WWF signs Three Wrestlers to Development Contracts

The World Wrestling Federation have signed Female Japanese Wrestler Bull Nakano and American Tag Team, the Dupp Brothers to Development Contracts. All three wrestlers have previously held contracts with the WWF; Bull Nakano was contracted with the WWF in 1994 and held the WWF Women's Championship before parting ways in 1995 after being caught in possession with Cocaine. The Dupps both worked previously in a WWF feeder company known as OVW, before being released. The Dupps have supposedly been signed to bulk up the WWF Tag Team Division. All three wrestlers will report to OVW to work on their final product before making their way to WWF TV

I'm liking the booking thus far. Keeping several people alive in the main event can only be good for you. You've also got a unique situation with this time frame. Rock - Angle - Austin - Jericho are all retardedly over and all could hold the belt.

You're also using the damn near over enough stars (such as Kane) pretty well too.

I'm unsure of where exactly the WCW portion of this is going (with those wrestlers). There is enough talent in that 'left-over' pool to supplement and ADD to the mid to upper mid card in this WWF.

The one thing I really hated about the WWF for pretty much the entire time frame I've watched wrestling, is that the tag team division has SUCKED. I hope you do something with it.

Overall, this is off to a good start. That last Austin segment with the 'what' chants as a good reminder of the time. I'm looking forward to where this goes.

Kudos to the work so far.

Well, this diary is a hit & miss for me. On one hand, you gave Vince McMahon the title, which is a bad decision, but it is realistic booking. Then you have the Round Robin tournament, which is spewing out some great matches, even though they could be saved for PPV's.

The same can also be said for Stasiak. The gimmick you have on him is great, but the person himself, isn't. I'd also doubt they would push someone that quickly from WCW, when you have a WCW Legend in DDP on Heat.

The things that I do like are the Tag Titles, RVD/Key & Kane/Team Extreme.

But this duary has potential, and I will keep reading.

Sunday Night Heat

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Sunday Night Heat! I am Kevin Kelly and I am joined here tonight with the former Tough Enough Trainer Al Snow. What a show tonight we have tonight"

"Kevin, I couldn't agree more and it looks like we're about to kick off right now"

Where's My Respect?

The show opens with WWF European Champion, Christian, coming to the ring and grabbing a microphone. On the way to the ring, Kevin Kelly and Al Snow introduce highlights of last Thursday's Tag Team match between Christian and Key and Rob Van Dam and The Undertaker. Anywho, Christian was in no mood for niceties telling the crowd to shut up and listen because he's got something important to say. He says that he's the WWF European Champion, a former Intercontinental Champion. A Multiple Time Tag Team Champion. He says that he's been in TLC Matches, Cage Matches. Ladder Matches and through all the pain, the sweat and the tears. He's got no respect off anyone. He says he's been cheated. He's been cheated by family. He's been cheated by the company and the fans. Hell he's even been cheated by God. He says its just not fair. It's not right. And he's not gonna stand for it anymore. That's why tonight he is going to have an open challenge to anyone who's got the balls to come down to the ring, get into the ring and get the biggest asskicking of their life. Al Snow said to Kevin Kelly now was his time to shine but just as he removed his headset, Perry Saturn's music hit the ring and Saturn came down to the ring. Kevin Kelly mentioned that Al should keep his cool. Al said he can't believe that a man who used to carry a mop got to the ring before him. To a chorus of "Moppy" chants. Saturn told Christian that if he wanted a fight then..."you're welcome". Christian couldn't believe the cheers Saturn got. Christian looked around at all the fans, jesting that they had no clue before cheap shotting Saturn and starting off the first match of the night.

Match 1: WWF European Champion Christian Vs Perry Saturn

-(KOTW Note - Title is on the line). Christian starts off with an early advantage after cheap shotting Saturn. Christian tries to end the match quick going for a quick cover after hitting a lariat on Saturn. Christian showed Saturn a lot of disrespect in the early part of the match. Saturn took no more of it though after Christian cockily slapped Saturn across the face Saturn responding with a clothesline. Saturn took advantage from here bouncing Christian against the ropes before taking him down with a solid shoulder block before going for the cover but only for a 2. Saturn continued with some basic offence before hitting a beautiful northern lights suplex going for another pinfall attempt Christian kicking out again on the two. Saturn kept on the offence hitting a swinging neckbreaker on Christian. Christian looked like he was in trouble until Saturn decided to go up top and attempt a diving knee drop, Christian rolling out in the nick of time. Christian got to his feet quickly to take advantage of the high risk kicking Saturn in the midsection before going for his patented Unprettier for the victory. Christian defeated Saturn w/ the Unprettier at 3.53 (KOTW Rating - ***)(KOTW Note - Solid match with good action but the crowd were not particularly in to Perry Saturn).

After the Match, Kevin Kelly hyped tonight's Main Event between the WWF Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri and X-Pac. Al Snow then hyped the Number 1 Contender's match for the Womens Title tonight between former Alliance and ECW Wrestler Jazz and Jacqueline.

Recap 1: Kane Vs. Jeff Hardy on Smackdown

Kevin Kelly then took us back to earlier this week on Smackdown for the match between Kane and Jeff Hardy.

Brotherly Revenge – Kane Vs. Jeff Hardy

The match was only going one way from the start. While Jeff Hardy attacked Kane while he was making his way to the ring, Kane’s sheer power outweighed anything that Jeff Hardy to offer. This was seen as early as at the bottom of the ramp where and whip attempt into the steel steps by Jeff was reversed by Kane sending Jeff crashing hard against steel. Kane continued in this fashion chucking Jeff into the barricade before choking him on the outside of the ring with his boot. Can eventually let up and rolled Jeff Hardy into the ring before climbing onto the apron himself. Jeff quickly tried to get back to his feet and fight off the Kane attack but Kane wasn’t gonna take it. Even with stiff right hands while Kane was on the apron, Kane hardly flinched and climbed into the ring before swatting Jeff down like he was nothing but a fly. Jeff got up and bounced off the ropes to give him except momentum but he ran into Kane like he was brick wall. Jeff tried it again and again. But the third time wasn’t so lucky. Kane lifted Jeff over his head and military pressed Jeff up the air before dropping him face first to the mat. Kane looked around. THE END IS NEAR. Kane climbed up the turnbuckle and waited in baited breath. Here it comes…….A FLYING CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL. Kane is back up to his feet and he is looking pissed off. Jeff Hardy is somewhere else but not here. Kane is signalling for it. You know what I mean……CHOKESLAM ON JEFF HARDY! Kane hooks the leg………..1………………2……………..Kane lifts out of the pin. He says it’s not over. Kane stands above Jeff who is trying desperately to get back to his feet. Jeff…No Not Again! CHOKESLAM #2. Kane goes for the cover again……………1……………2………………..Kane gets off again. Kane gets up and grabs hold of Jeff. Jeff can hardly stand. He’s finished. God Damn It Kane, leave him alone. Kane raises back his arm……No Not One More! CHOKESLAM!!!!!!! Kane covers finally……………1…………………………2…………………….3 Kane wins this but not without taking a few years off Jeff Hardy’s life! Lita rushes down to the ring. Her boyfriend is in hospital. Now it looks like her boyfriend’s brother is too. Kane stands in the middle of the ring ready to do his pyro when he stops in mid flow and turns to Jeff. He sees Lita. Kane turns around, Lita unaware as Kane’s head begins to tilt. King shouts “Lita, watch out”. Lita notices Kane’s attention. This is not going to be pretty. Lita stands up holding her hands up as if saying Leave me alone but Kane is no gentlemen. Kane grabs hold of Lita by her top and then grabs hold of her throat when……Mr. McMahon appears at the entrance of the arena with a microphone in one hand and the WWF Championship over the other shoulder.

Vince – Kane stop stop! I can’t allow you to do that!

Kane lets go of Lita who quickly gets out of the ring and begins to pull Jeff out of the ring.

Vince – An unprovoked attack on a woman on Smackdown! Kane, that could do this company serious damage! Hell, there would be feminists everywhere. And nobody wants that happen! By God, it’s another having them as wives and daughters but no more damn it no more!

Kane climbs out of the ring and starts to pace himself up the ramp tugging on his chokeslamming glove.

Vince – Wow Wow Kane, Let me finish. As I was saying..an “unprovoked” attack on a woman would be wrong. However, since I know you’re desperate to get on your hands on Lita, this is what I’m gonna do. Next Week on RAW, we’re going to have a match. On one side of the ring we’re going to have Kane, and on the other side of the ring we’re going to have Lita. And that match is going to be No Holds Barred! Yeah! You like that?

The fans boo loudly as Vince McMahon stands at the entrance, a big smile on his face. Michael Cole says that it’s sick. Tazz just can’t believe it. Kane nods in approval.

