RAW presents Monday Night RAW

Overall Rating: 85%

TV Rating: 5.98

Jim Ross and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler welcome you to Monday Night RAW from Cleveland, Ohio.

Batista’s music hits, and he comes down to the ring in a suit, carrying his World Heavyweight belt over his shoulder. He reaches the ring and, suddenly, loads of superstars walk down the aisle. They climb into the ring, and congratulate Batista on his win at Backlash last night. Various superstars take a microphone and say how Batista is, truly, a great champion. These congratulations go on for another couple of minutes, but they are rudely interrupted when Evolution’s music hits, and Triple H strolls onto the stage, accompanied by Tyson Tomko. Triple H stares at Batista, before a sly smile breaks out across The Game’s face, and he claps his hands a few times. Tomko then hands him a microphone. Triple H says "To start off, I would like to congratulate Batista on his second successive title defence. Batista is truly showing to the world that he is a great World Heavyweight Champion." The Game pauses, as boos ring out around the arena. He then says "However, Batista might be a great World Heavyweight Champion, but he isn’t the Greatest. For Batista to be the greatest, he has to beat The Game, Triple H. Then, Batista can be considered One of the Greatest Champions Ever. If Batista wants to be considered as a great champion, he must stop hanging around with losers like the green power ranger, The Hurricane, and a Hugh Grant wannabee, William Regal." Triple H then throws the microphone in the direction of the ring and, as his music plays, Triple H walks off, with Tomko in tow, leaving Batista and the other faces in the ring, fuming. 85%

A video is played, hyping Randy Orton’s dramatic victory over the Undertaker last night at Backlash. 85%

Triple H is laughing with Flair and Tomko about his jokes about the Hurricane and William Regal, when Christian comes into the locker room, looking quite upset. Flair asks him what’s wrong, and Christian says that he is distraught that he lost his chance at winning the World Heavyweight title. Triple H says tells him not to worry, and the Game says that he will get another shot when Triple H wins the World title at the next pay-per-view, if Christian can prove to HHH that he is worthy of another shot. Christian eagerly asks what he has to do to prove himself and, after a bit of thought, HHH says that he has to beat the Undertaker. Christian thanks HHH, and quickly leaves the locker room, leaving the rest of Evolution with smirks on their faces. 84%

1st Match: Booker T vs Sylvain Grenier. This was a short match, which Booker T dominated from the start to finish. After beating down Grenier with a range of powerful moves, Booker hit the Book End and the Scissors Kick to win the match. However, after the match, Kane runs into the ring and hits Booker with a Chokeslam, before taunting Booker. 80%

Chris Jericho introduces the Highlight Reel, and today’s guest, Ric Flair. Jericho tries to do an interview, but all Flair talks about is how Jericho is massively overrated and how Flair has won the World title 15 times more than Jericho. Jericho gets annoyed with Flair, and tells him to shut up, as he is way past his wrestling best. Flair laughs, and then hits Jericho with a right hand, before whacking Y2J with the chair that he was sitting on. As Jericho writhes in pain on the floor, Flair plays to the crowd, who boo him. 98%

2nd Match: The Undertaker vs Muhammed Hassan. This was a surprisingly good match, with Hassan causing Taker more problems than was expected. However, the expected outcome occurred when Taker hit a Chokeslam and a Tombstone Piledriver to win the match. After the match, Christian runs out of the crowd and climbs the turnbuckle. He attempts a flying cross-body, but Taker catches him, and turns him into a Tombstone position, he hits him with the Tombstone piledriver. 80%

Triple H is backstage, and he walks into Batista. They go face to face, and Triple H asks him if he is ready for The Game. Batista says that it is going to be the easiest match of his career, and he turns away. Batista starts to walk away, when Triple H attacks him from behind. 88%

Christian is in the ring with a microphone. He calls out Undertaker, but there is no reply. So he then starts to make fun of the Undertaker, saying that he is a ginger monster who needs a zima frame to go anywhere and has to take his pills before he can wrestle a match. However, Undertaker still does not show himself, so Christian throws the microphone down and he storms to the back, going to look for the Dead Man. 81%

Kane is walking backstage, when Booker T confronts him. Booker asks why Kane attacked him earlier, and Kane grabs Booker by the throat and says that he is going to get revenge for Booker costing him the No.1 Contender’s match at Backlash. Kane tosses Booker into the wall and carries on walking. However, Booker runs at Kane with a chair, but Kane turns around in time to big boot the chair back into Booker’s face, busting him. Kane laughs sadistically, before turning and leaving Booker covered in blood on the corridor floor. 86%

3rd Match: Chris Jericho vs Christian. This was an early contender for match-of-the-year, with both wrestlers combining their skills perfectly to put on a fantastic spectacle. However, the match ended on a sour note when Ric Flair interfered and blasted Jericho with the ring bell, allowing Christian to pick up the win. As Christian and Flair beat down Jericho, the arena went dark, and The Undertaker’s theme music played. Christian left Jericho to Flair, and he ran out of the ring, and escaped through the crowd. Taker came down the aisle and tossed an unaware Flair out of the ring, allowing Jericho to escape, before Taker followed Christian’s route through the crowd, looking for Christian. 93%

4th Match: Batista vs Randy Orton. This was an adequate main event, as the champion displayed some of his exceptional powerful moves and Orton showed how he is a contender to be the next champion. The match ended in a DQ win for Batista when Triple H interfered and attacked the champion, who was about to hit the ‘Tista Bomb on Orton. Triple H hit Batista with a pedigree, before retrieving a sledgehammer from under the ring, and hitting Batista with the weapon. 83%

Triple H hit the champion in the mid-section a couple of more times before he left the ring, and the show ended with Batista lying in the ring, and Triple H taunting him up the ramp.

WWE Smackdown!

"ITS NOT MY FAULT!...HEIDEN...HEIDENREICH" The pyro expoded, and the WWE Tag Team champions made their way down to the ring, with serious looks on their faces. Who could tell how many poems were to be read, or babies were to be killed on this edition of Smackdown!?

Heidenreich grabbed the mike and addressed the crowd "Last week...was a bad week. The Snitsky search got off to a bad start. As a matter of fact, Gene is so upset over the events of last week that he hasnt spoken since. I've tried everything! Poems about babies, poems about Kane, even poems about Heidenreich. But none have worked. This shall change now, as we present, round two of the...SNITSKY SEARCH!"

At that, the cabinets music played, and The Basham Brothers made their way down to the ring as Snitsky and Heidenreich shot each other confused glances, and Heidenreich spoke "You two do realise that were not looking to become the next Hart Foundation, we only want...one..brother" Doug grabbed the mike out of Heidenreichs hand and clocked him over the head, before Snitsky could respond, he got a low blow off Danny. The Bashams picked Heidenreich up and threw him out of the ring, and delivered a spike piledriver to Snitsky, before leaving the ring celebrating.

We went from one set of Cabinet members to another, as JBL appeared on the Titantron, and he explained that it was with his deepest regret that he would be unable to make the show tonight, due to the beating that he received off Raven on Velocity.

1st Match: Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas vs. Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns. This was a number one contenders match for Poetic Accidents tag team titles. It was your standard tag team fare, with the action going back and forth between the two teams, however before the match had chance to get into much of a flow, it was interrupted by the Basham Brothers, who were clearly pleased with themselves for their earlier attack on the tag champs. As soon as the Bashams hit the ring, the referee threw the match out, and declared it a no contest, leaving no number one contenders.

A three way brawl ensued, all the way to the back.

72%

2nd Match: Carlito Carribean Cool vs. Orlando Jordan (C). This was for Orlando's United States title, and allowed Carlito to finally get his shot, after being number one contender for weeks. Carlito started out on the offensive, dominating Orlando, first whipping im into the corner, and following it up with a clothesline. Carlito continued to beat on Orlando, and looked to have the title secured after a Hurricanrana off the turnbuckle, but mark Jindrak appeared out of nowhere to pull the ref out of the ring. Whilst the referees back was turned, Orlando hit a low blow on Carlito, and rolled him up, the ref got back in the ring, and counted the three.

The Big Show is shown backstage warming up, when Kidman appears in the doorway. Big Show tells him to leave him alone, only to have Raven come up behind him and level him with a crate. The Big Show fell o the floor, and Raven held him down, whilst Kidman climbed on a table, and hit a Shooting Star Press and left Big Show down on the floor.

3rd Match: Billy Kidman vs. Funaki. Fresh from the brutal attack on the Big Show, Billy Kidman entered the ring to face off with Funaki. Funaki was made short work of, and beaten in just five minutes thanks to an armdrag off the top followed by a Shooting Star Press for the three.

After the match, Kidman picked the mike up, and demanded that Paul London come out to defend his title, however there was no answer. Kidman then announced that if he didnt get to face London at Judgement Day, he would have to take the title himself.

75%

4th Match: John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels. This was a non title match, that was signed as friendly competition between two men who respect each other. The two put on a suprisingly technical contest. Shawn kicked out of an F-U, and Cena got Superkicked close enough to the ropes to get his leg on them. Shawn dragged Cena away from the ropes and went for his elbow drop, only for Cena to roll out of the way. As Michales clawed up, Cena hit a chop block, and lifted Shawn up for the F-U, only for Shawn to fight out and hit the Sweet Chin Music again! Both men were down on the canvas, and Charles Robinson started a ten count. Angle made his way down to the ring and pulled Shawn out of the ring, and hit the Angle Slam on the outside behind the ref's back. Angle drew the refs attention to Shawn, and the ref counted him out, gifting Cena a count out victory.

Angle hit an Angle Slam on Cena, before rolling Shawn into the ring, and working on his ankle. This brought RVD out, who continued his estranged relationship with Michaels by scaring Angle off with a chair and then throwing the chair down at Shawn in disgust, and leaving.

