ROH TV

This weeks ROH TV opens with Bryan Danielson cutting a intense promo. He warns Doug Williams that he will not let anything defeat him. He acknowledged the skills of Williams but he claimed he is the best in the world and he will prove his class at The Battle Lines are Drawn.

Davey Richards vs. Rocky Romero

Wow, this was an excellent match, and an impressive match for being first on the show! They opened with some good standing switches and mat reversals, then a standoff. Richards is much larger, and he hit a nice shoulder tackle for a near fall. Their hands were tied in a knucklelock, and Romero hit a nice suplex and some kicks to the thighs as they were tied up.

At 6:00, they started shoving each other, and Romero nailed several stiff, stiff spine kicks. Romero applied a single-leg crab. Richards nailed a hard enziguri, and the crowd popped and cheered for him. Richards took over with a snap suplex, some spine kicks, and he planted his knee in Romero's back. Romero hit some open-hand slaps at 10:00, and they both went down. Romero hit flying double knees to the head off the apron to the floor.

Romero grazed Richards on a Mafia Kick for a nearfall, and he hit some more chops, then he applied a mid-ring Octopus, but Richards made it to the ropes. Richards fought back with a nice T-Bone Suplex at 13:30, then a flying forearm, a clothesline, and both men were down. Richards applied a cross-armbreaker, but Romero made it to the ropes.

Romero hit a hurricanrana for a nearfall. Richards hit a butterfly suplex for a believable nearfall at 16:00, then he applied a Fujiwara Armbar, but Romero reached the ropes. Romero applied a Front Guillotine Choke, but Richards powered out. Romero applied another Front Guillotine Choke, but this time he applied a bodyscissorslock around Richards' waist, in the centre of the ring, and Richards passed out! Very good, hard-hitting match.

Romero at 15.50

Kevin Steen vs. AJ Styles

Very good match. They both did some pre-match mic work, then Steen attacked Styles from behind before the bell. Styles hit a hurricanrana and a forward roll dive off the top rope to the floor! Steen hit some chops. Both men traded slaps and kicks.

Styles hits a shoulder tackle. Steen hit a headscissors takedown on Styles, then he put AJ in an Octopus. Steen hit some dropkicks in the corner on Styles and he applied a one-legged crab. Steen hit his flip guillotine legdrop for a nearfall. He tied AJ in the Tree of Woe, and he nailed a tumbleweed splash in the corner to AJ’s HEAD.

Steen started chopping AJ, he was dominating offence and he was abusing the crowd. AJ hit a quick arm drag and he greeted Steen with his signature drop Kick. Styles went for a Styles Clash but Steen wriggled out of it he fired back with a Michinoku Driver for a nearfall and a leaping lariat then a guillotine legdrop as Styles was between the ropes.

Steen nailed a missile dropkick in the ring. Styles came back with a Pele Kick, and they were both down. They traded stiff forearms, and Styles hit a pumphandle gutbuster for a nearfall at 13:30, then Styles hit the Styles Clash for the win. Styles celebrated. Styles got on the mic and he called out Nigel McGuinness and his challenge was accepted. So at “The Battle Lines are Drawn” it will be AJ Styles competing against Nigel McGuinness for his ROH Pure Title.

AJ Styles at 12.50

Samoa Joe and Homicide vs. “The Kings Of Wrestling” Claudio Castognoli and Chris Hero

Joe came out to a massive pop he started brawling with Hero and Claudio. He hit Claudio Castognoli with a stiff forearm, Hero hit him from behind with a chair, still no Homicide here. Joe gets beat down from Hero who is hitting slaps and chair shots. Prazak on commentary talked about how ROH need Homacide and he cant leave Joe to get beat down.

Joe started making a comeback after firing up and Half-Nelson abdominal stretch by Joe. More slaps and Joe performs a An Island Driver .Joe went for the Musclebuster, when suddenly, Nate Webb & Necro Butcher attacked him, causing the DQ. They all beat Joe down and claret streamed from Joes head, Homicides music hits and he runs to Joes aid.