Kevin Kelly say that the WWF Champion Mr. McMahon is almost as sick as Kane although Al Snow disagrees. Al said that if Mr. McMahon was as sick as Kane, then Mr. McMahon would have left Kane to do his business right there and then. Either way, next monday on RAW, Kane goes 1 v 1 with Lita in a No Holds Barred Match.

Partners in Crime

Backstage, Hardcore Holly was approached by The Hurricane in the dressing room, who said that since the Alliance had ended and crime was still on the rise, he offers Hardcore Holly the opportunity of a lifetime to join the Hurricane and as he sidekick, battle the forces of darkness in the Wrestling Industry. Hardcore Holly didn't think too much of Hurricane's offer and slapped the Hurricane hard across the face before walking away. That's no way to treat a superhero!

Match 2: Jazz Vs. Jacqueline

-(KOTW Note - This is for the #1 Contendership for the Womens Title). Both women struggled to get an opening sequence off and running but nevertheless, Jazz took control early on. Jazz started off the attack with a basic offense but soon got nasty hitting running powerslam on Jacqueline making a quick cover attempt although it only was for a 2. Jazz carried on the offense with a huge running leg drop going for a second attempt at the pin but Jacqueline wouldn't say die. Jacky tried to turn the sides getting some soft offense on Jazz before getting a huge kick in the gut before hitting the Jazz Stinger on Jacqueline suprising the crowd. Jazz then hooked the leg for the three. Jazz defeated Jacqueline w/the Jazz Stinger in 2.49-(KOTW Rating - 1/2*)(KOTW Note - Poor match in which Jacqueline did not sell very well hurting the ratings. Jazz went over well with the audience). After the match Jazz went back for more on Jacqueline lifting her back to her feet to hit her for a second time with the Jazz Stinger getting even more heat of the audience. Jazz told everyone that "She was the Best!" before getting out the ring to a chorus of boos.

Back at the announce table, Kevin Kelly says that Jazz is one bad ass mother, Al Snow wanting to know if Kevin Kelly was getting racial with him. Kelly said Snow was ridiculous but Snow wanted to know. It's a family show after all people. Kevin Kelly eventually broke the argument reminding fans that next week in the WWF is the culmination of the Round Robin Tournament where Kurt Angle fights Chris Jericho on RAW before The Rock takes on Stone Cold Steve Austin later on in the week on Smackdown. Al Snow says that while all the opponents are great, his money is on the current leader, the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle to win the tournament and go on to face Mr. McMahon for the WWF Championship at Vengeance. Kelly said he was still undecided because it was that close but one thing is for certain. Next week is going to be intense!

Love is in the Air

Backstage, Tajiri was standing beside Torrie Wilson making the finishing touches to his wrist supports. Torrie tells Tajiri that she doesn't know if she's told him this already but she is "very proud of him". Tajiri giggles and says something back to her in Japanese. Torrie tells Tajiri that if he wins, she may have a special victory treat for him later tonight. Kevin Kelly asks Al Snow if it's all of a sudden getting hot in the arena but Al denies it. He says he thinks the temperature is perfectly low, just like Kelly's zipper. Kevin says that is slander. Al tells Kelly just to call the match.

Match 3: WWF Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri Vs X-Pac

-(KOTW Note - Title is on the line). Both of the wrestlers started off circling the ring facing each other before finally locking up. Tajiri started off with the advantage with a few knife chops on X-Pac before hitting him with a snap suplex and goes for a quick pin fall attempt but Pac is not about to lose that easily. Both men lock up again. X-Pac goes for the headlock this time. Tajiri tries to counter shoving X-Pac into the ropes but gets knocked down by a shoulder block. X-Pac bounces back against the ropes, Tajiri tries to go for a hiptoss but X-Pac counters hitting a hiptoss of us his own. X-Pac continues the offensive with a spinning heel kick to Tajiri, before celebrating while Tajiri recovers. X-Pac recieved his usual "X-Pac sucks" chants as he taunted the crowd. I guess he loves to know he sucks. X-Pac continues with some of the basic offense moves trying to keep Tajiri grounded but Tajiri eventually got back to his feet trying to get a quick way out of this match with a bridged german suplex. Alas it was only for a 2 count. Tajiri however DID get some momentum from here finishing off with a beautifully time handspring back elbow smash. X-Pac tried to get back some momentum attacking Tajiri from behind and whipping him into the corner. Tajiri however outmanouvered X-Pac locking in the tarantula on X-Pac as soon as he got to the corner. X-Pac eventually is let loose only to walk straight into a Dragon Suplex from Tajiri who goes for the cover again only to get the 2 count. X-Pac looks in trouble as Tajiri sizes him up waiting for X-Pac before hitting the Buzzsaw Kick for the win. Tajiri beat X-Pac w/ the Buzzsaw Kick at 7.05-(KOTW Rating - **3/4)(KOTW Note - Could start to the match. However X-Pac became sluggish half way through. The fans were not really into Tajiri and cost the overall rating of this match up.)

The show ended with Torrie Wilson coming down to the ring and hugging Tajiri who raised his WWF Cruiserweight Championship belt to the fans. Kevin Kelly and Al Snow wish all the fans a good evening and thank us for joining them! Till Next Week! Peace Out!

RAW PREVIEW

Round Three

This week is an important week for the WWF post Invasion. After 2 weeks of the Round Robin Tournament, this week marks the culmination of the battles between WWF Superstars, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho. Tonight on RAW, Kurt Angle takes on Chris Jericho in the Main Event in which promises to be an interesting confrontation as both Superstars superstars seemed to be on the same page till last week on Smackdown where Chris Jericho attacked Kurt Angle in his match against Stone Cold. Has Chris Jericho finally got bitter for all the assists he has made for Kurt Angle, and yet him not even being off the mark yet in the tournament? Find out how this all unfolds only on RAW tonight.

RAW also sees the APA back in action tonight, as they continue their quest for the WWF Tag Team titles tagging with Rob Van Dam to take on the WWF Tag Team Champions Bubba and D-Von Dudley and Key. Key had dominated this current rivalry until last week on Smackdown where Rob Van Dam brough The Undertaker as his partner in the tag team match. WWF Crusierweight Champion is also in action tonight taking on non-another than Steven Richards in a Non-Title Match. Tajiri obviously wants to continue his good form as he waits for a new challenger for the WWF Cruiserweight Title. However, none of these matches could be as shocking as the the match between Lita and Kane. WWF Champion Mr. McMahon proudly booked this match as a No Holds Barred Match allowing Kane free reign to hurt an innocent woman. Can Lita perform an upset or will Kane do exactly the same as he did to the rest of Team Extreme. In addition to a hot action line up, Marc Mero is also scheduled to debut tonight. Who knows what Mero has to say tonight on his return to the WWF.

Tune in to TNN, the home of WWF RAW

Raw Is War

WWF RAW kicks off as usual with a warm welcome from Good Ol' JR and Jerry 'the King' Lawler

"Ladies and Gentlemen, WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW! I am Jim Ross alongside Jerry the King Lawler for an action packed night and King, what a NIGHT we HAVE"

"JR I couldn't agree with you more. We're into the last week of the Round Robin Tournament and we have a no holds barred match between Kane and Lita. RAW is the ONLY place you can get action like this"

Third Round Stipulations

The show opens with WWF Champion and Chairman of the board, Vince McMahon coming to the ring and grabbing a microphone. On the way to the ring, JR comments that no matter what they say about Vince McMahon and no matter how crazed he sometimes is. He is one heck of smart sob. Anywho, Vince McMahon welcomed the crowd saying that it's good that people with such mediocre lives are able to enjoy it sometimes, just like he does every single day. Vince says that WWF Championship symbolises everything that is Vince McMahon. "Being the best in the Industry". He challenges everyone in attendance to ask any Wrestler that works outside the WWF and that they will always be second best. Unless he shows them mercy....Vince claims that over his time in this industry. He has been very "merciful" and that people like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle wouldn't be who they are today if it wasn't for him. At that point, Kurt Angle came to the ring. King noted that currently, Kurt Angle is leading the Round Robin Tournament with 4 points although JR says that he's only leading through alphabetical order and in fact, Stone Cold Steve Austin was also on 4 points. To a chorus of "Whats" from the crowd, Kurt Angle stated that despite being a 2 time WWF Champion, a former Gold Medalist in the Olympics and World Championships, and a hell of a good looking guy, that he totally agrees with Vince McMahon and that Vince McMahon is in fact the main reason that Kurt Angle is where he is today. Oh it's true. It's damn true! Kurt says that it would be a dream come true and an honour to face Vince McMahon at Vengeance. Just as Vince McMahon was about to respond, the countdown started on the titantron and Chris Jericho made his entrance to the arena. Chris Jericho said that Kurt Angle was pathetic and said that Vince McMahon was not stupid enough to succumb to Kurt's mind games. Kurt said that he doesn't play mind games, and in case Jericho didn't notice, he has integrity. Kurt said that if anyone was dishonest then he had to look no further than at his reflection because Jericho backstabbed him last week on Smackdown. Jericho found this amusing and called Angle an assclown. Kurt said if anyone was an assclown, Jericho was an assclown. Angle and Jericho faced off before Vince intervened. Vince told them both to shut up and that in case they didn't notice, he HATES being interrupted. Vince said that all this being said, he was glad that the two of them were in the ring because what he has to say concerns both of them and their Main Event match up tonight. Vince says that as an ambassador of good sportsmanship, he is nothing but disgusted with the amount of interference and cheating going on in the Round Robin Tournament. That's why, in case either of them decided to have special plans tonight about getting buddies of theres to help, then they better think again because tonight's match is strictly no intereference. He said that he has ordered The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin to stay at their homes tonight and that if ANYONE intereferes in the match up tonight, both wrestlers will be disqualified from the tournament. And that's the bottom line, cos Vince McMahon said so. Vince's music then hit leaving the two wrestlers left to confront each other while Vince left the arena (KOTW Note - Good opening sequence for tonight's RAW, the crowd really eating up the segment)

The show then goes to a comerical break.