83%

5th Match: Number One Contendership: Raven vs. Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge. This match was an all out brawl, there were no disqualifications, no count outs, and elimination rules. Edge and Eddie worked as a team like they had been doing for the last couple of weeks, targeting Benoit for the first couple of minutes, with Raven just slouching in the corner, watching the action unfold. This however left Raven open to assault, as Edge caught him off guard with a dropkick to the face from nowhere. A fuming Raven then clotheslined Edge over the top, and left Benoit and Guerrero to chain wrestle in the ring, Raven whipped Edge into the steel steps, and then threw the announcer off his chair and used that to blast Edge with, butsing him open. Raven turned around and was met with a vicious clothesline from JBL who had just come through the crowd! JBL rolled Raven into the ring, and then hit Edge with the chair again, before leaving the way he'd came. Guerrero and Benoit took advantage of this opening, and Benoit hit his diving heabutt, then Guerrero hut his frog splash, and Raven was elminated.

Benoit suggested to Guerrero that they should eliminated Edge next, as he was still struggling to get up on the outside. Guerrero nodded and Benoit climbed outside. As Benoit approached Edge, he sprung at him and hit the spear! Edge struggled back into the ring, and Guerrero patted him on the back, before going out after Benoit. Eddie, picked up the chair, and cracked it full force over Benoit's head, and rolled him into the ring, where Edge covered him for three.

Guerrero worked over his injured friend, whipping him back and forth between the turnbuckles, and continually working the back of Edge. Guerrero set Edge up for a superplex, only for Edge to turn it into a cross body in mid air! Edge stumbled up, and the crowd started to get behind the heel. As Guerrero struggled up, Edge got in position for the Spear. Edge charged, but Guerrero moved, and winced as Edges shoulder connected with the steel of the turnbuckle. Guerrero rolled Edge up, and stuck his feet on the ropes, winning the match, and the number one contendership

RAW presents Monday Night RAW

Overall Rating: 80%

TV Rating: 6.04

Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler welcome you to Monday Night RAW, live from Houston, Texas.

'Have a Nice Day' sounds around the arena as Mick Foley walks down to the ring with a microphone, to a standing ovation from the crowd. Foley gets in the ring and plays to the crowd before saying “Tonight, the WWE will witness the birth of a superstar and, possibly, a future World Champion. I've had his eye on this 'kid' for a while, and I expects nothing but great things from this guy.” (Pause) “Ladies and gentleman, it is my honour, as a living Hardcore Legend (big pop), to welcome…Frankie Kazarian to Monday Night RAW.” Kazarian appears on the stage and he walks down to the ring. He enters the ring, to a fairly decent reception from the fans, and he shakes hands with Foley before taking the mic and saying “I am very grateful for the massive chance that Mick and the WWE have given me, and I intend to grab it with both hands.” He then hands the mic back to Foley before playing to the crowd a bit more.

However, before Kazarian leaves the arena, Muhammed Hassan appears on the stage, and he says into a microphone “Once again, all of you are cheering for another American wannabe, who you’ve never seen wrestle, and is very probably yet another ordinary, American wrestler.” He then says, “When superior wrestlers come along, like me, you all automatically boo, just because I am from a foreign country, which has a different culture to the greedy, capitalist culture of the USA. Once again, I will have to shut you ALL up, by beating yet another one of your people in the ring.” Hassan then drops the mic, and runs into the ring, where Kazarian is waiting for him. 78%

1st Match: Frankie Kazarian vs Muhammed Hassan. This was a decent match for Kazarian, on his debut. He showed some of the quality that attracted the attention of the WWE. However, the contest was undermined by Hassan's constant cheating. The end came when Hassan got a chair, and was about to hit Kazarian with it when Frankie reversed it, and he sent Hassan face first into the chair with a drop toe hold. Kazarian hit the Wave of the Future to pick up the 3 count. Kazarian then celebrated, while Hassan stumbled to the back. 61%

Eric Bischoff is in the ring. He says “Last night, I took the time to watch RAW from 2 weeks ago, when Triple H faced Booker T and Kane for the No.1 Contendership for Batista's World Heavyweight championship. Now, I accept that Triple H was adjudged to have pinned Booker, and that The Game then went on to beat Kane at Backlash to become the No.1 Contender. However…Triple did not beat Booker T fairly, as he hit him with a sledgehammer. So, tonight, I have decided to give Booker T another chance... tonight, Triple H will defend his No.1 Contendership against Booker T.” 76%

Christian comes to the ring, accompanied by a midget who is dressed like the Undertaker. Christian has a microphone, and he challenges Taker to come out and face him in the ring. However, when there is no answer, Christian taunts the Undertaker, saying that he is scared of Christian, because Christian is a much, much better wrestler. When Taker still does not appear, Christian throws a tantrum, and he hits the midget with the microphone, before hitting him with the Unprettier and storming out of the ring. 83%

2nd Match: Ric Flair and Tyson Tomko vs Regal and Eugene. This match was for Flair and Tomko's World Tag Team Titles. This was a match dominated by Tyson Tomko, using his sheer strength to dominate Eugene, while Flair used his vast experience to stop Eugene from tagging in William Regal. However, a surprising end came when Chris Jericho ran down to the ring and hit Flair with the running Enziguri, oblivious to the referee, and Y2J then put a battered Eugene over Flair and handed Regal and Eugene the win, aswell as costing Flair and Tomko the tag titles, after only holding them for a week and a bit. Jericho backs up the ramp, laughing at an incensed Flair in the ring. 77%

Eric Bischoff is in the ring again, wearing a sly smile on his face. He has a mic, and says “I was sitting in my office backstage just now, and I suddenly had a brain wave regarding tonight's main event, Booker T vs Triple H. I’ve decided to make sure that no foul play occurs in the match, so I have decided to add a special guest referee in the match. Tonight, the special guest referee for Booker T vs Triple H will be...the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista.” Bischoff then turns and leaves with a sly smile on his face, as the crowd goes wild. 76%

Christian is backstage with Lillian Garcia, doing an interview. Lillian asks Christian why he is obsessed with the Undertaker, and Captain Charisma says “I am determined to prove myself, not just to Triple H, but to all the non-peeps that say that I aren't a great wreslter.” He then lays into the Undertaker, saying how he is obviously scared of facing Christian, as he doesn't answer any of his challenges. Christian then promises that he will find, and destroy, the Undertaker, before turning and heading for the arena. 80%

3rd Match: Rey Mysterio vs Christian. This was a brilliant contest, with both competitors' wrestling styles working together nicely to produce a thrilling match. However, a sour end came when Mysterio went off the top rope for a hurracanrana, but Christian hit Mysterio with a pair of brass knuckles, without the referee seeing! So Christian picked up a cheap win. However, when Christian stumbled up to the stage, the Undertaker appeared, and he chokeslammed Captain Charisma off the stage into a pile of TV equipment! 84%

Chris Jericho is walking backastage when Ric Flair hits him with a chair from behind, and then proceeds to continue beating Y2J with the steel chair, before taunting him and slapping him, before turning and leaving, while Jericho attracted the attention of EMTs and Lita. 100%

Triple H is backstage, doing an interview with the Coach. Coach asks The Game for his thought’s regarding tonight’s match, and Triple H says “Eric Bischoff is a fool. Eric Bischoff is an idiot. He admitted in front of the whole world that he saw me pin Booker T 1…2…3 in this ring 2 weeks ago. Eric Bischoff is wrong to have this match, but I won two weeks ago, and I’ll win tonight. Booker T has never won anything meaningful in his life. Anything he won, I made worthless by single-handedly putting WCW out of business, making his career totally, and utterly insignificant.” Trips then laughs, before shoving the Coach and storming off. 80%

Main Event: Triple H vs Booker T with Batista as the Special Guest Referee. This match is for the No.1 Contendership for Batista's World Heavyweight title. This was a fantastic match, as both men showed why they are considered to be worthy of a title challenge. Batista didn't do much in the way of confronting Triple H, and the match was a clean affair...until the end. Both men were down in the ring after a double clothesline, when Kane ran down to the ring. He tried to get to Booker T, but Batista got in the way, and clotheslined the Big Red Machine out of the ring. However, this clothesline allowed Tyson Tomko to run out of the crowd and hand HHH the World title belt, which Triple H used to knock out Booker, and Batista then turned round to administer the 3 count, meaning that Triple H retained his title shot at Batista. 88%

After the match, as Triple H was helped up the aisle by Tomko, Booker T shoved Batista, moaning at how he missed the blatant cheating. Batista then pointed to Kane, explaining what had happened, and then the three men squared off, and this is how RAW ended.

WWE Smackdown!

1st Match: John Cena vs. Rene Dupree. Cena opened the show tonight with a championship defense against his old rival Rene Dupree. Rene put up as much of a fight as he did in 2004, using every tactic in the book to get the upper hand on the champion. Rene looked to have the match won after a Death Valley Driver, but Cena somehow found the strength to power out at 2. Rene was clearly frustrated, and went for his patented driver, however Cena countered with an F-U for the victory.

79%

Snitsky and Heidenreich were shown backstage, with Snitsky visibly upset over the events of the last few weeks, and the apparent failure of the Snitsky search. Then a looming 6"8 monster came into view, dressed in leather pants and a leather jacket, complete with a mask. Heidenreich looked up, and stopped comforting Gene, and he approached the intruding monster. "What...do...you...want?" The monster then enquired about the Snitsky Search, John informed him it had been cancelled due to lack of interest, but said that if he wished he could tryout for them next week, and read some poetry with them until then.