Some fans also chanted "187, 187," the police code for "homicide. Ace Crusher on Hero, he hit Necro with solid chair shot. Nate webb hits a forearm which Cide no sells. Homicide hits a West Brooklyn Lariat on Webb. Its Cide and Joe in the ring now, Cide extends his hand to Joe. Joe shakes Homicides hand and he walks off, Cide picks up a chair and he hits Joe over the head with it.

The Da Cop Killa on Joe through the table, how could Cide turn his back on ROHs favorite son. The crowd is booing as Cides music hits and he goes to the back. ROH students come out with the medics. Another action filled ROH TV concludes to the Rasp sound of Audio Slave’s Cochise.

Havana Pitbulls vs. Strong & Aries:

I'm pulling for Strong...oh yeah, and Aries...I like the Pitbulls, but good God, that Roderick Strong is just too damn loveable!

Danielson vs. Williams:

Danielson. It's too soon to drop the belt.

KENTA vs. Richards:

KENTA. Mainly because this is a situation like when Richards faced AJ at Death Before Dishonor 4. It's a good match on paper, but the bigger name needs to win...for now.

Nigel vs. Styles:

Nigel. Styles just isn't a "pure" wrestler anymore, and him winning the belt would make me a sad panda.

Joe vs. Homicide:

Homicide. HEEL HEAT BABY! WOO!

Predictions:

ROH Tag Team Title Match

"The Rottweilers" Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero vs. "Generation Next" Austin Aries and Roderick Strong

Winners: Generation Next - More a hopeful prediction than an educated one. Both are good teams, could go either way, but I prefer Aries & Strong as a team and I'm not a big fan of the Rottweilers.

ROH World Title

Bryan Danielson vs. "The Anarchist" Doug Williams

Winner: Doug Williams - The Anarchist has had some great matches with AmDrag over the years, he's beaten Danielson before and he REALLY deserves a run with the belt. Plus having British holders of the World and Pure belts would be too good to be true, and make for a great angle...

Special Attraction Match

KENTA vs. Davey Richards

Winner: Davey Richards - I like KENTA, but since winning the Super 8, everyone has been pushing Richards relentlessly and without mercy, so this is a prediction based on the realism of the diary more than what I'd like to see.

Bryan Danielson vs. “The Anarchist” Doug Williams

Both man came out to massive pops, Prazak discussed how great it was to see Williams back in ROH and that Williams is best known for his submission style of British wrestling, earning him the name "The Human Torture Device", and his use of his knees as an offensive weapon. The winner of this match would be the man who got to have the title of best wrestler. As you can imagine, a TON of matwork work here. The usual great psychology with Dragon working over Williams’s neck - including giving it chops.A European uppercut to reverse spinning neck breaker by Am Dragon. Williams Started slowly, with similar European type moves, but picked the pace up by hitting a nice Roaring Elbow.

Williams countered a cool looking submission and used a German suplex to a quick legdrop. Hot on the heels of The Battle Lines are Drawn , ROH are proud to announce that they have finally come to terms with ROH World Heavyweight champion Bryan Danielson , he signed a 2 year deal and looks forward to leading ROH into the future.

Gabe Sapolsky was apparently furious after the Briscoe Brothers near double booked the massive show. They were contracted to work the JAPW Flash show but chose to work ROH’s instead. Gabe is rumoured to have a checked past with the Briscoe’s so it will be interesting to see where this goes.

Homicide has given the Torch feedback on his current situation with TNA, there has been a growing rumours that he is on his way to the new ECW. This isn’t likely now as he is set for a massive push as part of the LAX stable. ROH will benefit with him choosing to stay with TNA as there relationship is getting stronger as time goes on.

ROH champion Bryan Danielson has one again proved himself as one of the greatest champions in ROH history after his technical showcase against Doug Williams. His next defence is rumoured to be against NOAH star KENTA who has had a growing involvement with ROH after his minor fallout with NOAH.

