That finale was very satisfying.

It’s a good show. I like the WWDITS series more, but still enjoy it. And I’m loving the new season of WWDITS already, I says.

Netflix: Chef’s Table Amazon: Catastrophe

It is absolutely a quality show.

He is pure chaos and I love it.

We watched the S2E1 of NZ. I already have my favorite contestant.

We’re about to start on that ourselves.

The city council episode is probably my favorite of his. It’s coming back soon and I cannot wait.

She’s 100% right to do it. There was even an email between her and a Disney exec earlier in the process (when the question of streaming due to COVID was rising) in which the exec said they still planned for a theatrical exclusive and that if plans were to change they would renegotiate first. There’s also no reason for this to be the end of streaming premieres unless Disney alone makes that move. Warner Bros. has been renegotiating the contracts of stars in their movies this year in order to stream them without breach of contract. This is entirely a matter of a parent company not keeping their word. It’s important for the protection of all actors (not just stars) for Disney to be forced to pay her and cover the loss.

It was a damn good run considering Dudley Moore’s been dead most of that time.

Summer of Soul is a pretty great documentary. It’s about the Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969, sometimes known as the Black Woodstock. Basically every Black musical act that was alive and was ever popular was there, from all genres. INCREDIBLE performances and cool interviews. It was filmed, but the footage laid in storage up until now. Questlove directed it. It’s on Hulu here in the States, and I think it got a theatrical release.

Gunpowder Milkshake is an incredibly fucking fun movie. Pulpy, funny, and great action. If you like really arch action movies like Kill Bill, I highly recommend it. Be warned: a shit ton of blood.

Feel Good (on Netflix here in the U.S.) is a tremendous television program. Very funny, with great emotional tension and catharsis. Somewhat expressionistic, which is most welcome.

Season 5 will be the last.

GTA X will be another game set in the past Vice City of 2057.

Rose Matafeo’s show, Star Struck, is really good. It’s on HBOMax here in the States.

Just finished getting every trophy for Hitman 3 on PS4. First time I’ve done that with a game. Admittedly, it was more about time than difficulty.

We’ve been watching Hilda on Netflix. It’s a fucking tremendous animated series for all ages. Kids getting into whimsical adventure in a world steeped in both fantasy and the mundane (such as tiny elves who love contracts.) A largely (if not all) British voice cast, simple and lovely animation, all in a Nordic vibes sorta world. Absolutely recommended. Oh, and Hilda (our optimistic friendly protagonist) is voiced by Lady Mormont.
