  1. Regarding the above theory/bookish/tv show spoilering.
  2. So, I'm beginning to think the seasonal lumping people together theme is getting more and more arbitrary as we go. I'm hoping for some strong characters to come out of it at least, but truthfully the number of missionaries scares me slightly.
  3. I personally feel there has to be some personal responsibility in it. I mean Keith SHOULD have known the risk. You've got a game bot sitting there repeatedly saying "We're fine going to rocks and if you vote against us you'll go home." two idols are played and there's a tie. You know that if you go to rocks you're eliminated. Saying okay to that? Keith gets what he deserves 9 out of 10 times. I agree it's not fair. But when multiple idols are in play these are the situations we come to, and forcing two people that should be immune before a final 4 to go to fire because Keith doesn't have a sense of self-preservation would be equally unfair. I get your point and can actually see you being correct on it. But my personal perception is altered by a guy almost willingly committing game suicide because he doesn't want to change his vote.
  4. Keith wasn't immune. Three people were. There was tie. And a revote, during which Keith or anyone else could've changed their vote. Knowing that it was going to rocks (maybe knowing, he might have been confused) Keith said 'Let's do it.' That right there going by the established rules should've made Tasha and Kimmie immune and sent Keith home. Instead given the oddness of the situation they explain what's going to happen and give him or anyone else a third chance to change his vote and save his life. He still almost quit. It's not a fair situation, but it's final 6, forcing kimmi and tasha to go to fire when Keith twice made a clear decision that would send him home at a different tribal? Wouldn't be the correct way to handle it either.
  5. When I was small my father had gotten a brand new video camera, and spent nearly every waking moment that he was around the family playing with it. Even when he was busy doing other things, he'd just put the camera down and let it film the back of his head as he made toast. When our houses burned in 97, we were asleep, we escaped unharmed but unable to grab our possessions, each of us in various states of undress. My dad? Salvaged only his wallet, and with the help of my brother, 4 large cardboard boxes full of vhs tapes he'd shot through my childhood. My first musical memories (as caught on film.) occurred on a road trip to Wyoming. Old Rivers - Walter Brennan. Mr. Custer - Larry Verne. Little Rosa - Red Sovine. Before the Next Tear Drop Falls - Freddy Fender. Save the Last Dance for Me - The Drifters. Bed of Roses - The Statler Brothers. and I'm still not certain how he made the drive time play list, but I'm so happy he did. Pusherman - Curtis Mayfield. When I was 9 I found a Dr. Hook cassette tape on the floor of my school bus, and Queen of the Silver Dollar became my sound track for many many years.
  6. A strange suggestion perhaps. I find something oddly sinister about this ad, I saw it for the first time yesterday and it made me feel the same kind of creeping corporate dread I feel when I watch the truth ads.
  7. Mixology. fantastic show.
  8. The Tommy Mickens and Maxine Fortenberry show would have entertained me thoroughly.
  9. Not a flattering picture. He looks like a hobo that happens to be a physical fitness enthusiast. Fur ruffles just suit that man. .
  10. Honestly "No fair!" "Oh, alright. You win." would be an amazing way to handle death matches.
  11. He could be just hoping that Spencer doesn't win immunity at this point, but I can' help but feel it was a mistake. Because if Spence wins just one more time, Tony's done. At final four, Kass and Woo have no reason not to vote for him and test his idol claim., and with Spencer guaranteed at final 3? Who wants Tony to be the third there? Trish would be his only protection at a final four with a safe Spencer, and serve as a buffer to make certain that they're wouldn't be any slick last second decisions even if Kass or Woo pulled out an immunity win. Voting out Trish shows either great confidence in his allies, a gamble on Spencer's chances of winning, or just out and out fear of Trish. And I don't see the reason for the fear. Sarah, Jefra, and maybe LJ (maybe, but doubt it) are the odds on favorite votes for Trish over Tony. Trish isn't Natalie White, and Tony isn't a Hantz. Morgan will vote in a way that makes her look good on television, so solid money would be for her making fun of Trish and Kass because she's a vile character and not an actual person. Jeremiah is a coin flip. Tasha votes for who she thinks played the best game, and in a final 3 with Tony, Trish, and Kass/Woo? She's voting Tony. Woo I think would be bummed, but good hearted enough to vote for Tony. Spencer votes Tony all day long. What has Trish done on the island to appear as any kind of threat to the players? We've seen her big moves of taking out Cliff, bringing in Kass who was planning on flipping anyway, and standing by while Tony took out his own alliance and telling everyone to maintain loyalty. But has anyone playing the game seen her do anything other than yelling at people and being repeatedly blindsided by her partner? Trish is a threat if people like her or really hate Tony. Otherwise she's one of many older white women that thought they'd beat their Russell by doing nothing of note and standing next to him. She's nowhere near the level of guaranteed win that Spencer is if he makes final three, and I can't figure out why Tony would see losing the protection she offers at final 4 an acceptable loss, to mitigate a slight spite vote threat.