Colt Cabana will return to action at ROH TV this week he has been missing due to niggling injuries. He will take on up and comer Davey Richards who has been a stand out young star this year. His match with KENTA opened up many doors for these talented youngsters.

Low Ki has begun talks with ROH owner David Paternos over a potential return to ROH. Ki who left on bad terms has been courted by Paternos and is said to be impressed by the new professionalism inside the top Indy Company. In other ROH business news the crowds and DVD sales are going strongly this is partly due to the new marketing scheme released in ROH strong holds.

It's not a matter of being negative, it's a matter of the rules, which you clearly have not read, so let me help you.

3. Postwhoring/Bumping

Neither is allowed. Again, it seems pretty basic, but let's go over it together.

Postwhoring is makeing a post that adds nothing to a discussion or the thread/diary. "Good show" and nothing else is postwhoring. "Push Raven" and nothing more is postwhoring. We want you to feel free and encourage you to reply to the diaries, it is important to a lot of our posters, but we don't want you to say nothing meaningful at all and move along. All that does is boost your post count, get you a bad reputation as a postwhore, and piss people off. Your post count is only important to you, not the rest of us. Don't punish us because you want to feel important. It is not allowed, and warnings will result.

How do you Bump a diary? By postwhoring. Bumping is saying nothing to get the diary you are in moved to the top spot on the first page. It is not allowed and will result in warning.

Welcome to ROH TV, this is going to one of the biggest shows we have ever had. So get ready to see the most innovative and best wrestling on the planet.

This is Ring of Honor

A small highlights package highlighting the greatest moments of ROH comes up now. Wolfmothers “Woman” hits and ROH TV has began.

Jimmy Rave vs. BJ Whitmer at 6.40 (No Decision)

The match starts off with Whitmer dominating with his size advantage, Rave keeps bailing out of the ring everytime BJ gets near him and I don’t blame him. Rave slides in and runs straight into a belly to back suplex; he then feels the pain by a Piledriver by Whitmer for a 2 count. Rave fights back and hits chops and a nice leg lariat.

Whitmer dominates the offence with mainly power moves, he climps the top rope and executes a nice frogsplash. Rave is grabbing his neck; Whitmer doesn’t realise and hits an exploder suplex. The referee calls out medics and some of the roster come out to check on Rave. Whitmer is in shock and than wrestlers start pushing him and blaming him, BJ is trying to plead his innocence. He leaves through the crowd, and the fans looked shocked at what they have just seen.

Kevin Steen loses to Jack Evans at 9.50

Steen uses his power advantage early, he executes a perfect back to belly Piledriver. Evans gets chopped hard but fires back with a Moonsault off the ropes. Cartwheel Kick by Evans, he then goes for a Double Jump Hurricanrana but Steen catch’s him in mid air and he goes for a tiger driver for a near 2.

Steen hits a standing SSP to a massive pop by the crowd, he screams “now who can fly”. Little did he know Evans had climbed the top rope and executed 450 DDT. Evans gets up and break dances; he then gets caught by a big chop and kick by Steen.

Steen hooks in the Steenalizer for a near 2 count, Jack gets back on the offence with a shinning wizard he climbs the top rope and 630° time for a shock win and a message to the other members of ROH.

Samoa Joe Promo

Joe comes to the ring with his intense presence radiating off him, he grabs the mike

“Samoa Joe is my name; I have destroyed opponents with ease. I have spilled blood and taken extreme amounts of pain for ROH. There is one wrestler who I respect; this wrestler is a young lion from Japan. Bryan Danielson beat. B Boy at 14.50

ROH SPECIAL VIP SECTION

There has many much talk on who Samoa Joes mystery Japanese opponent will be at ROH Battle Lines Are Drawn. Many legendary names from Akiyama to Kojima have been mentioned. If Ring Of Honor could pull off a open contract signing with one of these Japanese wrestling legends we could very well see a classic.

Ring of Honor came to terms with the Embassy’s Prince Nana this week, what we have heard is that Nana wasn’t committed to the product. There is mutterings that his intentions were to try out for a global promotion, but it is known that they have left on good terms so maybe one day we might see him back.

