  1. Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner being locked to My Faction mode (as well as several other cool alternative versions of certain wrestlers) is such bullshit.
  2. "The Flame" side quest spoilers: Ending spoilers and several nitpicks:
  3. You can upgrade your standard version of the original Spider Man to the Remastered version for 10 bucks right now. Edit: Apparently this has been a thing since May. I completely missed it.
  4. With the patch installed, we're up to 86 gigs. Still nowhere near as big as I expected this to be.
  5. I'm still waiting for the day-1 patch to finish downloading. But I'm surprised how small this is at 83gb. Jedi Survivor was 150 gigs and God Of War Ragnarok was about 190 gigs.
  6. So the first season of Ashoka is in the books. And what an amazing season it was. As someone who never watched Clone Wars (neither the CG version or the traditionally animated one) or Rebels, I was afraid that I would be totally lost. But I have to say that they did a great job of telling a story and introducing these characters that didn't make me feel left out at all.
  7. Epic Games has sold Bandcamp to Songtradr, an online music licensing marketplace: https://www.billboard.com/pro/epic-games-sells-bandcamp-songtradr/
  8. The Irish veteran film and stage actor who is best known to modern audiences for taking over the role of Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies from Richard Harris, has died at the age of 82. https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2023/sep/28/michael-gambon-star-of-harry-potter-and-the-singing-detective-dies-aged-82
  9. Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson will finally release his highly anticipated next solo album in early 2024! It is called 'The Mandrake Project' and is another collaboration with producer and guitarist Roy Z.: https://blabbermouth.net/news/iron-maidens-bruce-dickinson-announces-new-solo-album-the-mandrake-project
  10. So apparently Blue Ridge Rock Fest 2023 was a bit of a mess. And not just because of the weather. This is a insightful video by Tank The Tech, who was tour manager for Electric Callboy's recent US tour, about his experience working behind the scene at the festival:
  11. He passes away at age 56. He was put in hospice care after progressing to the final stage of liver failure. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/steve-harwell-smash-mouth-singer-dead-obituary-1234817636/
  12. According to TMZ, former Smash Mouth singer Steve Harwell is in the final stage of liver failure and has only days to live: https://www.tmz.com/2023/09/03/smash-mouth-steve-harwell-death-bed-days-to-live/ Edit: Smash Mouth's manager confirmed that Harwell is in hospice care: https://edition.cnn.com/2023/09/03/entertainment/steve-harwell-smash-mouth-hospice/index.htmlSm
  13. I feel like the story of Part 2 might work a bit better for me as a TV show since in that medium there is more of a disconnect between me and the characters and so the gut-punches that Gross and Druckmann deal out will probably be a bit easier to swallow.
  14. So i finally sat down and replayed the game after 3 years and as it turns out, my opinion about it hasn't changed one iota. I still don't enjoy the game I do plan on playing Part III whenever that will be released though.
  15. Marsden was the original guitarist of Whitesnake and appeared on every album from Trouble (1978) to Saints & Sinners (1982). He co-wrote the classic Here I Go Again with David Coverdale. The song would go on to become a worlwide hit in 1987 when the band re-recorded it for their multi-platinum self-titled album. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/aug/25/whitesnake-guitarist-bernie-marsden-dead
  16. So morbid curiosity (and nostalgia for Michael Keaton Batman) got the better of me and I saw The Flash. I thought it was actually pretty decent for what it was.
  17. Secret Invasion started out strong and got worse with each episode. That finale was garbage.
  18. They are already working on spin-offs. There is a prequel mini series premiering in September about the Continental hotel and a young Winston that is also starring Mel Gibson of all people and a spin-off movie set between John Wick 3 and 4 about one of those Ballerina assassins they introduced in part 3. You better believe that they'll try to milk this franchise for all that it is worth.
  19. And I thought 150 GB for Jedi Survivor was bad. This is really getting out of hand. Fuck people with slow internet and data caps I guess.
  20. Ironically, the writer of the Jurassic World trilogy and also director of 2 out of 3 of those movies later said himself that there never should have been any sequels to the original Jurassic Park.
  21. And if Vin Diesel has his way, we're going to get two more. But seeing as Part 10 underperformed (it mate about 700 Million but it is estimated that it needed to make between 800 and 850 Million to turn a profit), that will probably not happen.
  22. The only buzz I've seen surrounding Secret Invasion was the intense backlash against the AI-created opening credit sequence. I watched the first episode. It was a fine set-up for the rest of the series. I'll keep watching it although I'm certain they won't be able to stick the landing yet again.
  23. If you enjoyed the previous movies, you should probably give John Wick 4 a chance. I promise it won't just be another entry in the series that sets up the next one.
