watch to finish the season but just nothing feels important. It's hard to have a TV show in an active universe where bigger shit happens and make it feel like your watching anything of consequence.
  5. Confession: I liked the Dungeon of Doom

  6. One thing console games had over PC gaming is the ease of renting, borrowing, used games and bringing a game over a friends house to play. Now with these new consoles, it's useless. Yup, no thanks. I can do everything these consoles can do with my computer and I don't have to pay a dime to play games online.
  7. So the Patriots apparently offered Wes Welker more money than Denver offered (before Free Agency), but he turned it down thinking he could get a better deal. Denver offered their deal (which was well below the deal Patriots offered him) and Wes went to the Pats to match it, but the Patriots already considered Welker gone and agreed to sign Danny Amendola so they no longer were interested in paying Welker the money Denver was willing to pay him (thus why the report came out that Patriots offered Welker a weak deal). Bob Kraft said yesterday that if Welker called the Patriots a day earlier, he would be re-signed now and he would have never went to Denver. So it all came down to timing and the Patriots weren't stiffing him out of a deal he deserved.
  8. Patriots are thinking long-term and Broncos are thinking short-term. Smart moves by both teams (given their situations). Tom Brady may be disappointed but he'll get over it. Bellichick and management did what they thought what was best for the team. Welker did what he thought was best for him. Brady signed the contract knowing that this was a possibility (I doubt they would have told him otherwise if they were willing to let Welker walk for so little).
  9. Heard about this today. I was just thinking "I don't know of any more games I need to buy anytime soon" but I have to buy this. I've been waiting for this for like 10 years. There has never been a Real Time Strategy I enjoyed more than this one. Not even close.
  10. Tom Brady just signed a 3-year extension (he was already signed for 2 more years) with the New England Patriots that saves them $15 million in cap room over the next 2 years and nearly guarantees (outside of a trade or other shenanigans) he will be retiring with the Patriots. The amount saved for the 2013 season is the exact same amount Wes Welker's rumored deal is that was reported earlier today (which is for 5 years), leading some to speculate that Brady made the deal so that Welker would get his money without it adding 1 cent to the cap hit. Here is how the deal is structured...
  11. Hopefully, in this movie, Han Solo shoots everything first. Everything.
  12. I have no interest in the expanded stuff right now unless it's years before (Knight of the Old Republic, as an example). Yoda, Han, Chewbacca or Boba Fett prequel stuff does not sound interesting to me. I'm really excited for Episode 7, especially if they bring back Han, Chewie, Luke, Leia, The Falcon, Lando, R2-D2 and C3-PO. I'd think they have to. Han probably would need to be written out in Episode 7, but I'd love to see him have a big role in the film. Chewie can stick around (because, not to discount Peter Mayhew, anyone can play him), as can The Falcon (though for Han to go down in the ship, it would be fitting). Lando is another character that can be written off (depending on Billy Dee Williams willingness to spend act 6-8 years from now). R2-D2 is another one (not to discount Kenny Baker) that can stick around as long as they feel his character is important. C3-PO is a tough one because Anthony Daniels is in his late 60's. He certainly can just do dialogue and let somebody else don the suit, but it's really up in the air as to whether he could do the whole trilogy. Leia could have a side role in the trilogy but Mark Hammil's involvement could range from small to large depending on what they want to do. Obviously there will be plenty of new characters but I think there is plenty of opportunity to bring back all the main stars of the original trilogy in some fashion. It would do a good job of bridging the movies together.
  13. I'll give him an A for effort. Good man.
  14. Winning the conference championship game is a huge achievement. The Superbowl is always better to win obviously but just making it there is amazing for any team. I'd rather be a fan of the early 90's Buffalo Bills than the The Lions or any of the several other teams that haven't made it once in many years.
