also I hope Thinker stays in his current host body for the rest of the season, because I love that actress and love the weird genderqueer undertones of it all.

Two XBox exclusives I'm quite fond of are Cuphead and Sunset Overdrive. Sea of Thieves also seems like it could be good fun for a while. Their game pass system is also kind of cool, particularly now that all of their future exclusives will be accessible through it.

Since you want it to last a while, I actually would say that yeah, you should consider getting the One X. XBox's mentality towards consoles seems to be heading towards the iPhone model where there might not be a big revolutionary new system per se but updates/improvements on previous ones, and if that's the case then I could see them eventually making games that are compatible for the One X and whatever the next one is and maybe not just the One or even the One S (which is what I'd say you should go for if not the X, you'll get plenty of solid deals on that). also I too have PUBG and just haven't played it at all/even installed it yet, so I'd probably try it out if I had people to play it with. I'm hot garbage at shooters, though.

Me: "Hey, I've got some food here, you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna watch the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season finale. That seems like a good idea!" Me, after the first song in the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season finale: "I've made a huge mistake."

I think it's a show you could easily put in between watching episodes of other shows as like a palette-cleanser. The majority of the episodes are so self-contained that it doesn't feel like a binge show, or a show you really need to commit a major amount of continuity brain space to; the main plot is in like... five or six episodes, and then there's an additional three or four episodes where crew members arrive and crew members leave.
  6. The Marvel Cinematic Universe TV Thread

Basically I'd say it depends on whether you'd rather watch something that's the best follow-up to Agents of SHIELD or if you want to catch up with the TV side of the MCU most effectively. If it's the former, do Agent Carter. It's great. If it's the latter, yeah, start on Daredevil.

I'm on episode six of The Punisher and I'm not really feeling it. Not that it's actively bad, it's just not especially interesting and not really what I want out of a Punisher story at all. It feels a bit like they felt like doing a more traditional Punisher story would be alienating as a series, so we're back into the thick of Who Killed Frank's Family and backstory stuff that makes him more sympathetic.

I do agree with all of those, more or less! But I also think that given the way Marvel's movies/sequels seem to work I'm pretty hopeful that a sequel would do a lot more worldbuilding/delve into stuff like that. If Ryan Coogler wants to make another one of these Marvel should pretty obviously be throwing a huge sack of money at him to do it. To me I think it's maybe in my top five but it's getting weird for me to try to rank them now because some of these movies I haven't seen in over five years now. At bare minimum it has a top 3 film villain and continues MCU Phase 3's really good track record with villains, Dr. Strange aside.

It was really good. It didn't reinvent the wheel, but it did things that other Marvel movies have shot for a lot better. There are a lot of comparisons to be made with this and Thor: Ragnarok in terms of the villain/core conflict, crazy that they came out back-to-back and that each of them has such a distinct and enjoyable style that those similarities don't feel like a knock on either movie. For my money, Shuri stole the whole damn movie. On multiple occasions I missed dialogue entirely because the audience was still laughing at one of her lines. Okoye was also extremely popular.

My aunt hated it, and I definitely have seen/heard people coming out of the theater it plays in at my work hating it. Personally, I liked but didn't love it. I thought it was a really beautiful movie with a great cast but it didn't grab me in a major way.

Yeah, episode 3 had the most "oh, that's not great" moments, particularly re: dialogue. I'm only just starting on the fourth one today.

Speaking of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, they're doing a live tour and Seattle's one of the cities. I might go, depending on what the prices are like! The cast members going other than Rachel Bloom are Vincent Rodriguez III (Josh), Scott Michael Forster (Nathaniel), and Pete Gardner (Daryl).

Prison Dad Goldberg is the best.

I'd say his defining role is Sam Malone in Cheers. So if you ever caught reruns of Cheers somewhere, could be that?
