True Blood

Oddly enough I still find time to socialise, its mostly my college work that takes the hit >_>

Tonight's episode...

While Sookie tries her best to cope with Bill's obligations to Jessica, Maryanne charms the locals at Merlotte's with Sam powerless to stop her. Jason makes a good impression on Steve and Sarah Newlin at the Light of Day retreat, but his roommate Luke is starting to get jealous.

Sounds more character based than furthering any of the main storylines (like what the hell the thing that killed Miss Janet was), but I'm interested to see how Sookie reacts to Jessica. I hear the series is taking a road trip to Texas at some point as well, which should make for interesting watching. I'm also looking forward to seeing Evan Rachel Wood's cameo in the show.

Finally just finished watching all of Season One and the first two episodes of Season Two, so I'm all caught up.

It's safe to say this is one of my favourite TV shows in years, if not of all time. As I said before, I wasn't sure after the first episode, but things really have turned great from there. Many twists and turns, some of it madly over the top, but they do it so well that it works for me. The main thing I'm loving right now is how much I actually love all of the characters, there's really nobody I dislike in this. I'm gutted with how they killed off Amy though, really was hoping that would last longer.

The Maryanne stuff is pretty crazy and I'm really interested to see where they're going with this. I'm also intrigued to see whether or not Jason slowly turns and goes up against Bill after being brain washed by all this God stuff. And honestly, Lafayette as a vampire is going to be pretty awesome. I'm also really hoping Zero is right in saying this could go a good five or six seasons, awesome stuff.

I'm really hoping they turn Lafayette into a vampire, not having him on the show anymore would suck. After watching the last episode, I'm not sure whats going to happen though.

There's been a lot of hype on the net surrounding Layfette from the gay community, in that a lot of people are saying he could be quite an influential character on the show, so I wouldn't worry about him being written off, at least not for a while. He was supposed to die at the end of series 1, I believe.

I've heard she's something called the maerned(I think that's how its spelled) . I think she's a very powerful witch and I think that sculpture that sam was holding onto in her house has something to do with her power.

I think Layfette will be turned and eventually go after Jason for getting him into the mess and maybe Jason stakes him or someone from the church does it.

Bill got really pissed at Sookie last episode. I wonder if he kills the family. i figure he will glamour them though because if he kills them Sookie wouldn't like it.

I'm starting to like the Eric character more and more. Hope he sticks around.

What's up with the new waitress at Sam's place? she seems weird to me.

Looks like a relationship is starting up with Arlene Fowler and Terry Bellefleur(the army vet). I hope they don't later reveal he's a killer too.

I think Tara's new love interest might have killed Miss Janet or it was Mary Anne

I find Andy the detective hilarious. Hopefully he gets his shit together and returns to form but for now drunk andy is good.

Awesome latest episode, for me, True Blood brings the goods and plenty more every time it's on.

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!? We've got the fucking monster from Drag Me To Hell hunting Sookie now? That thing was insane. When I heard the noises, I figured we'd be seeing a werewolf, but that was some serious demon from hell Buffy Series 7 shit. Totally can't wait for more information on that, and the scene at the start with Sookie being near dead and Bill's blood not working... fantastic stuff.

I think we're going to see Terra become a little more aware of what happens with Maryanne now, I can also see her and Sam being the ones to take her down with Eggs having to make a choice somewhere down the line. Also Jessica/Hoyt may be the sweetest couple on television right now. I always liked Hoyt since he appeared in the show and when he was all nice to Sookie and about the dead waitress. Happy to see Layfette is alive and well and I really loved the scene where he got home and started to cry, really touching stuff.

What the fuck is up with that Daphne bird? Something tell's me she might have something to do with the monster from the start of the episode, though hopefully she's not evil, I'd like to see Sam get the girl this time as he's a favourite of mine.

Fantastic Episode, I'm liking this show more and more every time a new episode comes on.

That shit at the beginning of the episode was fucking crazy. Some kind of minotaur maybe? Anyways, Sookie almost dying, Bills blood not helping and both Bill and Eric having no idea what the hell attacked her was interesting, as it shows that there are lots of stuff out there that even the vampires don't know about. In fact, the first ten or 15 mins were great.

Lafayette! I'm glad he's not dead and they finally got him out of the basement. He's too awesome to waste down there. Him coming home and crying was a nice touch and maybe they can send his character on another direction.

Jason was one of my favorites in the first season, but since he's doing the whole cult thing this season he's pretty dull. I did like the little things here and there that show he's still kinda dumb like smacking his head against the window after he woke up from the nightmare.

I'm not sure what to think about Eric at this point. I mean, he seems like a decent character but they haven't fleshed it out very much. I'd like to see more of him.

I actually thought that the teenage vampire chick was going to kill that kid, who I kinda like. He's almost too nice. I guess not though. Interesting to see what happens though, I hope they don't just go with the glammer route again.

yeah an amazing episode.

