I agree with all of these reviews. Aftersun is probably my second favourite of last year. I did love Decision to Leave though and yeah, agreed that Park Chan-wook just excels at everything. My last three films were Close, The Son and Saint Omer. Probably proof that I do truly love pretty dark content (The Son was just not good though).

I am doing the Criterion Challenge this year. Have watched three movies so far. Random Number Generator Selected - Onibaba (1964) - This was amazing. Two women living in a swamp who trap and kill soldiers leaving a civil war to make money. Things go awry when one of the women's son-in-law returns. Made in Beligum - Rosetta (1999) - Also liked this one. Centered on a young girl who does what she needs to to get by. Made in Taiwan - A Brighter Summer Day (1991) - A long one coming in at just under 4 hours but a really good story about a time period I wasn't super familiar with. Si'r gets mixed up in street gangs and a woman that leads to him struggling. Really enjoying this challenge so far as all three are films I would have never watched and all really enjoyed.

Yeah, I quite liked it. The performances are really really great.

For a 14 book series (or whatever), I think that's probably pretty fair. I tried the first book way back and couldn't get into it. It was only once the show came out that I was able to go back and get through it. I thiiiink I liked Book 2 more than Book 1 but the first one is definitely a lot of these kids leaving their small town and us being introduced to the world, so I can see how some might think it's a little slow.

Reading The Dragon Reborn, book #3 in The Wheel of Time series. While I loved book 2, I thought it was very slow until the end, whereas this one has been hard to put down.,

I would say to find a recommended watch order. Lots of new TV to start off the year. Started watching Kaleidescope. Interested how much of a difference people got between episode orders. Paul T. Goldman seems pretty fun.

I feel like 2022 was the first really good TV year since the pandemic. Severance, Better Call Saul, Andor, The White Lotus, Station Eleven, The Sandman, Barry, Abbott Elementary, Only Murders In The Building, What We Do In The Shadows, 1899, Our Flag Means Death, Heartstopper, A League of Their Own. There was a lot of really good TV this year.

Yeah it's been very very good. It makes me incredibly anxious and my stomach hurt, which is how I know it's good. 😆

Henry Cavill absolutely loves The Witcher and apparently keeps fighting for some of the best Geralt stuff to be included. This feels like a bad sign for Season 3 that Cavill is seemingly choosing to leave a project he worked hard to bring to life.

Any of the magic boots are pretty fun for a rogue - Boots of Elvenkind, Boots of Speed or Winged Boots. Gloves of Thievery are fun too.
