Yeah so I too completely disagreed with the idea of Paulie betraying Tony but then I decided to do a bit of research to see if there was much of a consensus and now I’m not so sure. There’s so much fan theory stuff out there about The Sopranos, and after I completed my first watch through in 2014 I read a LOT of it, but I don’t recall every reading anything about Paulie betraying Tony. It’s quite compelling. I haven’t had my own theories challenged in such a way since David Chase revealed last year that Tony did actually die in the final episode.

I can’t open any gifts (you guys are too kind) atm cos after buying more storage I’m almost near full again (950) with no gifts of my own, so I’ve deleted some items and then I’m gonna try and stockpile a load over the coming days to be able to start sending back. Also - shiny Eeveelutions this weekend Umbreon is pretty cool, as per. Espeon looks like an alien.

I need this! Half way to 500k atm. Also, I finally have enough Swablu candy to get an Altaria 😎 managed to amass 70 candies over the course of a few days and then for the last 6 I needed I got a Swablu in an egg... although I’m scared to evolve just yet incase it forms part of a future special research task after the current Mew one 😒

I really do hope that they implement distance training cos there’s not much hope for me otherwise. Besides, how are people in the states meant to get Mr Mime or people in the U.K. meant to get Tauros unless they either go on holiday or know someone else who has Opened a pile of gifts today and hoping I manage to actually get someone myself to send back. Think I became good friends with two people today also. Just wish I had of had a lucky egg active to get 20k each time instead of 10 😭

And again tonight with someone else, another 20k 🤩 Managed to get out tonight so sent a few gifts through. Don’t seem to have got any XP for them tho, do you only get it when the gift is opened?

I always go anti clockwise. Might have to try it the other way. Got an “Upgrade” item for a 7 day Pokestop streak tonight so was able to evolve a Porygon finally 🤗 also became a great friend of someone on here, can’t remember the username now, but it got me 20k XP and considering I’m on the road to 500k here I need all the help I can get. I’m fresh out of gifts and haven’t been able to actually venture very far the last few days to get some, and the few stops I’ve visited haven’t given me any, so whatever I sent yesterday was my last, plus my items have been constantly full also which doesn’t help. Actually had to delete some Pokeballs to open all the gifts I had pending - because I’m definitely not buying any more storage at the minute, 800 is enough.

“Three great curveball throws in a row” I think I got one time. I actually watched a YouTube video for tips but quickly decided it wasn’t for me.

Like Wailmer, Mr Mime and others more wild Ursaring would be good for the research tasks that require nice/great throws (especially in a row) and/or curveballs.

I’ll be honest and say I did feel a little bit of shame when I started going out to public places but when I saw people double my age and whole families (including grandparents) all out doing the same I stopped worrying about it. Still waiting for someone to make some sort of similar remark to me at some stage tho. That’s how I got mine too. As soon as I hatched an Alolan Vulpix and got like 30 off candies I evolved it straight away!

Alolan Ninetails is so much cooler than the normal Ninetails. Same with Sandslash also. The Dugtrio is just weirdly random. 😂 Were these egg hatches or encounters? I happened across a Ursaring a few days ago, not the sort of Pokémon I’d usually expect to find in the wild.

Considering what my job is I’m incredibly socially awkward when it comes to this sort of thing. The past few occasions, one of them being today, I just latched onto a group of 7 other people and didn’t actually speak to any of them - I just followed them about. Yesterday with the EX raid, I went to the particular gym and there must have been 20/30 people there. I walked up, entered the public battle and within second a girl was calling out my trainer name and came over to give me the private group code - I think I said hi and that was it. It doesn’t help that I don’t have Facebook and can’t actually engage with anyone outside of the actual community days or raid events.

You can use the options in the advanced section to narrow down the range of IVs. Was hoping for a shiney today also. 😞

2 out of 4 for me. Raging 😒 although with those 4 raids I’m just ~10k XP off level 30 now. Caught a shit load of Swablus today as well combined with pinap berries. Up to 240 candies or so now.

I’ve been building up pinap berries over the last while due to running out during the Squirtle community day, so I once I get a good few more I might concentrate on harvesting Swablu candies. I do tend to see quite a few of them along a particular path nearby. Think I might head out for this Zapdos event tomorrow. Got a few when they were on the research tasks but much like you I need some candies to power them up! In other news: First legendary 🤩 I powered it up hence no candies left. Got it on the very last ball.

