  1. Austin is really going to hate that one of the people that Dallas might be interviewing to replace Quinn is Ron Rivera 1.0. I certainly hate it. @Maxx what say you?
  2. I just hope they don't do another American version. There's been talk about it several times, and I do not like the idea. The 2008 version was awful. On the other hand, I'd love it if they brought back Battle Dome. But that's not going to happen. (Besides, I doubt they'd be able to get Terry Crews to host it as T-Money.....)
  3. Another cancelled show that ended on a cliffhanger: Paramount+'s Wolf Pack.
  4. @Benji @K Good news: Rookie Feds has been cancelled. Bad news: It ended on a cliffhanger they might resolve on The Rookie. Hopefully with a throwaway line.
  5. If you have Peacock and are not watching The Traitors, you are missing some damn good tv. And, if you are watching:
  6. My issue is more that they won't admit they cheated than the actual cheating. A-Rod admitted he did, but there are some who think he either lied about when he did or how long. And some are on the bubble about McGwire, who was one of my favorite players (so was Clemens), belonging in. If he was a DH, yes, but he was a 1st Baseman. He has..or had..a lot of hitting records, but he has only about 30 more career hits than strikeouts and wasn't exactly known for his defense. (Not me. I think he'd belong if not for the denial of cheating.)
  7. The finale of The Trust: A Game Of Greed. Also, Heidi and I have been watching Anthony Anderson (and Mama Doris!) on his new show, We Are Family. I was 3 for 3 on the latest episode (but didn't get the first one until the clues from singing with their relative), and 2 for 3 on the previous two. I'm beating Heidi, so far, but....
  8. I recommend this one: Lehto's Law. He's an attorney who specializes in Consumer Protection and Lemon Laws, but covers cases around the country (and Canada, apparently, according to an episode I watched recently) that are sometimes weird lawsuits, sometimes weird arrests, and occasionally `WTF? How did they think they could get away with this?' cases.
  9. Whenever Hall of Fame nomination (or inductees) discussion starts, I always see people whining that Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Pete Rose belong in. No, they do not. Bonds and Clemens are not only cheaters, but have continued to deny it. If they ever add a Cheaters wing to the Hall, they and others (A-Rod, McGwire) go in there. But not until they confess. I think Pete Rose should go in. 5 years after he passes away. (Then again, I also believe Shoeless Joe should go in, and Charles Comiskey should be kicked out....)
  10. Lift. Basically, think Mission: Impossible, except they're actually crooks, an Interpol agent is working with them....and the team leader is Kevin Hart. Its an action/heist film with some comedy, but not anything bust out laughing level. I'm already hoping for a sequel.
  11. The problem is that at one point they swerved from boy scout to asshole. I actually dislike the whole Jean-Scott-Logan love triangle. Jean and Logan makes no sense.
  12. And just what did the sun do to you?!
  13. Haven't read SI - even the swimsuit issues - in well over a decade. And them proclaiming Deion Sanders "Sportsman of the Year" makes me think I haven't missed much. But this is a shocker.
  14. Also, all caught up on The Trust. Just waiting for the finale.
  15. Deion and Shadeur Sanders are trying to get Alabama players to go to Colorado.
  16. If Belichick isn't another Mike Shanahan, you might be correct.
  17. Isn't Return to the Hangar more or less just a do-over with a different beat and a couple of words changed, though? Escape The Fate had The Guillotine, This War Is Ours (The Guillotine II), and The Aftermath (The Guillotine III). Ronnie Radke, who sang lead on the first song, did Guillotine IV (The Final Chapter) with his current band, Falling In Reverse. I have all four songs, but have yet to actually listen to all 4 in a row.
  18. I never said the refs are why they lost, just that the game was affected by bad officiating. And a few Steelers fans are whining about the officiating in their loss to the Bills. The Steelers just got outplayed.
  19. I may hate the Eagles, but they were screwed by the refs last night. I absolutely do not like to see games affected by bad officiating.
  20. That looks worse than the Ice Bowl already.... Under COVID, NASCAR ran some races by having drivers driving racing simulators (a few drivers ended up out due to their machines breaking), and even ran an old track or two that no longer exists. With the announcers calling the races just like they would a real one. Sadly, I do not see the NFL doing something similar by just having the head coaches and/or coordinators play Madden against each other if the weather is bad.
  21. From the shows mentioned, I agree with Arrow, Falling Skies and Legends of Tomorrow. But, at the same time, I also agree with JasonM about the final season of Falling Skies. It was stupid. Personally, I don't think DS9 really hit its stride until about halfway through season 2, but it went downhill quick once the Dominion War started. Of all the Star Trek shows, I think Voyager had the worst finale, though. Picard should have been the Borg's worst nightmare, not Janeway, and the ending makes the entire episode before that completely moot.
  22. Ended up watching the next two episodes because Heidi wanted to, and after the conversation they had in episode 3, I know. Have revised my opinion somewhat after watching those other episodes, and am editing my post to reflect that.
  23. The only reason I tolerate them is because they have some fairly attractive female actors *, plus several of both genders who are actually good. Before CCB showed her true colors, I was already annoyed because her acting is straight up cookie cutter. Danica McKellar also bolted for GAF, by the way. Lacey Charbet signed a new contract with Hallmark in October, but I don't know how long it is for. *Taylor Cole, Pascale Hutton, Hunter King, Lacey Charbet, Bethany Joy Lenz, and Rachel Leigh Cook, especially. Merritt Patterson, who was on that list, apparently went to GAF a few years ago.