Match 1: WWF Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri (w/Torrie Wilson) Vs. Steven Richards

-(KOTW Note- the title was not on the line). JR stated that Tajiri seems to be really smitten with Torrie Wilson and King said he didn't understand what a woman like Torrie saw in a guy like Tajiri. Richards what on an the early offensive trying to ground Tajiri anyway he could. Richards kept the early part of the match slow moving with a few holds firstly keeping Tajiri grounded with a headscissors before then getting Tajiri in a headlock. Richards kept on top countering some offense by Tajiri getting behind him and locking in an abdominal stretch on Tajiri. Richards continued to remain on the offense locking Tajiri in the full nelson camel clutch showing obscenities to the WWF fans. Tajiri tried to counter the move while he was in the clutch position making Richards let go and try to beat him back down. The match began turned after Richards decided to go up top after Tajiri kicked out to the Stevie-T (Implant double underhook DDT) Tajiri grabbing hold of the ropes causing Richards to lose balance to the pleasure of a previous worried looking Torrie. Tajiri then followed Richards up the turnbuckle hitting a beautiful superplex on Richards starting "ECW" chants followed by a pin attempt. Tajiri then began to take control of the match with some strong offense with Tajiri nearly ending the match with a bridged german suplex, Richards only just kicking out in time. Richards desperately tried to get in the match only to get a an irish whip countered into the corner of the ring and then getting locked into the taranatula. JR called the move one of the most original moves on WWF TV. Tajiri then climbed up top and went for a flying crossbody. Richards however caught Tajiri in mid air, lifting Tajiri into a powerbomb position, who in turn countered it with a beautiful tornado DDT. The crowd stood on their feet and clapped not noticing a body moving through the crowd. Tajiri went for the cover.........1.............2..........the referee is pulled out the ring. Tajiri looks up as the body slides into the ring.....it's Marc Mero. Mero went straight to work on Tajiri to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Mero finished the job by hitting the TKO on Tajiri before posing for the crowd. JR was calling Mero all of the words under the sun, while Mero was eating all the crowd's love up. The trouble was by no means over though. As Mero was leaving the ring, he was distracted by Torrie Wilson who tried to attend to the unconscious Tajiri. Mero turned around and stood over the two of them smiling before grabbing hold of Wilson by her arm and hoisting her up. Wilson looked frightened. JR pleeded from the announce table for him to stop! However before anything could happen, Crash Holly dashed to the ring with a steel chair in hand causing a quick exit from the ring by Mero delighting the fans. Crash looked pissed off as Mero escaped through the crowd making a "call me" gesture to Torrie before disappearing. Tajiri bt. Steven Richards by DQ via intereference at 6.48. -(KOTW Rating - **3/4)(KOTW Note - Good technical match up of good quality but the fans weren't really getting into the two wrestlers that well. Marc Mero's debut got a good response from the crowd and recieved some good heat.) Crash stayed with Torrie as EMTs came down to the ring to check on the condition of Tajiri.

After the match, JR and King recapped on the debut of Marc Mero. King said that since Mero's promos started airing, Mero promised to make an impact and he did nothing but that tonight. Jr said that there was other ways to make an impact than beating up a woman and her boyfriend, but King disagreed. King said that wrestlers sometimes had to do things they wouldn't want to in order to make it big and with all that in mind, neither of them knew for sure that Mero was going to harm Torrie Wilson. JR said that this isn't the only woman abuse tonight as later on, Kane is going to take on Lita in a No Holds Barred Match. "That's not all" proclaimed the King. "We also have a huge six man tag match between RVD and the APA and The Dudleyz and Key". "And who could forget our main event" JR said. "Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, what a slobberknocker thats gonna be!".

The Joke of The Round Robin Tournament

Backstage, Chris Jericho was pacing around his locker room when Charles Wright came into the picture with Key to the jeers from the crowd. Jericho enquired as to what they wanted to what they want but Wright assured Jericho that hostility was not needed. Wright said he thought this was an opportune time to introduce Chris to the 6ft 4, 315lb beast, known as Key. Jericho mocked Key's name saying it was certainly "original". Wright told him not be fooled by gimmicks and names, as names can be decieving. Wright said that he guarantees that at Vengeance, Key was going to choke the life out of Rob Van Dam and become the WWF Hardcore Champion. Wright then reminded Jericho that Key doesn't choke when it comes down to Championships, unlike himself who currently is the only man not to score a point in the WWF Championship Round Robin Tournament. Jericho said that Wright had some cheek. Wright claimed that he was only stating the facts and sometimes the truth hurts. Jericho promised Wright that tonight, he was going to prove to the World that he is no joke and that is a guarantee. Wright and Jericho smiled at each other before the show cut to a break.

Match 2: Kane Vs. Lita

-(KOTW Note- This match is a No Holds Barred Match). When the show returned, Kane was making his way down to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. JR said that Kane was psycho and that he has no honour. King says that since the WWFs war against the Alliance, Kane has changed and that if anyone is to blame, its WCW and ECW. After Kane's pyros hit. Lita cautiously entered the arena slowly walking down the ramp to a hungry monster, who waiting for her in the ring. Lita slowly got onto the apron before putting on leg through the ropes before pulling it back out and jumping back to ringside as Kane advanced. JR said Lita must be terrified but then as Kane stood at by the ropes, Lita's fear turned to a smile and she pointed behind Kane. "My God" cried JR, "It's the Hardy Boyz". Matt and Jeff slid into the ring so quickly attacking Kane from behind that Kane didn't have any time to breathe. Both of the Hardyz attacked Kane with multiple punches before both hit Kane with dropkicks knocking Kane off his feet. Matt told Jeff to go get a ladder, Jeff climbing out of the ring to go under it when just out of nowhere. Kane sat up to everyone's suprise. Matt tried to attack Kane but Kane grabbed with his big right hand. Jeff slid into the ring with a chair to save Matt but Kane quickly let go of Matt and kicked a big boot into the face of Jeff knocking him down to the ground. Matt Hardy tried to blindside Kane jumping on his back but Kane quickly backed into the corner taking the wind out of the other Hardy boy dropping Kane. Kane then backed away raising his right arm back and hitting Matt with a huge chokeslam. Jeff was getting back to his feet only to suffer the same fait as his brother. After Kane was finished with the Hardyz, Kane turned his attention back to Lita who looked like she saw a ghost when Kane turned to her. JR begged with Kane to stop it but Kane had lost it. Kane jumped out of the ring and chased the fleeing Lita up the ramp. Lita was so nearly made it away too before tripping at the top of the ramp, Kane catching her with no time. "MY GOD NO KANE!" JR screamed! "PLEASE NO!" but it was no use as Kane lifted Lita up showing his sacrifice to the crowd. Kane then tombstoned Lita hard against the steel entrance ramp to huge boos from the crowd. JR was appauled and so was King. Neither of them could believe what Kane had just done. EMTs rushed to the scene with medical equipment as Kane just stood there. The Match ended as a No Contest after Interference at 5.54. (KOTW Note - Kane gets over with the crowd again). There is a forced TV break as Lita recieves treatment.

When the show returns, JR and the King go over what has just happened. JR comments that the match up was sick to start with and Kane only had one thing on his mind when this kicked off. King commented that something in Kane must have gone off because he has just lost it, but he has never seen Kane so strong as he destroyed the Hardy Boyz with such ease. JR believes that Kane must suffer the consequences if there is anything good in this world, he has to suffer the consquences of his actions.

Is Edge a Coward?

