  1. So I backed Maybe It's Poison as it didn't seem to expensive and had some reasonable stretch goals too - 4 days left on it. Trodgor looks great too.
  2. Thanks @ChrisSteeleAteMyHamster & @RPS. I found one recently called Escape from the Dark Castle. Looked fun, D&D-ish too. There's some expansions on Kickstarter but I'd want to get the base game first.
  3. The nerdy-ness of Boss Monster is lovely. The others all have easy to learn game play but as mentioned about Betrayal, end up being different each time. Also why I enjoyed Tsuro, making a map etc. and Alahambra which I forgot to add to my want list.
  4. So I decided to back my first ever Kickstarter for One Week Ultimate Werewolf last week. I won’t get it until November but having played One Night Ultimate Werewolf & the vampire version too I’m excited to see how a longer game goes. I wanted to share my list of games I have/want and see if any of you had recommendations. One Night Ultimate Werewolf Boss Monster Sushi Go Labyrinth Cards Against Humanity On my list to get Tsuro Colt Express Betrayal at House on the Hill Arkham Horror Ticket to Ride (this is not a priority as I suck at it but it’s a fun game) Formula D
  5. I've been running a D&D game for a little while, just thought I would share a few moments that have happened and see if any of you can think of any improvements I can make. This may be a little lengthy. Party: Human Paladin, Dwarf Fighter, Tiefling Wizard. Playing 4E The players started off stumbling upon a town called Melford (they decided their backstory was that they got blackout drunk and this was the next town they found) whereupon they got pretty settled and then a murder occurred and they were recruited to deal with finding the culprit. This would have been SUPER easy, had they checked the murdered guys room. No, they went around a backwards ass way, chased a supernatural person down and nearly got themselves killed a bunch of times. After finally convicting the murderer, they inherited a bee shop and became beekeepers for a short while. They also cleared a whole nest of spiders and battled with some zombies in a creepy building within this town. Feeling their time at the town was up, I sent a plot device in the form of a letter to a former NPC turned PC guard the others had collected for a new player who was just used a meatshield for hire previously. The letter beckoned them to Fallcrest through the swampy marshland, where they spotted the supernatural person from before. A players arm was torn out by the wildlife in the swamp, then they found a new arm (Vecna's Hand) and used this as a replacement. The person they were chasing was consumed by a living wall. From another living wall, the group freed a few Kobolds. One of the Kobolds claimed to be of nobility, after a 20 roll to attempt some diplomacy and my players have started to factor peace talks between Kobolds and other races. The players believed his story and were led to Kobold Hall Mansion, which belonged to the Lord Kobold. He tasked them with clearing it as it had become filled with cultists in his absence. They found the dragon, and murdered it using Vecna's Hand, but this also triggered something that started flooding the place, so they hastily left. Upon reaching Fallcrest, they then went to see one of the player's family, which was where the letter came from and found his house to be enchanted. They went to seek out the ghost of the family members wife, who had been spotted. They climbed a rickety tower, which was set on fire, flung sharks around and generally fucked the place up. They erased some ritual circles, freeing the ghost's spirit and lifting some enchantments. The tower mysteriously reconstructed itself after collapsing in to the river. Upon returning to the main town, they were jumped upon by thugs, who ripped out Vecna's Hand/Arm from the player with it. Later, this was replaced with a normal arm by the Kobold Lord, when he rushed to their aid at a battle against a zombie dragon (being the same one from the Mansion, zombified). Now they've had to head back off to the Mansion and the floor crumbled beneath them, submerging them in deep water. Fortunately they had a water breathing spell. They've battled a few things, but the most interesting thing was when I threw a Gelatinous Cube in there. It stunned and attempted to dissolve a new player, Tiefling Rogue. Things looked pretty bad, then the Tiefling Wizard pulled off an amazing feat, with a natural 20 of reaching in with his staff, rescuing the player and blasting it back and almost killing it. They've seen some odd messages, which will lead them to one of the Vecna cult leaders and they'll get a better idea about what's going on in the campaign. tl;dr Lots of stuff happened in D&D
  6. Farscape on recommendation from friends, seems like it might be okay.
  7. I've been trying to get the hang of this whole IV breeding thing in Pokémon Y. I've managed to breed a few Eevee for the upcoming online thing with 5 perfect IVs, so I'll see how they go and if I can do the EV training needed too.
  8. Okay so; PSN - PkmnTrainerJ Steam - PkmnTrainerJ MiiVerse/Wii U - PkmnTrnrJ 3DS - 4554 1391 5341
  9. I've finally gotten around to getting a Wii U, and have to say Mario Kart 8 is pretty great. The only thing about the whole "anti-grav" tracks is you don't really notice it, your wheels change but you may as well still be on the ground. Liking the off-TV play on it though. Only had the good fortune to get the blue shell destroying item once, but used it to do just that. Also downloaded Monster Hunter as my free game, so that's pretty good. Also, in 3DS Land, managed to send off a child from The War Doctor & Nikki (from Swapnote/Letter Box, had a QR code in an old Nintendo mag) and their child was as ugly as sin.
  10. I thought that too, or The Monster is at least part of "The Source" being death, as it's always seen as a dark smoke. Locke's seen another thing as a brilliant white light (as he told Mr. Eko he saw it as before) , which might be it's opposite (life or rebirth), released by Jacob at some point from The Source. In support of this, there's been Christian appearing as we've seen him in black shoes when he's been The Monster, and then he's appeared in different attire, in white shoes when he's been off-island which The Monster is apparently unable to do. I'm still thinking there's more than one "entity" on The Island, but with only three and a half hours left to explain all the big stuff maybe not.
  11. Have started to play Final Fantasy IV again and have been suprised by a few things, like Cid and Yang dying in such quick succession, then not really being dead. The stupid difficulty of Demon Wall on the DS version compared to the other versions and only just managed to defeat it after leaving Slowing it and setting everyone to auto-battle with Rydia on Leviathan and everyone else attacking. Now I'm inside the Giant of Babil, and am about to fight the Archfiends again. IV has certainly dragged in some areas, but overall it's been enjoyable. I guess I'm getting pretty close to the end of it now.
  12. Agreed. X-2 Blitzball sucked wang. Blitzball is easily my favourite mini-game.
  13. 1. Penny Arcade 2. pictures for sad children 3. xkcd 4. Questionable Content 5. Least I Could Do
  14. I guess I've not been on EWB for a little bit

  15. So, Dragon Age looks pretty good, am I going to miss out on anything by getting it on PS3 as opposed to PC or 360?
