WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

HELL IN A CELL

BATISTA © v TRIPLE H -This feud needs to die. Seriously. I don't want to see Major Bignose win another title unless you're going to compeltely change his character, which I can't see happening. I think the best plan of action would be for Big Dave to retain, shove 3H offscreen for a while with a fake injury (or hope he gets injured for real  )and let someone like Jericho or Edge step up.

CHRIS JERICHO v EDDIE GUERRERO - What with Eddie's special circumstance in being the draft choice, he should probably win this one to prove he was a good choice, but as I said above, I want to see Y2J in the ME, and losing to Guerrero isn't going to help that cause. Maybe a win by DQ, what with Eddie's firey temper?

NO DISQUALIFICATIONS

KANE v EDGE w/LITA - I love my Kaney, but not the sad wreck he's been reduced to these days. If he smacks the shit out of Edge and breaks Lita's face or something, fine, but otherwise, it only makes sense for Mr. Money In The Bank to pick up the W. Either way, this is another feud that needs to die ASAP, let Edge feud with Eddie or something.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

2 OUT OF 3 FALLS

SHELTON BENJAMIN © v MUHAMMAD HASSAN w/DAIVARI -It's all about the Benjamins, and so should the ME scene be. I can't see any advantage from Hassan coming out as the winner, except maybe freeing Benji from the IC Title so he can go after the World strap.

CHRIS BENOIT v CHRISTIAN w/TYSON TOMKO - Captain Charisma all the way. Christian is in my view the most entertaining guy on RAW, possibly even in the WWE. He also needs to be challenging for the World title. Benoit's had his 15 minutes of fame, and until he starts applying the crossface properly again, I have no interest in him whatsoever :P

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

THE HURRICANE & ROSEY © w/STACY KEIBLER v SIMON SYSTEM (SIMON DEAN & MAVEN) - I honestly don't care. As has been said before, Hurricane needs to get drafted to SD so he can play a p[art in the cruiser scene, with or without Rosey. The Simon System needs to die, let Nova be Nova, and let Maven join the dole que, I hate that guy.

CHRISTY HEMME v VICTORIA -Who cares? I pick Victoria because she can actually, y'know, wrestle (although I admit Christy is improving). Legitimate threat to the title over the glorified eye-candy any day.

Welcome To Vengeance

(1 Minute)

After the initial opening pyro and fans going crazy while the Vengeance theme was played, we went to Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler at the commentary desk, just to the side of the Vengeance set. The set itself had a big stage with a ramp leading down to the ring. The Vengeance logo was positioned at the top of the set, above the big screen and entrance way. Red lights shone brightly against the black curtain.

Jim Ross welcomed everybody to Vengeance and thanked everybody who had bought the event and were watching live on pay-per-view. He then got into a discussion with The King about the matches tonight, they were both very excited about the main event. Before they could talk more about the matches, they were interrupted by Chris Benoit's music and a huge cheer from the crowd.

Chris Benoit vs. Christian w/Tyson Tomko

(16 Minutes)

Benoit got into the ring and raised his arms to the crowd at each side of the ring, causing a big cheer each time. Lilian Garcia announced that the following match was scheduled for one fall and then introduced Benoit. Waterproof Blonde's 'Just Close Your Eyes' then sounded throughout the arena and Christian appeared on the stage with shining hooded jacket and shiny pants, a big C plastered on the back of the jacket. Christian walked backwards to the ring with his hood up as Tyson Tomko followed, staring at Benoit with a nasty look on his face. Christian entered the ring and saluted his 'peeps' from the second turnbuckle before removing his entrance gear. Tomko exited the ring after having a few words with Benoit and the bell was rung. Benoit took down Captain Charisma with a headlock takedown early in the bout and managed to hold it in for a good few minutes as Christian could not get out of it. He did manage to make it to the ropes in the end, though, and Benoit was forced to break the hold. Christian then utilised a headlock takedown, but Benoit countered with a head scissors and then planted Christian with a release German suplex for what was barely a 2 count. Tomko pulled Christian out of the ring to give him a breather, but Benoit wouldn't allow it and dove through the ropes onto both men on the outside. The referee followed Benoit out and checked on all three men. The Crippler took Christian and sent him face-first into the steps. Christian then charged at his opponent, only to be drop-toe holded face-first into the steel. The match went back into the ring and Benoit got in a few chops and headbutts before Christian made his way to the outside again. Benoit was momentarily stunned by a thumb to the eye and it was enough for Christian to throw Benoit into the ring post. This was followed up with the Captain throwing Benoit over the security barrier, the referee followed the two into the crowd for a short brawl, but they were back ringside quickly as Benoit was suplexed groin-first onto the barrier. Christian went back into the ring with the referee as Tomko gave Benoit a big boot, knocking him off of the barrier. Christian brought Benoit back to the ring and locked on a rear chin lock. The Crippler fought back, getting out of the hold with a back drop and then stinging Captain Charisma with some nasty chops, making his chest a sore red. Benoit went for a German suplex, but Christian blocked it and rolled him up with a victory roll for a 2 count. Benoit dropkicked Christian through the ropes onto the apron, but was then caught with a hangman over the top rope. Christian went up-top, looking for a flying clothesline, but Benoit reversed into a Crossface attempt! Christian was able to get to the ropes before the hold could be locked in. Benoit slammed Christian with two consecutive German suplexes, but upon going for a third, Christian countered the hold and laid out his foe with a reverse DDT which got a 2 count. Christian looked for the Unprettier, but he was pushed to the ropes and stumbled backwards into yet another German suplex. Benoit signalled for the diving headbutt and ascended the turnbuckles. Tyson Tomko got onto the apron to stop him, but was met with vicious headbutts. As Tomko fell off the apron, Christian was able to get back up and joined Benoit on the top rope, exchanging punches. Christian came out worse, falling to the mat hard. Tomko then hit Benoit with a big boot, knocking him off of the top rope and to the outside, while the referee was attending to Christian. Tomko threw Benoit back into the ring and Christian held The Crippler as Tomko tried a big boot. Benoit ducked though, and Christian was waffled by the boot. Tomko looked shocked and fell victim to a German suplex from Benoit. Benoit then went up-top again as Tomko rolled out of the ring. Benoit connected with the diving headbutt on Christian and then locked his opponent in the Crippler Crossface. It took about half of a minute for Christian to tap out.

The bell was rung and Lilian Garcia announced Chris Benoit the winner. The announcement was cut short as Tomko attacked Benoit, much to the crowd's disapproval. Benoit fought off the attack, though, and locked Tomko in the Crossface. The Problem Solver tapped out as Christian walked back up the ramp, nursing his injuries, walking out on Tomko. The referee eventually got Benoit to release the hold on Tyson Tomko and The Crippler celebrated his win by raising his arms to the crowd again.

Christy Hemme vs. Victoria

(12 Minutes)

Victoria made her way down to the ring with a sneer on her face. Christy Hemme then walked out onto the stage, not her usual 'bouncy' self. She walked quickly to the ring, staring a hole through Victoria. Hemme slid into the ring and the two competitors immediately engaged in a brawl on the mat as the bell was rung. Christy got the upper hand and began to slam Victoria's head into the canvas. The referee was able to control Christy and pulled her off of Victoria. Victoria exited the ring, but Christy came right after her and connected with some hard forearms. The fight went back into the ring and Christy put the boots to her opponent in the corner. Christy attempted a monkey flip, but she was pushed off, landing hard on the mat. Victoria went for the pin, but could only manage a 2 count. Victoria then threw Hemme into the corner and attacked her with some chops and punches. She then hip-tossed her opponent from the corner and nailed a leg drop for another 2. Victoria then positioned her knee in the small of Christy's back as she applied a rear chin lock, putting the hurt on Hemme. Christy was able to battle back and she rocked her opponent with a clothesline before utilising a suplex. Victoria staggered to her feet, but was met with a DDT and a 2 and a half count. Christy shot Victoria off to the ropes, but her clothesline attempt was thwarted and she received a devastating kick to the head. Victoria smiled as she thought it was all over, but was shocked when Christy kicked out just before the 3. Victoria went for the Widow's Peak, but Christy was able to slide out of the move and hit Victoria with a modified Twist Of Fate, which was enough for the 3 count.

