  1. Wasn't the best game, but Qatar became the first-ever hosting nation to lose their opening game, so that's good news.
  2. My copy of the new Meatwave album just got to Singapore and this band is like a fine wine, getting better with age.
  3. Few actors have defined a character quite like Kevin Conroy, he's the voice I hear when I read Batman comics. It's sort of ironic that I just finished Gotham Knights that deals with the death of Batman. I went on a bit of a rabbit hole binge just a dew nights ago looking at his career and wondering why he didn't voice Bruce/Batman in the game. Time to rewatch Mask of the Phantasm and Return of the Joker.
  4. Just finished it myself, and I agree, it was nothing groundbreaking but the city was visually beautiful and it was a great unique story to explore from one of my favourite comic worlds.
  5. The grinding of crime incidents is really wearing me out now, it's so repetitive and never really changes. I feel like it's missing something, but I can't put my finger on it. It definitely makes me pine for a new Arkham game though.
  6. They should have used AI technology and brought back Bob Hoskins.
  7. Blasted my way through the season of 'Don't Hug Me I'm Scared' that just debuted on Channel 4 in the UK, every bit as funny and terrifying as their original online self-releases and I hope it leads to another series. For fans of Sesame Street if it was done by David Lynch and Wondershowzen. The twins are especially horrifying...
  8. "Gangsta's Paradise" was the coldest song I'd ever heard as a kid and it still holds up today, we didn't get much exposure back then, it was this and "Regulate". Still a great track. Years ago, he played a show in Preston at my uni (UCLAN) and was invited to my friend's house for dinner the next day, and he showed up and helped cook a 3-course meal and then did an acoustic cover of Gangsta's Paradise and told them stories about his career. When I was told the story I didn't believe a word of it, then saw the videos.
  9. Both games are acknowledged and mentioned! Quite nice of them of Gilbert and Co. to do that considering.
  10. Exact same boat, I haven't touched it since the initial release, I got to the city and then gave up it was so bad. I may jump back in if it's improved now. Reminds me of No Mans Sky, I got that on launch and was really disappointed, but I'm now told it may be worth going back to.
  11. The game picks up after Monkey Island 2, but it doesn't ignore the non-Gilbert games, it includes all the canon. It just decides to pick up on an unanswered question which was “What actually was the Secret of Monkey Island?” Despite being the title of the first game, it was never actually revealed.
  12. Loving Return to Monkey Island so far, I got to Part 2 last night. The art style has definitely grown on me and overall it's just a great fun game of nostalgia.
  13. Apparently Rockstar have been quoted that it won't add on any additional time to the release date due to this.
  14. The only real winner from that Nike World Cup kit leak is the Korea away kit. On the other hand, the new Nigeria kits from Nike are absolute fried gold.
  15. As a Seahawks fan, I know it's gonna be a rough year, but I'll take the little moments of joy when we get them.
  16. If Michael Sheen's rally cry for Wales' World Cup run isn't used in some promotional form, they're fools. What a speech.
  17. Don't Hug Me I'm Scared finally debuting on Channel 4 on Sept 13th. It's been a long road...
  18. Yeh I just find the whole streamer community thing a bit odd on the whole.
  19. My friends and I spent a Sunday watching and reviewing JCVD movies a few weeks back whilst I was in the UK, the reviews form my friend are as follows: A.W.O.L (aka Lionheart) - 5/10 - Solid bit of early Van Damme, good action, story was fine, amazing work by Harrison Page, slightly hokey, but overall would recommend. 5/10 Jean Claude van Johnson (Amazon Prime Series) - 9/10 - Absolute gold. Wonderfully silly, really engaging work by the main cast, completely played into everything you would want it to. Brilliant. Timecop - 7/10 - Held up to my memories of it being good, within the genre. A fun plot, and good action scenes, but perhaps could have done with a little more plot work and the acting is nothing to write home about, but overall wholly enjoyable. Knock Off - 3/10 - This film holds a special place in my heart for how ludicrous it is, but I have to acknowledge that it's crap. Potential to cause liver failure when you add "drink every time someone says knock off(s)" to your JCVD drinking game rules. It's just a mess of a film, but it will make you laugh. 3/10 Double Team - 0/10 - This makes Knock Off look good, barely comprehensible, awful casting, it doesn't get you invested in the characters or the story. It's the worst film I have ever watched (a title previously held by another van Damme film, Black Eagle). Not even worth watching for a laugh. 0/10
  20. Safe to say that One Championship Fight Night 1 I attended didn't disappoint, even at 8 am in the morning! UFC needs to bring in the stage and entrance videos for shows, just added some great hype for the matches. Bar two prelim fights, every fight went to a finish, and Might Mouse's flying knee finish on Moraes was the pick of the lot! Also really enjoyed Marcus Almeida's alligator roll into heel hook submission, he's definitely one to keep an eye on.
  21. Picked up the game last week and having lots of fun with it.
  22. Things I never expected to be turned into a video game. Colour me intrigued.
  23. Such a great film with an immense cast when you think about who is in it. Last night, having seen the trailer for Wednesday, I watched Addams Family Values and realized how I miss Raul Julia.
  24. If they play their cards right with Molly getting a win at MSG and booking Paddy on the card, it could be huge.