As Lita is being carried in a stretcher, Shawn Stasiak hits the ring. As he passes Lita, he looks briefly before shaking his head and laughing before making his way to the ring and grabbing a mic. Stasiak recieves huge heat from the crowd as he centres himself in the ring. Stasiak tells the crowd that they just have to grin and bear him because he knows they don't want him there and if he's honest, he doesn't want to see them either. After all he says, he is groomed for fame and the people in the crowd are groomed for doing things like cleaning his pool and dry cleaning his clothes. Stasiak asked the crowd if they knew what "Breaking Kayfabe" was before taking it back and saying that he apolgised for expecting too much. He explained that breaking kayfabe is basically when someone such as an actor or a wrestler breaks out of their gimmick to show their real self. Stasiak said that is exactly what he is doing now. Stasiak said that when he was in the Alliance, Stephanie and Shane McMahon did everything they could to put him down. He said they intentionally made him look a fool because they didn't want him to get a break. Stasiak tells the crowd that everyone that wants to put him down can shove it because he is a Second Generation Wrestler. He is the "Perfect Athlete" and that if anyone is "Mr. Perfect", it's him, not Curt Hennig. Stasiak says that's why Edge is scared of him, because deep down, Edge knows that he can't beat him. "Edge is nothing but a coward". Bring on Edge who makes his way to the ring, microphone in hand and Intercontinental Title in the other. Edge gets into the ring and raises his Championship to the crowd before dropping it to the floor and turning his attention to Stasiak smiling. Edge looks bemused and tells Stasiak, that he wants to ask Stasiak face to face, man to man if he still thinks he's a coward? Stasiak looking slightly regretful, eventually answers bashfully with a "yeah sure I do". Edge tells Stasiak and the crowd that he guesses the cat is out of the bag and that he didn't want it to come out like this, but since he's been left no choice, he guesses that he has no choice but to "confess" and that confession is.......BAM! SPEAR BY EDGE ON STAISAK! The crowd go wild as Stasiak is flattened by Edge is spear. The crowd go wild as Edge straightens himself off before grabbing hold of his championship belt and raising it the crowd one more time as his music plays. Edge looks over at the floored Stasiak one more time and shakes his head before climbing out of the ring and walking up the ramp. Serves himself right exclaims JR but King is less impressed. "How can you attack a guy of Stasiak's credentials? Sure, he's a bit of a jackass but he's a second generation wrestler." King can't believe how disrespectful Edge is. JR says that Edge is great champion and that he is sure that if Stasiak wants a shot, Edge will give him a shot cos Edge is a fighting Champion.

Mr Monday Night

Backstage, Kevin Kelly is hanging back with WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam. Kelly asks RVD if he heard Charles Wright's comments earlier on in the night and RVD nods approvingly. Rob Van Dam explains that he did in fact here the comments and that it's all good. RVD said that he in fact agrees with Wright to a certain extent as Chris Jericho definately can't win the big one in his estimation. However, with regards to his comments about Key winning the WWF Hardcore Championship, RVD believes that Charles Wright should see a doctor because that dude is delusional. RVD agrees that Key is a very talented athlete as he doesn't know many athletes of that size that can do the stuff that Key does and thats cool! But Key has been around for a long time now and he's yet to make a name for himself. For RVD personally, he doesn't know if he ever will, but one thing's for sure. The WWF Hardcore Champions belongs and will remain with one person and that person is Rob - Van - Dam

Match 3: WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam and the APA Vs. WWF Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz and Key (w/Charles Wright)

Bubba Ray Dudley and RVD started off the match trading off punches before Bubba took RVD down with a shoulder block responding to early fan jeers with an "up yours" remark. Both men circled the ring before locking up again and Bubba powering Rob into his corner bringing in an early tag from D-Von giving them them sometime to double team before Bubba is removed. D-Von keeps on the slow offensive using a snapmare to get Rob to the ground before trying to lock in a headlock only to be countered and taken down. RVD and D-Von square off again and lock up,D-Von then offering a shoulder barge to Rob. RVD gets back up quickly and D-Von goes for more offensive but Rob manages to stop D-Von with some martial art offense. The first pinfall attempt came quickly after when Rob took D-Von to the corner, before trying his monkey flip manouver, D-Von reading into dodging. Rob jumps onto the second turnbuckle out of instinct but D-Von waiting and slamming him hard against the canvas before going for a cover. D-Von tagged back out to Bubba who continued on the offense on Van Dam. Bubba however slipped up when Rob Van Dam dodged an attempted leg drop before getting chinned by a stepover heel kick. Bubba and RVD both tagged out, Bubba tagging in Key and RVD tagging in Faarooq. Faarooq tried the offense with Key trying to knock him down but Key didn't barge. Key then tried to shoulder block Faarooq but Faarooq refused to budge either. Key settled the dispute with a vicious eye rake before knocking down Faarooq with a clothesline. During Key's offense of Faarooq, Key kept taunting RVD to try and get him to come in the ring, distracting the referee to allow Bubba or D-Von to come into the ring and help him double team Faarooq, Key trying to pin Faarooq on many occasions, only to be stopped by Bradshaw intereference. Key's dominance didn't last forever, as a slip up caused Faarooq to capitalise with a huge spinebuster on Key taking both men down to the ground. JR commented that Faarooq used every last bit of strength to take down the 300lb Key down wit that spinebuster. Even King was impressed. Key tried to get to his feet as Faarooq crawled over to the corner. Key desperately tried to stop him but it was too late. Van Dam was back in. Key and Van Dam faced off in the ring, Van Dam daring Key to make the first move and Key nodded as if he was ready before turning around tagging back in Bubba. Van Dam was furious however and attacked Key. Bubba the legal man attacked Van Dam bringing out chaos in the ring, Van Dam and Key taking it out to the outside while the APA and the Dudleyz brawled in the middle of the ring. Van Dam was taking advantage on the outside before Wright tried to get involved distracting Van Dam's attention allowing Key to capitalise with a huge clothesline to the back of his head while Faarooq and Bradshaw cleared the ring from the Dudleyz as the show goes to a commercial break.

Back from the break and D-Von is in the ring with RVD choking him in his corner, before tagging Bubba back in to deliver some more chops. JR recaps on what we missed during the break where RVD was beaten badly on the outside by Key, Van Dam crashing into the steel steps. Back in the ring Bubba is chopping away at RVD culminating his attack with a Bubba bomb only to get his pin fall broken up once more by Bradshaw. Bradshaw is desperate to get in this match. Bubba tags D-Von in D-Von and D-Von climbs up the turnbuckle hitting the Dudley Device on Rob Van Dam, D-Von once again going for the cover. RVD managed to get a break when a Spinning Cresent kick connected with D-Von before getting the hot tag to Bradshaw. Bradshaw was exchange hands before tossing Bubba and D-Von into opposite corners of the ring and and splashing both of them. Brashaw then backdropped D-Von before bodyslamming Bubba on top of him. Key tried to assist but was met by Faarooq who took him down with a football tackle Key dropping to the outside. Bubba got up first only to be met by Rob Van Dam who hit a sharp side kick into his face knocking him to the outside before Bradshaw finished D-Von with the clothesline from hell to pick up the win. Rob Van Dam and the APA won the Six Man Tag Match at 14.45 -(KOTW Rating - **3/4)(KOTW Note - Good solid match with Key starting to get more over with the fans.)

Focus back to JR and King who hype up the Main Event which is moments away. JR asks the King whether Kurt Angle can make the final step to becoming the Number One Contender for the WWF Champion tonight or whether Chris Jericho is going to ruin the 1996 Olympian's Party. The King says that he's certain that tonight is the night where Kurt Angle makes the first steps to becoming a 3 time WWF Champion as he is technically superior to Chris Jericho. JR says that you can't right of Y2J just yet, even if he is a jackass.

Warming Up

The cameras go backstage to see Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho making their final preparations for the match, our main event..UP NEXT!

