  1. LOL @ Ron Artest thanking his shrink in the post game interview. Ha Ha :lmao:
  2. So wait a minute.....the Big 12 has TEN teams, and the Big 10 has TWELVE? No wonder college sports are so screwed up.
  3. Yikes =( I hate to hear this as a Longhorn grad, Vince Young is a god in Texas, and still one of my favorite players of all time. Of course, if we find out the person he assaulted was an OU fan....all is forgiven
  4. I agree with Livid. There may be one or two who leave (someone like their back up QB Mitch Mustian comes to mind who is a senior), but really why would you leave a program like USC at this stage of your career? Does it suck that they won't get a chance to play for a National Title? Sure, but I seriously doubt that will drive a lot of players away who as Livid pointed out, are within a year or two of going pro anyways. If anything, what I think this ruling does is open the flood gates for juniors and third year sophomores to turn pro at the end of this season. 2010 won't be as bad for the Trojans as people think, I would imagine. It's 2011 that will be ROUGH for the men of Troy.
  5. Ugh. Fuck Tuberville. Seriously. I would even understand if the AP/BCS wanted to strip USC of the National Championship from that season. But Auburn/Tuberville by NO MEANS should be trying to lobby for a backdoor championship......though I guess that will be the only way they ever win an Football Championship in the modern era.
  6. I agree. I thought Avery did a very good job with the Mavs. It isn't his fault Dirk fades when the pressure is on. With that said, did he REALLY have to go to the Nets? Couldn't he have been in the running for a better gig? But anyways, good pick up for the Nets. Now if only they could land one of the free agents this off season.
  7. Yeah, the Big 12 would still hold conference games in football (and I suppose basketball and baseball too) for the 2011 season. I would imagine the plans would be for all the teams to join their conferences starting in 2012
  8. According to OrangeBlood.Com (who has been all over this story since it broke), Mizzou may not be heading to the Big 10 with Nebraska. It seems as though Mizzou have fallen out of favor with the Big 10, and it appears that Rutgers is the Big 10's backup plan if/when Notre Dame decides on whether or not to join.

    Batman 3

Clearly they need to bring in Robin and possibly BatGirl into Batman3...... .....that worked out lovely the last time WB did that.
  10. I'm not wanting to sound like I just want to take a swipe at Missouri, because that isn't my intention. However why would the Big Ten be more interested in Missouri, and not Kansas? I certainly understand their interest in Nebraska. The Corn huskers have a rich football history, and from everything I have read, the Big 12 has pretty much broken over Nebraska every chance they got. However what does Missouri offer? They are semi-competitive in both football and basketball, but not a national power in either sport. Kansas could offer you a historic team that would help to give the Big 10 a face of their basketball conference after Tom Izzo leaves Mich State.
  11. I see the series much like Naiwf. Home court in the finals is so important, meaning Boston will just about HAVE to steal two in LA to win the series. Game 1 is the one that would worry me if I were the Lakers. If they win that game, I don't see Boston winning game two. However if Boston were to steal Game 1, it would be interesting to see how the Lakers.....most noteably Koboe, reacts. In the end, I went with the Lakers but would not be surprised in the least if Boston won either.
  12. Cop Out.....2/10- Watched the movie with my ex a couple weeks ago, and I don't know what was worse....the movie or the company. (She wasn't my ex at the time by the way). Anyways, I really thought this movie had the chance to be a poor man's Lethal Weapon or even Rush Hour. Instead it was just Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan dropping F bombs, and doing stuff that was stupid. Robin Hood.....8.3- I probably rated this a little higher then most, because of the fact that going into the movie I was told that it was complete rubish. However I really liked the movie. It was a different tale on the Robin Hood series, which I liked, and Russel Crowe brought out the Gladiator type fighting that I expected to see. However the only thing that I disliked was the ending. I actually might have rated the movie a full point higher if the ending was better. Instead I just felt like I was watching a Lord of the Rings movie, which ended with a "...to be continued" basically. But still, Robin Hood was a very fine movie. The Back Up Plan.....2.4 Yeah, I'm pretty sure this movie wasn't meant for my demographic. It had one or two scenes that were funny, however it was a chick movie through and through. Prince of Persia......9.2 I cannot say enough good things about the movie. It isn't going to win any awards for it's acting, but if you take the movie for what it is worth, which I did, then you should be happy. The action was nice, the storyline was never dull, and the effects were different. It's not 'Batman;Dark Knight' great, but it is one of my favorite movies this summer so far.
  13. The Ugly Truth: 7.5/10.... I was affriad this would end up being a sappy chick movie. Well it was, but the guy in the film gave me someone to connect with, and he was funny throughout the entire movie.
  14. Can you imagine Daniel Synder in a no salary cap year? Dude will have a new team, & coaching staff each and every single year. Ha ha.
  15. Underworld 3: 8.5/10.... I love this series, and this movie was no different, only qualm would be that it didn't tell as much of a story as the first two, which in theory, I was expecting the complete opposite. Yes Man: 6.5/10.... This is actually the highest I've rated a Jim Carey movie in forever. He toned down the ADD rant, nor did he try and prove he could act. He was just funny, and it was a nice little story. Ice Age 1: 7/10 Fun little kid movie....disappointed slightly since I was expecting it to be more like Shrek. Waiting: 8.5/10.... I didn't realize it had as many people in it as the movie did. Dane Cook had what? Four or Five lines in the movie, tops? Oh well, it had Ryan Reynolds. That's all I care about.

