  1. Final Fantasy X-2's Blitzball can go away and die. Love X's, and wish it would be released in some kind of Final Fantasy minigame compilation for the PSP along with VII's Chocobo racing, Tetra Master etc.
  2. Started playing Final Fantasy IV on DS again recently and I'm up to the Underworld where Rydia returns etc. but Golbez is a bit of a bastard. Rydia only has 600HP and doesn't survive enough time for Cecil to use Libra, then check his weakness and use the appropriate summon. Would it be best to level Cecil up and just try and strike him with attacks, or can he be Slowed? If so, when does Cecil learn Slow?
  3. Yeah, going to have to go with Vaporeon on this one. Never raised one, and I've used Gyarados a bunch of times. Cheers.
  4. So, I got a bit behind with this, but I'm just about to go on the S.S Anne. Squad is level 20 and is: - Pikachu - Charmeleon - Mankey - Fearow Got Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Ekans and Paras in reserve on the PC, but I'm not really sure what to use now. I clearly need a Water-type at some point. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions on the extra space? Maybe a Psychic, but I think Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam is really your choice in FR/LG isn't it?
  5. Mankeys are on Route 22 near Viridian City, where you battle Gary. As are Spearows if you want one of them.
  6. If you're going to do a monotype team, and have some variety I'd say a Normal type team would be good. Raticate will serve pretty well as your main after you ditch the starter. Got a level 5 Pikachu, and now team is: - Charmander Level 10 - Spearow Level 10 - Mankey Level 10 - Pikachu Level 9 Brock should be defeated easily with Low Kick and after that I'm not sure whether to catch a Zubat in Mt. Moon or not. May go for Paras or Clefairy instead though.
  7. I went with Charmander when I started. Also a Pidgey got three critical hits on me in a row on the way to Viridian City and god damn killed Charmander. Team - Charmander Level 10 - Spearow Level 7 - Mankey Level 7 I'll grab a Pikachu from Viridian Forest I think. Been a while since I actually used one. I'll make sure to even out my team when I get through the Viridian Forest. EDIT: All level 10 now. Oh, if anyone needs it there's a hidden Potion opposite the last Bug Catcher you battle in the forest. I always pick it up. Still searching for a Pikachu now.
  8. Oh, this will be kind of good, I'll start tomorrow on one of my spare copies.
  9. We will try and get through that awful game. Even the introduction bores me.
  10. The DS version was enjoyable until you manage to catch everything, but even now that I've done everything in the game almost I still play with people on wifi from time to time. I've actually only played the Wii version for a week or so. The extra things in it, such as sending letters to other towns, and the city weren't that appealing to me, and I felt the controls didn't work as well as they did for the DS version, but if it's the first one you're buying then it might be better. Also as Quom said, if you leave your game you get weeds cropping up and whinging villagers. In Wild World (DS) there was a point in building up relationships with your villagers, in that you could get a picture of them as an item, but in the Wii version pictures are gone so I'm not sure what the point is in it, so that's another flaw with the Wii one.
  11. So, let's have a brief thing of Comic-Con revelations. Spoiler: Click here to view- Jeremy Davies (Faraday) confirmed as returning for season six - Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) also confirmed as recurring guest star - Richard will get a flashback, Black Rock may be involved - Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) appeared at the end of an "In Memoriam" video showcasing dead characters. Walked out to a huge cheer. - Apparently had the words "Am I alive?" on his hand - Jacob has not appeared as other characters on the show - Pallet food drops will be answered in season six - DHARMA will be at a minimum in season six, more DHARMA in S5 DVD set - Darlton said they will answer ALL major questions
  12. So, I'm trying to get together a campaign starting next month and I've been reading all the books, have made some cards detailing a few things as many of the players are begginers, or haven't played 4th edition. Just wondering if there's any pitfalls I should be aware of, or any large fuck ups that I can pre-empt, as I've learned 4th edition only last month, and have never DMed a game before. Also, got an iPhone app called Dicenomicon, which lets you set up and store dice formulas and comes with one for rolling full character stats which will be handy. I'm trying to set up a base town, but I'm not too sure on getting started with that, as I'd like to use it in future campaigns and later burn it to the ground, or have an uprising against the government or something, so I'd like lots of details within.
  13. That would be it then. I've tried to play Mario Kart against people with R4's to no avail before. I'd recommend getting Platinum, even if you're not bothered about the catching thing. The second iteration of the games are always better in story and longevity. There's the Battle Frontier too to keep things going.
  14. The final unlock is performed when you reach Agate Village, and you go to the Relic Stone, they get unlocked there (provided they have the 'final unlock' message) and are no longer shadow Pokémon. They'll gain all the EXP they've earned so far and their final move. Is the cave you're looking for in Duking's House maybe? Can't remember. Upstairs on the left I think. Might be crashing if one of you has an unofficial copy, can't think of too many things that might be wrong with it.
  15. I've discussed this briefly with Benji before. If older games (or games not on the systems that have trophies etc.) had them (or were rereleased on to a newer console), what trophies & achievements do you think they should have? I'll take a few of my old favourites as examples, but I'm sure others will have better ideas. Final Fantasy VII Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+
  16. Some Pokémon (see here) need a dongle of the GBA games to actually appear. Starters also need to be traded over and can't be caught, as well as certain legendaries (see here) but apart from that and Tangela & Tropius in Diamond & Pearl, you can catch everything else.
  17. It's best to stick your friend code in your sig, or something, then people can PM you when/if they want to battle.
  18. Water types for myself. I think they've only not been mixed with two types, one being Fire. A few examples of some good ones: Swampert, Milotic, Gyarados, Ludicolo (okay, maybe Ludicolo just makes me laugh because of Miror. B)
  19. First of all, I watched The Cat Returns on TV a few weeks back, then bought it on DVD and recently watched it again and laughed the whole way through at the weirdness of it both times. Anyone else seen it? Also, are all other Studi Ghibli films just as good? I've seen Howl's Moving Castle, which I think was them as well, and I really liked the oddity of that. Thirdly, please recommend me some good anime to watch.
  20. He might have a child that he adopts, but if not, then yes. Other Sims just entirely move out and don't come back too.
  21. On the three new titles, I'm thinking one will be Kingdom Hearts III, one will be the Final Fantasy VII remake and then probably another game set in the Chrono Trigger universe as the DS rerelease went well.
  22. I'm the same, not played for ages, but any time after 8pm UK time is good for me.
  23. A crazy marsupial with an ancient mask for a companion thwarting a crazy scientist and his genetic freaks.
  24. I'm sure I can wait until June 5th, but I have been looking forward to it for some time. How does control shift from one Sim to another now that you're not having to choose a house each time?
  25. The video he posted was under the "lostexperience" channel on YouTube, which makes people think that we might have a new ARG in the works.
