  1. I am wondering whether the "owner preferences" of the various Japanese touring promotions have ever been discovered, since that would be useful when creating a scenario that keeps a logic when playing out during a medium/long period of time. I guess both Battlarts and PRIDE prefer workers with "shooting" ticked, but what are the requirements of all the others? Thanks very much in advance for any answer.
  2. Thank you, I just skimmed through it and I found mine is more detailed -not necessary better or more accurate. Anyway, I will compare the two and try to improve where mine is lacking.
  3. Oh crap, my bad! I thought the letters needed to be either the same or less, not exactly the same.
  4. Your mod lacks compatibility with every update and scenario, so if you want someone to enjoy it, you should only fix gimnick errors and alter them only slighting and to further their scope. So: Bad Ass -> Fantasy: Wrong. BFG -> Emo: Wrong. Clown -> Child: Wrong. Coach -> Rowdy: Wrong. Cockly -> Drunk: Wrong. Comedian -> DJ: Wrong. Country Singer -> Attorney: Wrong. Dealer -> Sadist: Wrong. Evil Clown -> Evil Clone: Wrong. Evil Dentist -> Troubled Man: Wrong. Evil Dentist -> Evil Doctor: Might be good. Evil Knight -> Art is Life: Wrong. Evil Pimp -> New Money: Wrong. Evil Preacher -> Fake face: Wrong. Evolution -> Knock-Off: Wrong. Fun Drunk -> Animal: Wrong. Glam Rocker -> High Energy: Wrong. Gothic -> Masked: Wrong. Postal Worker -> Faith Beliefs: Wrong. Pretentious Artist -> Muscled-Up Egotist: Wrong. Putz -> Vile: Wrong. Racist -> Coarse: Wrong. Rasta -> Irish: Wrong. Religious Zealot -> 'Mature' Villain: Wrong. Slob -> Jerk: Wrong. Suave -> Clown: Wrong Sucka -> Power: Wrong. Sumo -> Fuji: Wrong, beacause it must be heavyweight. Requirements make this gimnick wrong, no matter the name. That 80's Guy -> Fashion Model: Wrong. The Ryland Effect -> Self Hype Machine: Wrong. Trash -> Giant: Wrong. Troublemaker -> Cheer Leader: Wrong. Weirdo -> Shrink: Wrong. White Witch -> Feisty Girl: Wrong. Violent Drunk -> No Boundaries: Wrong. Braveheart - U.K. Charm: Wrong. Bumbling Englishman - U.K. Sports Athlete: Wrong. Chameleon - All Style: Right. Cheerleader - Girl Friend: Wrong. Daddy's Girl - Spoiled Girl: Right. Demon - Beast: Wrong. Evil Referee - Crooked Ref: Right Family Guy - Generation: Right. Foreign Royalty - Snobby European: Right. Hired Gun - Hench Man: Indifferent. Inspirational Leader - Leader of the People: Indifferent. Thief - Cocky: Wrong. Triad - Ninja: Wrong. Whole Damn Show - Smug High Flyer: Right. Gangsta - Monster: Wrong. Geek - Sumo: Wrong. Ice Man - Mountie: Wrong. Knight - Mentor: Wrong. Monster - Bad Ass: Wrong. Mountie - Redneck: Wrong. Nerd - Putz: Wrong. Occult - Gothic: Might be. Pirate - Savage: Wrong. Redneck - Gangsta: Wrong. Savage - Pirate: Wrong. My suggestions: Evil Dentist -> Evil Doctor. Foreign Star -> Foreigner Grizzled Veteran -> Veteran. Manic Depressive -> Emo. Mountie -> Whatever. Prima donna -> Vain. Ryland Effect -> Lucky Bastard?
  5. I did not know there already were an improved 2001 scenario. Is this still available for download? If that's the case, I will surely compare mine with this and make some adjustments for future versions.
  6. IMO Collyer does not definitively have superstar look. I will tick shooting to all amateur wrestlers then, you were right about it. @kdcastles: I do not know when I will upload the next version (I will wait for other suggestions to come and entering all the corrections is time-consuming), but the beta-version in the first post is at least better than the default 2001 scenario.
