Earlier I was thinking about the tiering of this game, I mean, out the later tiers be larger than the earlier ones because so many tracks will be difficult? Or will all the first few tiers have quotes around them?

I will rent GH:M first, because I don't want to spend 60 bucks on 45 songs. If it is really good I will buy it though, I'm excited that AiC is in the game though.

Rock Band also has a much larger selection of DLC, due to it being out for longer though...

"Mr. Self Destruct" by Nine Inch Nails. The part near the end where all the noise builds up, I felt like my head was going to explode.