60%

Shawn Michaels is walking around backstage, shouting after RVD, when Angle comes out of nowhere and thrusts a chair into the back of Shawns knee, and then proceeded to blast away at the lower leg and ankle, causing Michaels to scream in pain, before locking on the Angle Lock, and shouting that he was going to end Shawns career. RVD then came running and Angle sped away on foot. RVD went to help Michaels, but he was told to leave him alone, so he did as Shawn wished, and walked off, leaving him in agony on the floor

95%

2nd Match: Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly vs. Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns vs. The Basham Brothers. This was a rematch of the previous weeks number one contendership match, with the Bashams added into the fray. However just like the previous week on Smackdown! this match didnt have chance to start, as the Tag Team champs ran down to the ring, accompanied by the masked man who interrupted them earlier. Together they cleared the ring, hitting clotheslines left and right, before making an example of Charlie Haas, Heidenreich and Snitsky picked him up into a powerbomb position, with one of his legs on one of each big mans shoulders, and the masked man climbed the turnbuckle, and came off with a huge crossbody, splatting Haas like a fly.

72%

3rd Match: Billy Kidman vs. Rob Van Dam. These two high flyers faced off on Smackdown, after Kidman had called London out, only to be greeted by RVD instead, who more or less stumbled out after his earlier altercation with HBK. When asked if it was a match he was after, RVD just mumbled "yeah whatever" and the bell rang. Kidman showed he could go toe to toe with the ECW veteran, and on several occasions it looked like he would win. RVD got his knees up on a Shooting Star Press, and went up top for a Frog Splash, only for Raven who was at ringside, to pull on the ropes, and crotch RVD. Kidman hit a sunset flip off the top on RVD, and picked up the shock victory.

After the match, RVD picked up the mike "Yo Shawn, i thought we were partners, where were you dude? You should of been out here helping me man, not hitting it with the cliq backstage! I've had enough of your lousy friendship, were over..or something" With that RVD left the ring to a mixed reaction

85%

Carlito Carribean Cool is shown backstage with Josh Matthews: "You know what Josh, I've just been speaking to my old friend, Teddy Long." Carlito takes a bite out of his apple, "You know, this months ppv, Judgement Day?" Carlito continued before Josh had chance to answer " Me vs. Orlando, U.S. title...now thas cool" with that Carlito spat his apple at Josh, and walked off with a grin on his face.

70%

4th Match: Raven vs. John Bradshaw Layfield. Raven was clearly pissed with JBL after he got eliminated him from the battle royal last week, and he didnt waste any time in assaulting him with rights and lefts. Raven had the upperhand for the first 5 minutes, only for JBL to hit a huge clothesline out of nowhere, which left both men in a crumpled heap on the floor. Neither man was in a fit state to escape from what came next. The Big Shows music hit, and a bandaged Big Show walked down calmly, and stood in the ring as Raven and JBL struggled to their feet. When they did, they were soon on their backs again, as Big Show chokeslammed them both at once. Before announcing a three way for Judgement Day.

77%

5th Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit. This triple threat match was hotly contested between three people who had been rivals for the best part of the last 5 years. They had always put on five star matches before, and tonight was no exception, with Angle Slams, Frog Splashes and Crossfaces being traded back and forth between the three competitors. Benoit seemed to have the match won when Guerrero backdropped Angle out of the ring, and turned straight into a crossface. As Angle struggled to get into the ring, Guerrero rolled forward, pinning Benoits shoulders down, and picked up the cheap win

Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler welcome you to Monday Night RAW, live from Los Angeles, California.

Eric Bischoff is in the ring. He takes a microphone and says that he accepts the SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long's, invitation to hold a King of the Ring tournament for the PPV in June. Bischoff then says that the qualifying matches for RAW's tournament will start tonight, with four qualifying matches for the competition. 70%

1st Match: King of the Ring Qualifier: Eugene Dinsmore vs Steven Richards vs Val Venis. This was a decent opener for RAW, as all three men took full advantage of, what was a somewhat rare appearance on Prime Time TV (especially for Richards and Venis.) The contest ended when Richards hit the Superkick on Venis, only to recieve a Rock Bottom from Eugene to pick up the victory, and the first name to go into the King of the Ring tournament. 73%

Christian is in the ring and, once again, he calls out the Undertaker. To the surprise of Christian, the arena lights dim, and the Dead Man makes his way to the ring. Christian is visibly petrified, and he just stands there in total fear. The Undertaker gets into the ring, and he stares down a terrified Christian. Christian finally comes back to reality, and he throws a punch at the Undertaker, which Taker blocks, and he knocks Captain Charisma down with one punch. Christian tries to scramble away, but Taker grabs him, and he delivers a Tombstone Piledriver to Christian, before leaving the ring and walking up the aisle, while Christian lay knocked out in the ring, being attended to by EMTs. 78%

2nd Match: King of the Ring Qualifier: Frankie Kazarian vs Tajiri vs Tyson Tomko. This was quite a good match, with Kazarian and Tajiri providing most of the better wrestling, but Tomko made his presence felt with some big moves. The end came when Tajiri had Kazarian pinned, and Ric Flair ran down and pulled the referee out of the ring at a count of 2 and a half. While the referee shouted at Flair, Tomko nailed Tajiri with a steel chair, allowing him to pick up the victory, while Flair stopped Kazarian from breaking the count. 73%

Mick Foley is backstage with Bischoff, and they argue over last week's main event. Half way through their argument, however, Batista enters and requests a match against Kane tonight. Bischoff is about to agree, when Booker T walks in, saying he wants a piece of Kane. Foley then says that, tonight, Batista will face Kane and Booker T in a triple threat match. Bischoff agrees, and both superstars leave the room, happy. 91%

3rd Match: King of the Ring Qualifier: William Regal vs The Hurricane vs Muhammed Hassan. This was a good match, with all three men showing their skills (although Hassan displayed most of his cheating skills.) Regal and the Hurricane did most of the wrestling, as Hassan spent most of the match running away from his opponents. The match ended when Hassan hit Regal with the ring bell, oblivious to the referee, but then Hassan got hit with the Eye of the Hurricane, allowing the Hurricane to qualify for the King of the Ring tournament. 78%

4th Match: King of the Ring Qualifier: Shelton Benjamin vs Chavo Guerrero vs Maven vs Marty Jannetty. This was the final KOTR qualifier, and it was quite a good match, although it wasn't the best. Shelton and Chavo looked extremely superior to the other two superstars, as they spent most of the match fighting each other, entertaining the crowd thoroughly. Shelton always seemed to have the upper hand, and he duly won the match by hitting Maven with a T-Bone suplex to pick up the win, while Chavo occupied Jannetty's attention. 73%

Batista comes down to the ring with his title belt, and he says “I am willing to settle a score tonight, against Kane, which will allow me to fully concentrate on my title defence, at King Of The Ring, against The Game, Triple H.” Batista stops as Batista chants echo around the arena, before continuing “I came to the WWE to make a name for myself, and I believe that I have, as I am currently the World Heavyweight Champion. (More Batista chants) However, I now want to be considered one of the GREATEST World Heavyweight champions of all time, and if I need to beat Triple H to achieve this goal, I will do so.” This is when Triple H's music hits, and The Game enters the arena. He reaches the ring, and he stares Batista down, before taking the microphone. He says “In my eyes, Batista...you will never be considered a great World Heavyweight champion. And all that matters in this business, Batista…is what I THINK!!!” And with this, Triple H snatches the belt from Batista's shoulder and levels the champion with it. Triple H then taunts Batista, before leaving the ring. 77%

The Undertaker is walking backstage, when Christian jumps him from behind. However, Taker is able to shake off Christian's attacks, and he eventually takes control of the fight, before throwing Christian into the wall, and then chokeslamming him through a table. Taker then leaves a decimated Christian being attended to by paramedics, while Taker walks off. 87%

Main Event: Batista vs Kane vs Booker T. This was a great main event, as all three men put on a great show with a series of powerful manouveres and spectacular spots. Each man had an obvious period of dominance, but these were small, as the match was a three way brawl from start to finish. It was surprisingly fast paced considering who was involved, and there was no rest bite for any competitor, as there was always one superstar to occupy their attentions. The match ended when Booker T hit Kane with the Book End, when Batista hit Booker with an awesome spinebuster, before hitting a staggering Kane with a 'Tista Bomb to win the match. 84%

After the match, Booker and Kane squared up in the ring, while Triple H appeared on the stage to stare down Batista, and RAW ended with two pairs of superstars, intensly staring at their opponent.

I am going to post both the latest SmackDown (as Ravenjuice seems to have forgotten to post it) as well as the latest installment of RAW.

WWE Smackdown!

1st Match: Poetic Accident + ? vs. JBL and the Bashams. The Cabinet made their way down to the ring first, with JBL quietly confident that this would be a cake walk for him. Then Snitsky and Heidenreich entered, and announced that they had a new friend, he joined them on Smackdown last week, and his name is...Abyss!

Abyss ran right past his partners, and went straight for JBL, who quickly exited the ring, and sent the Bashams in to fight him, however even the two of them struggled to control this debuting monster. Heidenreich and Snitsky were clearly impressed with their new friend, and followed JBL outside, and after hitting a double suplex on the outside, threw him back into the ring, and the match began in earnest.

Snitsky and Heidenreich tagged back and forth, working over the Bashams, until Danny managed to tag JBL in, who managed to nail Snitsky with a Clothesline from Hell, this brought Heidenreich in, who was attacked by the Bashams and the three took the fight outside. Abyss came in and broke up the pin on an unconcious Snitsky. JBL brawled with Abyss, and managed to get the upper hand, and he came off the ropes going for a clothesline, only for Abyss to duck and nail JBL on his way back with a Black Hole Slam! Abyss dragged Snitsky on top, and prevented the Bashams from getting back in as the ref counted the 3.

Teddy Long comes to the ring with a microphone in his hands. First off he announces that seeing as Poetic Accident didnt want to have one number contender by stopping the mtch last week, they would have 3! At Judgement Day it would be; Poetic Accident vs. Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly vs. Jindrak and Reigns vs. The Bashams.

