  1. I don't know if this is the right thread for this question, but it seemed like it. Also, this question may have been answered somewher already, so if it is, feel free to point it out to me. Should the stats in EWR reflect the worker's skill compared to current workers or on an all-time scope? I mean, let's think of Bruiser Brody, who usually gets 100 in brawling. Even though he isn't active anymore (for obvious reasons), should all brawling stats, even current ones, be compared to his prime, ie. if someone in a current setting has 100 brawling, it'd mean they're as good as Brody? Or, should the stat be compared to contemporaries only, so that the best brawler at a given time should have 100, even though they wouldn't be as good as Brody? I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but it's just something I've been thinking about a lot since getting back into EWR.
  2. Hi! I just got back into EWR after years of inactivity. Is there a place to download an up-to-date picture pack? A comprehensive pic pack would be great, but at least WWE, TNA and ROH would be super. Thanks in advance!
  3. Thank you, that's awesome. But it seems it's all for nothing, as my Windows 7 isn't in English and I can't change the language either. So I won't be able to play. Thanks anyway!
  4. Hi. I just got back to EWR after years, and I'm in need of a comprehensive, up-to-date picture pack. Should have recent pics of at least WWE and TNA, but others would be nice, too. Is there a whole pic pack floating around somewhere, or could someone maybe upload one? I'd be most thankful. If there's a topic about this somewhere, then I'm sorry, I must've missed it.
  5. Here's Nerve End, an up-and-coming metal band from Finland. They sound like a mix between Devin Townsend, Meshuggah and Fear Factory. So it's a sort of technical, industrial-tinged prog-metal. Their new EP 'Axis', which you can download from their site for free, is pretty fantastic for a homemade record. The production is better than many professionally produced albums. Check them out!
  6. Yeah, Moonsorrow is awesome. They really define the word 'epic'. One of the finest bands from my country! Anybody excited about the upcoming Metallica/Lou Reed collaborative album? Pretty interesting to hear what sort of stuff they've recorded...
  7. Finland's entry, Paradise Oskar, with his song "Da Da Dam". Not as awful as some of our previous entries.
  8. Come on, "Twilight" had one guy from Bodom on one track, is that so unbearable?
  9. Have you heard the acoustic version of that song that they played at the Bridgeport School benefit concert? It's pretty nifty. They also did a killer version of "Disposable Heroes" there.
  10. Just listening to Metallica's much-derided St. Anger album for the first time in years. You know, it's not actually that bad. Sure, the production is weird, especially the drums, but many of the songs are really rocking. For example, "Frantic" is just an awesome, straight-forward metal tune, and as a bass player I just love the bass lines on "Some Kind Of Monster". Other songs I like include "Dirty Window", "My World" and "Sweet Amber". While far from perfect, I think St. Anger deserves much more respect than it gets.
  11. So I made a quick little poll for the upcoming Strikeforce Heavyweight GP. It's just for fun, answer if you feel like it! The reason it's a third-party poll is because I'm running the same poll on several sites. Who will win the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix?
  12. I need your help. A local band I know, Bloodred Hourglass, are in a contest where the winner gets a worldwide record deal. There's 12 bands in the semifinal voting stage, and the four top vote getters go in the finals, where they will be judged by a panel of experts. BRHG need all the votes they can get, as they're not in the top 4 right now. The voting ends on Dec 31st, so there's still time. You can only vote once per day, and you have to confirm the vote from an email they send to the address you need to enter. There's no spam, and you can unsubscribe the newsletter they send right away. I just wish to get as many votes as possible from you to Bloodred Hourglass. The voting happens here. Remember to vote for Bloodred Hourglass, and remember to confirm your vote by clicking on the link in the email you get from Century Media. Thanks!
  13. Moreover, Tuska has also announced KILLING JOKE and EXODUS!!!! Awesome-tastic.
  14. Finland's Sauna Open Air festival has announced four big names for next summer: Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Saxon and Helloween. I seriously need to be there.
