  1. The Canadian Crisis has you rescuing characters from LOST (names changed, obviously)! They're slowly adding more content to the game, but from about lvl 15 to 20-22 its kind of weak unless you like doing desert missions. The Canadian missions around that level are a royal pain.
  2. Just wondering if anyone else here plays Champions Online, has played it and quit, or hasn't played but wants to try it. Champions Online is a lot more fun than City of Heroes/City of Villains, even though CoH/CoV has better graphics. You're not limited to 2 powersets and Champions Online doesn't uses classes or servers. (Champions Online has instanced zones rather than servers) (And one of these days I need to change my avatar; I haven't played City of Heroes in over 2 years!)
  3. Btw, regarding Garrus' loyalty mission, you can go either way with it and still keep him loyal, but if you take the Paragon route I believe you have to do certain triggers/pick certain dialogs. I think his loyalty mission is the only one like that. If you haven't done both Jack and Miranda's loyalty missions, read this first, because it will save you a lot of grief later: How to beat the final mission with no one dying:
  4. Congratulations! You're up.
  5. There have been TWO different Major League Baseball teams called the Washington Senators (the original team and an expansion team). Both teams still exist, but relocated and changed names. Name both.
  6. From what I've heard, Kraven killed the Grim Hunter (I think) and due to something going wrong with how he was brought back he can only die again if Spider-Man kills him (and I'd like for an explanation of how that works; does he regenerate (like Wolverine and several other characters) or pop up alive again later like a Highlander-type Immortal that `died' but didn't have their head cut off?). He's also pissed that he was brought back to life. (I'm wondering if the `Spider-Man has to kill him for him to die' thing only applies to Peter Parker or to his clones, too? Maybe Kaine could take him out.)
  7. The Dana Carvey as Bush was in response to SS asking me to answer and get it over with, since I didn't want to answer it. Learn to read, you twits.
  8. *Dana Carvey as George Bush* Not gonna do it! (Besides, I already PMed GoGo to confirm I had the right answer (I did ), and that's good enough for me. Plus I don't have another question to ask but I've got one heck of a question to ask if I ever win at wrestling trivia)
  9. Because of the crap Favre has pulled the last few seasons, I think most team sports should adopt some sort of rule (even its an unspoken one) regarding retirements. Maybe set it up so that if someone decides to retire because their heart isn't in it anymore or they don't think they can play anymore, then can change their mind ONCE; you come back then retire again, you're retired permanently. Or that if you're doing what Favre has been doing between seasons, you only have a set amount of time - say, up to about 2-3 days before the next draft - to decide. You don't make a decision by then, then you're either retired or sitting out a full season. I could see someone retiring for a good reason being allowed to change their mind and come back. For example, someone who has a dehabilitating illness that forces them to retire but it gets cured. Or someone who has to retire to take care of a family member and the problem gets sorted out. But Favre takes the cake.
  10. I think I know the answer, but I'm going to see if anyone else takes a guess first.
  11. The answer is NOT Martin Landau. I asked who the leader of the IMF was before Jim Phelps (Peter Graves). Martin Landau played Rollin Hand, who was the team's original master of disguise, not its leader. Leonard Nimoy more or less replaced him. I should have mentioned that the actor in question was only on the show for its first season. The answer is Steven Hill, better known as DA Adam Schiff on Law & Order from 1990 to 2000. His M:I character was named Dan Briggs. Now I'm going to ask a MUCH easier question, instead: Hugh Laurie plays the lead role of Dr. Gregory House on House MD, but what American show did his former comedy partner Steven Fry have a recurring role on for a while, and what was the name of his character? (Btw, this question should be a `You guess the show and get it wrong, please bitchslap yourself for me' level question. )
  12. AC/DC Billy Idol C Disturbed or Dokken Elvis Presley Finger Eleven Gorillaz Hank Williams (Sr AND Jr) Incubus Journey (with Steve Perry) Kenny Chesney or Korn Led Zeppelin Megadeth N Ozzy Osbourne P Queensryche Rage Against The Machine or Rob Zombie S Three Doors Down Utada (Hikaru) V Weezer X Y ZZ Top
  13. *BZZT!* Nope. Leonard Nimoy was on the show much later as a character named Paris (don't think they ever revealed his full name) after Star Trek was cancelled. The actor in my question did the series he is more well known for a long time after Mission Impossible, but wasn't on the show for its entire run.
