    GTA VI

I don’t necessarily mind online stuff - I think has potential to be a ton of fun, out interacting with an ever-changing world. My biggest gripe with GTA Online (and RDO) is that you’re required to play co-op with other other online players to progress through a lot of it. I wish that was purely optional. Same with it costing a shit ton of in-game money (so, therefor, likely a lot of real money) to access any worthwhile updates. Grieving is, of course, the other problem, but they sort of fixed that with RDO. Not so much GTA.
  2. Ah, I get what you’re saying. Appreciated.

    WWE 2K23

Looks like Shawn is embarrassed to take the blame for a fart and Beth is mortified by it.
  4. Can you elaborate on that? Totally agree that the continued consolidation is bad for numerous reasons. What do you mean in terms of increasing lead times? I’ve been under the impression that it’s far better to delay (and even hold off on announcing a game), rather than overwork developers by cramming in weeks of crunch time.
  5. Ted Lasso, Schmigadoon!, and The After Party.
  6. We watched the first episode of The After Party on Apple TV+. It’s a comedy murder mystery produced by Lord and Miller (21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie, etc.,) starring an ensemble cast of great comic actors like Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Ben Schwartz, and more. The first 3 episodes (45ish minutes each) came out yesterday, and the remaining 5 will be released weekly. It’s super fun. You can see Lord and Miller’s influence all over it. So far seems like an actually good mystery and very funny. I laughed out loud several times.
  7. We keep meaning to watch it. There’s just so much other stuff.
  8. I see it's inspired by a British series, Murder in Successville. Brits, is that show any good?
  9. I actually don't mind him outside of BFQ and he's often fine even there, if a bit eyeroll-inducing. His looong bit this year was just too much for me, especially when he steamrolled his partner. The only BFQ regular that I dislike more often than not (when he's on BFQ) is Rob Brydon. He's fine enough on Would I Lie to You and whatnot, but he has such gratingly pedantic energy on BFQ.
  10. Yup. That reminds me: is there going to be a BFQ of Everything this year?
  11. We enjoyed the BFQOTY 2021, but Jonathan Ross was easily the worst part. His incessant Olympics bit nearly had us cursing our television.
  12. My wife and I have gotten into Picross. That’s who I am now.

    Taskmaster

It was a really fun show. Adrian Chiles was fucking delightful.
  16. Nothing But Murder’s. Murder’s Everywhere. No Natural Causes in Sight. Only That Which Belongs to Murder. Put That Down, That Belongs to Murder. Don’t Even Bother Going in There, It’s Just Murder’s Stuff, Waste of Time.
  17. 1. Feel Good 2. Ted Lasso 3. Rutherford Falls 4. Reservation Dogs 5. Ghosts (UK) 6. Taskmaster UK 7. Taskmaster New Zealand 8. Hacks 9. What We Do in the Shadows 10. Schmigadoon! 11. Only Murders in the Building 12. Last Week Tonight 13. Starstruck 14. WandaVision 15. Hawkeye Best New Character: Willie Jack, Reservation Dogs Judging by these lists, a lot more people should watch both Rutherford Falls and Schmigadoon!
  18. We finally signed up for Apple TV+, as I got 3 months free with my new phone plan. We intend to get around to a lot, but we’ve watched a few episodes of Schmigadoon! so far and love it.
  19. If you want a feel-good baking show, check out Baking It on Peacock. All episodes are free with ads. Andy Samberg and Maya Rudolph host and the judges are four grandmas. Lots of good feels, plus bits and musical numbers from Andy and Maya. We fucking love it.