Match 4: Round Robin Round 3 Match - Kurt Angle Vs. Chris Jericho

Angle backed Jericho into the corner to start things off. He did it again after the ref broke them up and pummelled Jericho in the corner. Angle kept Jericho in the corner hitting him with some European Uppercuts before dropping him entirely in the corner with a running shoulder thrust. Angle choked Jericho in the corner with his boot before the ref pulled him away and Angle celebrated in the middle of the ring. Jericho get back to his feet and fought of an attack from Angle with a rake to the eyes before hitting Angle with a huge back hand chop that echoed through the arena. Angle chopped Jericho back but Jericho’s chops were much louder getting a huge response from the crowd before Jericho hit Angle with an uppercut. Jericho quickly took Angle down with a standing dropkick before getting up and doing his own celebration in the middle of the ring to a chorus of “You’re an Asshole Chant”. Jericho cockily went for a quick pin on Angle placing his foot on Angle’s chest but Angle kicked out on the one and attempted to get back to his feet. Jericho was having none of this however and football kicked Angle in the gut winding Angle. Jericho continued trying to keep Angle down before attempting to finish the match off hitting Angle with his one handed bulldog before attempting the lionsault. Angle was ready for Jericho however and had his knees up, knocking the wind of Jericho. Angle took the advantage back for himself clotheslining Jericho. Angle locked the crossface chickenwing on Jericho slowing down the action before a german suplex bridge attempt getting a 2 count. Angle knocked the lights back out of Jericho with a second clothesline and going for another cover attempt but once again a 2. Angle locks Jericho in the bodyscissors position. JR tells the audience how the bodyscissors compresses will “choke the life outta ya”. Jericho gets out of the hold and gets back to his feet and tries to get some momentum taking Angle down with a couple of clotheslines. Jericho then starts to slap the hell out Angle’s torso before grounding Angle again with a lariat going for another cover. The fans turn back on Jericho now Jericho has the momentum and Jericho loses valuable time taunting the audience before climbing up the turnbuckle. Angle however is quicker than Jericho thinks and he quickly charges to the turnbuckle climbing up and hitting Jericho with an arm drag from the top rope both men going hard down against the canvas. Angle puts an arm over Jericho in another pin fall attempt but Jericho kicks out on the two. Angle gets back to his feet first hitting Jericho with some some basic offensive moves followed with a German release Suplex. Angle gets back to his feet and stomps away on Jericho before jumping up and down signalling time for the Angle Slam. "It's time for the Angle Slam JR" proclaims King as Angle sets himself up. Jericho however is also ready for the Angle Slam and Jericho quickly counters, suprisingly Angle and the fans before hitting him with a beautiful underhook backbreaker. Jericho crawls over Angle and covers him again and nearly gets a pin fall if not for Angle getting the shoulder up. Jericho is blatently upset by the decision and starts to choke away at Kurt. Jericho raises Angle to his feet and slaps him hard, harder than before. Angle's torso is a strong red colour. Jericho wants to end this now. Jericho uses the ropes as leverage hitting Angle with a running enzuiguri. Jericho goes back to the turnbuckle. "The top rope has not been Jericho's friend tonight" says King as Jericho climbs the turnbuckles. Angle is in zzz-land and Jericho wants to take advantage. Jericho hits Angle with a Missile Drop Kick. Can Jericho get the cover this time...........1......................2.........................2.9 Angle gets the shoulder up again. Angle is not done yet and Angle gets out of Jericho's clutches before hitting Jericho some back handed slaps of his own. Jericho however is shocked that when he whips Angle into the ropes, Angle counters, not only by kicking him in the gut but by taking his feet from under him and attempting to lock in the walls of Jericho but Jericho is quick to the ropes. Angle pulls Jericho off the ropes and slams him hard on the mat before grabbing hold of Jericho's ankle and going for his ankle lot, but this time Jericho rolls up Angle and nearly gets a quick fall, Angle retaliating with a huge clothesline. Angle bodyslams Jericho hard to the ground. Angle and Jericho must be tired now says JR. Angle attempts a moonsault on Jericho but this time, Jericho has his knees up, both men returning to their feet, before Jericho sweeps Angle's feet away and goes for the Walls of Jericho himself. Angle looks in desperate trouble. Will Angle tap? Angle is near the ropes but Jericho pulls him away. Angle has to crawl back again but Angle makes it even when everyone else thought he was going to tap. Jericho stands above Angle cockily and then turns to face the crowd when Angle lunges out of nowhere and takes Jericho down this time. Now what? The Ankle Lock by Kurt Angle. Jericho this time is writhing in pain. Jericho surely is going to tap. He is crawling towards the ropes. This time Angle continues the torture pulling Jericho back. Jericho is raising his arm......he looks like he's going to tap.......then out of nowhere Jericho counters into the roll up.........1........................2........Jericho has the tights.........3........Jericho steals it! Chris Jericho bt. Kurt Angle via the roll up at 19.35. -(KOTW Rating - ****)(KOTW Note - Top class match between two great athletes. One of the best matches so far. Who says two heels can't get good ratings?)

After the match up, Jericho quickly dives out of the ring where he begins his celebration to the displeasure of the WWF fans. Kurt Angle gets to his feet very quickly enraged telling the referee that he had hold of his tights while Jericho parades up the ramp like he just won the WWF Championship. "Chris Jericho may have just cost Kurt Angle the #1 Contendership for the WWF Championship" shouts King. "Jericho disgusts me" responds JR. Obviously he will never be a part of the Y2J fan club anytime soon. The show ends with Jericho doing his Y2J pose at the top of the ramp before the screen fades to black

Mate I think your on a winner with this diary, I liked that you seem to really know your wrestling and this rubs off on the way you book. Personally I loved the idea of Tajiri being with Torrie Wilson thats gold. Personally I dont like Lita so imagining her getting tombstoned hard against the steel entrance ramp was very enjoyable. I can see why you would have RVD with the hardcore belt because he wasnt really established as a main eventer in 2001 post invasion.

One thing I can give you a little pointer on is maybe try and use paragraphs a little bit more frequently so its easy to read and follow. Other than that I will continue to read and look forward to seeing this diary develop. So keep the good work up and you have a reader here in me.

I loved RAW, and every other show so far. I really think that this is one of the best in the Dome at the moment.

I'm curious to see where you are taking Kane, hopefully he'll have a handicap match against the Hardyz as a blow off or something.

Loved Mero's debut, I really didn't expect it though.

Keep up this great diary,

Slain (Y)

Smackdown

We kick off with Michael Cole and Tazz welcoming us to another edition of WWF Smackdown! Michael Cole says that tonight is going to be one of the biggest nights in the history of Smackdown as the WWF Championship Number One Contendership Tournament Ends Tonight on Smackdown! Tazz says he can't wait and that the Round Robin Tournament has been nothing but insane with every competitor putting everything they have into these matches but only one man will take it all.

What's all this Aboot?

The night gets underway with Test who makes his way to the ring in his wrestling attire grabbing a microphone. Test says that he has something to get off his chest and there is no better place to get it off his chest than in the ring. Test takes us back to Survivor Series where he reminds us that if people hadn't forgotten, he won a 20 Man Battle Royal Tournament that guaranteed one wrestler a 12 month contract with the company. He says that bearing this in mind, and the fact he is a former US and Intercontinental Champion, that since the WWF won the Winner Takes All Tournament, he has been dropped to the bottom of the pile. He then says what confuses him more is that people that were also in the battle royal and lost, such as DDP, Raven and Justin Credible, are currently wrestling on RAW and Smackdown!!!! Now What's that all aboot? Test then goes on to say that whether the WWF like it or not, he is one of the finest wrestlers the company has ever seen and he dares anyone to say any different....

Bring on Tommy Dreamer who came to the entrance equipped with mic and kendo stick. Dreamer said that all talk and no action and that if he is looking for a fight, then he's got one! Dreamer then drops the mic and tightens his grip on the kendo stick before walking down the ramp. Cole says that it looks like we've got ourselves an impromtu match.

Match 1: Test vs. Tommy Dreamer

Dreamer slides in the ring ready for a fight but so is Test getting on top of Dreamer before he can kick off disarming him. Test lifts Dreamer and bounces him off the ropes for what would be a devistating back body drop but Dreamer counters before hitting Test with a swinging neckbreaker. Dreamer this time does the taunting recieving a loud "ECW" chant. Dreamer went back for but Test fought out with some strong punches before fighting back with strong offense which ended with a huge full nelson slam on Dreamer. Test was adament this was over and finished Dreamer off with the pumplehandle slam before covering Dreamer for any easy 3. Test bt. Tommy Dreamer via pumphandle slam at 2.35. -(KOTW Rating - ***)(KOTW Note - Test picked up some heat from the crowd with Dreamer going over well also).

After the match Test grabbed hold of Dreamer and threw him out of the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd before grabbing the mic once more. Test asked backstage if that is the best they can do and that they should not insult him with jokes like Dreamer. Undertaker decided he wouldn't and hit the ring with his motorbike to the applause of the crowd. Test stood in the ring in total disbelief as the American Badass drove down to the ring, and began circling it before parking by the announce tables. Test did not lose eye Contact with the Deadman as the Undertaker parked up and climbed off before climbing the ring steps. Test looked horrified as the Undertaker starred at him with his dead eyes before climbing into the ring and raising his arms to the crowd. The American Badass is in the House says Tazz and Cole commenting that Test must be wishing he had kept his mouth shut. After Taker had saluted the crowd, Taker stood in front of Test as he slowly took off his coat and sunglasses and said something to Test. Test nodded back and Taker was amused. Taker gested to Test to bring it on to him slapping his face. Cole said that things could explode any minute. Test stood there as Taker dared Test to hit him but Test didn't make a move. Test then did something totally unexpected and jested away before quickly climbing out of the ring. "Test did not want a piece of the Undertaker" exclaimed Michael Cole as Test moved up the ramp, Taker standing in strong in the middle of the ring. Cole called test a coward while Tazz defended him, telling Cole that he's already fought one match today and he didn't want to be a disadvantage guaranteeing that this wasn't over.