Secondly, he regrets to inform us that Paul London had been attacked a fortnight ago as he left the arena a month ago, and had suffered head injuries. He had spoke to London after the attack, and London had promised him that he'd be back in time for Judgement Day to defend his title, however he was attacked by what the police described to him as " a group of thugs dressed in black" and as a result, would not be able to make it to Judgement Day. As a result, the title was now vacant, and the winner of the upcoming cruserweight match would face a special mystery opponent at the ppv for the title.

72%

2nd Match: Kidman vs. Akio vs. Shannon Moore vs. Funaki. With a shot at the now vacant cruserweight title at stake, all 4 competitors upped their game in a thrilling cruserweight war. Shannon Moore was the first to go, after being on the receiving end of a top rope DDT from Funaki, a stiff kick to the head from Akio, and Kidmans Shooting Star Press, its no surprise that Shannon stayed down for three.

Akio was next to go. He and Kidman teamed up on Funaki, but when he was setting Funaki up for a kick to the head, Kidman scored with a low blow, and rolled Akio up with his tights for a cheap victory.

Funaki was battered from Akio and Kidmans double teaming, and could barely stand. He didnt have to for long. Kidman hit a Hurricanrana, and followed it up with a Shooting Star Press for three, and a shot at the cruserweight title at Judgement Day.

72%

The Big Show comes down to the ring after the match, and says its about time he sent a message to Raven regarding his fate at Judgement Day. He grabbed Kidman by the throat, when the lights dimmed. Show turned to face the screen, and this was all Kidman needed. He kicked Show between the legs, and rolled out of the ring. Raven entered through the curtain, gripping a 2x4 in his hand, and told Big Show that he would be demolished at Judgement Day. He had just gotten back from the Genreal Managers office, and he had, using gentle persuasion, made Teddy Long make the triple threat match no disqualifications.

84%

3rd Match: Carlito Carribean Cool vs. Rob Van Dam. Carlito challenged RVD to this match after explaining that RVD seemed to think he was cool. But he is not. He may be a washed up, stoned, loser...but cool he is not. RVD rightfully took offence at this, and quickly responded to the challenge.

RVD bamboozled Carlito with his range of kicks and flips, but Carlito managed to slow the pace of the match down by crotching his opponent on the top rope, and following it up with a Superplex. Carlito worked his way over RVD, and when the referee wasnt looking, scored with a low blow, and looked to have a victory in the bag, when Orlando Jordan came down and laid Carlito out, giving him the match by DQ

Shawn Michaels is shown on the Titantron, on a live feed from his home in San Antonio. He explains that thanks to Angle's assault he cannot make tonights show, but will face Angle at Judgement Day.

4th Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit. There were still hard feelings from the past few weeks main events on Smackdown, containing these two. However, Eddie and Benoit agreed they would fight, one on one, in order to settle the score. The two displayed a fierce intensity in this matchup, going back and forth, but instead of focusing on mat manouvres like the pair usually do in their matches, this was an all out brawl.Benoit got his knees up on a Frog Splash, and controlled the next few minutes of the match, when Benoit went up top for a diving headbutt, Guerrero pulled refereee Charles Robinson in the way, and he collided with Benoit. Benoit hit a suplex on Guerrero, and went up on top, and this time got the diving headbutt on Guerrero, only for Edge to come in with a chair and crack Benoit over the head. Guerrero rolled on top, and with a little help from Edge, Robinson came round, and counted the three.

93%

5th Match: WWE Championship: John Cena vs. Kurt Angle. This match promised to be an exciting encounter, however it was not to be, Cena made his way to the ring, and Angle then made his, however when walking down the ramp, Angle was assaulted by Shawn Michaels, who used a chair to work the same area of leg that Angle had attacked on him the previous week. Just when it looked like Angle was doomed, RVD came out with a chair and a mike. He threw the chair at Michaels and hit the vandaminator. He then announced that he had just added himself to the match at Judgement Day, as Cena stood int he ring, bemused by the events in the aisle.

Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler welcome you to Monday Night RAW, live from Battle Creek, Michigan.

Eric Bischoff is in the ring with a microphone. He says “Tonight, I am going to explain the main King of the Ring tournament, after the success of the qualifiers last week. There will be either one or two of the quarter final matches in the next four weeks. As their are six quarter final matches, there will then be three semi finals in the three weeks before the King of the Ring PPV, which will have the final of the King of the Ring, which will be a triple threat match.” Eric then finishes by saying that “Tonight, we will see the first quarter final - Eugene vs Randy Orton.” 80%

1st Match: King of the Ring Quarter-Final: Eugene vs Randy Orton. Surprisingly, the first KOTR quarter final was a technically sound contest, with Eugene showing all of his talent, and this surprised Orton, who took a while to adjust to a fired up Eugene. Eugene never backed down from the former World Heavyweight Champion, and he kept getting straight back up when Orton hit him with any moves. The end came when Eugene had Orton in the position for a Rock Bottom, when Orton kicked Eugene below the belt, oblivious to the referee, and he then hit the RKO to scrape the victory, and to progress to the semi finals of the RAW King of the Ring. After the end of the match, Orton celebrated to boos from the crowd, as Eugene slowly retreated to the back, nearly in tears, and gaining much sympathy from the fans. 76%

Ric Flair is in the ring, with a microphone, and he lays in to Chris Jericho, saying how he will never accomplish a quarter of what Flair has accomplished in his career, and that Flair, at 56, is still a superior wrestler to Y2J. Flair continues, until Jericho's music hits, and Y2J comes rushing down to the ring. He blocks a couple of punches from Flair, before locking the legend in the Walls of Jericho. Jericho keeps the hold locked in for a bit longer, until Tyson Tomko runs in, and big boots Jericho in the face to break the submission. Tomko helps Flair to the back, while Jericho holds his head in the ring. 93%

Kane is backstage, doing an interview with Maria Kanellis. Maria asks Kane why he is so intent to end Booker's career, and when, or if, he is going to stop. Kane says that he wants to teach Booker a lesson, the lesson that you don't, and can't, stop the Big Red Machine. Kane then says that he is going to get revenge for Booker costing him a title shot at KOTR, and that he is sending a message to the World Heavyweight Champion...Kane is coming for your title. 83%

Evolution are backstage, and Triple H says that, tonight, Batista is going to suffer at the hands of Evolution. The Game then says that Flair will go one-on-one with Batista, tonight, and that Evolution will help Flair beat Batista, and therefore weaken the Animal before KOTR. The Game then walks off, and Tomko is about to go out for his match, when Flair thanks Tomko for his help earlier, and the Nature Boy says that he will help Tomko in his match, that is next. 73%

2nd Match: Tyson Tomko vs Val Venis. Compared to the earlier contest, this match was a dissapointing, and was barely above average in quality, as Tomko and Venis traded generic offence for most of the match. It ended when Flair ran down and he distracted the referee, and Tomko went to get a chair. He was about to hit Venis with the weapon, when Jericho ran down and pushed the chair back into the big man's face with the running Enziguri. Venis then covered Tomko for the win, while Jericho chased Flair out of the arena and into the back, where Flair eventually escaped via a limousine. 63%

3rd Match: The Undertaker vs Kane. This was a fantastic match, which was as entertaining (if not more) as their past encounters. Each man had their periods of dominance, and each man kicked out of a chokeslam from their opponent. The end came when both Booker T and Christian entered the ring, and Christian attacked the Undertaker, while Booker attacked Kane, meaning that the referee had no choice but to declare the match a no contest due to interference, and therefore a draw. 78%

Christian hammered Taker with rights and lefts, before retrieving a chair from ringside and laying out the Undertaker with it, making ther Dead Man bleed, and Christian continued to hammer away, before officials had to pull him away from a battered Undertaker. 84%

Meanwhile, Kane had eventually overpowered Booker T, and had hit him with a powerbomb, before chokeslamming Booker through the Spanish Announcer's table, leaving Booker out cold, whiel Kane strolled to the back, obviously pleased with his destruction of Booker T. 84%

Triple H is backstage with Maria Kanellis, doing an interview. After Maria asks him about his intentions regarding Batista, Triple H laughs, and says that she asks some very dumb questions with very obvious answers. The Game then tells Batista that every single minute, that HHH isn't the World Heavyweight Champion, he will make Batista's life hell, and will continue to until the World title is firmly back where it belongs...wrapped around Triple H's waist. 87%

Main Event: Batista vs Ric Flair. A thoroughly entertaining spectacle, this match recieved many massive pops from the crowd, as both men were extremely over with the live audience. Batista displayed his sheer power throughout the contest, and the Nature Boy had to use all of his many years ring experience to avoid being dominated by the Animal. Batista managed not to submit to the figure four leglock, and the end came when the World Heavyweight Champion hit Flair with a spinebuster and then the 'Tista Bomb to win the match. 73%

In the aftermath of the main event, while Batista was celebrating his victory, Triple H appeared out of the crowd and he stole the title belt from the timekeeper and hammered Batista with it, and then posing above the champ's body with the title. This is when RAW ended.

Apologies about lateness of last smackdown...not that anyone noticed <_<

WWE Smackdown!

1st Match: The Bashams vs. Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly. With just 10 days until four teams squared off in one ring for the WWE tag team titles, two of them squared off, with the winners gaining an undeniable psychological advantage.

