  1. Happy birthday once again. Have a good one. :)

  2. The dunk on Lebron is kind of weak. Also, good for the Blazers that they got Andre Miller. I really think that's the perfect addition for them. And I bet Boozer will end up in Miami or Chicago. I mean, I personally think the best fit for him would be Golden State, but I don't know if that'll happen. I still think they need to condense their roster just a little bit. Maybe trading Azubuike, Andris Biedrins, and Brendan Wright for Boozer. If something similar does happen, I'll actually be worried about the Warriors next year.
  3. Odom for Buckner? That hardly sounds like a fair trade for Dallas ... Besides, I'm pretty sure Dallas wouldn't want Odom now that they got Marion. Wouldn't really make much sense unless they traded Marion to the Lakers. I'd still obviously prefer to keep Odom, though, and he's a big reason why Artest signed on so I don't know if I can see him leaving this summer.
  4. That'd be a smart move for the Magic to get Brandon Bass. Their bench is looking all sorts of weak right now if they lose Gortat for nothing.
  5. I'm not a fan of the Artest deal at all. I don't want to see some punk like Artest on my team. What's gonna happen when he starts bitching about something or doesn't get along with Kobe? Why mess up the chemistry of the team when you could've easily just re-signed Ariza? He was putting up pretty much the same numbers as Artest, and he was a KEY to the Lakers getting the finals last year, especially because of his steals. I just don't see a need for the Lakers to get any better, especially when they got OLDER because of it. Ariza's still very young and could've been in his prime as Kobe and Gasol got older. Now, you just add another guy that's going to age right along with them. I don't really like it for either team, considering Ariza and Aaron Brooks are now the Rockets best players? Houston's doomed, they might end up with one of the worst records in the league next year..
  6. Look at all the undersized power forwards that were questioned coming in the last few years - Paul Millsap, Glen Davis, Carl Landry, Darrell Arthur... They're all solid contributors for their teams. Dejuan Blair is definitely going to be a good role player for san antonio. He just reminds me of a Jason Maxiell/Glen Davis type and I personally would love to have one of those kinds of players on my team. The Kings should've drafted him instead of Jeff Pendergraph. Considering their only big on the bench is Ike Diogu.. Also, Marquis Daniels could even be a starter if he lands a big contract with a shitty team. You never know if he'll randomly end up in Sacramento or in Minnesota or something.
  7. Haha. You forgot to mention, they'll draft a sure all-star, but will trade him on draft night for an average rookie with not much upside and an average vet that has already hit his peak and can't even contribute to the team as much as he could've three years before. And then, after a few years of total failure, they'll realize that they made some terribe decisions, so they'll trade everyone they got away once again, for draft picks. And basically that same process will keep repeating itself for the next 10-15 years. Note: They'll probably still be trying to deveop Sebastian Telfair as their starting point guard throughout.
  8. Blair's weight shouldn't be that much of an issue, look at big baby in Boston. He's going to be very similar I think. He's never going to be a great NBA player, but he's definitely going to be a solid role player for his career if he can avoid being hurt. There's a shitload of teams that need big men too, I was surprised to see him go that late. If anything, though, I was more surprised that the Kings didn't pick him at 31, and the Pistons didn't pick him at 35. Sam Young, though. Seriously, the Hornets, Mavs, Kings, Wolves, or Knicks should've been all over that. Especially the Wolves. After they had already picked two point guards, why not get a swing man? What's the point of getting Wayne Ellington? Do they really trust Corey Brewer and Ryan Gomes that much? It just doesn't make much sense. Honestly, when you think of what the Woves COULD have ended up with, they didn't really make too much of an upgrade. They could've easily ended up with Ricky Rubio, Stephen Curry, and Sam Young. That's who they should've ended up with. That way they could go with Rubio/Curry/Gomes/Love/Jefferson as ther starting five next season, with Sam Young as their sixth man. But of course, they had to go and be the Wolves. Honestly, they've made some of the worst draft decisions lately. They could've had either Brandon Roy or OJ Mayo right now, who were CLEARLY going to be better NBA players than Randy Foye and Kevin Love. It kind of upsets me how much the Wolves fuck themselves over. In an interview David Kahn was talking about how in 3-4 years this team's going to be a contender, but that's complete bullshit. This team SHOULD be a contender right now, if it wasn't for their shitty decision making and their inability to hire a successful coach since Flip Saunders left. It just bothers me that some teams just make such terrible decisions. The Suns are starting to become just as annoying. I wonder if they can come back next year with an entirely new roster.
  9. By hearing David Kahn talking about the possibility of Rubio and Flynn in the backcourt, I was actually starting to kind of like that pick, those guys actually might be able to play well together. Although Stephen Curry would've probably been a better pick for them. Either way, they knew Rubio wanted to know for sure that he would be a starting point guard in the NBA, and picking Jonny Flynn right behind him certainly doesn't re-assure him of anything. So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised now if the Wolves lost Rubio before the season started. Also, how the fuck did Sam Young and Dejuan Blair not get drafted until 36 and 37? Especially Sam Young, the Grizzlies got a huge steal in him, much like they did last year late in the first round with Darrell Arthur. And Dejuan Blair was pretty much exactly was San Antonio needed right now. You can't let a championship caliber team partially fill one of its only needs through the second round of the draft. AND they even got Jack McClinton with the 51st pick. How come the Spurs always have to come up with these late first and second round picks that'll most likely turn out to be solid pros?
  10. That would be a solution to the Warrior's over-flowing roster of talent. At least maybe Brendan Wright and Belinelli will actually get playing time in Phoenix.
  11. I like the move for the Magic a lot actually. Not so much for the Nets, unless they get another big name at the three or four spot. Either way, what the Magic really needed last year was a closer, a guy they could hand the ball to late in games to make big shots. And even though Turkoglu did a pretty good job at that, he missed a lot more big shots than he made. Vince Carter is going to be a nice clutch scorer for Orlando, and Pietrus proved he can definitely start at small forward. Nelson/Carter/Pietrus/Lewis/Howard definitely sounds like a solid starting five to me.
  12. 2K is usually better by miles. Unless the review tell me that NBA Live is suddenly the better game to buy, I'm going to stick with 2K. If anything, I'd consider buying both, but I wouldn't just buy Live simply because of how disappointing it has been over the past few years.
  13. Darko's not completely terrible. He's a bust for being the second overall pick ahead of Wade, Melo, and Bosh. But still, the guy's got a solid mid-range game for a big man and he's an above average shot blocker, and that was the biggest need for the Knicks last year. I actually like that deal for them. Also, beautiful move on the part of the Hawks. With a point guard heavy draft, they can easily draft another backup PG to replace Acie Law. And now they'll finally have a consistant scorer off the bench who can stretch the defense with his range in Jamal Crawford. Especially considering Flip Murray is likely not going to stay, this is a great move for them.
  14. In all fairness, Oden hasn't really had enough time to truly be called a bust yet. Although it definitely seems to be heading in that direction, he's still pretty young. The Blazers's best shot to do something is next season, and they still have a lot of salary cap I believe so they'll be able to re-sign a lot of their players when their contracts expire (if they do well next season). Not all, but at least the key parts like Roy, Aldridge and Fernandez. And the rumor is that Bowen is NOT going to return to San Antonio because of his diminished role with the team.
  15. At least this leaves room for an animated movie to be nominated, probably Up. I was pretty disappointed that Wall-E didn't make it last year.
