It’s early in the season picking the Broncos to be the 9-7 team that squeaks out a surprise Wild Card berth was ill-advised.  I thought Flacco would at least look competent with a change of scenery but, yeesh.  And I didn’t realize Drew Lock was on IR.

That game was just frustrating to watch because the Raiders had every chance to try and get something done in the second half and did nothing with a solid half of defense.

Welp, RIP Saints season.

Additionally, this means there will be no dramatic chase between Brady and Brees to pass Peyton’s TD record.  Also a chance Brady passes Brees in career yardage too,  but he’d need to average 266 yards a game over the final 14 with a bunch of early season games that will be over by halftime.

The Steelers season was in trouble midway through their first game.  They were paper contenders.  Can’t ever beat the Patriots and were going to struggle to get into the playoffs.  Even if Ben were healthy I couldn’t see them winning the north over Baltimore.

I also wouldn't say that the Saints season is fucked. The NFC South is a shit show and they could do a hell of a lot worse than Teddy Bridgewater. He didn't look particularly great but probably wasn't super prepared and the Rams defense is pretty good.
