  1. Blowing a lead twice because of very foolish mistakes and conceding a goal at the death from your own corner kick...I don't know what else you can call that! Fair play to Manchester United for getting back into it and keep going, and it is nice to see a huge flop like Antony and fringe player like Diallo to get goals. The hope for Liverpool is that no one comes back healthy from the international break, and that this performance wasn't the start of players showing how physically and mentally exhaustion.
  2. Liverpool have absolutely bottled this. Just a series of ridiculously stupid mental mistakes.
  3. Wasted way too many chances to put this match to bed, frustrated that. And to let a League Two level player equalize of all things!
  4. Whether they stay up or get relegated, Nottingham Forest are going to have a struggle to keep Morgan Gibbs White this summer. He's not a Big Six player, but I think he's definitely a Premier League quality player and almost always Forest's best player each weekend.
  5. Seems like FSG are indeed getting ready to buy another club. Benfica Technical Director Pedro Marques is set to join the new setup headed by Michael Edwards. Both are going to be working for FSG and not Liverpool directly, per David Ornstein
  6. What a comeback. Wolves score 2 in five minutes to go up 2-1, only for Coventry to equalize in the 97th minute and win it in the 100th. Incredible
  7. Wow. I absolutely didn't expect that breaking news to pop up on my phone. Aaron Donalds retiring is a massive, massive surprise. I truly hope that it's a decision made by him for reasons of not wanting to play anymore instead of health issues or something bad
  8. We've been consistently incredibly shit playing in Italy, so Atalanta could definitely surprise us! But it's definitely hard to see us going out before the Finals. It's very easy to predict a fitting Final of Klopp vs his potential replacement, but AC Milan absolutely could have something to say about that!
  9. They've been better, but they're also missing Pedri, Gavi, Balde, and De Jong. PSG are choke artists and Mbappe is barely playing since Enrique is preparing them for life without Mbappe, but I would still fancy PSG to eliminate them. Also fully expect Atletico to eliminate Barca if they win. If Real Madrid were at full force, I think they could eliminate City, but they're still missing Courtois, Militao, and Alaba. Courtois and Militao are getting close to returns, but they're coming off ACL tears so it's really hard to count on them for anything. Definitely intrigued to see if Arsenal can celebrate ruining Harry Kane's last chance for a trophy this season, or if Kane will eliminate Arsenal.
  10. Definitely didn't see that coming. We knew that they'd have to get rid of one of Williams or Allen, but after cutting Williams, didn't see them trading Allen too.
  11. Even your leg couldn't bear you anymore! I say that with love ❤️
  12. Hope all the Liverpool fans were in their seats early for both halves! 3 goals in the first 10 minutes, and 2 inside the first 6 of the second half. Liverpool were genuinely outplayed last week, the scoreline grossly flattered us. Tonight is a very different story. This is amazing 🤣
  13. Yeah it's definitely very vague what all he's actually going to do because he didn't want to just be a Sporting Director again, and is why he turned us and other big clubs down over the past 2 years. But having him back in any capacity is still a massive win in my opinion, given how much knowledge he has both of Liverpool and of analyzing data. It also will coincide with Bournemouth Sporting Director Richard Hughes joining us as well, which isn't a surprise at all considering these two are close friends and have known each other going back to when Hughes played at Portsmouth and Edwards was one of the first performance analysts there.
  14. 1 career playoff win says it all. Obviously a QB can't win on his own, and there have been seasons where Minnesota's defense has definitely been bad. But when you are paid elite QB money, which he was for his entire stint in Minnesota, he never showed he could carry a team to victory in a way that an elite QB can. I think ESPN said today that since 2016, only 3 QBs have made more money than him. That's insane for the lack of success he delivered to the team.
  15. I know it sucks that he's going to a rival team, but in fairness to Barkley, there's a LOT of reasons for him to go to Philly, before you even count the $12.5m AAV reasons. 1) He grew up in the Lehigh Valley, which is just over an hour away. 2) he also went to Penn State, giving him added ties to PA 3) he's going to the arguably the best run block team in the NFL, even with Kelce retiring 4) he's going from one of the worst run (pun slightly intended) franchises in the NFL to one of the better run franchises 5) the Eagles could easily still be a Super Bowl contender this season if they fix the defense enough 6) the Giants had years to fix their offensive line issues and never could 7) they also had years to sign him to a new contract and wouldn't meet his terms. He's getting a raise from even the franchise tag! New York Giants did Barkley all kinds of wrong, and the Eagles are a great fit for him in just about every way.
  16. Yup!! We just signed Saquon to a 3 year deal. Love this move so much for so many reasons
  17. Doku may have been "playing the ball" but 1) MacAllister clearly touches the ball before Doku, 2) Doku still kicks him in the chest, studs first, 3) "playing the ball" has been shown time and time again to not matter one bit now when determining fouls, penalties, etc. I've also seen a ton of neutrals saying it's a penalty 🤷
  18. I don't know where best to put this, but this was at least worth a chuckle
  19. I definitely agree it didn't cost us the title. I don't think Arsenal are winning out, and fully expect them to wilt under the pressure again to City. It's just so frustrating. So many missed chances and awful decision making in the box by our players. And then to have a clear penalty denied because *Man City* just makes it that much worse. MacAllister very clearly touches the ball first. Doku then kicks him in the chest. And then finally the ball touches Doku. Just cowardice from VAR.
  20. We were by far the better side, and we should have taken our chances. Diaz missed a hat trick of golden opportunities. That said, that was a stonewall penalty and it doesn't surprise me in the least bit the referee and VAR wouldn't give a penalty that late in a match that big, when the team committing the penalty is Manchester City.
  21. Fletcher Cox has retired, as anticipated. Two Philly legends gone 😭
  22. Crystal Palace 2 vs. 1 Luton (Sat 3pm) Wolves 2 vs. 0 Fulham (Sat 3pm) Arsenal 3 vs. 1 Brentford (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Aston Villa 3 vs. 2 Tottenham (Sun 1pm, Sky) Liverpool 2 vs. 2 Man City (Sun 3.45pm, Sky)
  23. It's definitely incredibly confusing to spend £30m, especially with all the FFP/PSR worries, for a 19 year old that the manager has trusted enough to play *checks notes* under 300 minutes in all competitions. Just seems like Newcastle could definitely spend their money a whole lot better.
  24. Kelleher has made multiple top class saves in the opening 20 minutes. He's been so amazing the past month. One of the most in form keepers in the world this past month. Just an amazing keeper. Really hope when we're over in England next month they'll be selling his kit so I can get one for the lady. She adores Kelleher. Also, Darwin Nunez golazo! I love this man, well, probably in the same way she loves Kelleher 🤣
