  1. Is there a way to play MGS4 on a PS4? I had a 360 and never got to play it.

    WWE 2K19

GAME has this on sale for £24.99. Worth getting?
  3. Jon Favreau has released some details of his new Star Wars TV show:
  4. It's only ten minutes from my house, so I insist we all go.
  5. That's the greatest thing I've ever heard.
  6. Finally got Hartlepool into the Premier League in my 10th season. We had the lowest budget and attendance in the Championship, and our turnover each year is only 15m, with a 9m a year loss, so that 97m of TV money is going to be lovely. Wage budget immediately tripled, although it's still on the low end. Long season ahead!
  7. While I have a lot of time for the produced, atmospheric version on the album, I think this outtake is far superior:
  8. Well, everyone else seems to be in agreement that she was the problem. The only person who disputes that is her.
  9. I admit I'm influenced by how awful Aunt Viv 1 is in real life.
  10. Am I the only one that really hated The Shape of Water? I can't even say why, in all honesty; I just thought it was horrendous. It looks good, but that's about it.
  11. My Hartlepool game is up to 2026. For some strange reason I had matches 3 days in a row over the Christmas period. Cheers EFL.
  12. Good to see Al Snow back in full-time work.
  13. One thing I hate is the way assignments are set up. It used to be that I could leave it to the Chief Scout to sort, but I could add assignments when I felt like it. Now I have to change the responsibility for setting assignments back to me before I can add any. It just feels needlessly cumbersome. Also, my Hartlepool team are currently 2 points inside the relegation zone of the Championship with 10 games to go. We've been on a couple of terrible runs, so I honestly don't know if we'll get out of it. Defence is the problem, and has been with every team I've managed in FM18 - my teams tend to score plenty of goals, but concede far too many. Any tips for tightening up defensively?
  14. Hartlepool update - we're up to the Championship after finishing 2nd. Special shout-out to Aaron Lennon, who ended up being a great signing.
  15. That reminds me: if anyone wants to read a cracking book about Clough, go for this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Provided-You-Dont-Kiss-Me-ebook/dp/B002RI9QYY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1516031103&sr=8-3&keywords=brian+clough It's bloody excellent.
  16. I'm a Philistine - I get bored quickly when I don't know any of the players. It's how I ended up with a 50% English squad in the Icelandic Premier. Cameron Jerome was a beast
  17. I was trying to avoid playing with the teams I usually do! Down the line I might try it with Fergie.
  18. I started a new game with the intention of replicating Brian Clough's career; basically, I could only leave one club for the next club he went to, and have to win the same number of trophies before I could. Started with Hartlepool. Clough moved on pretty quickly from there without winning anything, but I'm loving it too much to even think about leaving. Won the Vanarama in my first season, then won League Two in my second. In my third, nipped into 6th on the last day to get a play-off spot, and lost to Portsmouth in the final on penalties. Just brutal. Eight players out, plus a couple of loan signings not wanting to return, and I've brought ten guys in, so hopefully I'll be able to make it up this season. I've only spent 35k in the first three seasons, but finally had a bit of money, so spent about 300k this season, which hopefully will take me up. The club's highest-ever finish is 6th in League One, which I've equaled, so the goal now is to get them to the Premier League.
  19. Hidden Agenda is the shit. You play as the new leader of a Caribbean island, and have to make it through the first three years without being couped. https://www.myabandonware.com/game/hidden-agenda-ge
  20. Well, it's not a saga film, and there's been plenty of suggestion that the film might not actually be that good. Plus The Last Jedi has had a bit of a mixed reception. I mean, I'm sure they'll be fine, but I don't doubt that at least part of the reason for the scheduling is to give them an excuse, and then if it succeeds, they can have multiple Star Wars films a year.
  21. I think there's some concern that the Solo movie will under perform, so putting it in the summer might be a conscious decision to have an "out" if it does. Helps if they can blame a poor box office on scheduling.
  22. No spoilers, but I went to see it last night. I enjoyed it more on reflection that I did at the time, I think - definitely want to go again. In all honesty, I probably just overhyped myself, as it was a really good film. Couple of things don't really work, but I think it does a good job of being Star Wars while also doing enough differently to allow the franchise to go off in different ways in the future.
  23. Country music is really strangely popular in Ireland, selling out huge venues that pop or rock music can't. I have no idea why. Anyway, there's a guy called Nathan Carter who does a cover of the Old Crow Medicine Show song "Wagon Wheel": His cover is sort of a staple of bad wedding DJs these days. Today I discovered that the song is actually originally by Bob Dylan, whose recording had a chorus, and a melody for verses, but no verse lyrics. He discarded the song, and Old Crow Medicine Show picked it up twenty-odd years later: I love shit like this.