  12. I have given up on trying to understand this move. Because I just can't comprehend...
  13. Kass explained her move rather well in her confessionals, and really summed up her entire game. She wants to be the one that decides how things go. She wants to have the big moves and play the exciting game. She's a fringe at best member of the alliance, but she's the one that blows up because Tony turns on Jefra? Nonsense. It's jealousy. The same reason she originally flipped. She didn't feel special. Tonight was the only chance to send Tony home before final 4, and that shot rested solely on getting him to play his after the votes idol and burn the other one to save trish and send someone home. Either way it was a busted plan, because Tony was more than willing to hang onto his idol and let Trish dangle if they had split the votes. Tony makes final four now, and probably wins. There's no way around it unless someone hits him with a rock.
  14. Bigger threats than Tash? I don't think so. She can beat anyone standing in the game. She doesn't need an idealized final three, because she's a top tier player and only Spencer really has any shot of shutting down her argument and taking credit for her moves. If someone on that Island believes for a second there's a bigger threat than Tash? they're dumb. If I'm Tony and Tash isn't out by 6? I'm carrying Woo to 4 on a stretcher just on the off chance there's a martial arts challenge and he can beat her. Woo is a nice enough guy, but everybody Tony blind sided? He couldn't have touched without Woo. Tony can weaponize that, and Woo can't. He wins or does well in front of a FTC only due to personal animosity. Tony even has a shot with Spencer if all hell breaks loose, and it comes down to a final four where he or tash has to go. Because Tony can quite honestly argue that Spencer tried to play my game, and failed. I played around him, and he was a pawn. He's only here, because everyone else was a bigger threat. Which is an argument that I can't imagine Spencer seeing coming, or dealing with gracefully. Of course that situation wont happen if anyone's smart.. But Tash should be gone the second she doesn't win immunity.
  15. The sad bit is, her mom continues the Hantz tradition of playing the game better than someone actually playing the game.
  16. krone he has been in i believe all but one (maybe two) episodes this season and was in the recap, he's had more screen time than Stannis.
  17. I love that Spencer only gets to be the bad guy he came into this game wanting to be, in his votes and confessionals. Tony needing to let the audience and everyone playing know that he wasn't really scared that his name was going on to come up, and I KNEW you guys were going to suck, and oh this idol I was about to play, is a total fake, lawl, just makes my head hurt with it's transparency.
  18. Cop Lady was going to destroy Tony either way, she clearly invests a lot of emotion and faith into her identity as a cop, and expects others to do the same. Tony swore to her on his badge, and then behaved in a way that made her feel like it was bullshit. I don't think she was going to forgive that. Tony is thinking of Post Russell Hantz Survivor. He's playing to his immediate threats and at the moment paranoia. He knows the game to a degree, and knows how to be charming and likeable, and can manipulate with the best of them, but he doesn't understand the benefit of being patient and keeping a cool head, as shown by his confrontation of Spencer and Jeremiah. Demanding essentially that they say they're sorry for voting him. But in fairness to Tony, his end game final 3 wouldn't include LJ or Woo, I mean who would volunteer to sit next to either of them? He had to cut LJ loose sooner or later, and while a lot of people like to say that you don't flip this early! What they're really saying, is you should wait until you don't have the opportunity to flip, unless it directly benefits me to allow you to do so. His best bet now is pulling in Trish and Kass as his final 3. Because Trish gets maybe two votes, without clear spite, Kass gets none. He's kept Woo close, and made him think that taking out LJ was a move that saved his ass, when it comes time to burn him, Tony wont be the only one to bare the responsibility, because he'll be a threat, and Woo is a laid back dude that can probably appreciate that. Technically he played it correctly, and still has the numbers on paper if you don't account for Chaos Kass and idol shenanigans. His biggest obvious mistake is giving Spencer time, but if he waited he may not have had the chance to split the votes.