It will be interesting to see how Jimmy Rave can handle life without the Embassy; I have been told he will confront the issue on next week’s edition of ROH TV from his hospital bed. Rave who injured his neck by BJ Whitmers exploder suplex is in a critical but safe condition.

In other news I can reveal that Ring Of Honor are looking to extend there roster. Several top Indy talents have been contacted to work in ROH. The names I have been hearing are Super Dragon, Arik Cannon, and Sabian. There is even word that Low Ki will be making his ROH return in the very near future. So we will see where this goes and more than likely there will be announcements regarding new wrestlers being brought in.

Ring Of Honors relationship with NOAH has been a very beneficial one with both promotions getting exposure. The news of KENTA competing in Ring Of Honor has boosted the DVD and merch sales through the roof. This just confirms that he is one of the hottest stars in the business at the moment.

The Briscoe’s are fuming over there loss to the team of Davey Richards and KENTA at last weeks ROH TV. Both man have promised that they will get revenge on anyone who stands in there way. Last weeks hard hitting ROH TV left Jimmy Rave in critical condition and Kevin Steen broke a toe in his styles clash with Jack Evans.

B Boy has signed a open contract with Ring Of Honor this week, it seems he impressed the right people with his battle with Bryan Danielson on ROH TV last week. Its well known that B Boy is over the moon with this and will feel right at home in ROH, as he is good mates with Homicide and Samoa Joe.

ROH TV

ROH TV starts as footage of BJ Whitmer injuring Jimmy Rave, Again we Rise by Lamb Of God sets the tone to another edition of ROH TV.

BJ Whitmer beats Jack Evans at 7.50

BJ Whitmer runs down the entrance way to a mixed reaction, Evans comes out to a big pop. Whitmer dominates the early offence with power based moves and a big fall away slam. Hammerlock DDT followed by a series of chops by Whitmer, Jack hits a flip kick and climbs the top rope he hits a picture perfect Moonsault on to the prone body of BJ.

Evans as expected had the standout spot of the early match where he flipped and twisted in mid-air in a seemingly inhuman way. Whitmer got back on the offensive with a massive lariat followed by a leg drop, Evans battled back and hit a hand stand assisted shining wizard. Whitmer missed with a Yakusa kick and Evans hit a Vertical suplex into a cutter. Evans went to the top rope and signalled to the crowd that he was going to go big.

Evans climbed the rope and missed a Ode to Blitzkrieg, Whitmer gets up with strange venom in his eyes and he executes an exploder suplex which the fans groan to as Evans lands awkwardly. He gets the win and plays to the crowd, medics again hit the ring to view Evans injured frame. Unlike last week BJ goes to survey the carnage and starts putting the boots into Evans. He gets on the mike and warns everyone that he will send anyone to hospital wards.

“Roderick Strong runs from the back and trades chops with BJ, they brawl until BJ slides under the ring and he acts to the crowd drawing mega heat.”

B Boy defeats Rick Reyes at 12.50

Both men start this match off with big chops and kicks, the fans are behind B Boy in this match. Reyes starts working on the neck off B Boy with a Neck breaker and a kick to the head. B Boy fights back with a nice back to belly Piledriver. B Boy shows his agility and how he is a master of all styles by hitting a Springboard Moonsault which is called La Quebrada in Mexico. Reyes and B Boy lock up in a test of strength, Reyes bends B Boy who is forced to bridge due to the strength advantage of Reyes.

Reyes kicks B Boy several times in the spine, Reyes applied a Konnan Tequila Sunrise, and then he hit his hard right & left kicks. This match is hard hitting with chops and kicks being executed frequently, Boy came back with a headscissors takedown followed by a basement dropkick to the head.

Reyes hit an STO uranage for a near fall, B Boy fought back with German Suplex, for a near two. A strong running forearm, B Boy climbed the tope rope and performed a nice SSP for a 2 count; he then picked Reyes up and used a Cross Special Brainbuster to get the win.

