  1. O'Briain is a really good choice for main host IMO - he'll bring a lot of enthusiasm. I assume Scanlon will fit into the Philippa Forester/Jayne Middlemiss role of backstage interview/pit reporter - not familiar with her work but I've heard good things. I'm happy Jonathan Pearce is back as the commentator too; he was sometimes the best part of the show back in the day
  2. If you want it that badly just set it up yourself. It's not that hard
  3. One of Vettel's standout moments for me last season was during one of the post-race interviews. Rosberg had won I think, Vettel was 2nd & Hamilton 3rd. Hamilton clearly didn't want to say much of anything. Just as they're about to wrap the interview up with all three guys Vettel blurts out "I'm happy!", which made me laugh a lot harder than it probably should have. Doesn't exactly hurt that he's a phenomenally good racing driver too
  4. Assuming this is a continuation of the cut-down data that was released back in November of last year, a lot of the 'fat' was cut out (relationships, retired wrestlers, wrestlers who were deemed irrelevant etc.), which sped up loading times considerably. I'd check myself but I haven't found time to play around with EWR again at present

    Doctor Who

    Regarding this week's big spoiler:

    Doctor Who

Kudos to Mark Gatiss for trying something totally new (in the context of Dr Who anyway). I'm not sure if it worked or not (I need to watch again later to form a fair opinion but that closing scene was really creepy and makes me thing we might be getting a sequel next year exploring the aftermath of how this story played out. Clara being 'infected' by the sleep dust might be how her exit from the show comes about, but I have a funny feeling that it'll be more complex than that
  7. You can't spell "ignorance" without "IGN". Fuck them for briefly getting my hopes up
  8. Man, what horrible news to wake up to. Iwata was a very personable man & the perfect choice to lead Nintendo, but what people forget is that he was also a fantastic programmer. He recoded Earthbound pretty much from the ground up, without which the game probably wouldn't have even been released, much less become the cult favourite it is today. He wrote the battle system for Pokemon Stadium on the N64, converting it from the Game Boy by hand. Most impressive of all, it was Satoru Iwata who invented a way of compressing data so efficiently that they were able to include both Kanto & Johto on the Pokemon Gold/Silver cartridges (something Game Freak hadn't originally planned). We've lost a true leading light in the video game world today. I see people online saying about how "we'll never see a CEO like Iwata again". I seriously hope that isn't the case I'll leave the last word to Mr Iwata himself: "On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer."
  9. Admittedly I didn't actually see the Japan game live, so I was reliant on press reports & what others told me. If Japan played better than I made it sound then my mistake. Maybe England won't have such an easy path to the final if they beat Canada after all