Haas started off against Danny, using his quickness to pace the match and control Danny in the opening minutes. Haas’ luck soon changed however as he went up top for a cross body, only to be caught by Danny, and hit with a monstrous Powerslam. The two Bashams worked over Haas, using their power to beat down and isolate him, frustrating Hardcore in the process. Hardcore had had enough when the Bashams set Charlie up for a spike piledriver, and he ran in and clotheslined Danny, before throwing Doug off the top to the outside! The referee dragged Hardcore back to his corner, but this gave Haas the necessary time to recover and make a tag. Hardcore ran in, and cleaned house, hitting an Alabama Slam on Danny, whilst the referee checked on an injured Doug on the outside. Before Hardcore could get the referees attention however, Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns appeared from nowhere and hit a double powerbomb on Holly, before getting the refs attention, allowing Danny to roll over, and pick up the victory.

Jindrak and Reigns then picked Danny up, and gave him a double powerbomb, before leaving the ring smiling.

72%

2nd Match: Abyss vs. John Bradshaw Layfield. Upset with the way the 6 man tag match ended the week before, JBL had arranged this match with GM Teddy Long, in an attempt to gain some revenge on Abyss, and show him just why he was a wrestling god.

JBL had clearly underestimated his opponent, and he struggled to keep the big newcomer down, even after a series of powerslams and spinebusters. The frustration became too much for JBL, and he shoved the referee, and got into an argument with him over the speed of his counts. This was all Abyss needed to get the upperhand, and he nearly destroyed JBL with high impact slams, from a simple body slam, to a powerbomb off the top rope. Abyss showed his inexperience when, instead of going for the pin, he picked JBL up and sent him to the ropes in an attempt to set up a black hole slam, only for JBL to come back and nail Abyss with the clothesline for the victory.

JBL didn’t have any time to celebrate however, as he was greeted by the Big Show who hit a huge Chokeslam on the stage, creating a vicious thud that echoed throughout the arena. EMT’s attended to Layfield, as the Big Show made his exit.

Kurt Angle is backstage with Josh Matthews, and is asked what he thinks his chances are at Judgement Day

“Well Josh, these past few weeks have been ridiculous, it’s bad enough that I’ve had to put up with Shawn Michaels pissing and moaning over Wrestlemania, I’m a former WWE champion, I don’t deserve that sort of childish behaviour in my life, but to make things even worse, that idiot RVD is incapable of realising that Shawn was his friend, so now I’ve got to put up with that too, it’s just not fair Josh. Nonetheless, in just 10 days time, I’m going to Judgement Day, and I’m going to show the world how worthless those two are, wooo! Judgement Day, Angles going over, then he’s going after his title, its true, its damn true!”

88%

3rd Match: Billy Kidman vs. Nunzio. The number one contender for the cruserweight title faced the former ECW superstar in what was a warm up match for Kidman. Just as with all the matches he’s participated in lately Kidman dominated, using his quickness and varied move set to bamboozle his opponent. After a powerbomb into a facebuster, Kidman went up top and hit his Shooting Star Press for the win.

The lights then dimmed, as Raven entered the ring with what looked like wire, and he wrapped it round Nunzio’s neck until he passed out, before hitting the Raven Effect to add insult to injury. The two outcast superstars nodded at each other before leaving together.

Josh Matthews is shown backstage, and is about to speak when he see’s Raven walking backstage, and he runs up to him.

“Raven, what was the meaning of that vile attack?” Raven laughs, before commenting

“That was nothing, nothing compared to what I’m going to do at Judgement Day. Now leave me alone.”

Raven shoved Matthews to the ground, and left.

93%

4th Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels. Michaels was reluctant to fight his former partner, as the only reason the match was assigned was because RVD thought Michaels had something against him.

Michaels experience gave him the early advantage, with him working RVD’s head, firstly with a snapmare, then into a headlock. RVD got his feet on the ropes for leverage, and he flipped out of the headlock, and got a hurricanrana in on the Heartbreak Kid. The two went back and forth for another five minutes, before Michaels reversed a superplex, and went for his Showstopper elbow drop, only for RVD to roll out of the way, leaving both men down, side by side. As Nick Patrick counted the two men down, Angle came through the crowd, climbed the top rope, and hit a moonsault on his two rivals, causing the ref to throw the match out. Angle hit RVD with the Angle slam, and locked an Ankle Lock on Shawn, until the referees broke it up. Angle left the ring celebrating, with a clear advantage over his two opponents.

86%

Teddy Long was shown in his office. “I think its about time I let all my playas know what is going down concerning the King Of The Ring Tournament. The first match will take place next week on Smackdown, Eddie Guerrero will face Charlie Haas, and the brackets are as follows:

Big Show vs. John Heidenreich

Abyss vs. Gene Snitsky

Edge vs. Hardcore Holly

Paul London vs. Akio

Kidman vs. ?

? vs. Orlando Jordan

Carlito vs. Funaki

5th Match: John Cena and Chris Benoit vs. Edge and Eddie Guerrero. Benoit started this contest off by challenging Edge to a match at Judgement Day. Edge wryly accepted the challenge, which gave Guerrero the chance to blindside Benoit and get things going.

Benoit and Guerrero put on a chain-wrestling masterpiece for the fans, before Cena tagged in Cena. Cena had a stare down with his opponent for Judgement Day, and just when it looked like they would erupt into a brawl, Guerrero fell back and tagged Edge in. This caught the champ off guard, and allowed Edge to get the upperhand and dominate the champ. Edge nailed an Electric Chair Drop on Cena and went in the corner for the spear. Cena saw the spear at the latest possible moment, but managed to move out of the way, and Edge collided with the turnbuckle. The fans got behind Cena as he struggled to reach Benoit for the tag. Just when it looked like Edge would recover first, Cena made the tag. Edge charged at Benoit and went for the clothesline, only for it to be reversed into a crippler crossface! Instead of running in to break it up though, Guerrero just left the arena as Edge tapped, giving the face team the victory.

However, he quickly moves back to a chair when he hears a knock at the door. (The black man nods) Ah, yes, Eric mentioned you; he’s not actually here at the moment. Do you want to make your debut in the ring, tonight?”

Sapp straddles a chair in front of Bischoff’s/Foley’s desk and he says “I would like a match tonight, brotha, but I want to be entered into the King of the Ring tournament. Is their any spaces available, brotha?” Foley looks at a piece of paper on his desk, and then he says “OK, Bobby, you can debut against Tyson Tomko in the quarter finals of KOTR tonight.” Bob smiles, shakes his hand, and then makes his way to the door. Carlito was in the middle of his pre-match “your not cool” speech, when Kidman slapped the mic out of Carlito’s hand and nailed him with a dropkick. Carlito soon recovered however, and whipped Kidman against the ropes, catching him with a spinebuster on the way back. Carlito picked Kidman up over his head, as if setting him up for a powerbomb, only for Kidman to roll forward in a sunset flip, and grab Carlito’s pants for the quick count. Kidman rolled out of the ring with a grin on his face as Carlito told the referee “Thas not cool” before spitting his apple into his face.

Danny Basham wasn’t in the match long, attacked by Snitsky, Heidenreich and Abyss before he could even get in the ring. This caused referee Charles Robinson to send Abyss and Heidenreich backstage, although it was too late for Danny. Snitsky got him in the ring and hit the Pumphandle Slam for 3 as Jindrak and Holly faught in the corner.

Holly worked over Jindrak with a series of chops, and Snitsky charged at Holly. Holly moved out of the way and Snitsky’s huge boot connected with the face of Jindrak, and Hardcore hit Snitsky with a dropkick as he recoiled from the impact. Jindrak was still a little woozy, and Hardcore ducked his clothesline and hit him with an Alabamaslam! Holly rolled ontop of Jindrak and picked up the win.

Ravens rough, hard hitting style prevented RVD from utilising his martial arts skills, and this worked in Ravens favour, and he controlled the early goings.

This all changed however when Raven sent RVD outside, and went for a suplex on the Spanish announcers table. RVD reversed this, and sent Raven off the table and to the concrete below with a suplex of his own. RVD taunted to the crowd, and rolled Raven onto the table. RVD went up top, looking for a Frog Splash through the table! Raven rolled off at the last possible second, and RVD crashed through the table. Raven crawled back into the ring, and won by countout.

After the match, Angle came running down, and Angle slammed RVD through the other announce table, and smiled sadistically over RVD’s broken body, as Smackdown went to commercials.

5th Match: John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Big Show. Before the bell rang, Ravens music hit and he came walking down to ringside carrying a wooden crate under his arm. Cole and Tazz questioned Raven all the way through this slobberknocker, about the items inside the box, and all Raven would tell them is that it was full of treats for this Sundays match. Big Show was put away on the ten minute mark by a vicious clothesline, but before he could have his hand raised in victory Raven had smashed the crate over JBl’s head, revealing the contents; Some barbed wire, a screwdriver, and a baseball bat.

WWE Smackdown Presents: Judgement Day 2005

1st Match: United States Title: Orlando Jordan vs. Carlito Carribean Cool. Orlando faced Carlito to open the show, with this being Orlando’s first ppv title defence. Orlando and Carlito squared off, and Carlito took a bite out of his apple. Jordan anticipated what was coming next and hit Carlito with a right hand, and whipped him into the far turnbuckle, and went to follow it up with a clothesline, only for Carlito to run out of the way, and out of the ring for a breather. The fans booed Carlito, and the boo’s got louder as Carlito told them that it wasn’t cool to boo him. Orlando had enough of Carlito’s running around and went outside after him.

The two exchanged blows on the outside, and Jordan got the upper hand, sending Carlito against the railings with an irish whip, before following it up with a clothesline, crushing Carlito against the barrier. Jordan climbed back in the ring, hoping for a count out victory, but it never came. Carlito was standing on the apron when Jordan ran at him, but Carlito pulled the ropes down and Jordan went flying to the outside. Carlito took advantage of this, and hit a knee drop off the apron to the neck of Jordan on the concrete below. This shot took a lot out of Jordan, and he gasped for breath. Carlito rolled Jordan back into the ring with a huge smile on his face.