Christy stood over her fallen opponent with her hand raised in triumph before leaving the ring.

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The Hurricane & Rosey © w/Stacy Keibler vs. Simon System (Simon Dean & Maven)

(16 Minutes)

Simon Dean and Maven made their way to the ring first, Dean carrying his kit bag. They both warmed up in the ring with various exercises as Lilian introduced them as the challengers. The Hurricane and Rosey then appeared with Stacy Keibler to huge cheers from the crowd. Lilian introduced the World Tag Team Champions as the super heroes posed on the turnbuckles. The match got underway with Maven and The Hurricane. Hurricane outpaced Maven and slid under his legs to hit a tiger suplex early on. Maven came back after taking a few moments in the corner to recuperate. The two then locked up and Maven managed to lock a headlock on but not for long as Hurricane shot him off to the ropes and knocked him down with a high-leg clothesline. Maven did not look happy and he tagged in Simon Dean. Hurricane got Dean in a waistlock, but Dean tripped him up and quickly applied a leg lock. Hurricane was able to roll along the mat to his corner while still in the hold and get the tag to Rosey. Rosey came in and knocked Dean down with a clothesline. Maven tried to intervene but was caught after coming off the turnbuckle with a powerslam. Rosey went to work on Dean and got a near fall after a sidewalk slam. He went for his Revolving Leg Drop, but Maven tripped him at the ropes. Dean then came from behind and jumped onto Rosey, applying a sleeper hold. The big man faded away quickly, dropping to one knee. After some encouragement from the fans, though, Rosey was able to stand back up and fall backwards, squashing Dean between him and the mat. Hurricane tagged in and missed the Shining Wizard before knocking out Dean with a superkick. Maven interrupted the pinfall at 2. As Hurricane went after Maven, Dean got back up and levelled Hurricane with a cross body block. He then locked in an armbar before tagging in Maven. Maven stomped away on Hurricane and continued to work on the arm with an arm drag. Hurricane tried a hurricanrana, but Maven countered with a powerbomb for a 2. Simon Dean tagged in and stomped away on Hurricane, also hitting him with some nasty elbow drops to the arm. Dean locked on a modified armbar and after a couple of minutes Hurricane was able to reverse it into a pinning predicament, but he could only get 2. Dean tagged out to Maven, who came in and slammed Hurricane to the mat, hard. Maven then climbed to the top rope, looking for a splash, but Hurricane moved and planted Maven with a downward spiral. Both men were down and were able to make the tag to their partners. Dean came in but staggered backwards when he saw Rosey. Rosey picked Dean up above his head and threw him over the top rope. He then grabbed Hurricane and chucked him over the top rope in an offensive dive onto Dean. Maven tried to attack Rosey, but Rosey flattened him with a big splash and a Revolving Leg Drop. The referee wouldn't count, though, as Simon Dean was the legal man. Hurricane tagged in and Rosey tossed Dean back into the ring. Maven had rolled out of the ring and grabbed Stacy Keibler at ringside. Hurricane threatened Maven from the ring as Rosey went over to Maven and began to brawl with him. As the referee and Hurricane were concentrated on the goings-on outside the ring, Simon Dean sneaked up behind Hurricane and hit him with a low blow and a DDT. Dean grabbed the referee's attention and the 3 count was made as Rosey tried to get back in the ring. Dean rolled out of the ring and joined Maven in celebrating their title win as Hurricane, Rosey and Stacy looked on from the ring.

Suffering The Consequences

(5 Minutes)

We cut to the backstage area, the General Manager Eric Bischoff's office to be precise. Bischoff was wearing a neck brace due to the attack he suffered last Monday night from The Undertaker. He was talking to Jonathan Coachman, who had a band-aid on his head. Bischoff said that The Undertaker's actions last week were dispicable. He may have been able to get away with such things on Smackdown!, said Bischoff, but not on RAW, not on his show. Bischoff then told Coach that he had suspended The Undertaker indefinitely. This news brought a smile to Coach's face.

Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Guerrero

(15 Minutes)

Chris Jericho entered first, doing his usual ring entrance. He looked fired up and ready for revenge. A phone call then sounded the entrance of Guerrero and the words 'Can you feel the heat?' were spoken in his music. Guerrero slowly walked to the ring in his confident swagger. The fans jeered loudly as Eddie came closer to the ring. Before Eddie could go any further, the crowd cheered wildly as Jericho leaped through the ropes, landing on Guerrero. The referee joined the two on the outside, trying to get them back into the ring. The combatants brawled around the ring, Guerrero still with his top on. Jericho slammed Eddie face-first into the ring steps, the apron, the security barrier and even the timekeeper's table. Guerrero staggered back into the ring and the bell was rung when Jericho joined him. Y2J shoved his foe into the corner and ripped off his t-shirt so Eddie could feel the stinging sensation of Jericho's chops. Eddie escaped the corner, but Jericho whipped him across the ring and welcomed him with a knee to the gut, sending Eddie to the mat holding his abdomen. Jericho mounted Eddie and drove his fist into Eddie's face multiple times. Guerrero was able to escape and roll out of the ring for a quick breather. Jericho came after him, but was drove back first into the apron 3 times. Eddie took control, rocking Y2J with a Russian leg sweep on the outside before taking the action back into the ring. Eddie chopped Jericho in the corner a few times before whipping him across the ring. Jericho hit the top turnbuckle sternum first and fell to the mat. Eddie got a 2 count. Guerrero then hit a hurricanrana and went for the 'Three Amigos' suplex combination. After the second, though, Jericho blocked a third and clubbed his way out of the grip and delivered a German suplex. Jericho then fired up and hit Eddie with a clothesline, a spinning heel kick and a dropkick, sending Eddie out to the apron. Jericho tried his springboard dropkick, but Eddie pushed him over the rope. Both men were on the apron, battling over a corner post. Jericho was shoved off to the floor outside as Eddie climbed to the top. Eddie went for a dive, but Jericho moved and sent Eddie face-first into the security barrier. Jericho locked on the Walls Of Jericho and Guerrero tapped out. The move, as the referee pointed out, was outside the ring, though, and the submission did not count. The referee managed to get both men back in the ring and Jericho shortly went for the Lionsault. Eddie moved and Y2J landed on his stomach. He popped up straight into a DDT and a 2 count by Guerrero. Guerrero then planted Jericho with the 'Three Amigos' and went up-top. Jericho lay prone in the middle of the ring as Eddie hit the Frog Splash. The referee counted to 2, but Eddie raised Jericho's shoulders off of the mat and waggled his finger at the referee. Guerrero then picked Jericho up and hit a stalling brainbuster, Jericho seemed to be out cold. Eddie went for another brainbuster, but before he could lift Y2J up, Rey Mysterio came out of nowhere and attacked Eddie, awarding the match to him via DQ.

