  1. One or two more events and bringing back the old event-specific music will do for me. Anything else is a bonus.
  2. Thankfully, the answer is yes. A second series was announced for next year, with filming once again taking place at the Sheffield Arena.
  3. Georgia have qualified for their first major tournament by beating Greece on penalties. There was also a big brawl at half-time.
  4. It's just the principle for me. While it's fortunate that the microtransactions are clearly very unnecessary to play the game, it underlines how they don't need to exist at all. They could have avoided negative press by not bothering to have them.
  5. Regardless of how "necessary" the microtransactions are, it's still what I'd consider to be scummy practice that deserves a push-back from consumers. The game costs £70/$70 already, and that's not considering the Digital Deluxe version for an extra tenner. With games having their biggest audience and profit margins ever, adding microtransactions of any kind on top of that is just greedy.
  6. I imagine the short filming schedule makes injuries more likely. Obviously, though, it wouldn't be possible to hire a major arena for much longer than they do, so it's a difficult situation.
  7. Well, you've got to give the clubs outside the top four a chance.
  8. Joe Gomez and Joao Gomes being on at the same time is a bit confusing.
  9. They were very much "best of the rest" last season and only missed out on penalties. I can't begrudge them promotion after three playoff exits in a row.
  10. Is this a Breath of the Wild-esque "You can fight the main boss really quickly if you like, but you'll get pounded into dust if you try" sort of thing?
  11. Luxembourg are out. They would have been fun to watch at the Euros.
  12. The squad Leicester had last season really shouldn't have got relegated. The three teams that went down from the Premier League are probably stronger than the three that came up, both then and now.
  13. Alpha Protocol did some impressive things with its choice system. It's just a shame the gameplay was so cumbersome and full of bugs. I'd be curious to see how a remake with the safety net of Microsoft's backing would turn out.
  14. Critics seem to be raving about Dragon's Dogma 2, with a few calling it a Game of the Year contender.
  15. I hardly watched any F1 last season and haven't so far this season either. The last time I dropped off like this was during Schumacher's dominance in the early 2000s, but even that wasn't as predictable as it is now. At least Rosberg and Bottas used to keep Hamilton on his toes a bit.
  16. I've read that the cheapest adult shirt costs £85. I don't buy football shirts myself, but that can't be normal, can it?

    GTA VI

Apparently, there's likely to be another trailer in April.
  18. Balatro has sold more than a million copies since release. It's always refreshing to see a game do well through word of mouth and just being well made.
  19. Forest can only really blame themselves for being in the position they are in the table, even disregarding the points deduction. They've dropped more points from leading positions than any other team by quite a margin.
  20. Looks as though it's just Man City and three minnows left.
  21. This is a match that both teams would kick themselves for losing.
  22. Rashford found a good way to avoid a VAR check there by missing a sitter.
  23. I find it to be enjoyable as something to do while listening to or watching sport. I feel as though it's verging on being very good, and perhaps this entry could achieve that if it can inject a bit more soul into the off-track management. If I'm being realistic, though, I'm not sure I have much hope for the series in the long term. I'm just not really sure there's enough of a market for sports management games to make anything outside Football Manager and OOTP sustainable, especially if you're paying what must be a significant amount for the F1 licence. I think it might be best to put a management mode in the standard F1 games, a bit like they do with the likes of Madden and what used to be FIFA. It would certainly make me more likely to play them.
  24. Italy came very close to winning four matches in this tournament. Only Ireland managed to significantly outplay them.