I too was thinking werewolf at the beginning , then when i saw the horns i was like Oh Shit!! Bills blood not being able to heal her was a bit shocking.

I also like how Bill got pissed at Eric for offering his blood to sookie because he was stronger. Thought bill was gonna bite Eric's arm off.

Maybe Jessica can learn from Bill and Sookie and control herself and will be able to have a relationship with a human. That is if Bill allows it , he showed how protective he is of Jessica.

That old woman doctor was hilarious . i couldn't help but laugh when she was on screen.

I knew something was up with Daphney. I don't think she's a friendly though. maybe she's a partner for that beast or like a slave like the vamps have. Because if she was attacked those gashes would be killing her just like Sookie. or should be one and there are more around , she could have gotten the gash while fighting with another one.

I also hope Tera will keep an eye on mary anne now. She knows something weird is going on. I don't think Eggs is innocent I think he knows what going on.

Can't believe the next episode won't be until July the 12th. In the previews for the rest fo the season it looks like jason is attacked by someone in a hoodie. it looks a lot like Layfette is the person attacking him.

I don't think jason will last much long in the church. He's slowly returning to his old ways and soon he will get caught with the preacher's wife.

anyone else get a kick out of Andy at the party ?

I busted out laughing when he said something like " Sorry to be a Party Pooper" just the way he said it was funny.

Jason is awesome still. I think this God stuff could really lead somewhere and they're just building it up slowly. Right now it seems like they might even have him go out to kill Bill or even turn against his sister again, but we'll have to wait and see. Certainly really interesting.

Great episode, seems to get better and better. That thing at the start was pure awesome and I cant wait to see who or what it actually is. And I'm really interested by Daphne, because she could be really evil or the complete opposite. Part of me thinks she's slightly like Sookie? Maybe that's way off the mark though, just weird how she had the same marks.

And I love Jessica. Every character they introduce is somehow awesome, fantastic stuff. Hopefully she stays more good like Bill, rather than turn evil straight away.

Best show on television today hands down. It kills me that I have to wait for the 12th to get another episode. Season one was good, it introduced us to the setting and all of the characters really well. However season two has really been bringing the goods since the first episode.

My girlfriend is reading the books right now and is shocked at how different they've been. That's what I think I love about the series, they're not sticking to the books 100% and they're creating new stories. I don't know why someone would want to sit through a whole season of a show if it went word for word by the book.

Hahaha, I saw an advert for this earlier tonight...hahahaha, it looks SO FUCKING TERRIBLE!! Like seriously, seriously bad. Is it?

No.

It's pretty awesome. Although I'd say it's one of those programmes you either love or hate. If you bother watching it, don't just watch the first episode and judge it from that, because it picks up hugely from there and takes a while to really sink in. It's pretty over the top in places, which makes it different and pretty fantastic if you ask me. I also feel almost all of the characters are actually likeable for once, which is always a plus. Certainly a programme you should give a chance, but you'll love it or hate it, nothing in between.

Also Matzat, do not speak badly about Sookie

Nah, it´s a medicore show that fills in nice now that nothing elth is on. It´s not terrible and it´s not great... but it´s not just an old concept refilmed the 23ed time.

Just because a hot girl undresses for "you" dos not make her perfect. :-p Sookie Stackhouse is too stupid to live.... it´s realy strange that they have such a girl as leading roll... i guss this is trying to win over the twilight fans that dig a hot chick with a deathwish aswell.

It's nothing to do with her 'undressing', which she doesn't exactly do every single episode. It's just that her character is different compared to the usual bimbo shit in every other programme. And honestly, when has this concept been done like this 23 times in other TV shows? I've never seen it like this before, but I obviously haven't seen every programme ever created. This has parts of what other shows have had, but it mixes it with other stuff too. You either love it or hate it, I don't feel you can be in the 'middle'. You'll either think it's pathetic and over the top or completely fall in love with it. For me, it's fantastic and refreshing compared to a lot of what is out there right now. Also in all honesty, Sookie is nothing like Bella out of Twilight. I'm glad they gave her the leading role really, because she's really different to most of the other women out there that have the leading roles in shows, which gives it something different. Not being funny either, while I find her beautiful, she's not exactly casted because she's a 'hot chick'. Ugh, again, the people who haven't seen it need to watch it for themselves, because it's really not a programme you can judge from any review if you ask me.

Seriously...the advert features some of the most terrible forced acting, with the shittest/cheesiest lines of dialogue I have ever seen in my life...me and my dad were sitting there last night absolute PISSING OURSELVES at how terrible it seems.

Read again, find the "not".

Well, i am, and Sookie is one of the reasons i am not leaning towards zOMG best show evar. Again, because shes just stupid. I don´t mind the actress, i mind the writeing.

And the reason she is the focus of this show is that the books this show is modelt after are actualy knowen as the "The Sookie Stackhouse novels" and have been around for eight years or something... and yes, in them Sookie is a good great deal smarter than on this TV Show, go read em. ;-)
