I gotta say that my biggest complaint with Bravely Default is how unimaginative every dungeon is. It's either feeling like the exact same dungeon from earlier in the game or a clone of a dungeon from another game. The job system is fantastic though, so that makes up for it.

Just wait until you're past Chapter 4. You'll have bigger complaints. Game takes a nose dive in entertainment once it gets literally repetitive.

Got to level 5 and it was.....ok, I guess. My friend joined at the same time, same server and everything...but we couldn't see one another. Would be more fun with friends. I can see me giving up on this after my trial.

I seem to remember there being different instances within the same sever... Can't remember exactly what but there's an easy way to get together. May have been as simple as add your buddy as a friend in game then log out/in again?

Also, it's very quiet.

you see lots of people running around....but the chat is dead....and you can't add people to your party.

It does say on the site that the trial is not the full game and some stuff is limited.

Still, an MMO is a social game....to restrict people from socializing with their friends seems silly. I imagine they'd get a lot more buys from people if they didn't restrict that feature.

Started the game today! Just got the Black Mage job...and man, this game is pretty much Final Fantasy without the title. Same classes, same spells, same items....fuck, they even have the Mage Masher dagger from FF9!

Pretty fun so far! And I like the thing with rebuilding the town!