Carlito set Jordan up in the corner, and sat him on top of the turnbuckles, before climbing up and hitting a top rope fall away slam on the champion. Carlito slowly made his way over to Jordan, and made the cover. 1…2...kickout! Carlito rolled off his opponent and stared at the sky for inspiration. He lifted Jordan up by his hair, only to find himself being whipped to the ropes, Jordan went for a Hurricanrana, but was powerbombed straight into the canvas, and pinned 1…2…3! Carlito had won the United States title!

2nd Match: WWE Tag Team Championship: Poetic Accident vs. Reigns and Jindrak vs. The Bashams vs. Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas. Similar to the battle royal from this weeks edition of Smackdown, this match was elimination.

Hardcore and Luther Reigns started this contest off, with Reigns throwing Holly to the ground with a gorilla press slam. Hardcore got straight up however, and slapped Reigns right across the face, before hitting a press slam of his own to the outside! This brought Jindrak into the ring, and as the referee struggled to get him back to his corner, Reigns ran into a Black Hole Slam from Abyss on the outside! Abyss rolled Reigns back into the ring, and Holly went for the cover, 1…2…3! Reigns and Jindrak have been eliminated.

Hardcore made the tag to Charlie Haas, and Heidenreich stepped into the ring to fight. Heidenreich viciously whipped Haas into the turnbuckles, and such was the force of the impact, that he rebounded back into a spinebuster. Heidenreich roared with approval and tagged Doug Basham in, who had his ribs bandaged from his flight from the top rope two weeks ago at the hands of Holly. Doug was dying for revenge, and he got it on Haas. First he nearly smashed the canvas with a helicopter powerbomb, and then he went for the snake eyes on Haas, but dropped his neck right across the top rope, and then stomped on his neck for good measure, before tagging Danny in.

Danny hit a rib breaker on a beaten Haas, and went for the pin 1…2..and Danny picked Haas’ shoulders up from the mat! Danny picked Charlie up over his head in a gorilla press position, and signalled to Doug to climb up top. Doug did so, and came off with an axe handle, only for Charlie to drop down, and the axe handle connected with Danny’s head. The referee dragged Doug back to his corner, and Haas began the long crawl back towards Hardcore. Charlie made the tag as soon as the referee turned around. And Hardcore ran in, first knocking Doug off the apron, and then hitting the Falcon Arrow on Danny. 1…2..kick out! Hardcore was clearly frustrated, and he picked Danny up and went for an Alabamaslam, only for Danny to roll through, 1…2..kick out! Hardcore ran against the ropes, looking for a clothesline, only for his face to be met by the boot of Danny Basham. Danny himself went against the ropes, and the boot of Snitsky met the back of his head. As both men lay motionless on the floor, Abyss distracted the referee, allowing Heidenreich and Snitsky to come in, Heidenreich hit a Shoulderbreaker on Danny, whilst Snitsky hit a Pumphandle slam on Doug. The tag champs then got back on the apron, and waited as the referee counted. 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…Hardcore got up onto his knees…8…9…Danny just managed to get up, but he instantly got caught in an Alabamaslam, 1…2…3.

There wasn’t much left of either Hardcore or Charlie, and as Snitsky went to the outside to further injure Haas’ throat by dropping it across the steel barricade, Heidenreich went to attack Holly, but was hit with a Falcon Arrow…1…2…Heidenreich just managed the shoulder up, but Holly thought otherwise, as he stood up with his arms in the air, Heidenreich grabbed him from behind with his partners finisher, the Pumphandle Slam, and made the cover…1…2…3! The tag champs had retained! Snitsky, Abyss and Heidenreich left the ring together, smiling at their conquest.

3rd Match: Cruiserweight Title: Billy Kidman vs.?. Kidman made his way out, frustrated that he was seconds away from his match, and he still did not know who he was facing. Some latin dance music came out of the P.A, system, and none other than Psychosis made his way down to the ring! Kidman kicked the bottom rope with anger and yelled in annoyance.

The match got under way, and Psychosis was the first person in months to have a clear cut advantage over Kidman, scoring with a monkey flip in the corner, and then coming off the ropes with a headscissors, which sent Kidman to the outside. Psychosis followed it up with a corkscrew plancha, which Kidman avoided, and left Psychosis in a crumpled heap on the floor. Kidman picked Psychosis up, and whipped him into the ring post, and then climbed the apron, and came off with a hurracanrana. Kidman backed off from Psychosis, who was lying a few feet away from the Spanish announce table. Kidman started sprinting, and he jumped onto the announce table, before coming off with a Senton bomb, which battered both competitors bodies. The referee let the match go, as a new champion needed to be crowned, and so instead of counting the competitors out, he helped them back into the ring.

Kidman was first up, and he springboard dropkicked Psychosis in the ribs from the second rope, before picking him up and placing him in the turnbuckle. Kidman ran at Psychosis, and went for a splash, but Psychosis put his hands out against Kidmans chest, and using Kidmans momentum against him, sent him flying over the turnbuckle to the outside. Psychosis climbed the top rope, and came landed Kidmans own Shooting Star Press on the outside!

The referee didn’t help the competitors this time, and left them to fight on the outside. Psychosis snap suplexed Kidman onto the mats, and climbed onto the apron, going for a springboard moonsault, which connected…right with Kidmans knees. Kidman slowly got up, and dragged his opponent into the ring with him. He went for a powerbomb on Psychosis, but Psychosis dropped Kidman backwards, and went for a powerbomb of his own, but Kidman hit a facebuster on the way down, 1…2…kick out! Kidman punched the mat with frustration, but didn’t take his eye off the goal, and he sprung up to the top rope, and hit a Shooting Star Press! 1…2…kick out! Kidman yelled at the referee, but moved out of the way of a Psychosis dropkick, which subsequently connected with the ref. The elimination of a referee brought Raven out from under the ring! He grabbed Psychosis from behind, and hit the Raven Effect before running backstage. Kidman revived the referee and covered Psychosis for the 1…2…kick out! Kidman went crazy, and went up top for another Shooting Star Press, but this time Psychosis got his knees up and got a cover of his own 1…2…no! Psychosis, climbed on to the top rope, and once Kidman was up came off with a tornado DDT for the 1…2..kick out! Psychosis slammed Kidman and went up top for the ??? 1…2…Kidman kicked out! Psychosis also got annoyed with the referee, and as soon as he turned his back, Kidman rolled him up 1…2…Psychosis rolled through with a cover of his own, 1…2…kick out! Both men stood up and faced each other, exhausted, Kidman swiftly kicked Psychosis in between the legs, and scored with a face buster 1…2…no! Kidman went up top for another Shooting Star Press, but again was met with knees! As Kidman lay gasping for breath on the canvas, Psychosis went to pick him up, but was cradled 1…2…3! Kidman was the new cruiserweight champion!

4th Match: Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Rob Van Dam. These three had been at each other throats since Wrestlemania, and in Angle and Michaels case, since the Rumble.

Michaels was double teamed in the early going, with Angle and RVD taking it in turns to knock him down. Angle went to finish the match early with an Angle Slam, but Shawn slipped out and pushed Angle into Van Dam, which caused them two to square off as Michaels attempted to catch his breath in the corner. Before Angle could lay a finger on RVD though, they realise that Shawn was resting, and Angle ran at him, causing HBK to roll out of the ring. As Angle was yelling abuse at Shawn, RVD dropkicked him into the ropes, and as he rebounded, rolled him up for 1…2, a two count. Shawn slid back in the ring, and he and RVD took care of Angle, whipping him against the ropes, and then both connecting with spinning wheel kicks to the head of Angle. Shawn bodyslammed the Olympic gold medallist, and RVD came off the ropes with a rolling thunder, only to be rolled up from behind by Michaels, 1…2...kick out!

RVD and Shawn traded blows, and wound up with Shawn clotheslining Rob and himself to the outside. RVD hit a fishermans suplex on Shawn, and as he lay there, he was crushed by Angle who came over the top rope with a vaulting splash. Angle caught his breath, and picked Shawn up, once again going for an Angle Slam, but once again Michaels slipped out, and pushed Angle face first into the ring post. Shawn picked RVD up, and hit him with a fishermans suplex of his own. Michaels climbed the apron, and went for an elbow, but RVD rolled out of the way. Angle used this chance to finally nail Shawn with an Angle Slam. RVD rolled the unconscious Michaels onto the Spanish announce table, and as Angle held Shawn down came off the top with a Five Star Frog Splash through the table! The table screamed along with Michaels and RVD, as Kurt surveyed the damage.

Kurt dragged a barely moving RVD into the ring, and hit the Angle Slam on him! He made the cover, 1…2…kick out! Angle picked RVD up, but was caught in the gut by one of RVD’s swift kicks. RVD went for another one, but Kurt grabbed the Ankle and applied the Ankle Lock! RVD was yelping in pain, and Kurt let out a loud “Wooooooooooo” confident of his own ability, RVD nearly grabbed the ropes, but Kurt dragged him back into the middle of the ring. RVD put his arm up to tap SUPERKICK! Shawn Michaels had come from out of nowhere and nailed Angle with the Sweet Chin Music, right on the jaw. He collapsed on top of his rival, 1…2…3! Michaels had done it! Michaels had gotten revenge for Wrestlemania.

5th Match: Edge vs. Chris Benoit. Many doubted whether Edge would turn up for his match with Benoit after the events of Thursday night. Benoit calmly strode out to the ring, and waited to see if his match was going to take place. “You Think You Know Me” Alter Bridge’s Metalingus roared out of the P.A., and Edge came out to greet the fans, admittedly with a bit less enthusiasm than usual, and it was clear to see why, as he had a long row of stitches over his head from the beating he received Thursday.

