  1. I thought that Prince Lorenzo would go because he doesn't really have much of an established fanbase like the others do. I'm glad though, I like him and hope he can build on it. Although they'll all nominate him now thinking he's an easy eviction. I was enjoying this series but I'm losing interest now, probably because the last proper series was so good.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REC_(film) Spanish subtitled zombie films. I think the first one was remade in English as 'Quarantine' which is supposed to suck but I haven't seen it so can't say. Has a nice 'twist' too which I really liked.
  3. George Mason and Ryan Chapelle from 24. I'm only midway through Day 4 but they were great characters, particularly Mason. And Ben Linus is a good shout too. And if you're counting wrestling, I always was rooting against The Rock.
  4. Anyone caught the second Expendables film yet? I really enjoyed it, much more than the first. Having expanded roles for Arnie and John McClane was the best move they made, Arnie steals the scene in every one he's in. "I'll be back!" "Oh no, you've been back enough!" "[sighs] yippee-ki-ay..." being a favourite interaction. Just a balls-to-the-wall action film that doesn't let up. Thought they couldn't top Jet Li axe kicking somes head off? How about Also caught the Keith Lemon film today. Absolutely shocking and validates my opinion that he's only bearable for half an hour every few months. I guess The Inbetweeners movie has kinda opened the door for movies like this though. My girlfriend actually walked out to go shopping in Asda rather than see it through. Hoping to see Bourne and The Watch over the next few days too.
  5. Sci-fi film. - Not a huge sci-fi fan, but I really liked Prometheus this year. War film. - Saving Private Ryan. There isn't really another pick. Romance film. - Hmm. I've seen dozens of romances over the years and while there's been some good ones I'd struggle to think of one I'd call a best in the genre. So I'll bottle it and use Beauty and the Beast too. Zombie film. - The REC films I really liked. Although the new one looks as though it's going to shit all over the franchise. Japanese/Japanese style horror film. - Haha, my Japanese film experience is more or less limited to the violent or anime DVDs my brother used to bring home. So on that basis I'd have to pick from Death Note, Ichi the Killer or Battle Royale or Porco Rosso (if that's even Japanese) Horror film. - Paranormal Activity 1. Possibly the best cinema experience I've ever had. Vampire film. - I'm not a massive fan of the genre truth be told, but if I had to pick one, Blade 2 is the one that comes to mind. Comedy film. - This changes regularly but Dumb and Dumber and the Big Lebowski are usually the two frontrunners. Western film. - Not a genre I've had a ton of experience with, but I rented the True Grit remake a while back and really liked it. Black comedy film. - Evil Dead maybe? Its the sort of genre where the films don't roll off the tongue. And it just sprang to mind but Killer Joe is well worth a watch. Brainless action film. - Really hard to pick without a great deal of thought, but I caught the Expendables sequel a few days ago and thought it was excellent. Dramatic film. - Leon. Obviously has a lot of action in it, but its the dramatic scenes that stick with me. Dead Mans Shoes and Road to Perdition are close runners up. Caper/Comedy drama film. - Toy Story 1/3. I think they fit that description.
  6. I dont think you can blame either fighter. Everyone of them is out for what they can get. Hendo obviously can't fight, Sonnen is trying to create something out of nothing and Jones is fastly becoming one of the biggest stars in combat sports. He's not going to risk everything he has going for him. Not to mention for every fighter on Twitter saying he should take the fight, there's someone in his camp/or making money out of him telling him it's not worth it. For me the blame can only be placed with the UFC. They insisted on running 45 events a year or whatever it is and this is the consequence. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. It sucks for the lower card fighters but they should be questioning the company. Why don't they have a back up plan? Why can't they rearrange other fights? I've been a fan of the UFC since the 90's and seen the cards be spread thinner and thinner and thinner. And to go back to Jon Jones. The guy has already done a lot for the UFC in my eyes. He's been one of the most active fighters, let alone champions, in the history of the company. Some of his turnaround times are unreal. Plus Hendersons one hell of a tough customer, Jones has probably been putting together a tight gameplan that'll be useless in a fight with Sonnen, who's always dangerous.

I thought it was weak. Mark Wahlberg had all the best laughs for me and they seemed to ruin it by putting the shitty Family Guy pop culture references in it - the worst part of any comedy. Like the bit where Wahlberg punches the fat kid (which is always funny) and instead of leaving it for a laugh they add something about Joan Crawford(?) on the end. So yeah I didn't think it was awful, but there's been better comedies in the last year.
  8. Having just finished Revelations I'm quite looking forward to this. Storyline wise I think it was necessary for them to bring it forward in time as the main Desmond storyline is set in so if they wanted to get to America they had to do it now as they were running out of time plotwise. That said it'll no way be the last game. They'll tie up the Desmond story arc with this game (and maybe a spin off or two, like Brotherhood and Revelations) but I think they can easily move on. They'll just run with a continuation of the Assassins/Templars feud, trying to rule the world in the aftermath. I hope they make some more anyway, my interest piqued when there were rumours of Victorian England. And maybe they'll kill Desmond off too. I'll have to give it a few months before picking AC3 up though. The structure is far too repetitive to play them back-to-back. A bit like Zelda games.