J.R. and The King yelled that Mysterio was a Smackdown! superstar, The King suggesting he should be taken away by security. Mysterio continued to beat up Eddie and hit the 619. Mysterio then connected with a springboard leg drop with a chair, right onto Eddie's face, busting him open. Eddie tried to run away, but Mysterio followed him and the two brawled into the crowd and out of sight.

Hassan Has Something To Say

(3 Minutes)

Muhammad Hassan walked to the ring, to a huge round of boos from the crowd. He interrupted Lilian as she was introducing him by snatching the microphone from her hand. Hassan once again reminded us that he has not been pinned and he has not tapped out on RAW. He asked why, then, does everybody think that Shelton Benjamin will walk out with the Intercontinental title? Hassan said he was the superior athlete and he would win the Intercontinental title tonight and dedicate it to all of his 'Arab-American brothers' who had been mistreated like he had. Daivari started to scream something in Arabic but was soon interrupted by Shelton Benjamin's music as the Intercontinental Champion made his way to the ring.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

2 Out Of 3 Falls

Shelton Benjamin © vs. Muhammad Hassan w/Daivari

(22 Minutes)

Daivari exited the ring as Shelton entered it. The champ climbed the turnbuckles and raised his belt in the air proudly. He then gave the title to the referee, who held it up to signal that the championship was on the line. Shelton jumped up and down on the spot, Hassan just staring at him as the bell rang. The two exchanged words before engaging in an elbow-collar tie-up. Hassan wrapped Shelton up in a headlock and was able to keep it on despite Benjamin's attempts to throw him off. The Intercontinental Champion did counter the move eventually with a back drop. Muhammad crawled towards the corner but was immediately stunned with the Stinger Splash by Shelton, which was followed quickly by the T-Bone Suplex. Shelton got the 3 count barely two minutes into the contest!

Fall 1 Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Hassan rolled out of the ring, angry and shocked at what had just happened. As he was holding his head and talking to Daivari, Shelton leaped over the top rope and took out both men. The battle then came back into the ring as Benjamin hit his opponent with some hard right hands. He then Irish-whipped the challenger across the ring, looking for another Stinger Splash. Hassan was able to dodge the splash and promptly laid out Shelton with the modified STO. Hassan got the 3 with his feet on the ropes for another quick fall.

Fall 2 Winner: Muhammad Hassan

Hassan threw his arms up in celebration as Lilian Garcia announced him the winner of the second fall. He quickly went for another pin, but the champion kicked out. Hassan wore down Benjamin with a sleeper hold as Daivari yelled words of encouragment from ringside. Shelton fought back and reversed the sleeper into a northern lights suplex with a bridge for a 2 count. The challenger was then slammed to the mat and rocked with a leg drop. Benjamin hooked up a suplex, but Hassan flipped out of it and shoved Benjamin into the referee. Hassan then hit the Modified STO for the second time and went for the pin - but there was no referee. Another referee rushed down to the ring, but Benjamin kicked out at 2. Hassan was furious and took out the new referee with his Modified STO before kicking him out of the ring. Hassan turned straight into the a Dragon Whip from Shelton. Shelton went up-top, battling off Daivari on his way. He connected with a flying clothesline and went for a pin, but the referee's slow count only got to 2. Shelton was frustrated and went for the Dragon Whip again, but Hassan ducked the spinning kick and Shelton clocked the referee, who fell to the mat once more. Hassan went for a powerbomb, but Benjamin countered into a hurricanrana. Daivari then entered the ring with a steel chair, but fell victim to a superkick from Shelton. Benjamin then grabbed the chair and swung it at Muhammad, but he ducked. The chair bounced to the mat and Hassan again hit the Modified STO, this time onto the chair. He kicked the chair out of the ring as the referee came to, and locked the champion in the Camel Clutch. Shelton endured 2 or so minutes of the hold before he was able to counter, standing up with Hassan still on his back and slamming him into the corner. Shelton stagged out, ducked a clothesline from Hassan and rocked the challenger with a superkick. He crawled into a cover, but could only get 2. Shelton fired himself up and ran wild on Hassan with punches, following up with a clothesline that sent both competitors to the outside. Daivari tried to intervene, but got slammed into the steps. Shelton drove Hassan into the security barrier and then threw him back into the ring, where the referee checked on him to see if he was alright. Shelton climbed up-top but was drilled with the Intercontinental title belt by Daivari, as the referee was checking on Hassan. Shelton was out on the top rope and Hassan took advantage, climbing up to the second rope. Hassan grabbed hold of Benjamin and the crowd gasped as Hassan drilled his opponent with the Modified STO from the second rope! Hassan dragged Shelton to the middle of the ring and hooked the leg for the 3.

Kane vs. Edge w/Lita

(17 Minutes)

Kane made his way to the ring, under red lights as usual. He quickly paced the ring while waiting for his opponent's arrival. Lilian Garcia announced that the match was to have no disqualifications before introducing Kane. Edge then came out of a cloud of smoke on the entrance way, Lita at his side and his 'Money In The Bank' briefcase in hand. Edge walked down to the ring and teased Kane by kissing Lita before stepping between the ropes. Kane looked outside the ring at Lita, and then turned his attention to his opponent. J.R. told us that this was not going to be a wrestling match, this would be a fight. It started off as a fight as expected with Kane drilling Edge with some devastating right hands and a huge haymaker. Edge, holding his throat, rolled out of the ring and attacked Kane as he followed. Edge slammed Kane into the ring steps and then took the top part of the steps off. He went to throw them at Kane, but Kane big booted the steps back in Edge's face. Kane then removed the cover to the security barrier to expose the steel before lifting Edge up effortlessly and throwing him down throat-first onto the steel. Kane threw some more punches until Edge was leaning against the barrier. Kane charged, but was back dropped over the barrier, landing on the concrete. Edge staggered towards the timekeeper's table and grabbed a steel chair. He climbed over the barrier to where Kane was and was about to hit him with the chair when Kane grabbed him by the throat and threw him back over the barrier. Kane brought the chair with him back to ringside and waffled Edge with a shot to the back. Kane went for another shot when Edge was leaning against the ring post, but he missed and stung his fingers by hitting the post. Edge then hit a low blow and a DDT onto the steel steps. The action went back into the ring where Edge got a 2 count before Kane powered out. Edge stomped away on Kane and then went and took the pad off of a top turnbuckle, to reveal the steel. Edge slammed Kane face-first into the steel and the Big Red Machine began to bleed. Edge hit the Edgecution but only got a 2 count. He then applied the Edgecator to Kane, but the monster would not tap out. After 3 or 4 minutes, Edge gave up on the hold and grabbed the steel chair used earlier. He went to hit Kane with it, but received a punch to the stomach and a powerslam. Kane then delivered a big boot before grabbing the chair himself. He swung, but got hit with a spear. Lita cheered as Edge rolled into the cover. The referee's count only got to a 2, though, frustrating Edge. Edge argued with the referee and turned to see Kane sitting up. The two exchanged punches, a battle which Kane got the upper hand of. Edge was sent over the top rope with a clothesline and Kane turned his attention to Lita. Lita stumbled around the ring as Kane followed her. Out of nowhere, Edge hit Kane in the head with a ladder. He repeatedly used the ladder to bash Kane. Edge then threw the ladder, Kane and a table into the ring. Edge set up the ladder in a corner of the ring and the put the table just in front of it. He then put Kane on the table and slowly climbed the ladder. The crowd got to their feet to see what was going to happen. Kane got up from the table and stopped Edge, punching him. Kane climbed to the third rung of the ladder and grabbed Edge by the throat. Kane then managed to swivel around and chokeslam Edge through the table. The crowd erupted as Kane covered Edge for the 3 count amongst the remains of the table.