Benoit applauded his opponent’s commitment, and the two locked up. Benoit took Edge down with a headlock, and held him there for a few seconds, before rolling behind and slamming Edge’s knee against the mat. Edge slowly got up, but was knocked back down again by a viscous chop. Benoit looked down at his opponent, and dragged him back up, Benoit whipped him against the ropes, and was almost crushed by a spear! Edge had reached down and hit a huge spear out of nowhere! 1…2…kick out by Benoit. Edge lifted Benoit up and tried to hit the Edgecution,, but Benoit used his strength to flip Edge backwards into a northern lights suplex, 1…2…kick out again. Benoit picked Edge up and hit two German suplexes, but when going for the third, Edge slipped inbetween his legs, and hit a German of his own! Edge went for a second spear, but Benoit telegraphed it, and kicked Edge right in the face, opening the cuts from Smackdown! Benoit climbed up top, and hit his Headbutt for the three count. Benoit helped Edge up, he wasn’t 100%, and had tried his best, but at less than 100% he was no match for Benoit. Benoit went to shake Edge’s hand, but Edge shoved him off, and went back to the lockeroom, holding his head.

6th Match: Raven vs. John Bradshaw Layfield vs. The Big Show: Hardcore Match: Big Show and JBL entered first, and were unable to keep their hands off each other, and they started brawling as soon as they were both in the ring. Ravens music then hit, and he made his way out with his items from Smackdown. A screwdriver in one hand, a baseball bat in the other, and about two feet of barbed wire wrapped loosely around his neck.

Raven ran walked slowly down, as the Big Show hit JBL across the chest with an open hand, and went under the ring for some “goodies” Big Show pulled out a reliable chair, and entered the ring with it. Bradshaw turned and ran, only to be met by the fist of Raven, which now had the barbed wire wrapped round it, lacerating the former 10 month champion. Big Show swung the chair at Ravens raised fist, and winced at the sound of steel pushing the barbs into Ravens hand. Raven screamed, and Big Show brought the chair down again, this time across the skull of Raven.

Big Show turned around, and had his chair dented beyond use by JBL, who’d picked up Ravens bat. JBL went to hit Show again, but show caught the bat before any force could be put behind it. Show booted JBL in the gut, then literally snapped the bat over JBL’s head! Big Show tossed Bradshaw to the outside, and followed him menacingly. Big Show looked like he was going to Chokeslam JBL through the remaining table, when Raven came off the top rope with a screwdriver in his hand! The screwdriver made a horrible noise against Big Shows skull, and left him with a puncture mark on the back off his head that produced blood. Big Show, pushed JBL to the floor, and scored with a big boot to Ravens face. Big Show pulled the barbed wire from around Raven’s fist, not taking any precautions. He thought about wrapping the barbed wire around his own fist, but seemed to get a brighter idea. With JBL and Raven both out of commission, He grabbed the bat from the ring, and wrapped the wire around that! Big Show strode over to Raven, smiled a sick smile that you wouldn’t expect from the Big Show and he brought the barbed wire baseball bat down on Ravens forehead, before pulling it away, tearing out any stubs that were in Ravens flesh. Big Show smiled as he looked down on Raven, who was now a bloody mess. Show turned around, and was knocked off his feet by JBL with a clothesline from hell! JBL made the cover, 1…2…kick out. JBL picked up the bat, and brought it down wickedly on Big Shows stomach. Then again. Bradshaw only managed a two count. JBL attempted to pick Show up, and once he managed it, swung at him with the bat, but Big Show dodged, and chokeslammed JBL through the table! Raven was fiddling with the bat, when Big Show caught sight of him. And dragged him up by his hair, and then threw him into the ring. Big Show roared and went to Chokeslam Raven too, but Raven slipped behind onto Show’s back. The referee didn’t realise at first why Show was screaming so much, but then he saw it, Raven had one end of the barbed wire in each hand, and had wrapped it round Show’s throat! Blood was trickling down Shows neck, and once Show had collapsed onto his knees, Raven let go, and hit the Raven Effect for the 1…2…3!

7th Match: WWE Title: John Cena vs. Eddie Guerrero. Guerrero had his first chance at the title since the June beforehand, and wasn’t about to give up easily in this contest. Guerrero dominated the early goings off the contest, working over Cena’s leg. And at one point used an innovative move where he sat Cena on top of the turnbuckle, and pushed him backwards so he was dangling out of the ring, with his legs hooked under the top rope. This is where Guerrero applied a leg grapevine, which left Cena screaming in pain. Guerrero had control of most of the match, and used his experience to outsmart his opponent on almost every occasion.

Things were looking grim for Cena when Guerrero went for the three amigos. He got one in, but Cena reversed one into a suplex of his own, and when Eddie was getting back up, hit a throw back. Cena set Guerrero up for an F-U, but Eddie struggled out, and this time managed to connect with his three amigos! Guerrero went up top for a Frog Splash, but saw Cena was already nearly up, so he waited, and came off with a hurracanrana! This gave Eddie a 1…2…a two count. Eddie picked Cena up, and hit an F-U of his own, before climbing up for another attempt at the Frog Splash. As Guerrero was setting himself up, Edge appeared and pulled on the ropes, causing Eddie to slip and crotch himself. Cena took full advantage of this, climbed onto the second rope, and hit with a second rope F-U for 1…2…3!

Edge had cost his friend the WWE Title, but why?

TV Rating: 5.62

Jim Ross and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler welcome you to Monday Night RAW, live from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Batista’s music hits, and a determined looking champion makes his way to the ring, cradling the World Heavyweight title belt over his shoulder. Upon reaching the squared circle, Batista takes a microphone from Lillian Garcia. He looks at the crowd, who are chanting his name, before putting the microphone to his mouth. He starts off by saying that he is sick of being beaten up, every single week by the whole of Evolution. He says that he feels embarrassed at allowing Triple H and his cronies to undermine him week in, week out. Batista then says that he feels that he has disgraced his name by getting beaten up by Evolution and, more importantly, he feels that he has let the fans down too.

He stops for a second, as Batista chants ring out around the arena. He then raises the microphone again, and says that, tonight, a new trend will be set. Tonight, Batista will start to fight back. Batista says that, by the time that King of the Ring comes around, and Batista is preparing to face Triple H in the main event for the World Heavyweight title, Batista will have the upper hand on his rival, both physically and mentally. Batista says that a revolution against Evolution is starting to take place…and he intends to start it tonight.

Then, Triple H’s music hits, and Batista turns to face the stage, awaiting the arrival of the Game. However, Triple H emerged from out of the crowd, behind Batista. He rolled into the ring, and turned Batista around. HHH then kicked Batista below the belt and hit the pedigree. Triple H was about to turn around to play to the crowd, when Batista got straight back up from the Game’s finisher. Batista had a wry smile on his face, while Triple H was openly shocked. He fell out of the ring, and quickly stumbled back up the ramp, while Batista played to the crowd, who were going wild. 86%

Shelton Benjamin’s music hits, and the Intercontinental champion confidently made his way to the ring for his King of the Ring Quarter final, against an unknown opponent. When Benjamin had finished playing to the crowd, Eric Bischoff appeared on the titantron. He congratulated Shelton on his qualification into the KOTR tournament, and wished him look in tonight’s match, before introducing his opponent with a sly smile on his face - “Shelton, tonight, you will face…The Undertaker!” 79%

1st Match: King of the Ring Quarter Final: Shelton Benjamin vs The Undertaker. Although initially shocked, Shelton managed to surprise everyone and actually dominate Taker for some parts of the contest, but Undertaker still dominated the majority. Shelton’s brave fight seemed to be in vain when Taker had hit the Chokeslam on the IC champ, and was stalking Shelton, waiting for the Tombstone, when Christian and Tyson Tomko ran down the ramp and blasted the Undertaker with a steel chair, before hitting the Unprettier onto the chair. This didn’t lead to a disqualification, as Tomko distracted the referee, and Shelton crawled on top of Taker for the victory, and to qualify for the semi-finals of the RAW KOTR tournament, against Kane. After the match, Shelton and Taker teamed up to beat down Christian and Tomko. 75%

Chris Jericho is in the ring, preparing to do the highlight reel. He takes the microphone and says that, tonight, there will be no guest on the highlight reel…because Jericho is going to tell a story. Y2J says that, once, there was a young boy growing up in Canada, and all he wanted to do in his life was wrestle. He would watch wrestling at every chance he got, whether it be at a regional, live show, or a Japanese video, or on TV. And the boy loved it. The boy had a hero, who he idolised in every possible way…he would have given anything to be half as good as his idol. So, twenty years into the future, the boy achieved his dream, and he was very successful in the world of wrestling. Along the way, he met his childhood idol and…he was disappointed. Extremely disappointed. He had found out, that his idol might have been a great wrestler, but he was a total idiot in person, who didn’t respect anything that anyone else did…it was all about himself. Jericho then says that the boy was named Chris Jericho, the idol…was Ric Flair.

