WWE: Re-Writing A Legacy

Now...Now. What you must be thinking is this might be another shot at the WWE for being crap and yabba dabba doo. But....wait we ain't different. I am just here to show you how cool WWE could be, and to show pro Wrestling is not fucking dead. But there again it may be dead inside.

We start off in the lead-up to January 2008 and it December 2007. Fresh off the Survivor Series PPV which was a huge success: These were the results:

Sur05.jpg

RAW Side Of Survivor Series:

Intercontinental Championship Match: Jeff Hardy© defeated Super Crazy & Johnny Nitro (Via Swanton Bomb to Crazy)

Street Fight: Triple H defeated Shawn Michaels (Via a Pedigree through the Announcers Table)

Women's Championship Match: Mickie James defeated Ashley© (After a Roll-up)

WWE Heavyweight Championship Match #1: John Cena© defeated Edge (After a F-U)

WWE Heavyweight Championship Match #2: Randy Orton defeated John Cena© by DQ...Cena retains the WWE Heavyweight Tite

SmackDown! Side Of Survivor Series:

U.S Title Match: Chris Benoit defeated Rey Mysterio© (After making him tap out to the Crippler Crossface)

Cruiserweight Title Match: Gregory Helms defeated Chavo Guerrero© & Bryan Danielson (After Helms nailed Bryan Danielson with a top-rope Shinning Wizard)

ECW vs SD Match: King Booker pinned Test (After a Book-End)

World Heavyweight Title vs ECW World Heavyweight Title 4 Way Dance Match: Batista (World Heavyweight Champion) defeated Claudio Castagnoli (ECW), Rob Van Dam (ECW) & Bobby Lashley (ECW World Heavyweight Champion) to unify the ECW World Heavyweight & World Heavyweight Title (After a Batista Bomb to Lashley)

This is where Survivor Series ends. A 10 Man Tag Team Elimination Match. Classic Survivor Series Style with WWE vs ECW:

Team WWE defeated Team ECW:

Team ECW Consisted of: Rob Van Dam, Bobby Lashley, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu & C.M Punk

Team WWE Consisted of: The Undertaker, John Cena, Chris Benoit, Edge & Rey Mysterio

Elimination Order:

-Tommy Dreamer was eliminated first after Chris Benoit made him tap out to the Sharpshooter.

-Chris Benoit was eliminated second after Punk locked in the Anaconda Vice

-Sabu was the next eliminated after Cena hit the F-U

-Rob Van Dam was next after the Undertaker hit a Tombstone

-John Cena was next after Edge speared him as revenge for their match earlier in the night.

-Edge was eliminated next after Cena F-U'ed him through the announcers table as Edge got counted out.

-C.M Punk was the next eliminated after Mysterio hit the 619

-Bobby Lashley was the last person eliminated after a 619-Tombstone Piledriver combination.

As a result ECW will be abandoned.

The next night on RAW, Vince McMahon walked out and stood on the stage as he spoke:

Vince: Tonight ladies and gentlemen. We witness the ECW Abandonment Draft, as we all know last night ECW was abandoned due to their loss to my supreme Team WWE which destroyed and the legacy of ECW....IS DEAD! *Vince Laughs Hysterically* But tonight the brands were drafted by Long & Coachman. I'll just help you a bit by correcting your grammar for you.

RAW officially opens up with Edge backstage with Maria as they are doing an interview:

Maria: Tonight...the Rated R Superstar, Edge will get another chance at the WWE Heavyweight Champion, but instead of just him and (John) Cena, it will be him, Cena, C.M Punk & Randy Orton. Edge, how do you feel right now...

Edge: Does it matter how I feel? Tonight the fact is this, John Cena got lucky at the Survivor Series, and then had the cheek to give me that Death Valley Driver rip off move called the 'F-U' through the announcers table eliminating me from the WWE vs ECW Survivor Series Match. But tonight Cena, it's all about MY chance - not anybody else's, but since that idiot Jonathan Coachman put two others in the match tonight. (There's something hugely missing here to bridge, but I digress) One of them is that stupid Punk off ECW and my past partner who is an embarrassment, Randy Orton, who does not deserve the shot more than I do. So ladies and gentlemen, the most watched WWE Champion goes back on top, as tonight will be the end of.....Cena.

Edge leaves Maria as we cut to the arena.

Apart from the fact you've given us no backstory for the eighteen months in between the start of the diary and the present day, there is no way that the WWE had give away a World Title match directly after a PPV on RAW, and have the title change.

And I'm afriad that you can't re-write a legacy of the future. Legacy = past.

I'd quite you to do a brief re-cap of the past few months. Just so that I know what is going on. As well as everyone else who will read this.

And a little point, Batista was a Unifaction match with three ECW guys at Survivor Series? That's a bit unfair don't ya think?

