The PS2 will likely look like a slightly downgraded Wii version, with the PSP likely a slight downgrade of that.

EDIT: The video looked a bit hokey to me. Odd animation and reactions, but that likely won't be how the game looks.

Create a finisher sounds pretty damn cool in theory. In practise though I can see it coming off horribly.

It's about time they finally did something with tag matches. Co-op story mode should be great, and a much needed feature. I've been wanting to play any semblance of a career with someone since 2.

Everything else said in the interview is the standard stuff everyone's likely grown used to. "We're fixing that", "the fan's wants are what matters most", "we're updating the animations, online, graphics, etc.". Nothing overly impressive.

The Wii version sounds like it will definitely be shit though. Surprised they're still going to pump out a PS2 version.

I'll enjoy the game over the past few years as long as they add a lot of moves back in, take out the limiting restrictions and expand the rosters. But none of that will occur.

Hmm, not bad at all, I'm actually pretty excited for the newest Smackdown vs. Raw game. I like the video, but highly doubt the actual gameplay will look that good and come off that smooth, but who knows. *shrugs*

I'm wondering if they multiplayer Career Mode is back since the video highlights the feature of team work and even says something to that effect in the slogan.

if its released for the PS2 I'll get it soley for the create a finisher. I didn't buy 08 and I'm glad i did but a create a finisher is just too tempting

It can only be better then '08. Create a finisher, re-written AI and all the other shit thrown in sounds like this is going to be very enjoyable, if they can live up the hype. But no stuff for us X-Boxers?

Through a combination of getting bored of the wrestling game genre and wrestling as a whole, the last game I bought was Here Comes The Pain. I might get this one though, after watching the teaser trailer on the website the graphics look amazing. I especially like the "hot tag" feature that shifts momentum.

To me the PS3/360 versions look too polished. It seems like know they're trying to step up their game now that it (finally) seems that Impact is coming out soon.

Impact won't sell half of what Smackdown will... THQ is stepping up their game because the last few editions have fucking sucked and reviewers and fans are calling them out on it. The game looks pretty, it always does, but I passed on 2008 because it just seemed like a broken game. Hopefully they'll stop with all the bullshit gimmickry and just make a goddamn wrestling game.

Oh my fucking god. What is it with developers thinking that adding bloom makes a game look good? I don't care how much oil or water or sweat is meant to be on these wrestler's skins, their muscles should not reflect light THAT MUCH!

Wow... The create a finisher addition is an awesome one. That and Co-op career mode are two great additions to an otherwise dull series.

EDIT- One thing Im not sure about is the shared momentum thing. Dont think its good that if you have a fresh Jeff Hardy on the apron and Matt gets the shit beat out of him, that Jeff has to take whatever Matt takes.

...Momentum, not damage. They share their finisher bar, but their health remains separate. What I want to know is if the momentum bar is shared, how does that affect the superstar's stored fighting style icon?