Vengeance... Gone Wrong

(8 Minutes)

After the match, Kane set his sights on Lita and gave her an evil smile. Lita started to run away, up the ramp but Kane caught up with her as she fell. Kane then grabbed her by the throat and moved towards the edge of the stage, pointing down below. The King and J.R. voiced their disapproval as Kane looked to throw Lita from the stage. Kane had second thoughts though, and released Lita letting her fall to her knees. He then grabbed something from the side of the ramp. It was a bottle of lighter fluid, much to the delight of the fans. Kane poured the contents over a stack of tables, wires and such below. He then pulled out a match and lit it, smiling, before throwing it onto the heap below, setting it on fire. He then grabbed Lita by the throat again and nodded his head. Just as he was about to throw her off the stage, Edge attacked from behind. Kane fought back from Edge's punches and grabbed him by the throat. Lita hit Kane with a low blow, though, and Edge shoved Kane off of the stage and into the burning heap below. The crowd jeered and chanted 'Holy Shit!' as J.R. yelled "OH MY GOD! Edge just pushed Kane off of the stage into the fire!". Lita and Edge hugged and walked away, grins on their faces as medics and backstage crew came to help Kane, putting the fire out immediately.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Hell In A Cell

Batista © vs. Triple H

(26 Minutes)

The Hell In A Cell structure was lowered around the ring as J.R. and The King hyped up the main event from the commentary table, the crowd excited. Lilian Garcia announced that the 'following match is scheduled for one fall and is the Hell In A Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship'. Triple H's music then hit and The Game walked out onto the stage, Flair a few steps behind him. Lilian announced Triple H as a former 10-time World Heavyweight Champion and the challenger for the match. The Game reached the cell door which was opened by a referee. He stood there for a moment as Ric Flair spoke some words of encouragment. Triple h then entered the cell as Flair waited outside. The Game did his usual 'water-spitting' routine before looking around at the structure and jumping up and down in the ring, awaiting his opponent. Batista then came out to the crowd's delight, the World title around his waist. He was introduced by Lilian as 'World Heavyweight Champion' and 'The Animal - Batista'. Batista got to the door and hesitated like The Game did before entering. Batista warmed up on the outside of the ring with some small jumps while looking around at the structure he was in. He looked around as a referee locked the cell door. He wiped his face with his hand and entered the ring. He went nose-to-nose with Triple H, the two exchanging words as the bell was rang. Triple H went to walk away, but turned quickly to try and catch Batista off guard, but The Animal blocked The Game's punch and delivered three of his own. A fourth punch send Triple H over the top rope and Batista went crazy in the ring before following the challenger out. Batista slammed The Game into the apron but was reversed on an Irish whip attempt and was sent flying into the steel of the cell wall. Triple H tried to follow up with a high knee, but The Animal moved and Batista crashed into the metal. The champion smashed his opponent's head onto the steel steps before taking the action back into the ring. Batista drilled The Game with multiple punches. He then shot Triple H off to the ropes, perhaps looking for a spinebuster. Triple H countered with a knee to the face. The challenger then choked Batista in the corner and then over the ropes, the referee unable to do anything about it. Triple H then charged at Batista, but the champion sent Triple H over the ropes and into the cage. The brawl continued between the ring and cell as Batista rocked The Game with some hard shots. He then drove Triple H into the apron back-first before levelling him with a clothesline. Triple H staggered around the ring trying to get away from his opponent. He got to the cell door and Flair gave him some words of encouragement. Batista came over and drilled Triple H with a spinebuster on the protective mats. Batista went to capitalise, but only got 2. Triple H then avoided being thrown into the cell wall again with a low blow, sending Batista to his knees. The Game then hit Batista with a knee to the face and pummeled the champion. Triple H then reached under the ring and pulled out a steel chair. He smashed the chair into Batista's face, squashing the champion against the cage. Batista fell to the mat and came back up bleeding from the shot. Triple H then threw Batista into the cell wall and scraped at his flesh by sliding his face along the cage. Batista staggered onto the ring apron as Triple H grabbed the chair and re-entered the ring. The Game then swung the chair at Batista while he was on the apron, sending The Animal crashing into, and through, the cage door. J.R. and The King were amazed as the lock was broken with Batista's weight going through the door. Triple H looked stunned, too, but exited the cell and kicked Batista a few times. Flair joined in on the beating, choking the life out of the champion as Triple H grabbed a table from under the ring. The table was set up parallel to the cell and Triple H got Batista in a powerbomb position. Batista countered the attempt, though, back dropping Triple H and then spinebustering Ric Flair through the table. The World champion regained his composure and threw Triple H back inside the cell where he used the cage as a weapon, slamming Triple H's face against it numerous times. Triple H managed to escape the cell again and tried to use the ring bell as a weapon, but Batista blocked it and threw the ring bell on the floor. Triple H then began to run again, having nowhere to go but up. He realised this and soon started to climb the cell. Batista looked up and then followed, as the crowd went into a frenzy. The two combatants began to brawl on the top of the cage. Batista got the upper-hand and drilled Triple H with a devastating clothesline. Then, out of nowhere, Flair comes into the picture. He had been climbing the cell as the participants were brawling. He low blowed the champion, allowing Triple H to come back into it. The Game punched Batista again and again, getting his blood all over himself. Flair stomped away on Batista, too. Flair then held Batista up for Triple H to hit him, but Batista ducked. Triple H was able to stop before he hit Flair, but Batista threw him onto one of the support beams in the middle. He then hit Flair with another spinebuster before slamming Triple H head-first onto the support beam, busting him open. He went for the Batista Bomb, but received yet another low blow. Triple H then hit the Pedigree. It seemed to be all over, but the referee could only make a 2 count. Triple H was in shock and threatened the referee. He then smiled and climbed down from the top of the cage, re-entering the cell. He searched frantically under the ring and eventually pulled out his trusty sledgehammer. He stared at it as if hypnotised. Batista slowly made his way back down to the floor, dropping the last few feet. He crawled back in the ring where Triple H was lying in wait. He pulled himself up and got slapped around by Triple H. The Game went to use the sledgehammer, but Batista ducked and hit the challenger with a spinebuster. Batista then signalled for the Batista Bomb, but Triple H had the sledgehammer in hand and used it in mid-powerbomb to knock down Batista. Both challengers were out of it. Triple H slowly pulled himself across the mat and dangled an arm over Batista. The referee counted - 1, 2, no! Batista miraculously kicked out. Triple H then went for a Pedigree again, but Batista powered out and shoved Triple H out of the ring. Batista psyched himself up, pulling the top rope up and down. He signalled for another Batista Bomb, but Triple H had walked out of the cell again. Batista chased after him. Triple H started to climb above the door, but Batista stopped him and pulled him off the cage with a Batista Bomb onto the protective mats! Triple H's head snapped back and he looked to be unconscious. Batista dropped into the cover and the referee counted to 3. The crowd went wild as Batista lifted up his championship belt. The Animal climbed back up to the top of the cell and raised the title in victory. The pay-per-view ended with the image of Batista atop the cell, bloody, but still with the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE RAW Preview

June 27th, 2005

Last night at Vengeance we witnessed a brutal Hell In A Cell match that ended with Batista as the winner and still World Heavyweight Champion. He'll more than likely have something to say on the matter as he has now overcome the challenge of Triple H three times.

Christian left Tyson Tomko to feel the wrath of the Crippler Crossface just 24 hours ago, what does this mean for the pair? We'll find out on RAW.

