  1. Really not a fan of this NFL style play off one game system now, bring back the the two leg knockouts, provided so much more drama (and more money, which is what MLS is all about). Also, that 21 day lay off killed the 1st seeds momentum, seems winning the league costs you the cup.
  2. I knew I recognised Rab Florence from somewhere very specific, and it finally clicked..
  3. Just finished Let There Be Carnage, a really fun 90 minute ridiculous film as I'd expect from a Venom Vs Carnage film.
  4. Agree on that, Joy is still on constant rotation for me, but this Crawler was a decent album that I really enjoyed more than Ultra Mono
  5. Finally took the plunge on getting Riders Republic and after the generic intro stuff, it's turning into a super fun game, the mass online races are absolute carnage in an entertaining way, and it's probably the best extreme sports game I've played since Tony Hawk.
  6. From what I recall reading the vast majority of the upscaling was done by an AI system so that would explain a lot.
  7. Looks like Rockstar have delisted the PC version for sale to fix bugs. It's been a wierd release for Rockstar, no real footage other than 59 seconds worth before release, no access to game reviews to early looks at it and give opinions, and now having to pull the PC version for bugs. It's like they're trying to do a Cyberpunk launch
  8. The Stanley Parable is wonderful. All hail the Serious Room. I'm looking forward to trying the Ultra Deluxe edition.
  9. Interesting move but a bit risky, if he messes this up, can't see him every taking over at Liverpool which I;m sure has always been the long term game plan, the Premier League is a hard hunting ground to survive in. Honestly hope he does well though.
  10. Bit of Aussie punk rock to get the day going..
  11. That's one way to guarantee we make the playoffs!
  12. At first I thought you meant Rites of Spring from DC, that's a band I'd have loved to see live, and for a song by them "Drink Deep". They're all still alive so it could happen. Historically, "Hammer To Fall" by Queen, with Freddie Mercury of course. It is the first song I remember hearing my dad play when I was 2 or 3 and it's just an immense song.
  13. Don't Hug Me I'm Scared Not sure how I missed this the first time round as it's very much up my dark humour alley, but it's fantastic and now the songs are stuck in my head. A new series just wrapped recording for Channel 4 so I'm looking forward to more. For fans of Wonder Showzen, Salad Fingers and erm, David Lynch?
  14. Has anyone played Rider's Republic yet? It looks like a hell of a lot of fun and something a bit different.
  15. Whilst I've not had single gig since moving to Vienna, just had Bohren & Der Club of Gore announce a European tour here next month and finally get the chance the see them after 10-15 years of waiting.
  16. I'm intrigued to see how they all look on the next gens, I'll probably hold off buying straight away but it'd be nice to revisit the games again. And I also hope it does well enough that Rockstar consider a remaster of The Warriors down the line (though it may bring major licensing headaches).
  17. A board game that also features me under my Football Manager pseudonym!
  18. I love how Keita is quickly becoming the guy who just spanks it on the volley and it goes in.
  19. This, and also Striker on the SNES was a game I was obsessed with as you could play 5-a-side indoors.
  20. LMA Manager! How could I forget that gem, this was a big fix for me when our family PC died and didn't get repaired/upgraded for a good year or two, my PSX was my only other outlet. Loved me some LMA.
  21. This is pretty much a mirror of me, I was always obsessed with building new stands in Premier Manager 95, and I miss those great scoreboard animations you'd get in game. My fondest memories of CM 97/98 was when a load of school mates would get a chance to stay at one of our houses overnight and really get into it on a multiplayer game. I fondly remember my mate buying Denilson from Real Betis from under my nose (I was a huge fan of him) and then we ended up playing each other in the FA Cup Semi Final, and Denilson missed the deciding penalty costing them the game. Never had I experienced such redemption and joy at the same time.
  22. My friends bands name was 'Cherno' purely in honour of that legend.