It was good just don't understand giving Punk the title right away, I understand you want it off Cena, however, a slow build to Punk eventually winning the belt would have been more satisfying but thats my only complaint thlought it is a big one but like I said the show was good and the Main Event was built pretty well with previous segments.

What has happened on the PPV's for the past 6 months:

WWE-Backlash06_banner.jpg

RAW Presents: Backlash "A Wrestlemania Fallout"

-Our first match on the card was a self proclaimed "New Skool vs Old School" match, with the former Tag Team Partners: Carlito & Ric Flair who wanted to see if New Skool could beat Old School or Old School could beat New Skool, the match was a back & fourth affair as Carlito hit a Springboard Senton on Flair for a 2. As Flair fought back with chops he managed to dodge a Clothesline from Carlito to hit a Butterfly Suplex followed by a Figure Four Leglock for the win.

Winner: Ric Flair

-The next match on the card was between Super Crazy & Kenny who of which beat Super Crazy the last week on RAW via a low-blow followed by his pattented Leg Drop. But Crazy then challenged Kenny to a match right here at Backlash as the match saw Crazy perform many high flying techniques managing to wear down Kenny, but Kenny managed to strike back moving out of the way from a Crazysault. As Kenny got up to the top rope and hit the Leg Drop but Crazy kicked out at 2. Crazy was then picked up as Kenny looked for a DDT but Crazy reversed it into a Tornado DDT and then picked up Kenny and hit the Crazy-Bomb for the win.

Winner: Super Crazy

-Our third match on the card was a Tag Team Title Match between The Hardy Boys and Cryme Tyme who won this opportunity by defeating Cade & Murdoch on RAW. The match started off with an outside fight with JTG throwing Jeff into the crowd then to working on Matt. As Shad then delivered a boot to the head of Matt knocking him down allowing JTG to hit a top-rope elbow drop for a 2. Jeff came back to help Matt only to be caught in a G-9 as Cryme Tyme picked up the win.

Winners & New World Tag Team Champions: Cryme Tyme

-The next match of the night was a Wrestlemania Re-Match between Bobby Lashley & Umaga. But this time there were no rules and Vince McMahon served as referee. As the match saw Vince McMahon hit Lashley with a chair, Umaga couldn't finish him off in time. Shane McMahon then came down and Vince made it a handicap match as Lashley was given a Van Terminator followed by a Flying Splash from Umaga for a 2. Suddenly Vince was knocked out in the hands of Lashley who put him through a table with a Dominator, then it was an all-out brawl but suddenly the glass smashed as Steve Austin came out to the surprise of the crowd and went inside the ring to even the odds as Stunners were given to Shane McMahon, Umaga & Armando Alejandro Estrada. As Vince McMahon came inside the ring and was given one as Austin took the referee shirt off McMahon and put it on himself and counted Lashley's pin. As Lashley was about to celebrate Austin raised hell once more with a Stunner as Austin had a beer bash at the end of the match.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

-The show is 2 matches away from ending as this was the match that many have waited for. It was a Street Fight between Edge & Randy Orton who made the team Rated RKO. But they soon broke up and it turned serious at this point. Many weapons used as Orton pulled out a barbed wire bat and swung wildly at Edge as he busted him open, Edge fought back though with a Edgecution through the Spanish Announcer's table and then a ladder came into play. Edge pulled the ladder up onto the Backlash stage as he set it up near the edge as there were tables stacked on eachother as Orton ran up and blindsided Edge with a vicious chair shot. As Edge recovered him and Orton were up a ladder straight away trading punches back and fourth as Orton got the upper hand and gave Edge an RKO off the ladder through the tables below for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

-Our main event for the evening was the Wrestlemania Re-Match. Between John Cena & Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title again, as both men took their fight to a whole new level as Michaels tried for a Asai Moonsault but instead crashed through the announcer's table landing on Jim Ross. As Cena started to shout at Michaels he done what Michaels done to him at Wrestlemania and Piledrove him onto the steel steps and threw him into the ring for a two. As Michaels fought back he caught Cena with a Sweet Chin Music which got a huge pop from the crowd as Cena put his foot on the rope, Michaels then went ballistic by stomping on Cena's leg as he mimiced his STF-U as Cena managed to roll over for a pin for a 2. As Michaels & Cena got to a vertical base , Cena tried for a F-U but Michaels reversed it and got to his feet and then hit a Sweet Chin Music and then tuned up the band once more as he hit another Sweet Chin Music before going atop and then drilling Cena with an Elbow Drop, Michaels has the pin but suddenly the lights went out as the referee is down and Randy Orton is standing behind Michaels who is stood up in disbelief and then gets hit with an RKO~! Orton then hits Cena with an RKO and then puts him on top of Michaels as the referee revived and counted the pin.

Winner & Still WWE Champion: John Cena©