The World Tag Team Championship changed hands at Vengeance and the previous holders (Rosey & Hurricane) have invoked their rematch clause already! They will meet Simon System in tag team title action.

Eddie Guerrero came out with a victory at the pay-per-view, but only by DQ when he was attacked by Rey Mysterio. Will Eddie be at RAW, and if so what will he have to say about Rey?

The Intercontinental Championship also changed hands last night when Muhammad Hassan came away with the belt. Hassan will have something to say as Jim Ross interviews the new champion.

Kane overcame Edge at Vengeance, but was thrown off the stage into a firey heap by Mr. Money In The Bank. Kane will not be on RAW for obvious reasons, but Edge is scheduled to make an appearance.

And of course, the WWE Draft Lottery 2005 comes to an end this week with both RAW and Smackdown! getting two picks each. The new RAW arrivals will be revealed!

Catch RAW this Monday night for all the Vengeance fallout and much more!

Confirmed Matches:

World Tag Team Championship: Hurricane & Rosey vs. Simon System ©

Here are my Vegeance thoughs...Writing as I read.

Christian not winning came as a shock to me. I'm pretty disapointed he didn't win as I don't see what Benoit winning acomplished.

Next Hemme vs. Victoria. Christy wins, not really a surprise. I guess your upping her wrestling abilites for a Title run later?

Simon System beats the Super Heros for the belts, not much of a surprise for me. I'm looking forward to see if you can expand Maven and Dean characters making there title win worthwhile.

Eddie Defeats Jericho by DQ, wow. I thought Eddie had the match in the bag and then boom! Rey Rey comes out and attacks which came as a HUGE suprise to me...I wonder what will happen next?

The Shelton and Muhammed match right after that. Shelton getting the first fall so quickly pretty much signs his name as the winner, doesn't it? Muhammed wins the second fall, so quick aswell...This match has got to have a big third fall. Well it wasn't a big third fall but did bring a new champion. I don't like the decsion of Hassan winning there and I don't like the way the match happened so fast...This better not lead to a Shelton de-push <_<

Kane winning was another disapointment in my mind but it was a well written match...

The after match attack was going to bring Kane back but then he was killed by Edge...why would you just have that done during the match?

The next match, The Hell In A Cell. This match will make or break the card...so lets get it on! A very well written match that gave a result I wanted. Hopefully we won't see HHH for awhile after the Batista Bomb, which will allow some new things on Raw.

I kinda liked Vegeance, it was well written but not totally well booked. TEW liked it giving you an 80 which is like a 8/10 and I will give you a 7/10 due to the lack of things I really liked.

I think it was good for you to get your first PPV out of the way which will allow you to create some new storylines now that the first PPV is out of the way...

Guest Prototype

Really good PPV. I was surpsied Benoit won, but he was deserving as Christian was. Surprised to see Rey make an appearance. Kane being thrown in fire was cool and hopefully can lead to a resurgence of his character. Dont know about suspending Taker. Hopefully you have better plans than that for him. Muhammad and Simon System are both acceptable champions, and I was glad Batista retained. Hopefully its the last Batista vs Triple H match we'll see for a while.

RAW Stars Having Problems?

June 27th, 2005

Our sources have told us that backstage recently on RAW there have been some arguments between Christian and Jim Ross. It sounds unlikely, but apparently they have grown to dislike one another and some say this indicates that one of the two will be drafted to Smackdown! this Thursday (most likely Christian). We'll keep you up to date with this story as we get more on it.

Segment 1: The Sweep Is Complete

(9 Minutes)

RAW began, just 24 hours after Vengeance, with Batista making an appearance. The crowd went wild as Batista' music blasted around the arena and the World Heavyweight Champion got into the ring, title on his shoulder. The Animal grabbed a microphone and spoke to the crowd. He said that Triple H was right... they both went to Hell last night, but Batista was the one who came back with the World Heavyweight title. He then showed the footage of him Batista Bombing Triple H to get the win at Vengeance. The champion then went on to say that he had swept Triple H three - zero. Their rivalry was finished and Batista had no intentions of losing the title now, he said.

Overall Rating = 66.7%

Segment 2: The Draft Will Finish Where It Started

(4 Minutes)

We went backstage to Eric Bischoff's office. The GM was there, looking into the camera. He recapped the 2005 Draft Lottery so far, reminding us who RAW had acquired and who had been lost. He then said the Draft Lottery will finish where it started - in the Highlight Reel. Chris Jericho would interview one of the two new RAW Superstars later on, and Bischoff would announce the other shortly.

Overall Rating = 77.4%

Segment 3: Problem Solved?

(1 Minute)

Christian was walking backstage and turned a corner, straight into Tyson Tomko. Tomko looked pissed off, obviously for Christian's actions, just leaving Tomko to suffer the Crippler Crossface at the hands of Benoit last night. Christian said he had nothing to be sorry about. Tomko was his 'Problem Solver', not the other way around. In Captain Charisma's eyes, Tomko was the one who should have been sorry, for losing Christian the match. Tomko glared at Christian and then walked away.

Overall Rating = 74.8%

Segment 4: Chris Benoit vs. Tyson Tomko

(9 Minutes)

Tomko came to the ring without Christian, but looked to be focused. Benoit's experience was the advantage in this one, with Tomko playing to the crowd too much after a sidewalk slam. This allowed Benoit to connect with three German suplexes. He then signalled for the diving headbutt, but could not capitalise once he hit it. The Crippler then went for the Crossface, but Tomko got to the ropes. Benoit made Tomko's chest red with some stinging chops. Tomko was able to come back momentarily and drilled Benoit with a big boot for a 2 count. He went for a pumphandle slam, but Benoit made an incredible reversal and locked Tomko in the Crippler Crossface. Tomko had no choice but to tap out.

Winner: Chris Benoit

Match Reaction = 72.6%

Match Quality = 73.9%

Overall Rating = 71.3%

Segment 5: Tag Team Talk

(1 Minute)

Backstage we saw former World Tag Team Champions William Regal and Tajiri talking backstage. They were talking about Vengeance and what happened. Regal said that Muhammad Hassan was a 'prat' and that he'd like to get his hands on that Intercontinental title once more. He also said 'that Daivari needs sorting out, too'. Tajiri nodded his head in agreement.

Overall Rating = 71.2%

Segment 6: Money In The Bank

(7 Minutes)

Edge made his way down to the ring, Lita by his side. As always he had his 'Money In The Bank' briefcase with him. He reminded everyone that he may have lost at Vengeance, but he destroyed Kane. Edge then showed the footage of him shoving Kane off the stage into the fire below at Vengeance. He smiled as the footage ended and then told everybody it would get even better for Edgeheads as he would win the World Heavyweight title later on. Everyone looked confused, but Edge opened his briefcase as Lita took the microphone. She said that Edge still had a World Heavyweight title shot and that he was going to use it tonight. Eric Bischoff then came out and said that Edge must be joking, after all, Batista had gone through a brutal Hell In A Cell match not even 24 hours ago. Edge responded, saying that it was the perfect time for his title shot - Batista was less than 50% of his best condition and Edge was hungry for the gold. Bischoff had no choice but to sanction the match.

