They're saying its just an inflammation, but I suspect its worse than that. Could be a muscle strain or something along those lines. Those can take a lot longer than 10 days to recover from. I had a right shoulder strain once, and it took about a month to heal.

Full warning that I might be looking at this through Dodger blue lenses, but Sandy Koufax is one of the greatest left-handers in history and Clayton Kershaw just passed him for most wins by a LH Dodger at 166. 

Need to get this man a Series. One of the greatest of all-time.

I agree with you. No matter who they're playing, I'll probably be for the Dodgers next time they're in the World Series. Even if its the Red Sox. My parents are both Dodgers fans, and are in their 70's with major health problems. Would like to see the team win another championship while they're both around to see it.

Kershaw is my favorite active southpaw pitcher. (Yes, I like him more than Chris Sale and David Price. And Sale isn't active at the moment.)

Incidentally, Tommy Lasorda is my all-time favorite manager.

Kansas City flew to Boston to finish off a suspended game.

 

It lasted 12 minutes before they coughed up the winning run.

Speaking of suspended games...I find it to be really silly that you can only suspend a tie game.

It looks like it might rain until 1 AM but they’re probably still going to force the Mets and Indians to finish their game.  It’s an official game, but they won’t call it because both teams are in a playoff race and they don’t have the option of suspending it.

These Players Weekend uniforms are atrocious.  What’s the point of having players pick nicknames for their jerseys if they’re just going to hide it with super light silver text on white uniforms?

Apparently the Dodgers asked MLB if they and the Yanks could wear their usual uniforms for just one game since they’re two of the most traditional uniforms and this match up doesn’t happen often. 

MLB said no. Wear those ugly ass unis.

It's not even September and Pete Alonso has already set the Mets' single season home run record.  42 in his rookie year with a whole month to pile on.  And many of them were moonshots that probably would've left the yard even if the baseballs weren't juiced.

Mets come off of a sweep against Cleveland to lose five straight including Syndergaard giving up six runs in the first inning tonight.

At least they got me to football season before the wheels fell off.

Yanks basically did the opposite. Started their west coast trip getting swept by Oakland, but then took two-out-of-three against the Dodgers and swept the Mariners to go 5-4 on the trip. I'm going to Yankee Stadium on Saturday to see them face the A's.

So the death report revealed Tyler Skaggs had alcohol, oxy, and fentanyl in him at his death. Basically choked on his own vomit. He also was apparently in same clothes wore day prior. Family is trying to look into all this and find out who gave it to him as they believe someone on Angel's staff is guilty here.