  19. It's great that Tony's moves have been formed thus far with "Hey. This person wants you out." "Okay. Let's vote them out." *person gets voted out* I love this show.
  20. Anyone that cheers when a member of their tribe quits deserves to lose. It's like throwing a challenge. It's not smart to be happy about it. Tony especially should've tried his best to keep Lindsey in the game. Trish is making moves despite probably be an ultimately ineffectual player, and with LJ present I have to believe Tony's game is at risk. I think he panicked with the Cliff vote, and didn't consider how it would impact him long term. Lindsey's hatred of Trish would've been a useful buffer if things didn't work out to his advantage. He has either a fall back alliance with her and Wu, or more likely, someone Trish would be more willing to vote out than him. I think Lindsey quitting was a case of writing on the wall and not wanting to sit through Trish being odious in her general direction until whenever they lost. It's disrespectful to the game, and I hate it, but there's very few people that handle the post tribal fireside gloat very well, so I can't really judge her for being over it. But I do think some assurances from Tony would've given her hope and made her viable pawn. Could've been useful since Cops R Us may or may not be available to him in the future. They tried to be slick with the Alexis vote, and actually this season has been pretty good about audience blindsides, but I saw it coming. Jeff asks the question "Hey, Alexis, why are you smiling that two people from the other tribe are gone?" And maybe she was trying to be nice and not throw salt in the wounds by saying "I'm glad they're dead, and hope they burn in hell." but she answers in probably the worst way possible. I'm glad my former tribe, those two of which I'm well connected with, are safe. Behind her Spencer IMMEDIATELY turns and nods to Sarah, and then turns back smiling when Jeff asks him the same question. I'm sure there were other considerations, but throughout the episode I couldn't help but think that handing people that want to kill you a weapon that big was going to turn out badly.
  21. the anal probe took me 13 tries and switching to casual. eventually I had to set my controller down and repeatedly mash a with my index finger. wasn't till after I beat it and had to deal with other qtes that I realized I could just unplug my controller.... for some reason the keyboard works real well when dilating. I was not prepared for some of the grossness later on because I had did my best to avoid those particular episodes, but the abortion mini-games themselves aren't over the top as far as content. Though some fetal enthusiasts may find offensive things within the game. Canadians have the best health care. The magic girl bit? I loved with all my heart, and I'm hoping youtube has a clip of that I can loop forever. Good game, though a bit short, and a brief glance at the achievements doesn't reveal anything worth playing it again to catch what I missed... Though I will.. So I can be a Jew. Overall probably the finest South Park game that will ever exist, if not all encompassing.
  22. Really that beauty tribe... I was screaming at the screen when Alexis suggested split and gave Jeremiah his chance to vote her out. Thankfully in the distance LJ approaches with the idol in his pocket and enough since that a split vote is never a good idea, surely he'll.... agree. Damn. I'm not sure why Jeremiah didn't pull the trigger, but I'm pretty sure it cost him prize money. Jefra isn't humorous in all the right wrong ways enough to be Kat so I can see her grating on me quickly, but I do appreciate her point blank asking Jeremiah if he's in a secret alliance he didn't tell her about and making him crumble right there before he could pitch her. I think Morgan made the wrong play trying to force a barely comprehending girl to vote out her apparent bestie, especially when she raises the idea of voting out LJ. Sure he's carried them on the puzzle portion thus far, but with a redistribution in the not too distant future and the brains likely continued suck? Why not pull a Sandra and take out the sure thing? Brice would've still gone home, yeah, but Jefra was going to be the key number, and if she's not ready to take out Alexis, you don't take her out. On the brawn side, I know it's probably just editing, but everything turning up Aces for Tony seems weird. I think I have to enjoy him while he lasts, because everything he says becoming a hashtag has to be setting him up for a downfall right?
  23. Matthew working in alright alright alright makes me happy and at the same time upset that more heavy hitting actors don't pause their acceptance speeches to throw in lines from the genesis of their careers. He earned this one.