Overall Rating = 75.7%

Segment 7: Draftee #4

(5 Minutes)

During a commercial break Edge and Lita returned to the backstage area while Bischoff stayed in the ring. Bischoff said it was time to reveal the first of the draft picks tonight. He said that this man was unfortunately drafted to Smackdown! last year, but he was now back where he belonged. The GM said that apart from his ECW connections, this man was an amazing superstar and possibly a future World champion. That man was Rob Van Dam! RVD then came out to the crowd's delight. He still had his knee in a brace and was limping, but he looked excited. He tagged the fans' hands as he approached the ring. He got on the microphone and said 'Mr. Monday Night' was back. RVD also said that he was proud of where he came from - E-C-W. He told Bischoff if he didn't like it, he could stick it, because RVD was back and as extreme as ever. Bischoff looked stunned as Van Dam thrust the microphone back at him and walked back up the ramp, pointing to himself with his thumbs before he left.

Overall Rating = 74.4%

Segment 8: World Tag Team Championship

The Hurricane & Rosey w/Stacy Keibler vs. Simon System (Simon Dean & Maven) ©

(10 Minutes)

The Hurricane began the match against Simon Dean and showed that he really wanted those titles back, reverting to mainly a brawling style early on. Hurricane was isolated later on in the match by the tag team champions who worked over him in the corner, double teaming him when possible. Simon Dean locked Hurricane in an abdominal stretch and joined hands with Maven to get extra leverage, putting the pressure on when the referee couldn't see. Hurricane battled out of the move and rocked Dean with a hip toss, followed up by a running hurricanrana. Hurricane tried to make the tag, but Dean grabbed his leg. Hurricane hit an enziguri and made the tag shortly before Maven tagged in. Rosey went to work on the Simon System, drilling the champs with a double clothesline, then two single clotheslines and a sidewalk slam for each. Dean then fell victim to a belly-to-belly suplex and Hurricane tagged back in. Rosey hit a backbreaker on Maven as Hurricane came off the top with a leg drop. The move got a 2 count. Hurricane drove some forearms into Maven's skull. Rosey then came back in and whipped Maven across the ring, but it was reversed and Rosey was sent flying into The Hurricane, who stumbled into a knee by Simon Dean on the apron. Maven dropkicked Rosey out of the ring and then rolled-up Hurricane for the 3. Simon System staggered from the ring, tag team titles raised above their heads.

Winners: Simon System

Match Reaction = 68.5%

Match Quality = 70.3%

Overall Rating = 69.7%

Segment 9: Interview With The Intercontinental Champion

(8 Minutes)

Jim Ross got up from his seat at the commentary table to walk to the ring, ready to interview Muhammad Hassan. J.R. introduced the new Intercontinental Champion, Muhammad Hassan and his manager Daivari, as the crowd jeered. Daivari took the microphone from J.R. and screamed something in Arabic before J.R. could start the interview. He asked Hassan what it was like to be Intercontinental Champion. Hassan responded saying that it felt good to shut the mouths of some of his 'racist critics'. He also told us that it was just the beginning of Hassan's WWE run. He had never been beaten on RAW and he intended to stay that way, making his next goal the World Heavyweight Championship.

Overall Rating = 81.1%

Segment 10: The Game Isn't Over

(10 Minutes)

Triple H made an unwelcome appearance, limping to the ring, being helped by Flair. He had a big patch across his head to help heal the cut he suffered last night. He grabbed a microphone and began to rant about Batista and the Hell In A Cell match. The Game said that again he had been cheated out of the title. He said that The Game wasn't over and Batista, miraculously, somehow got lucky 3 times. He said it would not happen a fourth and said he wanted another rematch for the title at the next pay-per-view.

Overall Rating = 100.0%

Segment 11: Another Jinx?

(5 Minutes)

Triple H was ranting in the ring, getting frustrated and starting to yell and spit as he proclaimed he deserved another title shot. At that moment Shelton Benjamin stunned us all by making his way down to the ring. The former Intercontinental Champion wasn't in the best mood and he grabbed a microphone. He said that Triple H didn't even deserve the rematch he got at Backlash. He said that Triple H had two jinxes. The first being that he could not beat Batista. The second being that he has never beaten Shelton Benjamin. He then challenged Triple H to a match next week on RAW.

Overall Rating = 80.1%

Segment 12: No Thanks

(6 Minutes)

'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair then took the microphone and asked Shelton if he was crazy. He then asked Triple H if he had any jinxes, to which The Game answered no. Triple H said that Batista beating him three times was extreme luck and that it would never happen again. He then declined Shelton's challenge to a match, saying that he had nothing to prove to Benjamin. Triple H and Flair then left the ring, laughing at Shelton.

Overall Rating = 98.1%

Segment 13: Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian

(13 Minutes)

Christian came out without Tyson Tomko. The match went back and forth, the momentum changing repeatedly. Shelton looked for a Stinger Splash, but got nothing but turnbuckle and then fell victim to a DDT and a 2 count. Christian wore down Shelton with a headlock on the mat, but Benjamin battled back and attempted a back drop. Christian flipped out of the move, landing on his feet and then went for the Unprettier. Shelton countered and shoved Christian through the ropes and to the outside. He then jumped over the top rope and landed on Christian. The battle came back to the ring and Christian looked for a top-rope hurricanrana. Shelton reversed, holding onto the top rope while Christian completed the move on thin air, landing on the canvas. Shelton then connected with a flying clothesline and a 2 count. He hit the Stinger Splash but was then distracted as Triple H re-appeared, Sledgehammer in hand. The referee climbed out of the ring to try and stop Triple H coming to the ring. As he did, Ric Flair slid the ring bell to Christian. Shelton turned straight into the ring bell. Christian disposed of the bell and then got the 3 count. Triple H and Flair stared down Shelton after the match as they retreated up the ramp.

Winner: Christian

Segment 14: Eddie Wants Rey

(2 Minutes)

We saw Eddie Guerrero walking backstage. He entered Bischoff's office with a nasty look on his face. He demanded that Eric Bischoff work out a trade with Theodore Long so that Eddie could go back to Smackdown! and beat the hell out of Mysterio. Bischoff looked a bit scared, but told Eddie that he couldn't do that, Eddie was a valuable asset to RAW now and he was not going to lose him to Smackdown!. Eddie breathed heavily and threw the lamp from Bischoff's desk at the wall and kicked over a plant before storming out.

Overall Rating = 81.7%

Segment 15: The Highlight Reel

(6 Minutes)

Chris Jericho made his way to the ring and introduced everybody to The Highlight Reel. He said he was disappointed that he lost last night, but he enjoyed watching Eddie 'getting his ass kicked by Rey Mysterio'. He then told the final RAW draft pick to 'come on down'. After a dramatic pause, Big Show stormed out onto the stage. He looked around as the crowd cheered. Jericho asked Big Show how it felt to be on RAW. Show said that it sucked and said he was in the same boat as Eddie Guerrero. He wanted to be back on Smackdown! so he could finish off Carlito and Matt Morgan. Jericho then laughed and told Big Show he was on the better show now, anyway, and that he should just forget about some losers that he'd left behind on Smackdown!. Jericho's words only seemed to anger the Big Show, who promptly kicked over the stools and tore down The Highlight Reel set. Jericho tried to stop him, but just got shrugged off. Show left the ring with the crowd booing him.