Samoa Joe beats Tyler Black at 3.50

Tyler comes out of the locks with a dropkick which Joe doesn’t feel, he then trys to charge and shoulder block Joe. A loud fans yells “Joes are gonna Kill You”, Black slaps Joe does this kid want to die. Joe hits a hard chop and executes a headbutt and an enziguri, Black stumbles and walks straight into a muscle buster. Joe doesn’t stop there he hits the Kokina clutch and makes Black tap.

Joe stand up and looks down at Blacks defeated body, he plays to the crowd and he grabs the mike and cuts a promo on how he isn’t scared of no one and how he will win the ROH Title after he has defeated the mystery man at ROH Battle Lines Are Drawn.

Nigel McGuiness beats Chris Hero at 12.50 via countout to retain the ROH Pure Title

Both start the feeling out process and they trade quick reversals but Hero gets the advantage early with a Hero DDT. Nigel counters a lariat with a tiger suplex with a bridge. Both men trade chops and Nigel uses a Horizontal back to belly hold swung into sitout facebuster. Hero is very over as a heel here in ROH, its great to see him and Claudio competing regularly. Nigel hit a nice dropkick and chops, then some Japanese armdrags he started putting the boots into Hero.

Hero hit a senton into the ring, then a nice powerslam for a nearfall at 5:00, and he was in charge. Hero went for his version of the Rolling Thunder, but Nigel got his knees up to block it. Nigel hit a twisting fisherman’s suplex for a nearfall. Hero hit a cravate neckbreaker, then a standing Moonsault for a believable near fall.

Nigel fought back with his unique offence he shocked Hero when he used the Saito Suplex, followed up by a his back kick & inverted DDT combo out of the corner for a nearfall. Nigel then nailed the Tower of London/stunner out of the ropes, for a believable nearfall! They went to the floor, where Nigel nailed DDT on the floor and he used the barriers at ringside to help him. Hero was about to slide back in the ring, but Nigel pulled him to the floor by his foot; Nigel dove into the ring right before the 20-count to get the cheap victory.

“The show cuts to footage of Jimmy Rave in a neck brace lying in hospital”

My life has certainly changed in this past week; I got news that I will be out for a few months with my neck. Prince Nana also came in to me and delivered the news that I wasn’t good enough and that he was leaving ROH. Do you know how it feels to be abandoned and not being able to do the thing I love? BJ you know that when I am back your going to be mine and I will be relentless in my attack.

Nana my mentor you lost the crown jewel and you have lost your chance at greatness. So as you’re sitting at home in your lounge chair, just remember Jimmy is in hospital in extreme pain. When I am fit and able I will be back in ROH stronger than ever.

Bryan Danielson goes to a no contest with Adam Pearce at 5.40

Pearce attacked him immediately and hit some punches and tossed Danielson to the floor, they brawled and Danielson whipped Pearce into the ring post. Pearce hit a back body drop, and he fired up with cops and a nice suplex, Danielson fired back with a hard kick and series of European uppercuts. Dragon went for a Crossface Chickenwing but it was reversed into a rear chinlock.

Pearce hit a Frogsplash for a nearfall, out of know where Homicide ran down the aisle and attacked Pearce they brawled with Cide hitting his Ace Crusher. He attempted the cop killa but was stoped by a chair shot from Steve Corino. Corino and Pearce did a beat down with Cornette watching with a charming grin on his face.

Hey buddy,

I think your diary is very well booked and has some good quality match ups. I think your diary is also easy to read and not too over powering.

BJ Whitmer is pretty much surrounded by contreversy at the moment with a lot of people wanting a piece of him and its gonna be interesting when Jimmy Rave comes back.

I like Roderick Strong also and will be interested to see exactly how far you go with him.

I've seen Nigel McGuiness wrestle mostly in the UK and I think he's a great wrestler so its good to see that you're using him well albeit giving him a cheap victory in the last match :crying:

I really enjoyed the read overall and I definately will be continuing to read. keep up the good work!