  9. Anyone having problems redeeming points codes or subscriptions? I've been trying to get the Undisputed 3 season pass all day but I get an error code whenever I try to get my points.
  10. I'm playing on advanced now and just about holding off submission attempts. It's definitely linked to your stamina as well as your submisson skills. The two tricks I find against AI is to feint going the other way three times, which should swing with enough momentum to escape, and the AI nearly always feints one way then the other before coming after you. Momentum on the bar seems to be the most important part. My careers going okay. Playing as Kenji 'The Kid' Sasaki, a Japanese welterweight all-rounder with preferences in ground and pound and in-the-pocket boxing. Right now I'm 13-1 with my biggest win coming over Matt Hughes on a PPV undercard. That was actually my last fight. In the WFA I cruised to the title, picking up a KO of the year award. I made sure I fought everyone else in the division first to boost my stats after hearing how tough the leap to the UFC is. Sadly, that meant that after I won the belt all I was offered were rematches, with the majority of guys coming off a loss. I took one fight to defend the belt, then went to the UFC 10-0. Thought I'd get some tune-ups to adapt but no, first fight was a live UFN main event against Dan Hardy. I got exposed there, dropped three times and then finished in the first round. He was just stronger and faster to the point where he could see everything I did to block it, and get off with strikes before I could do anything about it. Then I went back down to the undercard, was probably losing to Luis something, but stole a 3rd round KO. I've just taken back to back decisions (for the first time in well, the game) against a British boxer on UFN and Matt Hughes on PPV. It was a tight 29-28 across the board, but I was able to dominate the striking, I just had to be ultra-defensive on the mat. They just offered my St.Pierre () but I've opted to rematch with that Luis guy who was beating me soundly till the KO. I've figured out my likely career path. Take on the local guys to build up my stats, occasionally fighting some legit UFC'ers, cherry picking guys without KO power. Then when I'm ready, avenge the Hardy fight before running for the belt. Or...get bored a few fights in and take on the contenders all the time. Plus I haven't even thought about PRIDE.
  11. This game is excellent. Probably my favourite game in the sports genre since PES went to shit. Everything just feels more organic and like less of a tech demo than the previous two games. PRIDE mode is so much fun too. I had a great scrap in the featherweight division as José Aldo vs. Manny Gamburyan. I specifially picked him, assuming the striking/grappling disparity would allow me to practice getting back up and takedown defence. Instead he shocked me by standing, badly cutting me in the opening seconds then mixing up his offence. I came back and, judging by the amount of blood, broke his nose towards the end of the first. Managed to KO him in the second as what should have been a routine fight became a war. Can't wait to TKO someone using a leg kick check. Online has been a mixed bag for me. The first few fights were either against people spamming the head kick or guys who quit as soon as you got any kind of advantage or nullified their offence. Plus the amount of CAF's I've encountered who's repetoire of spinning kicks and backfists puts Jon Jones to shame is staggering. Eventually I found a guy who was about my skill level and didn't just pick the 90+ fighters and we had a great five fight series which I won 3-2. I've no idea what fight camp entails but could someone shoot me an invite for the 360 version? If it means I can have some exhibitions with some similar minded people I'm up for it. Plus I haven't been on Live for long so it'd be cool to find a group to play with regularly. Gamertag is K Dawwwg90.
  12. My save is nearly 7MB and it's not unplayable. There's a bit of lag in the big cities which is definitely annoying and noticeable, but nothing gamebreaking. I also question whether it's a bug that can be fixed or just a case of the game having to keep track of so many things, ie. my 10 active main quests and 40 active sub quests. Also, I just had a dragon appear over Kyne-something (near Windhelm). It circled the village for a few minutes while people screamed then flew away over a mountain. Very annoying because I've done a ton of dungeon crawling and so have a lot of potential shouts, but only had two dragon souls so far; main quest and a random encounter.
  13. Anyone know how the enemy levelling system works in Skyrim? I know Oblivion used that parallel levelling system but it seems different in this one. For example, I steamrolled the first ten or so hours with ease, then hit a patch where anyone with a two handed weapon or decent spell could kill me in one hit. Now I'm through that and battles seem to be easy to medium in difficulty. Fought my second dragon when a blood dragon attacked Falkreath. Used it's soul to unlock the fire breath, which is a hundred times better than the starting power. One of my favourite quests so far has to be... Oh, and fuck Master Vampires. Their health drain magic is insane.
  14. Really? I'm sure I got Cruz vs. Johnson off Premier Sports and it worked? I may be wrong though.
  15. Yeah I've just set it to record. Very excited for the fight. My brother's favouring Cain but I won't be surprised to wake up tomorrow and see JDS as champion.