Overall Rating = 76.2%

Segment 16: Main Event

World Heavyweight Championship

Batista © vs. Edge

(12 Minutes)

Batista was obviously not at his best and Edge took advantage, re-opening the wound on Batista's head quickly. He choked Batista numerous times in the ropes. Edge hit the champion with an Edge-O-Matic for a 2 count before applying the Edgecator. Batista managed to get to the ropes. Batista then got an adrenaline rush, knocking down the challenger with clotheslines, shoulder blocks and a big kick to the face, sending Edge out of the ring. Batista slammed Edge into the timekeeper's table and then threw him shoulder-first into the steps. He grabbed a table and set it up on the outside. He looked to Batista Bomb his opponent through it, but Edge countered with punches while in mid-powerbomb. Back in the ring Edge went for a hurricanrana but was hit with a Batista Bomb. The champion didn't have enough energy to capitalise on the move. Both men got to their feet and Edge was the victim of a powerful spinebuster. Batista went for the Batista Bomb again, but Edge scouted it and back dropped Batista over the top rope and through the table that was put there earlier. Edge fell to the mat, exhausted as Batista lay motionless amongst the remains of the table. The referee counted Batista out as Edge tried to recover in the corner. The bell was rung, awarding the victory to Edge by count-out. Edge looked shocked and threatened the referee - he wasn't champion on a count-out. He turned and speared the referee. Lita tried to calm him down, but she was shoved away. Edge then went to the outside where Batista was recovering. He grabbed a chair and waffled Batista with numerous shots to the body. Edge stood over Batista amongst the table remains, chair in hand and a crazy look on his face as RAW went off the air.

Winner: Edge (via Count-Out)

Good show, I didn't like how short the matches where (as in minutes not writing) but the outcomes where fine. It looks like a Shelton/HHH feud is starting up which is good to get Shelton some Overness even if he ends up getting buried (hopefully not)

I enjoyed the show and I'm excited to see what RVD and Big Show do on Raw as well as to see what happens on SD! Who gets drafted there? and if anyone gets traded?

On last night's edition of Xplosion, 3 Live Kru member Konnan beat Christopher Daniels for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. BG James and Ron Killings were there to aid their stable-mate in getting the victory over Daniels. Will Konna's run as Heavyweight Champion be a long and fruitful one, or will it be short-lived? Stay tuned to TNA to find out.

Guest Prototype

Good Raw. An extended Batista/Edge feud should be good. I also like the idea og HHH vs Shelton. IT will keep Trips out of the title picture and give Shelton a rub. Hope RVD gets the push he deserves.

WWE Smackdown! Preview

June 30th, 2005

Last Monday night on RAW, Smackdown! lost Big Show and Rob Van Dam via the Draft Lottery. Who will Smackdown! acquire with the final two picks of the 2005 Draft Lottery? We'll find out on Thursday!

Thanks to Big Show's departure to RAW, Carlito and Matt Morgan will not have to face Big Show this week. The duo should be in good moods.

Last week a tournament to determine a number one contender to Paul London's Cruiserweight Championship began with Psychosis and Rey Mysterio advancing. The tournament continues on Thursday.

Over the last couple of weeks we have seen clips of the Dudley Boyz who make their return to Smackdown! next week. Will we see any more of the legendary tag team this week?

Kurt Angle challenged Booker T to a cage match this week to finally end their rivalry. If Kurt wins, he may well have his way with Sharmell, but if Booker wins, Angle's obsession will be denied forever. Watch Smackdown! this Thursday as the two clash inside the cage in the main event.

The new United States Champion Lance Storm will be in action this week as he takes on Charlie Haas in a non-title match.

Shawn Michaels was Smackdown!'s third Draft Lottery pick and he teamed with The Rock and John Cena to defeat The Cabinet last week. We'll witness the fallout from this bout.

Don't miss Smackdown! this Thursday on UPN!

Confirmed Matches:

Steel Cage Match - Booker T vs. Kurt Angle

Non-Title - Charlie Haas vs. Lance Storm

Segment 1: WWE Cruiserweight Championship #1 Contender Tournament - Quarter Final

Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Super Crazy

(9 Minutes)

This week Smackdown! kicked off with some exciting cruiserweight action as the third semi-final in the number one contender tournament took place. Super Crazy made his WWE debut, shocking the fans in attendance by making an appearance. Super Crazy stunned Scotty 2 Hotty early on with some spectacular moves including a unique arm drag and a hurricanrana pin for a 2 count. Scotty came back with some offense, though, drilling his opponent with a suplex and a bulldog. The bulldog set Super Crazy up perfectly for The Worm, which Scotty hit. Crazy got his foot on the ropes to stop the count. Scotty then went for a DDT, but the move was reversed by Crazy into a Northern Lights suplex and a 2 count. Super Crazy then connected with a German suplex and pounded down on Scotty with a 10-punch combo in the corner. Crazy then slammed Scotty to the mat and hit a moonsault from the bottom rope. He then hit a moonsault from the second rope and then the top rope, completing the trifecta. The 3 count followed and Super Crazy advanced to the semi finals in an impressive debut victory.

Segment 2: Carlito's Cabana

(11 Minutes)

Carlito made his way to the ring with a big smile on his face. He revealed that he was smiling about Big Show being drafted to RAW because now he didn't have to deal with the 'big waste of space'. He then introduced his guest on the Cabana tonight - The Rock! Rocky came down to the ring to a huge ovation. Carlito told The Rock that Smackdown! was not The Rock's show because Rock wasn't 'cool enough'. Rock stopped Carlito with a hand and then proclaimed that he had 'come back to North Carolina' before insulting Carlito. He said it looked like Carlito had a dead animal on his head. He then grabbed Carlito's apple and chucked it in the air a few times, mimicking Carlito. JBL's music then hit and The Cabinet made their way to the ring. JBL said he agreed with Carlito, Smackdown! was not The Rock's show. He insulted Rock some more and then all four Cabinet members jumped Rock, beating him down in the corner.

Overall Rating = 72.4%

Segment 3: Four On One

(5 Minutes)

The assault on The Rock by The Cabinet continued as Carlito stood aside, just watching. Rock was held up by the Bashams as JBL talked smack and hit him with a big boot. Orlando Jordan then brought a steel chair into the ring and JBL cracked it over Rock's head, busting him open. To finish off the assault JBL nearly took Rock's head off with the Clothesline From Hell. The Cabinet walked back up the aisle, raising their arms in The Cabinet's symbol as a bloody Rock tried to get to his feet in the ring.

Overall Rating = 75.9%

Segment 4: An 'Extreme' Reunion?

(2 Minutes)

Backstage we saw Lance Storm getting ready in the locker room, U.S. title belt next to him on the bench. Dawn Marie walked in and offered her 'services' to Lance, saying that they were great together in ECW and they could be great together right here on Smackdown!. The United States Champion said he'd have to think about it.

Overall Rating = 65.6%

Segment 5: Sneak Attack

(3 Minutes)

Charlie Haas' music hit and he came out from behind the curtain. As he made his way to the ring, he was jumped by Lance Storm. Storm beat down on Haas with punches and drilled him with a snap suplex on the outside before the match could even get into the ring and be started. Michael Cole and Tazz commented that something had come over Storm, it was very unlike him to do something like this.

Overall Rating = 71.2%

Segment 6: (Non-Title)

Charlie Haas vs. Lance Storm

(14 Minutes)

Charlie Haas began the match with an obvious disadvantage due to Storm's pre-match assault. Storm got in a couple of near falls in the early going because of Haas' weakened state. Haas battled out of a headlock and went to back drop Storm, but the U.S. Champion flipped out and dropkicked Haas to the back of the head, sending him out of the ring. Outside the ring, Storm rocked Haas with another suplex and a flapjack onto the commentators' table. Storm rolled his opponent into the ring and got a 2 count. Storm then locked on a fujiwara armbar, but Haas was able to get to the ropes quickly. Lance grabbed Haas and locked him in an abdominal stretch, using the ropes to add extra pressure when the referee wasn't looking. Haas took advantage of Storm playing to the crowd while performing the submission move, and dropped him with a Russian leg sweep. Haas then hit a splash in the corner and connected with a belly-to-belly suplex which was followed by a fisherman's suplex with a 2 count. Haas tried to lock on the Haas Of Pain, but Storm wriggled out and missed his super kick, only to be drilled with a super kick from Haas. Haas went to capitalise, but was distracted as Dawn Marie walked down to the ring. She got onto the apron and started to yell at the referee as Storm hit a low blow on Haas. Marie dropped off the apron and the referee turned back to the match to see Haas tapping out to the Canadian Maple Leaf (single-leg crab). Storm exited the ring and was given his title by the referee. Haas looked on as Storm posed with Dawn. Tazz commented that it looked like Storm had agreed to have Dawn Marie as his valet once again.