Time to Unite

Backstage, Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho were arguing about the result on RAW, Angle telling Jericho that he damn right screwed him out the WWF Title, but Jericho was less than sympathetic. Angle told Jericho not to mock him because he'd break his freaking Ankle but Jericho was not fazed by Angle's threats telling Angle to do his best. However, just before things kicked off, the WWF Champion and Chairman of the board, Mr. McMahon halted the argument telling that they need to shut up and pay attention. McMahon said that they need to understand that whether they are or whether they are not in the running for the WWF title, the two of them need to know that he values there ability and needs them. Vince says that he senses that tonight, things may begin to get ugly and that's why it's important to Vince that both Jericho and Angle stay on the same page. Vince asks them both if he can count on them to which both answer "yes". Vince is pleased and tells them that he thinks they need a "bonding session" and so he is putting them in a tag team match against Val Venis and Funaki. Oh...and that match is NEXT!

Match 2: Tornado Tag Match - Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho Vs. Val Venis and Funaki

(KOTW Note - As it's a Tornado Tag Match, all 4 competitors start in the ring at the same time). Jericho pairs up with Funaki and Angle pairs with Val. Jericho and Angle start off the match on a huge offensive taking

it to Funaki and Venis with a huge but basic offensive attack before Jericho hits a dropkick on Funaki while Angle hits a belly to belly suplex on Venis. Angle then grabbed hold of Val shouting to Jericho "this is how the pros do it" before hitting Val with a german release suplex. Jericho then proceeded to grab hold of Funaki and kicks him in the gut before hitting Funaki with with a powerbomb with a pinfall attempt, Angle breaking it up asking him what he's doing. Jericho pushes Angle back and almost costs Angle the match when Val cheekily tries to roll him up and would have probably have pinned him if it wasn't for Jericho. Jericho and Angle both take it now to Venis finally getting on the same page both kicking Val into the gut before hitting a double suplex on Venis. Funaki then gets hit with a double suplex. Jericho orders something to Angle and Angle lists making his way to Venis before the two men lock in their finishers, Angle with the Ankle lock on Venis while Funaki gets locked in the walls of Jericho. "Who will tap first?" shouts Cole as both men look in serious pain anyone about tap any moment. Both men then proceed to tap at the same time to the delight of Tazz as both men raise their arms in victory. Which win got the match? Both men turn around and surround the referee shouting their case to the referee. Neither of these men wants to give the other the victory as they continue to argue. Jericho angry at the situation snatches the referee away and raises the referee's arm declaring himself the winner. Angle, not happy about this, then pulls the referee and he raises the referee's arm. Jericho snatches the referee back and raises it a second time, refusing to let sleeping dogs lie. Angle thinks about doing it again but Jericho warns him and Angle backs off. Angle lets Jericho keep his arm raise as he drags the refere to the edge of the ropes, gloating to the fans. But wait! Here comes Angle, Angle snatching Jericho away and hitting the Angle Slam on Y2J. The fans are shocked. Angle's music blasts out of the PA system as Angle gets out of the ring satisfied with his actions, Jericho holding the back of his head on the canvas while Michael Cole wonders if these two guys will ever be on the same page? Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle bt. Val Venis and Funaki at. 3.54.-(KOTW score - ***)(Chris Jericho continue to get extremely over with the fans).

After the match. the camera goes back to Michael Cole and Tazz who take a trip back to Wrestlemania X7. Precise part. The Main Event. Rock Vs. Austin. Both announcers agree that the history between these two is huge and anything is possible tonight.

I love blondes....

Backstage, Torrie Wilson is chatting to some of the make up girls when one of them stops chatting, the camera turning to reveal Marc Mero standing there a suit. Torrie Wilson asks him to leave her alone, but Mero says he can't do that. He says that he's recieved some bad press recently with regards to what happened to her boyfriend Tajiri on RAW. Torrie asks him to leave again, but Mero said that he wants to make it clear that he would have never hurt her and that she's got him all wrong...he's not a fighter, he's a lover. Torrie says that he disgusts her but Mero says that he knows that she doesn't mean that. How could someone not like this? He tells her he understands that she needed a man to latch onto to break into the WWF and he respects that, she's only doing what a load of other women in the WWF did like Lita and Sable. However, if she wants to reach the top, she needs to be with the top. Mero says that she has two weeks to decide. Come Vengeance, whether she is with him or not. He's gonna become the WWF Cruiserweight Champion and after that happens, he's not gonna want to be associated with the woman of a loser like Tajiri. Mero smiles at a concerned Torrie before walking off. Cole calls Mero "an arrogant son of a bitch". Tazz confirms that the card for Vengeance is offically on it's way.

What?

Further backstage, The Coach is waiting with Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Coach asks Austin now that the finale of the Round Robin Tournament is less than an hour away, whether he feels he's prepared? Stone Cold asks The Coach why he asks Stone Cold such stupid questions? Stone Cold said that he's prepared in the only why the Rattlesnake knows how to....he drank a beer. two beers. three beers. four beers. five beers. six beers. seven beers. eight beers. nine beers. ten beers..and a bloody mary.....what?....and a bloody mary. Stone Cold tells The Coach not to get him wrong and that he has a lot of respect for The Rock, but the fact of the matter is that in just under an hour, Stone Cold Steve Austin is going to step into that ring and open a can of whoop ass on The Rock, becoming the Number One Contender for the WWF Championship and that's the bottom line.....COZ STONE COLD SAID SO!

Match 3: Shawn Stasiak Vs. Perry Saturn

Stasiak seemed really fired up for this match after being attacked on RAW. Stasiak took down Saturn to the mat very quickly hitting Saturn with some strong back hand chops before whipping him into the ring and taking him down to the floor with a dropkick. Stasiak continues on the offensive slamming Saturn hard to the ground before climbing the turnbuckle dropping a flying axehandle onto Saturn before going for the pin but only getting a two. Stasiak hitting Saturn with a scoop slam before hitting him with a running leg drop before going for a second cover but Saturn once again got the shoulder up. Saturn soon was fighting back into the match, hitting out as Stasiak tried to leave to get him up, before eventually getting his break through when an irish whip attempt by Stasiak ended in a shoulder tackle. Saturn continued the offensive move with a swinging DDT before going for the cover but only for a 2. Saturn went up top and went for the Saturnsault but Stasiak was well scouted and he rolled out of the way, Saturn landing hard against the mat. Saturn was then hit with a huge fishman DDT by Stasiak followed by a rolling neck snap. Stasiak taunts the crowd telling that he's the greatest, before turning around to the flattened Saturn. Stasiak wants to end this match and jumps up and down on the spot. Saturn doesn't know where he is......Stasiak hits Saturn with a fisherman's suplex with the bridge for the three. Shawn Stasiak bt. Perry Saturn at 7:46-(KOTW Score - ***)(Good technical match with Stasiak on the offense most of the time. Saturn is also getting over with the fans)

After the match Stasiak grabs a mic and returns to the ring telling the audience that they have just witnessed first hand the genius that is Shawn Stasiak, the Mecca of Manhood. Stasiak then goes on to say that he's had time to think about what Edge did on RAW and that right now, he'd love nothing more than to beat the holy hell out of Edge. However, Stasiak clarifies, there is a time and a place for that sort of a match and it's not in a dump like this place. Stasiak issues a challenge to Edge. 1 v 1 at Vengeance for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. This sparks the arrival of the WWF Intercontinental Champion who sports a huge grin. Edge tells Stasiak that if he wants to get his ass kicked, then he's more than happy to supply it. Edge confirms that at Vengeance, he and Stasiak will go one on one for the Intercontinental Championship.

I HATE YOU

Back to the announcers, Michael Cole and Tazz announce that while Stasiak was challenging Edge at Vengeance, there was an incident backstage.

When the cameras finally work backstage, the camera focuses on Kevin Kelly who is lying flat out on the floor before moving upwards finally estabilishing what did this....Kane...

