  1. Romo isn't an All-Pro quarterback yet. You have to realize he's started about 1 season's worth of games in the NFL. You want to know who else had satrted one years worth of NFL games and they were praising him as the next Ron Jaworski...Bobby Hoying. Bobby Hoying threw 11 TD's to 6 interceptions in his 1 full season in the NFL. The next year, Hoying threw 9 picks and no TD's. It just goes to say that the good quarterback's are the one's that can rebound from a game like Romo had last night. Romo has shown that he can still lead the 'boys to a score even though he's throuwn those 5 picks. If Romo can lead his team to a win in New England, then I will start considering him a good quarterback. Until then, I'm about as frightened of him leading an offense as I am Anthony Calvillo leading the Alouettes down the field.
  2. Last year the Bears didn't need a quarterback. Last year the Bears were built as a running/defensive team, and it led them to the superbowl. If Grossman finished out the year, I predict the Bears would've probably went 11-5 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. Right now I don't think Brian Griese is the save all-end all for the Bears, but anyone right now would be better than Grossman. Hey I'm all for Kyle Orton being the Bears QB of the future, and he's got almost as much experience as Grossman does. I really hope this means that I'll never ever see a subpar QB waste his teams time as a starter, and as a fan of the Baltimore Ravens, I know all about that...coughKyleBollersuckscough.
  3. After I saw the Falcons get killed last week, it got me to thinking. There going nowhere with Harrington this year, and even if they do, there not going to be great. 6-10 at best. So I was wondering, whom do you guys think that the Falcons will take in next years draft. My guess is either Brian brohm from Louisville or Colt Brennan from hawaii.
  4. Real funny, the part with FOX advertising there show on that ticker on the bottom of the screen got me and my friends cracking up.
  5. X is probably the best choice to start out with, as 12 can be two complicated for some while older games such as 7 or 8 can seem a little tough to start off with. Like DMN said though, you absolutely need to try out both 7 and 8, as they both are great games.

    Transformers

Saw the movie on Thursday with my friends, and it was really, really surprisingly good. Usually when a cartoon is moved to a live action movie it sucks, but this one seemed to encompass what I loved about transformers, while adding in some modern day things. Spoiler: Click here to view Only bad part of the movie was when Jazz got ripped in two. Jazz was sweet back in the original transformers, and I think he shouldn't have died in the movie
  7. Outdoor football in the spring? Hell yes I'll be watchin' What makes it even better is that it'll be basically college teams playing in their colors (Y)
  8. I don't know how anyone has not mentioned my Pittsburgh Pirates, whom haven't had a winning season since 1992. We've made some horrible contract decisions (Derek Bell, Jason Kendall, Raul Mondesi, and Pat Meares), been through 3 different rebuilding programs, and have hired managers that cannot seem to do anything write (Such as batting a leadoff hitter in the 3 hole). I think it has only been recently that we've begun to improve, but we're not going to have a winning season until our owner start caring and start putting money into the team.
  9. That's the unpredictability of a no-hitter or a perfect game. You can go almost two full seasons without having one then within 4 months (Of actual season time: September, April, May and June) you can get three no-hitters and a few near no hitters (Schillings recent no hit bid was taken into the 9th inning with 2 outs).
  10. Man, I hope his family will be all right. R.I.P. Josh Hancock
  11. As much as I hate the Yankees, I do like A-Rod, only for the reason that him and Jeter are having a little fued. Oh and by the way...I HATE DEREK JETER
  12. The trades I usually think as bad are the ones they DON'T make. Since I'm a Pittsburgh Pirates fan I know all about this. For example, during the 2004 season, we were shopping Kris Benson, a former #1 pick who never lived up to the hype. One of the offers we recived for him was Philly's 1st Basemen Prospect Ryan Howard, straight up. Instead of getting this deal, we got Ty Wiggington and some other minor leaguers. Now, neither Benson nor Ty did much with either the Mets or the Pirates after that, and by 2006, both were on new teams. I've always hated the Pirates GM Dave Littlefield for not making that deal, almost as much as I hated Cam Bonifay, the GM before Littlefield, for signing Derek Bell, leading him to go into "OPERATION SHUTDOWN".