Segment 7: A-List Superstars

(3 Minutes)

The WWE Tag Team Champions Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro made their way to the ring with Melina. They each got a turn on the microphone and said that they were 'a-list superstars' and the tag team champions, yet all they were hearing is talk about the Dudley Boyz. They insisted that they were the center of attention, everybody's eyes should be on them, not on some washed-up tag team called the Dudleyz.

Overall Rating = 57.4%

Segment 8: Targets: MNM

(6 Minutes)

As MNM were talking in the ring, the screen showed the Dudley Boyz. They were standing in a dark place but we could just about make out concrete behind them. Bubba Ray reminded MNM that they were the only team in history to hold the WWE, WCW and ECW Tag Team Titles - MNM were just the 'new kids on the block'. D-Von then said that the Dudleyz were eager to hold those WWE Tag Team Championship straps once again. He then said that when the Dudleyz returned to Smackdown! next week, those belts would be their targets, which means MNM will be their targets. Bubba Ray asked if MNM knew what it was like to be put through a table. He didn't wait for an answer though, saying that they would know what it felt like soon enough. The video ended with the Dudleyz saying that they would see MNM next week.

Overall Rating = 69.3%

Segment 9: Draft Pick #4 Appears

(5 Minutes)

Paul London made his way down to the ring and grabbed a microphone. He said he had been watching the Cruiserweight tournament very closely and he was impressed. He said he couldn't wait to face the winner at the Great American Bash for the Cruiserweight Championship. London informed the crowd that he had come out to ringside to witness the fourth quarter final match up close and personal. At that moment, Rhyno jumped into the ring out of nowhere. London turned around and got viciously Gored. Cole and Tazz went crazy as London was kicked out of the ring, holding his abdomen. Rhyno picked up the microphone and told the crowd that he was officially a Smackdown! superstar. The crowd jeered as Rhyno exited the ring and left.

Overall Rating = 67.7%

Segment 10: WWE Cruiserweight Championship #1 Contender Tournament - Quarter Final

Juventud vs. Billy Kidman

(10 Minutes)

Michael Cole pointed out to the viewers that Juventud and Kidman clashed a few times back in WCW and that they knew each other pretty well. Juventud was making his Smackdown! debut. Kidman had the strength advantage and showed it with some big slams early on. Juventud managed to reverse a body slam into a head scissors takedown and followed up with a drop toe-hold and a dropkick to the face. Kidman rolled out of the ring for a breather, but didn't get much of one as Juvi leaped over the top rope and landed on him. The action then went back into the ring, with Juventud going up top. 'The Juice' was cut off, though, as Kidman joined him on the top rope. Juventud flipped over his opponent with a sunset flip for a one count. Kidman rolled out and connected with a vicious kick to Juvi's head. Kidman then hit some forearms and shot Juventud into the ropes, nailing him with the B-K Bomb for a near fall. Kidman then dragged his opponent to the corner in position for the Shooting Star Press. Kidman missed the move and then was rolled up for a 3 count - the referee didn't see Juvi's feet on the ropes.

Overall Rating = 77.8%

Segment 12: The Captain Speaks

(10 Minutes)

Teddy went backstage as Christian approached the ring. He looked around at the Smackdown! crowd and grabbed a microphone. He said that Smackdown! was quite a change for him. He pointed out the different commentators, the different fans and the different set. One thing was the same though, and that was that he was still 'Captain Charisma'. He then announced his intentions to quickly propel himself to the top of the order on Smackdown!. He said that to do that, he had to do one thing - call out the WWE Champion, John Cena. Cena came out to a huge ovation and the WWE Champion got into the ring. Christian started to talk, but Cena interrupted. Cena told Christian that he wasn't in Cena's league. RAW is very different to Smackdown!, said the champ, and it was time for Christian to sink or swim. Christian said he could beat Cena any day of the week and then insulted him some more. The WWE Champion told Christian that if he 'wants some, come get some!'. A brawl then erupted between the two superstars. Cena got the upper hand, but Christian came back and both had to be seperated by officials.

Segment 14: Main Event

Steel Cage Match

Booker T w/Sharmell vs. Kurt Angle

(17 Minutes)

The steel cage was lowered to the usual 'cage music'. Kurt Angle entered first, ready for action. Sharmell wished Booker luck before he joined Angle inside the ring. Angle hopped around, warming up. As soon as the bell rang, both men circled each other. Booker went for a tie-up, but Kurt swiped Booker's legs and locked in a headlock. Angle then span away and tripped Booker again and locked on the Ankle Lock. Booker was able to kick Angle away into the corner. Angle charged and sent Booker crashing to the mat with a knee to the face. He then turned his attention to Sharmell on the outside, leaning against the cage and taunting her. Booker came from behind with some blows to Angle's back and then hit an outside crescent kick. Angle came back and rocked the Bookerman with a German suplex. Angle then trapped Booker in a body scissors and wore him down. Booker battled out and ran wild on Angle with a flurry of chops and punches. Booker then hit a vertical suplex and a leg drop for a 2 count. Booker went for the Book End, but Angle turned it into the Angle Slam, which got a near fall. Angle went for the Ankle Lock again, but Booker rolled out, throwing Angle into the cage in the process. Booker went for another kick, but missed and landed crotch-first on the top rope. Angle threw Booker into the cage but was then back body dropped into the steel. Angle tried to get back into the ring as he was stuck on the apron, but Booker stopped him with a Scissors Kick over the rope. Booker then tried to escape, climbing up the cage. Kurt saw it and destroyed Booker with an Angle Slam from the top rope. Kurt got the cover after a few seconds of recover-time, but could only get a 2. Kurt went to leave via the door, but Booker dragged him back in and levelled him with the Book End. He could not capitalise, though, and the two exchanged punches. Angle went for the Angle Slam again, but Booker escaped and hit a super kick. Booker climbed to the top of the cage and was about to escape until Kurt got up there with him. The two exchanged blows on the top of the cage. Booker tried to kick Angle away, but got caught in the Ankle Lock. Booker screamed in pain as Angle looked down at Sharmell and grinned. Booker took Angle's momentary lapse and managed to twist out of the hold, throwing Angle from the top of the cage and back onto the canvas below. Booker then slowly dropped to the outside for the win.

Sharmell helped Booker back and they raised their arms in celebration as Angle looked on from the ring, disappointed with himself.

(6 Minutes)

As Booker T and Sharmell were making their way back up the aisle, Shawn Michaels' music hit and the Showstopper appeared. He apologised for interrupting Booker and Sharmell's moment of celebration, but he was on 'important business'. HBK then said that his match at WrestleMania 21 against Kurt Angle was one of the best of all time. He said it might just have been the best match in his career... except for the outcome. He then challenged Kurt Angle to a WrestleMania 21 rematch at the Great American Bash, because the fans wanted to see if they could possibly top their first performance. Angle just stared on from the ring and HBK's music played again as Smackdown! went off the air.