Kane, breathing heavily, says its time to make it exactly clear why he did what he did to Team Extreme last Monday on RAW, even though he feels that he doesn't need to justify himself to anyone but himself. Kane says that he thought he understood people. He said that he was told by some that people didn't care about looks and that it was about who you were inside that counted. But now he realises that all that was by bull by people who wanted to use him, just like the way its been his whole life. He said the fans never cared about him, they only ever cared about the WWF and after he helped the WWF win the war against the Alliance, he was tossed away into the darkness, just like he was when he was a small child. And then, there was the Hardy Boyz and Lita. Kane says he's seen the tapes, he's seen the autograph sessions. Kane feels that no matter how useless they are, as shown at Survivor Series when they dropped the ball, fans don't give a damn because as long as they take their shirts off and dye their hair purples and reds, they will always be loved. But soon, that is all going to change. Kane says Vengeance will be his, and soon, Matt, Jeff and Lita will be scarred, just like him, and they will see what it's like to be a monster. Kane swats the camera man away and the camera goes black before we return to the announce team. Michael Cole and Tazz look stunned, and recap on what Kane has just said. Michael Cole can't get over the fact Kane wants to intentionally scare three kids that just want to wrestle. Tazz empathises saying that Cole doesn't know what it's like to be deformed and scarred; Kane is only retaliating to how people treat him. Tazz for one says he can understand that. Hmmm me thinks Tazz is a bit crazy....

Match 4: WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam and DDP Vs. Raven and Justin Credible

-(KOTW Note- Diamond Dallas Page came out and said that tonight that he was going to be tagging with the WWF Hardcore Champion against two people that have been trying to end his positivity. But with Mr. Thursday Night...R...V...D by his side, they were going to triumph over negativity....and that's not a bad thing...THATS A GOOD THING!). Rob Van Dam and Justin Credible and DDP and Raven paired off at the start of the match, RVD catching Justin Credible with a spinning heel kick sending him to the outside. Raven got hit shortly afterwards with a flying clothesline from DDP, before Raven rolled to the outside to try and regroup. Van Dam wasn't feeling in a giving mood sadly and shortly afterwards, Van Dam was over that top rope crashing into both Raven and Credible. An RVD chant quickly broke out in the arena and Van Dam rolled Raven back into the ring, getting the attention of an extremely positive DDP. Page hit a snapmare on Raven locking in a chinlock on Raven who even though was playing the heel, had the fans behind him as he tried to get out of it. After getting out of it, Raven got on the advantage taking DDP down with a rising knee to the face of DDP before tagging in Credible. Credible looked like a man who was desperate to make a name for himself attacking DDP with a strong offense before hitting a sweet Front Facelock Drop on DDP attempting a cover that probably would have got the 3 if it wasn't for Van Dam. Credible brought DDP back into his corner tagging in Raven who went on a double team on DDP, Van Dam accidently distracting the referee. Raven then went for a bulldog on DDP almost getting the 3 count again, this time DDP getting the shoulder up. Raven tagged in Credible again who beat heavily on DDP, Michael Cole and Tazz agreeing that DDP desperately needed to make the tag to Rob Van Dam. This opportunity came when an overconfident Credible was taunting a bit too much, allowing DDP to get up off the ground, ending with a huge discus clothesline knocking down Credible. Both men crawled over to their corners, Raven been tagged in just before Page made the hot tag to RVD. Van Dam flew into the ring and went straight at for Raven clotheslining him down, Credible tried to stop his momentum but he went down as well, then Raven again, Van Dam knocked Credible out of the ring with a huge sidekick. Raven then got whipped into the corner of the ring before getting hit with RVD's patented forward roll into a monkey flip. Van Dam hit a standing moonsault on Raven before going for a cover but only a 2. Credible tried to get back in the ring but DDP pulled him off the apron and the two of them brawled on the outside as Van Dam hit the rolling thunder on Raven for another pinfall attempt but only for another 2. Van Dam had the fans hugely behind him as he hit a falling slam on Raven before doing the usual R-V-D speil to the crowd. Van Dam jumped on top of the turnbuckle and started his R-V-D sign once more but wait......what the hell is Charles Wright doing here. Wright jumps onto the apron distracting the referee. VAN DAM behind YOU. Key climbs onto the apron and slams Van Dam down to the ground, Wright climbing down when the dirty deed was done. Raven gets back to his feet and lifts Van Damn..............BAM RAVEN EFFECT! Cole is NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS Raven makes the cover....................1...........................2.............................3 Page is helded back from breaking the count by Credible as Raven gets the pin fall. Raven and Justin Credible bt. Rob Van Dam and Diamond Dallas Page at 12.32-(KOTW Rating - ***)(Key and Wright get over again as does Justin Credible and Raven. The fans also seemed deflated that RVD lost).

After the match, the camera focuses on Wright and Key who stand at the bottom of the ramp while Raven and Credible are walking away sending a b-line to Van Dam. Tazz claims that Key stands a really good chance of winning that Hardcore Title with Charles Wright. Wright apparently knows what he's doing. Cole says that Rob Van Dam is a marked man.

The Rock is Ready

Backstage, The Rock is standing with Coach, moments away from the Conclusion of the Round Robin Tournament. After The Rock declares that he has Finaaaaaaaallllllly Come back to the Arena, The Rock talks about the current situation in the Round Robin Tournament. The Rock says that he is aware that he is currently lying in third place and that The Rock HAS TO beat Stone Cold to become the Number 1 Contender for the WWF Championship. But The Rock knows Austin is beatable. The Rock hasn't forgot about Wrestlemania X7 and The Rock won't forget it. He said that The Rock used to respect Austin but after he screwed him over, The Rock needs, no no The Rock demands Vengeance. And thats the bottom line Austin, cos The Rock said so......Do you smell what The Rock is cooking people?

Michael Cole and Tazz hype up the Main Event one last time. STONE COLD...THE ROCK! NEXT!

Match 5: Round Robin Finale - The Rock Vs. Stone Cold

-(KOTW Note - The Rock and Austin had very comparable cheers from the crowd and it was hard to gauge who the fans were rooting for with many parts of the audience shifting from Rocky to Austin chants). The two superstars of the WWF both entered the ring and saluted the fans before they circled the ring keeping eye contact. Both men stopped and then stepped forward staring at each other in the eyes. The bell rang and the two continued to stare before something happened that wasn't expected....Mr. McMahon hit the ring and demanded that the match be stopped as he had something very important to say that was directly relevant to both of them. Vince McMahon said that he wanted to take the two of them back to one week ago, on Smackdown.

Smackdown 15/11/2001

Vince – Now, as you may have heard. I am currently in discussion with the board members of the World Wrestling Federation in regards to the blatant disregard for the rules that one Stone Cold Steve Austin showed me last week.

Crowd – What?

Vince – Now Stone Cold! I don’t know how the hell you think things are run in the WWF but they certainly aren’t like the alliance. As far as I am concerned, hell, you’re lucky to even have your JOB!

Crowd – What?

Vince – But I’m a decent man!

Crowd – What?

Vince – Hell, sometimes I’ve even a giving man. For example, I gave myself this WWF Championship belt right here.

Vince McMahon smirks at his comments

Vince – So I am GIVING YOU one week’s notice that as of right now, the legitimacy of this round robin tournament is being discussed.

Vince McMahon stands at the top of the ramp of the arena smiling, his WWF Championship rapped over his shoulder. Vince says that after one week of deliberation, the World Wrestling Federation Board have decided that as a result of the actions of one Mr. Austin and other competitors, that the board have no other alternative than to regretably CANCEL the WWF Number One Contendership Round Robin Tournament. He then goes onto say that while he understand the fans don't respect him as the WWF Champion, he says that as far as he is concerned, the fans can go kiss his ass because now the Alliance is gone...there is no one in the world that can stop him! Not even The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin and that he will remain the WWF Champion for the foreseable future. "And That's THE BOTTOM LINE.....COS VINCE MCMAHON SAYS SO". Vince McMahon's music hits the arena, the fans in up roar as both competitors stare at each other in the ring. The show ends with Vince McMahon standing by the entrance clutching hold of the WWF Championship Belt with a sick grin on his face as the screen fades to black....

This is really solid here.

Cola was right...that Jericho/Angle match was very good.

Interesting signing Monty Brown...wonder how long before he shows up?

I hate Stasiak and Mero, but what your doing with Stasiak is interesting atleast. Mero still bores me.

I do hope to see guys like DDP and Storm featured a little bit more, and please don't ignore the CW division like WWE always has.

And amn it man! you had have Dreamer look like a total bitch!? I understand putting Test over...but ya couldn't of given Tommy a lil love, ya know.

I love the writing style, for the most part. solid matches, and well written segements. Vince canceling the tourney was interestin...see where you go with that one.

Overall I really like this so far...just get that title off Vince quick! :-)

Keep pushing Stasiak. He had so much potential until they made him that out of the planet freak.

And love how you sign the Cat!! loved to see him in the shows soon!.

Interested to see the gimmick you give Monty Brown also.

All right, Dave, let's see what you got.

--We have a huge research error from the start, as you're starting the diary on November 5th, 2001. Survivor Series wasn't until November 18th. But I suppose this is nitpicking. Gives you a couple more weeks to build to Vengeance. Either way, it would have been good form to include the SurSer results in the backstory AND put your Current Champions with your roster. (To be continued...)