Hoping to get my first legendary today! I’ve got nearly 500 Magikarp candies at the minute and am patiently waiting for the next stage where I can actually evolve it. It’s like torture considering what you have to go through to get that many candies. Talking of Pokemon that require a lot of candies to evolve them... how did you end up with an Altaria Good luck with that 😫

Left my house tonight and just along the road was a raid featuring Manectric. Looked up its weaknesses and was able to take it down myself using 2 Tyranitars, a Golem and a Graveler. Is there a reason I was earning double candy tonight for both Pokémon caught and hatched? Can’t see anything in the news section about it. Hatched 2 10k eggs and got a Porygon and a Larvitar, got circa 40 candies for Porygon alone (have more than enough to evolve but don’t have whatever item is needed). Also noticed a glitch or something that I’ve encountered before with eggs. Hatched three 7k eggs and got three Alolan Rattata but despite receiving 21, 36 and 42 candies respectively the overall candy figure didn’t change and stuck at 215. Also I’m all out of gifts at the minute with not spinning any stops for a week or so, so if you don’t get any back from me for a few days you know why 😆

Based on what someone said upthread it looks like we’re having to wait til Halloween to complete the ghost part 😒

With great difficulty. I started catching everything I encountered as I had stopped because I was fed up wasting pokeballs on the usual suspects like Pidgeys and Rattatas. Whether it was because of that or because there was an increased chance of encountering Dittos due to whatever event was on at the time I don’t know (it wasn’t clear if it meant Dittos in the wild or via field research encounters) but it ended up being a Rattata anyway. Went to go out after work tonight but seems it was down worldwide. 😕

Took a week off there due to a public holiday but back into the swing of things again, anyone else that has added me has been accepted and most people should have received gifts from me also. Due to not being out I’ve a bit of a backlog of items so I had to delete some stuff to accept any that were sent to me! Noticed I’d received my first ever EX raid pass which I found rather confusing as at the start I didn’t know you had to click on it to tell you when and where the raid would be. Going to have to take an extended lunch on Friday to take part. 🤫

Think I had 70 or so. Generally I wouldn’t have bothered catching Magikarp as trying to get 400 for a Gyrados just seemed an impossible task, but when I looked up the full details of A Mythical Discovery and saw that it was essential I used all the Pinap berries I’d harvested and caught every one in sight. The few that I got from eggs helped as well. Don’t think I want to wait that long though. 😫 What bit of part 5 are you stuck on? It starts at 10am UK time and I’m out for a 30th birthday party tonight... so it’s looking like I’m going to have to drag myself out of bed tomorrow morning because the Blastoise I have I evolved in a hurry during the last community day (without appraising it) and it’s not much cop! Just wanted it to be able to say I finally had a Blastoise. My code is 8556 7358 3030 for anyone that hasn’t already added me. Got my first Snorlax today also. 😎

This Mythical Discovery quest is an absolute nightmare. Was going so well until part 5 on which I’m currently stuck and have been for about 4 weeks now. Only completed “Catch a Ditto” this week (which may or may not be due to them appearing more often as part of the July Research tasks) after just saying fuck it and going back to catching everything in sight. Still haven’t managed to catch a single ghost Pokémon, hatch one from an egg or get one via a research task, so I’ve no idea how long this is going to take. I can’t remember the last time I encountered a ghost type in the wild. On a positive note I managed to amass 474 Magikarp candies during the water themed research tasks month, so when the time comes I don’t need to grind for the evolving a Gyarados task. EDIT: Today I caught 3 of the hat and shades wearing Pikachus, cute 😍 Also I hatched two of the 7km eggs I’ve received as gifts and got Alolan Meowth and Sandshrew. Pretty cool that their types are completely different. I even like the Alolan Rattata...

I stared playing again around two months ago when you got double XP for spinning new Poke stops. I hadn’t played in so long that most of the stops around me were flagged as new, so coupling that with lucky eggs I managed to level up from 21 to 26 in a matter of weeks. I don’t know a single other person that plays anymore so the trading feature is a real bummer for me. It’s also the reason why the only time I’ve managed to take part in raids was during the last community day. My trainer code is 8556 7358 3030 if anyone wants to add me and send me gifts so that I don’t feel completely isolated.