  17. I'll be back to defend the crown....plaque.....paper....whatever the foggy fuck I won
  18. WTF! It's been like three days, and ESPN hasn't given me my daily "What is Favre doing today" update....did he go McDonalds or Burger King today? Did he get his haircut by Sam or buy that car from Jody? Dammit ESPN...I need to know these things, apparently. ....actually, I just miss seeing Rachel Nichols on my TV every day.
  19. I echo the statement made earlier about just about any sitcom lasting more then 5-7 years. Two that come to mind for me are Spin City & 8 Simple Rules. Michael J. Fox was awesome in Spin City, yet you couldn't have a more polar opposite replacement then Charlie Sheen....whom I like, especially on Two and Half Men. The show should have ended when Fox had to leave. Also, 8 Simple Rules should have ended after the show when Ritter died. The show was centralized around him. It wasn't/didn't work without him.
  20. I don't understand how the Mavs think they will become better if they pick up Marion....especially if it means they lose Howard, which in my eyes would be a wash at best. And more so, I haven't figured out why the Mavs resigned Kidd. He was KILLED all last year when he would face Paul, D Williams, Tony Parker or any of the young guards in the West. I don't care if Dallas can figure out a way to put both Howard and Marion on the floor, I still don't see the Mavs getting out of the first round as long as Jason Kidd is at the point.
  21. Transformers: 8/10....The first ten to fifteen minutes were completely sophmoric and didn't fit the rest of the movie, or series at all. However after Michael Bay got that out of his system, the movie really picked up and was entertaining from the point he went to college till the final scene. I enjoyed the movie, the new auto bot twins, and the rest of the movie. I am not sure yet if I like it better then the first, but without a doubt I am glad I saw it.
  22. US has just shown no life in the second half. Howard is the only one showing any energy at all. Too bad too.... he has played well.
  23. Star Trek: I'm not really a Trekie, but I watched enough of the orginal movies to get the concept of who everyone was. From someone who wasn't big into the orginal Star Trek, I liked this one. The guy they got to play Kirk is spot on for what I would envision the role to be. In fact the entire casting is pretty cool....and HUGES mark points for casting Karl Urban. I loved the movie, and can't wait till the others come out. 9.5/10 Marley & Me: Totally not what I expected. I thought this would be a goof ball movie where Owen Wilson chased his dog around from one akward/funny situation to another. It was a lot more serious then I had antcipated, but found myself interested in the story none the less. I would have rather it been more funny, but apparently I missed the boat on what type of movie it was. 7/10 The Proposal: I heart Ryan Reynolds. He is great in this, and Betty White yet again steals the movie. It's not NEARLY as chicky as I envisioned this movie to be. 8.5/10
  24. The movie was nice.... a bit long, but worth the antcipation. I'm not going over board and saying it was up there with the Batman Begins, though Sam W's character is one I connected with strongly. However, I imagine that like with the Batman series, the next film will be TEN times better, and for that I am looking forward to seeing. ...also, I kinda marked the fact the bad ass girl in the movie resembled Melina. That was hot.