Moving on to the shows:

Raw Nov. 5th:

--Marc Mero? Interesting, I guess.

--Okay, this is where the above thing about the Champions roll call comes in. Your title for the Edge/Storm match is "Who will be the next IC challenger?" Okay, sounds like a #1 Contender's match if I don't know any better. You make no mention at all during the match of Edge being the IC Champion, no mention of whether or not it's a title match, and you go on to do absolutely nothing in later weeks with Storm, who appeared to be soundly beating Edge's ass for most of the match. Would Lance have issues with Stasiak for interrupting the match? I would. Would Lance be harassing Edge, looking for another shot? I would. Edge v. Stasiak v. Storm could be a pretty fine match, but no dice, eh? And wait...Storm was Alliance. And so was Stasiak. What the hell are they even doing here this early? Any explanation? Gotta say, this entire storyline was lost from the start.

--Honestly, I have to agree with those who can get with Vince awarding himself the WWF title. But, again...why no mention of him wanting Stone Cold to have to grovel and beg for his job? You could have had a heyday with Vince laying on the ego, having his most hated rival out of a job with the rest of the Alliance. But instead, Steve shows up like it's another day at work, right down to getting attacked by the boss. Very iffy show that could have picked up at any time, rather than after one of the biggest watershed moments in wrestling history. Other than Vince dustbinning the WCW title (and did Rock just willingly hand THAT belt over? Somehow I doubt it), this could have been any other show.

SD Nov. 8th:

--Careful with the British jargon. Don't think I've ever heard Vince McMahon use the term "dole money."

--Liked the finish of Austin v. Jericho. But...(to be continued)

--Any particular reason Steven Richards got another Hardcore title shot? Not like he lost by shady means the first time.

--I had to go back and do a little research to figure out who the fuck Key even was. If he just showed up unannounced on SmackDown, I'm sure there would have been crickets chirping, even if he was attacking RVD. Maybe the announcers could have filled in the blanks there.

Heat 11-11:

--See, now this was good research, indicating that Spike was the reason for the APA's last title win. Definitely helped the presentation for the match. Set the scene a bit, you know?

--Key whipping Crash's ass= (Y)

--You say it yourself in a segment title: "Former Alliance Members Battle it Out." Again, why do DDP and Raven have jobs right now? And DDP was truthfully injured at this time, didn't return until January. Just saying.

Raw 11-12:

--(continued from above)...WHERE THE HELL is Jericho's whining about the injustice of a corrupt referee costing him a win over Austin? Where is the tantrum and histrionics? Instead Jericho sounds happy that he's in a must-win match. Totally bass-ackwards non-heel promo.

--Again, a fun finish between the APA and the Dudleyz, but it's kind of (not very, but kind of) similar to the Austin-Jericho match. Careful not to overuse it.

--Okay, good to see that Mero has to hitch his career to a woman...again. :lmao:

--Okay, if the Godfather is using his real name, is he no longer coming to the ring in his full pimp regalia? No ho's? Again, set the scene a bit and let people picture what's happening. These little details can really help.

--Okay, Jeff Hardy getting cut off mid-promo to show Vince Has Stone Cold Arrested, Part 930,302. Love that, and if you have no plans to use that for a Jeff Hardy anti-authority push or main-event heel turn somewhere down the line, that will be a complete waste.

--Rock v. Jericho was a pretty solid bout, and the kind of overbooked indecisive clusterfuck this sort of match should be if it's on free TV. Don't worry, that was a compliment.

SD 11-15:

--You write, "King shouts, 'Lita, watch out!'" It's SmackDown. Details...

--A video showing some of Marc Mero's greatest matches? Love those three-second clips... :P

--Hey, our first Undertaker sighting. We've seen everybody in your ME and Upper Mid roster...except William Regal. And just where's he?

--And just exactly WHY is Big Show ringside with DDP? Is he losing morale in the game and you just HAD to use him for something?

--The whole Austin v. Angle match worked out quite well, I thought. And Jericho looking to sabotage whoever now that he's eliminated...that's exactly what he should be doing right now.

Heat 11-18:

--Good to see Christian getting a tiny bit of heat back after getting absolutely bitch-raped by Undertaker and RVD and sold out by the new guy.

--Is Hardcore Holly going to do anything other than slap cruiserweights?

--Honestly, you've got Al Snow and Kevin Kelly portrayed as the most entertaining announce team of the three, and possibly the most entertaining thing in the whole diary.

--Tajiri v. X-Pac makes for a good Heat ME.

Raw 11-19:

--The Angle/Jericho confrontation was great. Putting those two together should be microphone gold, and you did that one pretty well. As opposed to The Rock, who's been like a pull-string doll spouting nothing but his catchphrases.

--Okay, Mero coming after Torrie and Tajiri...good motivation and should be a decent match. Like it.

--Wright has some cheek?

--Kind of odd, seeing a No Holds Barred match end in a No Contest, but it does make good sense, as Kane wasn't concerned with pinfalls, just injuries. Good job putting over his newly refound (more on that later) sadism.

--Okay, Stasiak just got WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too Vince-Russo-era-WCW for comfort. I half-expected JR to start going off about, "HE'S SHOOTING! MY GOD, HE'S IGNORING THE SCRIPT!" Other than that, the promo was perfectly acceptable. Oh, and if Stasiak wants to be the new "Mr. Perfect," he MUST feud with the original. HINT, HINT.

--The six-man match was reasonable formula booking and a reasonably well-written bout. Wright's worked well as a mouthpiece, and there should be an entertaining brawl coming between RVD and Key.

--"You're An Asshole Chant?" Can't say I've ever heard a crowd yell that at a show. Five syllables. Doesn't flow very well. Other than that, Angle and Jericho worked great for me, in the ring just as much as on the mic. Somebody needs to turn and these two need to work together for a while.

Between shows:

--K-Kwik, Monty Brown, and The Cat all signing at the same time? Maybe it's just me, but that sounds like an interesting stable. And I don't even care much for The Cat.

SD 11-22:

--Okay, finally Test shows signs of life. And gets The Undertaker. Nothing else for Taker to do at Vengeance, I take it?

--Once again, Angle and Jericho deliver for you and all us readers. Nice angle, nice match.

--Kane finally gets to cut a heel promo. Seems like this should have been done a little sooner, but meh. Let's get past him killing Matt, Jeff, and Lita at Vengeance and see what he can do with a higher-level opponent. Oh, and how about a 3-on-1 inferno match?

--Does DDP have a lot of friends, or what? First Crash, then Big Show, then RVD? Maybe there's something to that positivity stuff, but it seems that it may be time for him to pick a partner if he wants Raven and Credible at the PPV.

--Wow...bait-and-switch like a mother. It'd be a real surprise if the crowd at that show didn't riot. Now there's no tournament, Vince still has the title...you'd better have something good in mind to establish who's the contender and still have something for the others to do.

SUMMARY:

I'll be honest, Dave, there are more holes in this thing than a 20-pound wheel of Swiss. So much of what you've got going on seems like it was done with darts or something. There's way too many Alliance guys floating around with no explanation, and the ones that are there are being criminally misused (e.g. Lance Storm) or crazy overused (e.g. the whole Raven/Credible v. DDP program, which just came out of nowhere and appears to be headed back there).

While Angle and Jericho are being written very well, Rock and Austin are simply catchphrase machines. Those two can be just as unpredictable on the mic as Angle and Jericho, but you've not made them that way at all. The only credit is that you did have Jericho make fun of that fact. The more we go along, the more convinced I am that Vince would have simply awarded a title shot to Kurt Angle, if not the title itself. And there was no mention of him stripping either Austin OR The Rock of the titles that they had held, which gets your whole main-event story off to a head-scratching start.

Key's starting to get over as the generic monster heel, and it makes sense to start him off with RVD for a nice wild highspot brawl. BUUUUUUUUUUT...let's say you put him over RVD. Would a feud with Kane immediately after that help him out? I think so...

...but wait, you turned Kane for no particular reason. Maybe he got thrown aside after SurSer, but someone needs to ask him what he expected. He didn't give anyone any time to throw him aside, he just started demolishing the Hardyz and Lita. He might have been the guy that you could have left off the shows for a couple of weeks, then had him go crazy about no respect...

...much like Test, actually. Except Kane wouldn't have been squashed by the Rock in his first match back, hopefully. Is Test actually supposed to be taken seriously against the Undertaker?

You've got two or three characters who are working really well, but the booking seems backwards (at best) or completely random (at worst). I am interested to see where exactly you can go from here, and I really hope it's better than where we've been.

I give this diary *1/2 (star and a half) out of five. Try to tighten it up and map out exactly where you want to go with some of these stories, and you can have a decent work here.
