  1. While you’re delving into Apple stuff, check out The Last Days of Ptolomey Grey.
  2. We really loved the first two episodes, but this one largely left us cold. Maybe we’re too simple, but this one felt convoluted and confusing, particularly with Layla’s backstory and everything about going to the sarcophagus. We could have also used more Steven, but I get why it was more Mark. I really want to see her developed more three-dimensionally and clarify more about her and Mark.
  3. It absolutely does. Oscar-quality everything and just a ton of fucking fun.
  4. Everything Everywhere All at Once was goddamned phenomenal. Go see it.
  5. We just watched the first episode last night and I already agree.
  6. Yeah, Severance is legit tremendous. Very bleak. Darkly funny. Tons of suspense and intrigue. Lots of great performances.
  7. Fucking Christ. They’re gonna own everything.
  8. I mean. It doesn’t exactly have deep lore.
  9. Tubi has Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies. Is this the kind of terrible I want to see or just cringe? Or boring?

    Taskmaster

Yeah, once they’ve added a lot more we may do it. I’m especially interested to see if new episodes go up there same day(ish) of their original airing on Channel 4. I imagine there’s at least an outside chance of that, given that this service is only for North America (right?) That alone would be THE reason to get it, for us, as there’s no Official way to keep up with the show in real time from the States right now. Or wait, maybe it’s everywhere? Fuck.
  11. We watched the Assembled special on Disney+ about the making of Eternals. It was a really good watch. If nothing else, it’s worth it to watch Brian Tyree Henry talk about his first costume fitting.
  12. If you haven’t got on it yet, watch Severance on Apple TV+. Adam Scott starring in a dark thriller with dry comic touches, about people who undergo a procedure to separate their work life and home life. The work version has no knowledge of what the home version is doing and vice-versa. Some slightly futuristic Orwellian corporate shit. Really, really good TV.
  13. If you’ve not seen the UK version, get on that. It’s on HBOMax.
  14. Is Moon Knight the next Marvel series up? Do we have any kind of slated release dates for what’s coming?
  15. Finally, finally, FINALLY saw Spider-Man NWH last night. COVID dashed our hopes twice before and, as a result, I thought all of the big surprises and such had been spoiled for me. (Mostly by just catching brief glimpses of entertainment headlines in passing, all about 48 hours after the movie was released. They really need to calm tf down with that shit.) However, a couple of key things somehow did not get spoiled for me, and I feel they were likely the most important plot points. Even if everything had been spoiled for me, I still would have loved it. All the promotion and hype around it made it seem like it would just be a cool spectacle of casting stunts, but it turned out to be really well-told story with big, personal stakes that changed the narrative trajectory of the MCU, as well as the development of all the chief characters - especially Peter. One of Marvel’s best really.
  16. It was an uneven series with a few really great episodes, but that finale was absolutely bitchin’. So many things paid off.
  17. It’s gonna keep getting revived until it’s Presentrama, huh?

    GTA VI

    GTA London confirmed!

    GTA VI

Yeah, the whole franchise needs an overhaul from an intersectional perspective.
