Seems to be a fitting time as any, with the fixtures being released tomorrow. BBC have a very interesting article on how the fixtures are made; worth a read.

My predictions? Utd to pip Liverpool once again - as long as they replace Ronaldo adequately. City to have a good year, and Villa to sink back into mid-table (sorry Summ)

The way I see things going

1 - Chelsea?

2 - Man Utd

3 - Liverpool

4 - Arsenal

5 - Everton

6 - Sunderland

7 - City

8 - Villa

9 - Spurs

10 - Wigan

I'll probably be well off the mark but I do think that teams like Sunderland and Wigan are going to be teams on the up whilst teams like Fulham might end up having an off season.

Here's the table that I actually would WANT to happen, but naturally that will never happen in a million years >_<

1 - Liverpool

2 - Chelsea/Man Utd

3 - See Above

4 - Everton

5 - Arsenal

6 - Fulham

Thought I'd throw my potential finishing top table into the hat ;)

[1] Manchester Utd

[2] Chelsea

[3] Arsenal

[4] Liverpool

[5] Manchester City

[6] Aston Villa

[7] Everton

[8] Wigan

[9] Fulham

[10] Westham

I do believe that Utd will claim the championship again because I don't believe the other top 3 clubs will make significant signings.

2000/01

2001/02

We finished 7th both seasons.

That's our lot. We'll be, probably/hopefully, just above the relegation battle this year, safe but nothing amazing.

EDIT: To give an actual figure I've been predicting 11th-14th for us this season, need to see whose signed though and get a feel for who's going to be good this season.

This is probably the first pre season where I do not have a clue where Rovers will finish, it all depends on what we do in the transfer market. If we sell Roque for the £15m city are reported to have offered, then we need a new striker, new cm, new rb, backup or new lm, so basically 4 new players. Then we are looking at selling Derbyshire and Zurab, so that is another new striker and cb that we need. All in all.........probably bottom half of the table again, but not in a relegation fight this time.

Waaaaay too early to pick out a winner. I mean, teams have about a month and change of shopping to get done before I could even fathom picking a winner. If teams stayed like they are, though, Chelsea for the win.

How do you see that? Chelsea don't have half the squad depth United do, even if they have lost Ronaldo.

Mm...fixture lists. Somehow so interesting to look at, yet virtually nothing I can do with the information. :shifty:

I'm kind of glad we have Burnley at home quite early on though (2nd home game). Hopefully we can thrash the buggers.