  7. Thank you for examining my scenario: if you have other suggestions, they are always welcome. Charisma: I'm trying to put as less 100 as I can and put only rating ending in 0 or 5 (as it seems actually difficult to distinguish between an 81 and an 83), so -basing on your suggestions- will these corrections work? Vince McMahon, The Rock and Steve Austin 100; Chris Jericho and Mick Foley 95; Raven and Kurt Angle 90. Brawling: I gave Tanaka and Awesome higher values because of their aptitude to hardcore, which the others more or less lack. In general, I gave statistics and qualities basing on assumptions clarified here and here. Waiting for any meaningful responses to those questions, I will not alter them significantly. This does not mean I am disregarding your suggestions, but I'm only waiting to know how statistics properly works or other suggestions consistent with yours. I read on wikipedia (not the best source, but the first coming to my mind) that the Bossman was assigned as a trainer to OVW just before being released in 2003; so the trainer tick could stay. Altered Snow's attitude, behaviour and wage; to me, he does not deserve such a huge bump in tech (but I can give a low 60s rating). Altered Albert's brawl, speed, tech, selling and wage. Added Dragon's birth date and lowered his overness and wage. Edited Bossman according to your suggestions (except for the trainer tick). Edited Big Show, except for Charisma: I don't think he deserves an increase. Edited Billy Gunn, except for brawling and charisma. Edited Bradshaw according to your suggestions. Edited Brian Kendrick. Edited Brock Lesnar, save from shootfight; or does amateur wrestling count as shooting? Edited Bubba Ray, but I think he deserves more than 25g, doesn't he? Edited Bull Buchanan, except from brawl. Edited Collyer, but does he really deserve superstar look? Btw, the wage guide is awesome. In the making of the next version, I will adjust them according to that.
  8. Thank you very much for the appreciation! If you have any comment or concern, please post here. I am looking for more accurate TV data, because I'm not american so it's very difficult to judge if the default one are good or not.
  9. I've just downloaded and I appreciate your effort in adding variety to the game. To the specifics: BFG -> Emo: Here I see the worker must be Heavyweight and not heel. Any reason to bind Emo to these limits? Clown -> Child: I find it a bit useless if you cannot employ a proper child. Comedian -> Radio DJ: Personally, I prefer comedian, also because I don't think radio djs need high charisma. Country Singer -> Legal Attorney: Worker must be american, so no foreign lawyers? Dealer -> Sadist: I don't think sadist is as risky as drug dealer. Evil Knight -> Art Is Life: Worker must be male but I can imagine females with this gimnick. Evil Pimp -> New Money: High risk and only male do not match exactly with the gimnick. Evil Preacher -> Fake Babyface: I don't see why at least 40% risk to have a fake babyface. Evolution -> Knock-Off: Sorry, my primary languages is not English. What does knock-off mean? Fun Drunk -> 'Animal': Risky and not heel, non perfect for the gimnick, which I found a bit useless afterall. Junkie -> Robber: Robber is not as risky as junkie in my opinion. Lawyer -> Snitch: What's a snitch? Lumberjack -> Pretty Boy: Why only american or canadian? Man Beast -> Primitive: A bit useless I think. Man in Black -> Jive Brother: Why the need for superstar look? Manic Depressive -> Past Their Prime: Why not face? And isn't it almost the same as grizzled veteran? Ninja -> Gypsy: Is so frequent the gypsy gimnick? Postal Worker -> Faith Beliefs: I'd assign it a minimum risk. Racist -> Coarse: Is there a need for this gimnick? Rasta -> Irish: Why limit it only to men? I'd let rasta alone and rename pacifist irish. Religious Zealot -> 'Mature' Villain: I don't catch the L&O innuendo. Slob -> Jerk: What's a slob and what's a jerk? Suave -> Clown: Why clown not be menacing? That 80's Guy -> Fashion Model: Why not face? The Ryland Effect -> Self Hype Machine: Why not heel? Trash -> Giant: Yes, but I think menacing should be a must. White Witch -> Feisty Girl: What's a feisty girl? Violent Drunk -> No Boundaries: Is not the same as man on a mission? Demon - Beast: Why the risk requirement? Hired Gun - Hench Man: I'd let it alone. Triad - Ninja: Why the risk and nationality requirements? Gangsta - Monster: Why the risk requirement? Knight - Mentor: Why male and not heel? Redneck - Gangsta: Why only american?
  10. Hello everyone! Last year I got back playing EWR and I tried the 2001 scenario. As you know better than me, the pre-2003 data are not that good; so, I started to make a new 2001 version, which you can find here. It is a bit minimalist version, especially in the relationship, tag team and alter ego fields; the former because I think they are often abused (relationships have a huge impact on morale and tag team experience can hugely improve match ratings), and the latter because I could not trace all them. Now, if you will please try this scenario and write here all your impressions and advice, it would be awesome!
  11. I think this scenario rocks! Finally a playable version of a pre-2003 year. Btw, Ty, I am a moderator in an italian EWR/TEW fan forum and we host some updates or scenario, so I think it would be great if I could share this awesomeness with them. Can I put the link to your work in our scenario section, provided I fully credit you as the author?
