  1. Am playing the third Professor Layton game (the Lost Future). The first two games are fairly similar in tone/scope, i.e. "wandering around these dozy little towns and there's a big secret in the building at the back that we'll get to at some point". The third game... Well, it was right at the point where you build a machine gun out of casino slot machines and start blasting gangsters with high-velocity coins that I realised how utterly bonkers it was. Of this, I approve.
  2. Am just imagining the Cup semi final this weekend reaching penalties (doubt it) and then both Jackson and Madueke miss theirs.
  3. What can I say, our ability to manifest stupid drama is just irresistible.
  4. Utterly childish from the Chelsea players fighting over who takes the pen. Sure it's good that they're 'passionate' or whatever, but whether it's the coach pre-game or the captain on the pitch, someone needs to assert order. P.S. lol another Palmer goal
  5. 1. Persona 3 Reload* 2. Unicorn Overlord* 3. Final Fantasy XVI 4. Sonic CD (Sonic Origins*) 5. Professor Layton and Pandora's Box (* = also platinumed) Having found my old 3DS, I completed this little DS game over the weekend. It served as a means to divert me when I nearly dropped £40 on the Apollo Justice trilogy (which I will get at some point). I completed the first Layton game (Curious Village) several years ago, so moved on to the second.
  6. Just learned that Everton haven't won a league game at Stamford Bridge since 1994, so strapping myself in for a Pochettino disasterclass this evening.
  7. Things I found today: * My old 3DS ✔️ * Its charger cable ✔️ * The game cartridge I wanted to play ❌ * My old PSP ✔️ * Its charger cable ❌ * The game cartridge I wanted to play ❌ So close, yet so far...
  8. I too miss something about the tactical implications of away goals. The thrill of sneaking an away goal in the first leg, the more nuanced implications of any scoreline in the second leg, and so on. But then I guess I also have a higher tolerance for so-called 'defensive football' than seems to be the norm.
  9. At least they'll get three back next week against Chelsea.
  10. 1. Persona 3 Reload* 2. Unicorn Overlord* 3. Final Fantasy XVI 4. Sonic CD (Sonic Origins*) (* = also platinumed) lol, two in one day. Bit of a weird one this. Despite being a huge Sonic nut in the 16 bit era, I never owned/played Sonic CD due to my parents wisely not wasting their money on a Mega CD. I occasionally picked up the game via emulation in the decades since, but given how little love I had for the experience (Sonic CD's level design is trash, fight me), I never actually bothered to complete the damn thing. Until today, via Sonic Origins, which I also platinumed, so hooray. (P.S. do not buy Sonic Origins, the ports are deeply flawed)
  11. I hope Casadei has an appearances clause in his contract that gives these three minute cameos of depression and failure some value to him, otherwise it's very unfair for Chelsea to involve him in this suffering for no real reason.
  12. This is an insult to all those hours Todd Boehly spent scrolling through Arsenal transfer rumour tweets.
  13. If Chelsea replaced their manager with some kind of Random Number Generator, I'm not sure it would necessarily produce worse results.
  14. The predictability with which Chelsea blow leads, even against the worst team in the league 😂
