How the conversation went with the Padres GM when he finds out he's being offered to a team that hasn't been to the World Series since 1961:
  7. As much as I despise the QB-pushing prick, I agree.
  8. Cincy has basically been the ultimate "small window" team in the salary cap era. Load up with these elite teams for 2-3 seasons and then mismanage their way into wasting the prime of their players instead of being able to retool. Happened with the Palmer-era, the Dalton-era, and appears history is beginning to repeat again. Meanwhile, they're in a division with two teams that historically have incredibly short nadirs with very long windows.
  9. Higgins unofficially has been asking for a trade since January. He didn't want to be franchise tagged. He's going to put money over trying to win a Superbowl. He wants WR1 money & wants to be their WR1 when Chase is better than him. Cincy has still done the man dirty by not even trying to enter contract talks with him in the past year. Hendrickson is the often seen "I want to keep getting paid $15+ million a year even though I turn 30 this season even though most teams don't want to pay top dollar for a defensive lineman at that age" scenario. I still think overall the Bengals are going to quickly fall apart from being a team that is a legitimate contender because they are not a very well run franchise, and haven't been for pretty much my entire life.
  10. Can't wait to listen to the battle between United and Everton fans as to who ended our title challenge for the next 6 weeks
  11. Bengals dealing with a two-fer!
  12. Multiple things can be true at once
  13. Amazing night, a thoroughly deserved win. To a man the Everton players wanted it more. When the second went in, I knew we'd win. Liverpool just didn't look at it - there aren't excuses for that, not that I'm surprised to see the usual in here about fitness or tiredness. Van Dijk was absolutely rinsed all night long by Calvert-Lewin, and Nunez and Salah were very wasteful up front. It doesn't get much sweeter than winning the derby, to essentially secure safety, and end Liverpool's title challenge in the same breath.
  14. I don't think Salah is fully fit tbh I don't think Nunez helping him either. Whereas a few months ago they seemed like a great partnership. Still, this team wasn't expected to be where it is after having a terrible season last year. I had thought maybe the season might go down to the last day with three teams in it but I doubt that'll happen now. Liverpool have just punched themselves out.
  15. The team that not only played better but wanted it more won. Fair play. Painfully limping towards the end of Klopp's reign. Fulham must be like how the fuck did they beat us given our performances since March See, I thought that FA Cup game was after 2010 the one ITV missed the goal so was shocked it was actually longer than it was. Turns out it was 19th placed Liverpool under Woy that day who then went on to say it was our best performance of the season
  16. First derby win at Goodison since 2010. Absolutely buzzing.
  17. Wonder what tonight's excuse will be.
  18. I don’t think you can blame these Nunez and Salah performances on tiredness. They’ve just been extremely poor. In the run in you expect top players to step up and Salah looks like he knows he’s off at the end of the season. Absolutely terrible.
  19. I saw Civil War today. I thought it was a great movie. Very tense film, and the second half of the movie becomes very intense towards the end. I would definitely recommend it.
  20. Liverpool just look tired. Players peaked a month early or others just aren't fit. nice for Everton to win something once in a while I suppose
  21. It blew my mind when I started seeing a fair amount of people calling for him to be sacked. It's insane! By all means he deserves criticism too because he has gotten his starting XIs and especially substitutions wrong a lot these past 6 weeks, but to say he should be sacked is crazy person talk. We've been shit, but we're still 3rd!
  22. The only person you could sack him for that would have any impact on this season would be Pep.
  23. Naw, he's still in Saudi Arabia, would be too difficult to work out. Woy is available though!!
  24. Give it to Gerrard to the end of the season.
  25. The deranged thing is that there are people who genuinely think we should sack him right now!
  26. Give it to Spearing til the end of the season. Fuck off VAR, what's Will Hughes doing with his arm other than blatantly impeding Longstaff.
