  1. I am so fucking curious about that Wonder Man series.
  2. Season 2 is coming up pretty soon!
  3. Plus TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze.
  4. The season absolutely ends in a satisfying way. It’s good all the way through.
  5. JeeeeeZUSS, that looks fucking terrible.
  6. I’m sort of in the same camp as most of you. I’m glad I watched it and it was fun. But it felt so rushed. It was doing too much too fast.
  7. Really? I thought that was really challenging and solid.
  8. I was really happy with that episode.
  9. This all reminds me: Hallowicked has a video game series on YouTube/IWTV called Arcade of Terror. It’s his own weird low-budget comedic “reviews” of horror or wrestling video games. He did one for WCW/nWo Revenge that’s amazing. And then he just recently followed that up with WWE 2K22. It’s a great continuation.
  10. I grew up loving Royal Rumble on the SNES. But shout out to Wrestlemania XIX on GameCube for finally giving us the rooftop and barge battles we had all been clamoring for.
  11. You’re in for a treat with Atlanta.

I don’t think we can hold the next series to the standard this last one set, because it was uniquely wonderful. I look forward to whatever vibe we get with the new bunch. And that was a strong Champion of Champions. If anything, I just wish there had been another episode or two. Some strong moments from basically everyone: Liza and Ed’s outfits, Ed and Kerry’s prize tasks (a genius workaround and a fucking stellar feat), Richard’s perfect wine advert (including Alex nearly fucking it up), Ed fucking COMMITTING to a spectacular failure, Liza’s wonderful painting, and even Lou managing to bring the one not-so-spectacular prize, thereby giving us the requisite prize for Greg to shit on. Also: seahorse tongue. That live task was all-or-nothing, but quintessential Taskmaster. Greg is really good at those guessing games. The last few podcasts (both the OG and the People’s Podcast) have been really illuminating too.
  13. I look forward to seeing the episode of Assembled about that one. I hate that Disney+ doesn’t get the Spidermens, ‘cause I’d really like to see an Assembled on No Way Home.

According to the podcast, the women never even filmed it, so something either went way off the rails when the guys did it or it was just a bit boring. For a hot second, I thought it was going to be a team equivalent of the old prank tasks given to just one person. But apparently not.
  15. We haven’t finished Season 2 (we’re slowly working through multiple shows), but I’m generally pleased to hear it.
  16. Close up the thread and go home, this is a better ending than GRRM could have dreamed of.

I really enjoyed Joe Thomas on that series, for whatever it’s worth. And that was a damn good final tonight. It’s honestly been a truly exceptional series and almost entirely down to this being exactly the right mix of contestants. Everyone brought something to the table individually, but the whole is more than just the sum of its parts. Everyone doing Bridget’s dance together at the end was a perfect closing image to tell you what that group was like. And I am VERY excited to get Champion of Champions next week!
  18. This show is fucking great. Also, I don’t recall ever seeing a film or TV scene inside a mosque before - at least one portraying the simple everyday goings on, anyhow. I thought that was great.
  19. I should probably give Nevermind the Buzzcocks - especially this latest go - a shot. It does seem to feature a lot of my favorites.
  20. They are making this specifically to spite me.

That’s fantastic. I don’t know what’s better: that, or her mounting him on the throne.