Jericho then says that Flair is an overconfident fool who is out of his depth in the modern day WWE. He then says that Flair might have been a 16 time world champion, but doesn’t that mean that he lost the title 16 times aswell? And what type of opposition did Flair face to win the vast majority of those 16 titles? Crap opposition. So, Jericho says that, sometime in the near future, Jericho is going to beat Flair, and show that he is worthy to be ranked alongside Flair as one of the all-time greats. 97%

Shelton Benjamin is sitting in his locker room, when Kane bursts in. Kane says that he is going to soften Shelton up before their KOTR semi-final in a few weeks time. He then grabs Shelton by the throat, but then Booker T runs in. He hits Kane from behind, and then hits the Book End, before kicking the Big Red Machine in the chest and then hitting the Scissors Kick. He taunts Kane, before being thanked by Shelton. Booker and Shelton then leave, leaving Kane writhing on the floor. 80%

Both men had their periods of dominance, and the end came when Flair rolled up Mysterio, using the tights, after hitting Rey with a low blow, allowing Flair to win, sending him into the semi-finals of the KOTR. However, a sour end came when Kane ran down with a chair, which was meant for Booker. When Kane swung, however, Booker ducked, and Kane connected with Orton! The referee then woke up, told Kane to leave the ring, while Booker hit the Scissors Kick on Orton to win the match. Afterwards, Kane came back in with the chair, but Booker stopped the shot with a kick to the stomach, and then he hit the Scissors Kick on Kane, that sent the Big Red Machine face first onto the chair. 85%

Main Event: Batista and Frankie Kazarian vs Triple H and Christian. Kazarian was in this match by request of Mick Foley, and the youngster didn’t disappoint, adding another contrasting style (along with Christian) to the brawling of Batista and Triple H. A good match ended when Batista and HHH were the legal men, and Kazarian was down outside the ring, and both Evolution members were beating down the World Heavyweight Champion. Then, Batista hit HHH with a spinebuster, and then no-sold an Unprettier from Christian, before hitting Captain Charisma with the ‘Tista Bomb, and then giving the Game the same fate, to win the match. Afterwards, Batista was taunting Triple H, when the lights went out, and The Undertaker appeared in the ring. He grabbed Christian by the throat and hit the Chokeslam. HHH tried to help his fellow Evolution member, but Batista cut him off with a clothesline, which sent the Game outside of the ring, joining a battered Christian. 79%

So, RAW ended on the image of HHH and Christian down outside the ring, and Batista and Taker staring at them from inside the squared circle.

"But we're better than all the rest..."

Sorry, but I fail to see this yet.

The diary has some good potential, but a lot of it is far too random for a WWE diary, you need to keep to a similar WWE style, but also need to try and bring in new concepts and styles without going over old ground.

Theres a few things, like Sapp just coming into WWE. I admit I have him in my WWE Diary also, but I could never see Sapp coming into WWE full time, he's just far too over in Japan to leave it all behind. The way I came to my a semi-realistic idea out of it was to have him on an open contract, and have him still working Japan more than WWE, keeping him as a Special Attraction in my WWE, much like The Undertaker.

Also, why on earth was Frank Kazarian just launched into the main event without no real connection to the storylines? Seems a bit odd, its usually nice to make some type of bridge, or at least a pre-build up for a reason they could be put into the match itself.

I think this could be good if you grasped a bit more of WWE "realism" in the diary.

And just to make things more interesting, I am going to be the guest commentator for your match, and my friend Tyson Tomko will be an enforcer, just to make sure that no foul play will go on during your match. Oh, and Good Luck, Chris.” Flair starts to laugh, and then he lets out a “WOOOOOOO!” before strutting back up the aisle. 89%

2nd Match: Frankie Kazarian vs Chavo Guerrero. Mick Foley requested this match for his young prodigy, and Frankie didn’t disappoint. He and Chavo put on a brilliant spectacle of high-flying and technical wrestling, before Kazarian won the contest with the Wave of the Future. 73%

Shelton Benjamin and Chris Jericho are in the ring, about to start their IC title match, when Evolution’s music hits, and Ric Flair and Tyson Tomko start to come down to the ring. However, before they reach the end of the ramp, Eric Bischoff interrupts, and says “Hold on, Ric, hold on. I remember agreeing to a Shelton vs Jericho match for the Intercontinental Championship, but I don’t recall agreeing to having Tomko as the enforcer. I’m not going to stop you from commentating on the match, but Tomko, I’m banning you from ringside, so say bye-bye to Uncle Ric, and then get the hell out of here, before I fire you!” As Bischoff turns and leaves, Flair throws a tantrum, and he throws his jacket onto the floor in his fury. So Tomko reluctantly leaves the arena, while Jericho wears a big smile on his face, as he watches Flair stomp his way to join JR and The King at ringside. 78%

3rd Match: Intercontinental Title Match: Shelton Benjamin vs Chris Jericho. This match was a very entertaining match up, with both men showcasing their outstanding talents, which combined to create a great spectacle. The match ended when Shelton whipped Jericho into the referee (accidentally) and went for a Superkick, but Jericho ducked it, and locked in the Walls of Jericho. This brought Flair into the ring with a chair, but Jericho broke the hold and ducked the Nature Boy’s first shot. Flair turned around and went for another shot, but Jericho ducked again, and Flair hit Benjamin, Y2J then dropkicked the chair back into Flair’s face, sending the Nature Boy out of the ring. Jericho then hit the Lionsault on Benjamin to win the match to a very slow 3 count. After the match, Jericho taunted Flair, who was making his way back up the aisle. 72%

The Undertaker is walking backstage when Christian appears, and he taunts Taker. Taker then follows a fleeing Christian into the parking lot. However, when he gets there. Taker can’t find Christian. Suddenly, Taker hears a car engine start, and a 4x4 appears out of the darkness and runs over the Undertaker. The vehicle stops, and Christian jumps out, and he then walks over and taunts the Phenom some more, before EMTs and officials push Christian out of the way, so that they can tend to the Undertaker. 88%

Main Event: Batista vs Triple H vs Randy Orton vs Kane. This was a non-title, fatal four way match, which thrilled fans in the arena and watching on TV. Batista tended to dominate more than any other competitor in the match, and The Animal eventually won the match when he hit a spinebuster on Orton, and then one on Kane, and then the World Heavyweight Champion hit the ‘Tista Bomb on Triple H to pick up an impressive victory. 73%

After the match, as Orton and Kane stumbled to the back, Batista continued to beat down the Game, until the rest of Evolution came to the Game’s rescue, and RAW ended with Batista in the ring, who was staring at Evolution help Triple H to the back.

WWE Smackdown!

1st Match: KOTR Qualifier: Akio vs?. Akio made his entrance in this first round match up, unaware of his opponent. Teddy Long came out, and told Akio to take it easy on his opponent, as he had just come back from a nasty injury. Paul London’s music hit, Akio looked on in horror as London dashed towards the ring.

London ducked Akio’s clothesline attempt on his entry and hit back with a dropkick. The match wasn’t very long, as Akio was caught by a hurricanranna from the top, and London followed that up with a 450 splash, for the victory, and advancement to the next round.

Kurt Angle is in the ring, and he calls out Rob Van Dam. After RVD had arrived, he went to speak, but RVD began to question him about the events of Judgement Day.

“What was that dude? I mean, I wasnt done, Shawn wasn’t done, and quite frankly you shouldn’t of been done either. One measly kick can keep an Olympic hero down? Whatever. RVD’s disappointed in you Kurt. I’m the whole damn show, and you, you’re a loser.”

Kurt took the mike, and went to reply, but he chose to assault Van Dam instead, nailing him in the face with the mic. Kurt spat at RVD, and applied the Ankle Lock. RVD screamed in pain and tapped out frantically. Kurt let ago after a minute or so, gave the crowd a whooo, and went to the back.

2nd Match: KOTR Qualifier: Abyss vs. Gene Snitsky. These two partners faced off in what promised to be a brutal King of The Ring qualifier. Both men wanted to advance, and as a result, neither held back from hurting their partner. Snitsky had control for most of the match, but when he went for the finish with a Pumphandle Slam, Abyss slid behind, pushed Snitsky to the ropes, and hit the Black Hole Slam for the victory.

Teddy Long is back in his office, and tells us how pleased he is with Smackdown so far. Teddy tells us that there’s going to be a great main event tonight. We will bear witness to a number one contenders match with a difference, JBL vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Raven vs…John Cena! The winner will get a title match at SummerSlam, however, if Cena wins, then he will face whoever he pins in a non title match at the PPV.

3rd Match: KOTR Qualifier: Big Show vs. John Heidenreich. Heidenreich was already in the ring when Teddy Long came out and informed us that, unfortunately, Big Show was unable to compete due to the injuries he sustained at Judgement Day, and he should be back after King of The Ring. However, Heidenreich still has an opponent, none other than…Rob Van Dam!

RVD’s speed was too much for Heidenreich, and even though he put up a brave fight, RVD always had his number. A split legged moonsault almost had the monster beat, but Heidenreich just got out of it. RVD managed to struggle over to the turnbuckle after that, and came off with the frog splash for the win.

4th Match: Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle. These two technical experts faced off in a battle of arguably the best wrestlers in the WWE at the moment. The winner would get a U.S. title shot the next week on Smackdown! Both men wore each other out, with their arsenal of suplexes and submissions. The end however, did have to come, and it came when Angle went for a superplex, only for Benoit to reverse it on the way down into a crossface, Angle held on for a while, but had no choice but to tap.

5th Match: KOTR Qualifier: Edge vs. Hardcore Holly. Edge had recovered from his injuries, and was seemingly 100% when he got in the ring with Hardcore. Hardcore soon exposed Edge’s weaknesses. It looked like Holly was going to get the upset when he hit Edge with a piledriver, and seemingly knocked Edge out. Holly got the cover, 1…2…kick out. Holly picked him up for the Alabamaslam, but Edge slipped through, held on to the tights, and got an illegal win over the Mobile Alabama native.

6th Match: Number One Contender: John Cena vs. Raven vs. John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Shawn Michaels. Unsurprisingly, everyone made a charge for the champion as soon as the bell rung. Bradshaw soon went after Raven though, looking for revenge after the pay per view, leaving Michaels and Cena to battle.

Raven disposed off Bradshaw with a Raven effect through the announcer’s table, then sat and watched as Michaels and Cena tore into each other. Michaels hit the Sweet Chin Music on Cena, and crawled over for the cover, only for Raven to rush in and hit the Raven Effect on Michaels. Raven covered Cena, but Cena managed to get the shoulder up at 2. Raven, frustrated, lifted Cena up off the canvas, and drilled him with a Raven Effect, 1…2…3! Raven had beat the champion, and would face him again at King Of The Ring for the title!
