Oh, man. I got Forbes week one. THIS GOIN' BE GEWD And whenever we get identical helmet matches (Mick vs DFF week 7 and Thrila vs EddieG week 9), I decree they be "Loser Changes Logo to Image of the Winner's Choice" matches! HOLLA HOLLA HOLLA PLAYAS
No worries. We don't even draft until next week. That just leaves Thrilla. And man, looking at that Yahoo page I'm really pissed at those bastards for removing the dark skin option from their fantasy league pages. This blinding fucking plain ass white background is infuriating and an assault on the eyeballs.
Draft is sometime next week, probably on the early side. We'll start whenever the other league does. Send me lists if you know you'll be busy for while (especially since your schedule is brutal) and have a pick coming up. I think 12 hours is the usual time limit for the early rounds of picks, but it'll be flexible. Lists go for everyone if you're a busy bee. Lists are your friend!
Honestly, the draft is kind of top heavy this year. I think picking later might actually be an advantage as you can scoop 2 quality guys early on the snake. You can also swap draft places with some one pre-draft if you find someone who wants your spot.
I must say I'm going to miss Dan's team name. Bortle Kombat was easily my favorite of the bunch.
We still need our resident draft commentator, Meacon! And as I said in the B-League thread, Mick and James Ewing are with me so check your PMs and get on that. Maxx has picked Livid and Dan to call up to A-League. Everything should be in place now.
Alright, so commie waivers are the overwhelming favorite (even though Midget has voted for some reason), so that is what I'll set them to for you heathens. Due to @Mick's lack of punctuality, we had to recruit one last player to have two 12 team leagues. So, Mick and @james_ewing88 will be in our league now. Unfortunately, our pals @Dan and @livid are promoted to A-League effective immediately to get them to 12. This means I'll have to reshuffle the draft order. Everything is finalized now, so there should be no more turbulence after this, and I'm sorry about everything getting shuffled around. Things just got a little hectic this year with the slow sign-ups and subsequent changing of leagues.I will go ahead and remove Dan and Livid's teams to save them the effort. In the meantime, Mick and James need to check their PMs and sign up for the league as soon as possible. @Slogger and @Thrilla still need to do so as well. And for the love of all that is holy @EddieG please change your team name from Edgar's Team. So sorry about all of that again and hopefully everything is smooth sailing from here on out. Here's to a good year.
We were going to be short anyway due to Busch for sure not playing and others not signing up after a week of sign-ups, so the merger was going to be needed even if we get one more player. That said, I sent out league renewal links to to everyone from last season. I'll send out another reminder, so Mick go check your inbox in a few minutes and renew. I'll do my best to find another guy so everyone can play. If anyone is reading this topic that wants to play and hasn't signed up yet, please do it now.
Yeah, I'm fine with that, but I won't budge on removing the rolling. I already feel it takes importance away from the draft and punishes the more successful teams. Say for example Berober starts 7-2 then loses 2 top players in 2 weeks. By the time he falls down the rankings enough to get a suitable replacement, it's slim pickings. Whereas with FAAB it's about whoever wants it most. That said, worst-to-first priority will do as long as it rolls. For example, say there's three hot free agents that just had huge games and everyone wants them. If it didn't roll, the team with the 2-5 record could grab all three before the 2nd worst team with a 3-4 record. The rolling would reset every week, so if they're still the worst team next week, they get first dibs again, but not having rolling at all is unfair to everyone except the absolute worst team.