  14. Okay, I'm going to ask a classic tv question: Peter Graves was not an original cast member of Mission Impossible, so someone other than Jim Phelps was the leader of the IMF at first. Name the actor and the show that actor is more known for. (Naming the character he played on either show is optional)
  15. Laurence Mason. Crow = Tin-Tin. Prison Break = Sammy Another Crow/Prison Break connection, by the way: Jody-Lyn O'Keefe was in The Crow: Salvation.
  16. To show how off the casting of Keanu Reeves was for Constantine, the character's appearance in the comics was based on the singer Sting circa the late 70s.
  17. Finally got my hands on the Highlander anime movie and watched the first 8 minutes or so. Too bad they didn't/couldn't use "Princes of the Universe", but I guess it probably wouldn't really fit the movie anyway. Plan on watching the rest of it later tonight. Also managed to get a copy of Otaku No Video.
  18. Mike Golic took the conditioning test that Haynesworth keeps failing. Golic is 47 and retired as a player in 1993. Haynesworth is 29. *MEGA-HYPER ULTRA FACEPALM*
  19. I don't know if I mentioned it or not but I had to drop all my comic subscriptions through the comics shop I frequent recently. Mostly due to financial reasons, but also because I'm running out of storage. But I found out recently that a back issue of one of the comics I was reading is available to read/download as a .pdf for free, and I thought I'd share: http://www.kenzerco.com/free_files/kodt/KODT132_promo.pdf Current issue should be #165 or #166, but the series tends to run late at times.
  20. Welcome to May 2010 (Y) Blame it on my local paper. They never had a story about it before today and I frankly don't care about Boxing anymore because it needs some serious reforms.
  21. Sadly, I don't think anyone will pay nearly what they're worth, but $10,000 and the best offer was at most $400? That IS a joke. I don't expect to get nearly what I put into my cards or what they're worth, either. I'd estimate I've probably got at least $400 to $500 worth of cards, myself - and that's a low guess, considering what I paid for them. Oh, and at the last gaming con I ever went to, a Beta Black Lotus was destroyed as the result of a charity auction (there were `voting jars' to put money into; one to give it away, another to destroy it) and an unopened box of Fallen Empires boosters was tossed into a wood chipper after no one bought it at the auction. I can't remember if FE was the current expansion at the time or if whichever one came after it was. Some of the cards I know I have that *might* be of interest (if I don't say what its from, its because I don't remember): Demonic Tutor (Revised) Wrath of God (pretty sure its either Fourth or Fifth) Kormus Bell (same) Braingeyser Amnesia Most, if not all, Mana Batteries (from Fallen Empires) Obelisk of Undoing Stasis Reverse Damage (pretty sure its from Revised) I'm pretty sure I don't have an Armageddon, unfortunately. Got a lot more than those, but those are the ones I can think of offhand. I have cards from The Dark through Weatherlight expansions, but not a whole lot of cards from The Dark (got into the game just as the next expansion was coming out and only got my hands on a handful of Dark boosters), and Revised through Fifth edition. If anyone is looking for any cards in particular, PM me a list (don't post it here) and I'll look and see what I've got. But try to keep the list reasonable (ie, around 6 to 20 cards).
  22. James Toney has apparently signed a 3 fight deal with UFC, and he's going to fight Randy Couture in August. The deal lets Toney opt out if Toney loses the fight, but he's said he wants to stick it out if (more like when - Couture is going to kill him) that happens.
