  1. Also two Halls, two Nashs and two Hogans.
  2. It is the one they can't can it because apparently it is their vehicle for rebooting the DCEU. I'm split on this. On one hand the trailer looks good, on the other hand Ezra Miller.
  3. This looks amazing! Also: Rainbow in a marvel movie! And the Graham Bonnet-fronted version too!
  4. Thanks for the reminder. I had already forgotten about that.
  5. My favorite Pokemon rumor involved the SS Anne. You were supposed to wait an ungodly amount of time and would eventually receive some kind of message that the SS Anne has sunken like in the anime. That is supposed to make the harbor of Vermilion City accessible again. You go there, surf across the water to that strip of land in the top-right corner of the screen where a truck is parked. You use strength to move the truck which triggers Mew to appear. Edit: Another Pokemon rumor I just remembered is that you were supposed to press up and B, down and B or just mash the B button to when trying to catch a Pokemon to improve your chances of it staying inside the Pokeball. I also remembered a GTA San Andreas one. There was supposed to be a secret Alcatraz-like prison island north of the main map that you could reach with your plain if you flew north for like an hour or so. I think that rumor stems from the fact that these used to be an Alcatraz island in the Beta version of the game that ended up getting removed. Edit 2: There was also the whole Lavender Town Syndrome for the first generation of Pokemon games. Allegedly a bunch of Japanese kids committed suicide because they were affected by the original piece of music that plays in Lavender Town in the Japanese versions of the first generation of games and they had to chance that piece of music for the western release.
  6. What do y'all think about the Velma show? What fascinates me about the backlash is how much people suddenly seem to care deeply about Scooby Doo. Judging by the reactions, you'd think that it was this beloved, high prestige franchise and every new iteration is a celebrated masterpiece that now has been ruined by Velma and not a franchise that has been notoriously inconsistent and mainly serves as a source for direct-to-DVD drivel in recent years (there have been 19 direct-to-dvd movies since 2013). I'm not saying the new show good. It is quite terrible. But at the end of the day, It is just another bad entry for the Scooby Doo franchise. It's not the first and it probably won't be the last. It is not worth being outraged about. I do feel bad for Mindy Kaling though who gets all the blame for the show even though she doesn't appear to be at all involved with the creative side of things.
  7. Given his Parkinson's diagnoses that he revealed to the public last year, it is probably for the best.
  8. At the very least Kurt Angle is back. I hope they put a bit more effort into his model (particularly his face) this time around.
  9. David Crosby of Crosby, Stills & Nash and the Byrds passed away today at age 81. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/jan/19/legendary-us-musician-david-crosby-dies-aged-81
  10. New year, new thread. After 21 years since the release of Up, we're finally getting a new Peter Gabriel studio album made up of original material this year. Unfortunately though, the songs that make up the new album "i/o" will be released over the span of this year with a new song dropping each full moon to match the lunar cycle. The first single is called Panopticom:
  11. But from what I understand, they don't have a PS5 yet. So I though instead of waiting until they get their hands on one, they might as well play the remaster now.
  12. You don't have to buy the remake. The PS4 remaster still holds up if you ask me.
  13. So far, It appears to be a very faithful adaptation of the first game with some small additions to the story that wouldn't feel out of place in the game. So it depends on how you feel about spoilers. If knowing how the story goes beforehand can ruin a game for you, you'll probably want to skip the show for now, play the game and then come back to the show later. An added bonus of that approach is that you'll get to binge a few episodes or even the entire series depending on when you get around to playing the game.
  14. That was pretty damn good. Let's hope that they don't fuck it up. And @Bobfoc makes a good point. The story of TloU 2 will probably work much better on TV than it did in the game. I'm actually looking forward to seeing that.
  15. I hope you're right. They really need to get going on the overarching Kang the Conqueror stuff. The last phase felt almost completely aimless. They need something to work toward.
  16. Steven Tyler of Aerosmith has been sued for sexual assault of a minor back in the 70s. This was made possible by the state of California temporarily waiving statutes of limitations for childhood sexual abuse crimes: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/steven-tyler-sexual-assault-minor-lawsuit-1234653817/
  17. Glass Onion is awesome! Definitely watch it!
  18. Word of advise for anyone playing on PS4 (I assume it is the same for other last-gen consoles as well): Take the time to create a 2K account to enable cross-platform community creations. You won't get a lot of the good caws otherwise.
  19. Metallica will release their new album "72 Seasons" on April 14th. Tracklist: 01. 72 Seasons 02. Shadows Follow 03. Screaming Suicide 04. Sleepwalk My Life Away 05. You Must Burn! 06. Lux Æterna 07. Crown Of Barbed Wire 08. Chasing Light 09. If Darkness Had A Son 10. Too Far Gone? 11. Room Of Mirrors 12. Inamorata Musicvideo for "Lux Æterna":

    Cover Songs

I've always enjoyed Metallica's version of Whiskey In The Jar more than any other version of that song (including the Thin Lizzy version): "Quinn the Eskimo (Mighty Quinn)" is another song where I prefer the cover version. But not the one from Manfred Mann, but the one by Swiss Hard Rock band Gotthard from 1996: And I've always preferred Motörhead's take on "God Save The Queen" over the Sex Pistol's version:
  21. No community creations would be a dealbreaker for me. We already know that there will be some big names missing from the game. And I have neither the patience or the skill to sit down and create good-looking custom wrestler myself nor am I willing to go back to searching the internet for formulas.
  22. Have they revealed whether this game will have community creations or not?
